When you know Tucker is faking his handicap, watching the scene trying to pick up his keys is friggin priceless, the wobbles, the jitters, too funny.
Whenever I'm lifting heavy weights and I start to get tremors in my arms, that scene pops into my head and fucks up my set.
He is a great comedian - Lee Evans. Great physical comedy.
it was hilarious before
How did he afford. The office place to trick Mary?
@@holypaperExactly. It was fucking hysterical. Everyone is so scared of offending anyone else by laughing at something that's clearly funny.
aw man you skipped over the "hair gel" scene
Always loved the whole miscommunication in the interrogation room. "I know this is the Bible Belt and everything, but where I come from this is not that big a deal." 🤣
“He told me it was illegal.”
Taking a page from the interrogation room scene in My Cousin Vinny.
The actor playing Mary's brother Warren is "cameraman Kenny" in the original Scream.
I'm already laughing because I know y'all about to be laughing😂😂😂😂
This lol
Me too!! 😅😂
Word. I was laughing as soon as I clicked on this.
One of the best comedies ever..lol
Agreed
Awwww you didn’t show the ‘hair scene’!
This film is hilarious - Puffy getting CPR is still my fave scene 😂
Cameron and Matt Dillon were dating at the time.
I know, right!? I’m also bummed that they missed ‘Build Me Up Buttercup’ at the end.
''I work with Rtards'' There's something about Pat
You guys do realize that was Brett Farve right, hall of fame quarterback of the Green Bay Packers!!!!!
I don't know if anyone ever realizes it's him!
Small dik steals from poor people , yup that’s him
Meh.
Most reactors are too young to know who Favre is
@@gregory3499 Being American would likely help too.
Such a classic! The "Tucker twist" still kills me, I was definitely blindsided by that the first time I watched this film. Fun fact: the actor who played Tucker said people would often approach him and say they loved his character but thought his English accent was too fake - but that's his actual accent! His "Norm" accent is the fake one.
That's funny lol
Actually the English accent Lee Evans is using in this is not his real accent either.
Lee's natural accent is an Essex accent with a hint of West Country but for American audiences at the time he went with the more universally known posh home counties accent.
He was also the most popular stand up comedian in Britain in the 90's with massive sold out arena tours
Keith David, Mary's stepdad, has one of the best comic performances I've seen: "Oh My God, Devil, Satan!"
I'm so glad you guys knew and appreciated who Keith David is for his scenes. But no hair gel reaction?
I really wanted to see their reaction to the hair gel!! They didn't recognize Bret Favre! WTH?
They're Canadian, dude.
@@jthomann71 That explains it!
@@jthomann71 I'm in the US and wouldn't recognize him.
Bret Fav-ruh?
I'm Canadian and know Favre. But then, I'm a Vikings fan.
I'll never forget seeing this in the theater in 98. I was in high school, had no idea what I was in for... you sometimes couldn't hear parts of the movie because we were all laughing so hard. It was crazy.
It was the only comedy I was about to see in over a year that I didn’t hear sucked before me and my then-girlfriend went to see it. We didn’t know what we were in for. The whole audience laughed beginning to end. It’s in my top 5 for funniest movies of all time.
Yeah, I had the same experience. It was like the whole audience became one and held together throughout the movie.
I was 18, in the back row, and the "sure thing" girl I was with damn near gave me an unwanted (let's call it a sexchange) laughing when Ted zipped himself up and screamed. One of the weirdest experiences of my life, but definitely unforgettable.
@@clevelandcbiouch! Lol
I saw it with my dad when I was 16, and we had the exact same experience!
I am already dying of laughter because I can imagine how much you guys died laughing because this is one of the funniest movies ever and one of the greatest. Such a classic
Surprised you cut the most famous scene of the movie, with the "hairgel".
Damn.. I really wanted to see your guy's reaction to the hair gel scene. That was the point in theaters where people either walked out or fell out laughing.
Nah, I watched it in a sell out matinee and the whole crowd almost die of laughing.
@ I worked at a movie theater in America’s “Bible Belt.” They can get easily offended by the littlest things.
The most iconic cowlick in history.
@ You'd be surprised. I saw this in the movies twice. The first time was in a downtown NYC theater on opening weekend and some of the people walked out. There's some really stuck up wealthy type people that think this kind of humor is beneath them.
oh no, you cut out the best line! "7 chipmunks twirling on a branch, eating lots of sunflowers on my uncles ranch, you know the old children's tale from the sea!"
*that old
In case you didn't know, the most controversial scene was the hair gag. Everything else was normal then.
I'm sure the beans above the frank shocked a few people too, seeing that in a movie theatre drew a lot of inhaling when I saw it.
The hair load gag was in another movie a few years prior to this. I can't for the life of me remember what movie it is. It was funny in that film too, but TSAM added to the gag and made it better.
Jump in with the answer anyone, please.
I was so sad when they left that part out :(
People were walking out the theater when the "im working with rtards" scene happened.
@@RedRoseSeptember22 they probably want you to join the Patreon to see their reaction to that scene.
I’m laughing because your cat has lots to say…she may be in the other room, but she’s chatting it up!😂 🐈
I didn't think people could really be "laughing in the aisle" until I went to the theater to see this. People were literally falling out of their seats and laughing in the aisle. Most shocking comedy when it came out.
It made a lot of money at the box office which I think was rare for an R-rated comedy in the day.
I was hoping to see your reaction to the hair gel scene! Buuuuummmer
Skipped over one of the funniest parts, the hair gel.
This movie was too much for these two. 😂
@@Mikey_Sea yeah and their fake empathy was cringey. they didn’t even know who Brett was
@@AFR0MAMBAthey're Canadians.
Markie Post 💙
Mary's Mom was one of the 70/80s generation crushes. She was on "The Fall Guy" and "Night Court". Such a beauty and sadly passed away recently.
*How can you not include the most infamous scene for this movie. You didn't include him "unloading his gun" & **#Mary** take some of it?*
that's crazy smh. the one scene everyone wanted them to react to.
@@daga11 exactly they had such a big cut there we didn't get to see them react to him jerking off or losing the stuff her grabbing the stuff or the restaurant where the stuff got hard in her hair
Probably didn't want to get demonetized.
I know, how do you not show the single most Iconic scene from the movie. Also.... did they not recognize or know who Brett Farve is? The made no mention of him being a famous QB, it like they did not know who he was.
@@txaggievet Would two Canadians be likely to recognise an American football player of 25 years ago?
I always figured the inmates cheer, because dude was in for MULTIPLE murders! Then left! That'd be Fing insane 🤣
So sad that the hair-gel incident did not make it into the cut, and not even into the discussion afterwards
for more with 'Mary', check out 'the sweetest thing', with Cameron Diaz, Christina Applegate, and Selma Blair, IMO it's one of the best female lead comedies I've seen, hilarious.
The title of that movie does not do it justice! lmao
Thank! I’m gonna check it out!
For some reason people never react to “Brett” actually being Brett Farve
Probably because Favre retired when these guys were really young, and he's been disgraced and lower-profile for almost as long.
'cuz no one cares!
@@jawbone78 true. Though I’m not surprised 20 somethings don’t recognize him. This movie came out at the peak of Favre’s career. This movie came out in 98 and GB won Super Bowl in 97 and Favre won 2 straight MVPs.
These boys are just now getting acquainted with '90s movies. They would have still been in diapers when this movie was released. Won't be surprised if they don't know who Dan Marino is in Ace Ventura either.
They're younger guys...also Canadian
One of the most funniest comedies ever. Lol. " FRANK AND BEANS!!!" FRANK AND BEANS!!"
Yes!! Frank and beans!! 😂😂🤣😆
Has the hair gel scene been cut out or I've missed something?
You guys HAVE to watch Kingpin, another Farrelly Brothers classic and in my opinion one of the most underrated comedies of all time
ABSOLUTELY! It had a kick-ass soundtrack too.
_"We don't have a cow. We have a bull..."_
_"I'm gonna go brush my teeth."_
😂😂
Definitely. One of Bill Murray's greatest performances too.
Did I miss their reaction to the hair gag, or did they cut that part?!?
Cut
Where’s the bit with the hair gel?
They got scared
WOW! This is one of Ben Stillers BEST comedies and Cameron Diaz was fine in this!
This was the better than good Cameron to Vanilla Sky's worse than evil Cameron, but she's hot as fuck in both.
30:20 Turns out Mary was really lucky she didn’t end up marrying Brett 😆
"How the hell you get the beans above the frank" is 4eva classic 😂
Learn to use question marks, dumbass.
You’ll have to watch Me, Myself and Irene next
Not a word spoken, the milk mustache on Hank just before driving the car into the barber shop made me laugh so hard! 😂😂
Yes please
Next Cameron Diaz film should be Being John Malkovich.
This falls more into raunchy romantic dark comedy and I love it.
Did you guys notice that "woogie" is the same actor who plays The disgusting Take my strong hand guy from scary movie 2 haha
Eagleheart. Look it up and die laughing.
His name is Chris Elliot lt and he has done WAY more stuff way before Scary movie 2.
@@MrParkerman6 Ok well aware of that, just thought I would mention it as these have seen scary movie 2 and were particularly grossed out by that character, next time I will be sure to put his whole filmography with dates and everything in my comment🤦♂️
@@MrParkerman6 I clicked on your name by accident and seen your other comment on here, I am really sorry for your loss I wish you and your family all the strength to get through this difficult time I sincerely mean that🙏
“I think the dragon’s DEAD!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Funniest thing about this movie. Tuckers actor is actually British IRL. That's his accent. That's real.
U skipped the hair gel scene!
The Farrelly Brothers have a nice string of movies in which they feature people with intellectual and physical disabilities. They do it without exploitation and develop them into 3-dimensional characters. Warren in this movie, Shallow Hal, Me Myself and Irene, and the new Woody Harrelson movie.
For more Cameron & Julia Roberts - a hilarious comedy
“My Best Friend’s Wedding!” ❤
This movie is iconic! I knew you guys would laugh so much!
How on earth did you leave the hair gel scene out?!?
6:30 _so are you, are you, are you going to the prom? -hah?..._ is my favorite 😆
If you guys like this Ben Stiller movie, you guys should watch Heavyweights. He was at his funniest.
"It's evaluation day. The key word is "value". Do you have any? " and Lars screaming about perkisizing with uncle Tony, classic.
@@jstratton1981 “And I am Lars” 😂😂😂
"I'm feeling skinny, Tony!"
"So am I!"
The Farrelly Brothers who directed this movie actually included some handicappable people in a few of their movies, like they did in this one. Even giving them some bigger roles than just extras. "Me Myself and Irene" had some I believe. And "Stuck On You" had one in a speaking role, if you ever watch that one, make sure to watch his speech, just after the credits roll, from the actor. I think it was pretty cool of them. Sometimes they will show pictures of all the crew in their credits with their names on them also.
Using euphemisms as in 'handicapable' is tip-toeing around the condition and is rather insulting. There is nothing embarrassing or anything to be ashamed of being or being called handicapped. We are what we are.
Handicapable?
You think that when you change the name of a condition, you're gonna change the condition?
What word would you like? They casted many types of disabilities in their films. What's the one word that covers everyone that would make you happy, because I'm pretty sure whatever word I used would get the same kind of negative comments from different people.
I'm trying to bring light to something good the Farrelly brothers did that most directors don't, that should be celebrated, but now we're too busy talking about a word.
@@mattschliemann9683Most of the disability community actively dislikes "handicapable", just FYI. It's been a bone of contention since the 90s.
Y’all fools need a half hour weekly special on Showtime or something 😂😂smh
Great reaction as always from you guys! I love this movie. One of my favourite 90's comedies, it's my style of humour.
The hitchhiker Harland Williams is so funny in this and Half Baked 🤣
Ah you should have let the credits play lol. This is probably my favorite Farrelly Brothers movie lol.
“FRANKS AND BEANS, FRANKS AND BEANS!!”😂
Guys seriously, watch The Crow: City of Angels! I guarantee you vibes from the first part, but the story is completely different. You will not be disappointed.👍
Did they completely miss that "Brett" was Brett Favre? Or, do they not know who that is? That was one of the best punchlines of the movie.
Don't think they knew that was Brett Favre
I was thinking the same thing!
"I think the dragon's dead!" The only legitimately funny I've ever heard him say, and it's perfect. :)-
Fun Fact: Dropping Ted on the stretcher wasn't scripted. When it happened, they cut to make sure Ben Stiller was okay and then thought it was so funny they left it in.
Also, I think the best part that a lot of people miss is when Ted is leaving at the end he pulls the headphones away from Warren's ear to say goodbye to him. Every other time Warren would attack him, but this time he just said bye. It shows how comfortable he got with Ted by the end and I like to think it's a big reason why Mary has that expression on her face and ends up going to him.
Yes, also when Warren dropped him on the floor in the living room was an accident. Stiller put his work in on this one!
You are right except for the part about cutting.
Oh hell yeah finally you guys watch this classic. This movie is definitely in my top 20 comedies.
Haha - I was just thinking....what if Mary had fallen for "Tucker"? He'd have to continue pretending he was disabled for the whole duration of their relationship. What if they got married and had kids?
The guy who played Tucker is like the Jim Carrey of the UK, for purposes of illustration. He's just completely wacky bonkers.
What always blows peoples minds is that the old tanned women with the dog is the psychic woman in the Insidious films.
Awww why did you cut it so short? So many funny moments missed :( Glad you guys enjoyed it though!
This cast is packed with great comic performers.
If you haven't seen tenacious D with Jack black it's a good one 🤣
Keith David is such an underrated actor.
Facts
Goliath, Dr.Facilier ❤
He made me laugh so hard in the film, Men At Work.
That stuff about the ‘loaded gun’ is 100% true. I know from experience.
I'm shocked you didn't react more to see Brett Favre at the end.
They are probably too young to know who it is.
yeah, they'd have to swap in Gronk or something now :)
@@lokiv7 Farve was Brady famous.
oh I get it, I knew who he was in the theater that day, I just feel like I see Gronk on random commercials and things more than Brady
12:20 "she looks like she's made of leather"
To steal a phrase from a show called 'Strangers with Candy':
"She looks like an old Moccasin"
I love how Brett ended up being Brett farve lmao
Fun fact, for the younger years, the team used editing, blending, and semi early CGI to make the actors look more like they did in actual photos of them.
Never knew that!
I would love to see your reaction to the "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" (2013) movie. It is the best Ben Stiller's movie. I actually do not like Ben Stiller much, but this one is great!
Yes, def his best movie!
100% agreed
If you never watched it, there's this movie calle "The Royal Tenenbaums" (2001), with Ben Stiller on it...... One of my personal favorites and one of the best Ben Stiller's performances...... (Although, Luke Wilson steals the show)
Excellent movie I agree !
Ben Stiller '95 movie Heavyweights is a good Disney movie, if you haven't seen it yet.
Yooo, I for real lost it when y’all started freaking out over Puffy🤣😭
Yay! First time I watched this movie I was 10 years old. Didn’t really understand it lol but all I knew was that Ben stiller was funny and it was making my family laugh like hyenas during movie night in the living room.
Lee Evans, who plays Tucker/Norm, is a brit and a famous stand-up comedian there. His accent as Tucker would be closer to his natural accent whereas his stoned American pizza delivery boy Norm accent is fake, which helps make the reveal extra-hilarious because it's the last thing you'd expect.
One of the few "dumb comedies" that actually makes me laugh. Was a treat to see you both watch this for the first time.
It’s not dumb tho very clever in fact
@@-M0LE it is a known genre of dumb comedy it is not a critique.... as it IS very much in the dumb comedy genre.... that said, feel anyway you wish to feel about it specifically.
Kingpin was so underrated.

30:41 that’s such a universal thing. Doing the right thing, then balling your eyes out around the corner.

Y’all should give A Fish Named Wanda a try if you liked this :)
This was the "Animal House" (the movie that changed comedy forever and you should definitely put on your list) of the 90s.
By that I mean, for years every comedy released after tried to copy it.
When he says “he didn’t even look her up! He was down there closing the Rice-a-roni deal!” That one kills me. 😂😂

"You are a fucking liar!" The delivery of that line was PERFECT! 🤣🤣
Ok besides not including the most iconic scene from the movie... do you all not know who Brett Farve is or did you not recognize him? You made no mention of who the hall of fame QB was.... Brett was the real life Brett Farve from the Green Bay Packers, which is why Woogie asked him for an autograph and Mary said she didnt care because she was a niners fan.
