Rest In Peace to Doris Roberts (1925-2016)
Best grandma ever!
@@deathproofpony I can hear her saying fraaaaank! In my head
@@kevaunmitchell1316
ROBBIE!
“I’m way too baked to drive to the Devils house.” 😂
Yo I crack up so much every time when I hear that 😂
Drive monkey drive!
Phone's for you, I think it's the devil 😂😂
there's some good quotes to be had when they're high as a giraffe pussy xD
I'm hanging up my Xmas tree, dude, it's July!
"I have a CB radio, so I can talk to other car beds" 😂😂
So many classic bits in this movie, Rob Schneider in the beginning is my favorite. "It's like Cypress Hill concert in here, i don't rent to these kind of people"
"Hey you forgot smoking lamp! Sorry, was that expensive piece?"
“YOU’RE a hooker!” Is a line my friends and I use if we need to break up tension in an argument.
I LOVE this. 😂
And then hit them with the "YOU'RE a LOOKER!" hit em with the surprise positivity 😂
My grandma watched this film once with me. She didn't talk to me for a week after it.
How many times do I have to apologize for cuming on her?
😅😅😅
I hate to be the one to make the joke but I will.... "Did you actually sleep with her roommates?" Hope you laughed, either way have a good day 😁👍
Mine gets high while watching this ha
I bet she couldn’t walk right for a week! Atta boy! 😂
Such a classic stoner comedy, my parents got me and my brother a DVD when we were younger, my friends would come over and watch it after school on Fridays.
Tell me, did you score your parents stash on those nights?
@@spddracer I was too young at the time (like 12) my parents didn’t fully catch on till they saw the movie themselves.
Tho a few years later I did end up smoking some of their stash watching it with them
This was a movie my father would put on for me and my brothers too. This is a comedy you have to either be stoned or a kid to enjoy fully. Same goes for "There's Something About Mary" and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike back"
Grandma’s Boy is one of the Best movies to watch while you’re getting high to next to Half Baked
Not a hugely popular movie, but definitely a favorite at our house. My dad would keep loaning it out to friends, and then he'd forget who had it, so he'd buy another one.
I have two copies as well for the same reason! Haha
Love this movie. Remember seeing it in theaters with some friends and going back the next week with other friends to see it again and it was gone. They literally had it in theaters for like 2 weeks. Such an underrated movie
I saw it opening weekend at the CHinese Theater when I lived in LA. I was the only one at my showing. It was criminal how bad this bombed with people.
i never noticed the "canada must die" poster. thats hilarious.
Watched this movie one day randomly. Didn't expect this much of a funny as hell gem.
Jp is also in Dodgeball : A True Underdog Story as the guy who falls in love with the woman on the globo gym team. and he is also in the Avatar films
One of the greatest stoner films in history lmao. Glad you two enjoyed, awesome reaction
I remember me and my friends renting the movie and we laughed our asses off. All the time we were quoting it to each other in class
The best stoner movie
Whoa, I'll smoke it with you bro, we'll go to the looney bin together I dont give a fuck 😂😂😂@@K1ng1995
Grace was played by Shirley Jones. If you look up some old pictures of her, she was beautiful. She was the Queen of Movie Musicals for a few years. She was the leading lady in Oklahoma, The Music Man, Carousel, etc. She's an amazing actor, and I'm shocked that they got her for this movie.
Oh. My. God. I've seen Oklahoma a dozen times and never would have guessed that was her!
@@ApollymiiaThanata She's nearly unrecognizable, but yeah, that's her :)
The scene with her and nick swordson, when they were in the bedroom, her husband and her son were on set for that scene and they thought it was absolutely hilarious, this whole movie is hysterical, just a fun movie to watch.
She is also the only singer to ever be signed to a personal contract with Rodgers and Hammerstein.
@@Xerrill Did not know that. Thanks :)
Demonic was an actual game that was being developed at the time this movie release. Sadly it was canceled and was never released.
It was supposed to be developed by Terminal Reality and published by Majesco but Majesco was experiencing money troubles at the time and had to cancel it.
FUCKIN JPP 😅
"Don't judge me monkey" has been a phrase me and my dad pass between each other. Usually when we've just done something stupid.
I don't know who has been requesting this movie lately but I fucking love you. This is one of my favorites and I feel its somehow slipped under the radar of most people. The reason I have my job and career as a game programmer is because I watched this movie when I was younger
This movie is so timeless and so damn funny. Lol you guys never disappoint me. I fuckin love yall❤ this is one of my favorite comedies of all time. 😂
I'd argue it's probably the greatest movie of all time lol.
@@homebound56 Agreed
What's crazy is that JP is Norm Spellman from Avatar, the one with the blue people.
And on bones as an assistant who is criticaly depressed 😂
I've watched this movie so many times... it's fun to watch the highlights again with people who haven't seen this before.
The 2000s was a great decade for comedies. I miss that decade.
It really was. Before got to soft. When ppl didn't care about rude or crude.
I had a few friends that worked QA at Bioware in Edmonton (before the dark times, before EA). They loved this movie. I think they felt someone finally had the balls to tell their story.
@9:23 that was created by nick swardson (the guy who plays Jeff) it originally started as a voice for various Adam sander comedy albums but actually ended up as it’s own show
Linda Edna Cardellini who was Samanta also played Velma in Scooby-Doo. She also appeared in numerous other movies.
She is a straight babe!
Don’t forget freaks and geeks
@@matt1839 Yes, sir!
Hawkeye's wife in the MCU
Around the same time another classic is ‘Strange Wilderness’ and it’s another comedy that dropped when grandmas boy did. If you laughed and enjoyed this movie you’ll love ‘Strange Wilderness’
Yes, great movie.
Grace is even more awesome when you learn the actress playing her is the mom from the Partridge Family 👍😎
"What's that ringing? Do I have a tumor?" I use that line a lot lmao
mst3k pretty nice us all everyone
Seeing people react to movies is so fun. You get to laugh along with them
Yo I forgot all about this movie. I used to watch it with my cousin all the time when we were kids
You seem to think watching Grandma's Boy will stop people from asking if you've watched Grandma's Boy, that's cute.
I’ve seen this movie like 50 times, and I never noticed the banana on the baking sheet that he puts in the oven 🤣🤣💀 I’m so glad I watched this - excellent catch!!
Everything about this movie is pure gold.
"My roommates said they're going to get rims for Christmas, or a CB radio so I can talk to other car beds." lmfao
This is definitely on my top 5 best comedies list. I watched the hell out of it, multiple times, when i first discovered it. In fact, I don't think I've ever re-watched a movie as many times as I have this one. Glad you folks got to experience this one.
I loved this movie so much when I was a kid that I won a competition with friends for the longest password you can get on the first try in ten seconds. My password was 70+ characters and all lines from this movie.
Haven’t started to watch yet but I’m glad you guys are finally watching this movie! My friends pop punk band named their album “what does high score mean?” After this movie lol.
You should watch the episode from the Catherine Tate Show " Did you hear about our boy John?"
Classic. My Dad and I were dying with my brother first time we watched this in laughter. 😂❤
yo shits weak! shits weak! weezy!
This movie is absolutely goated. It’s a MUST watch for stoners, and exponentially more hilarious when high
So happy you enjoyed Grandma's Boy! Highly recommend Evolution and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World!
The guy who played JP was also great in DODGEBALL: A TRUE UNDERDOG STORY. If you haven't seen that yet, HUGE recommend!
I freaking love this movie, it's one of the ultimate films for me. Man I so wanted to see your reaction to the grandma pretending to be Sophie's ghost, that and the monkey doing karate. Those were the best parts of the film.
Subscribed!!! Love your channel, you always make me laugh 🤪
Grandmas boy!! Definitely one of my favorites 😂
Seen this movie atleast 8 times and love it every time.
Now you’ve gotta add Pineapple Express to your list
The guy who played JP was also in Avatar.
FINALLY THEY ARE WATCHING GRANDMA'S BOY.
Idk how you guys choose movies, bit sometimes you just get it right and do awesome choices. This is 100% a classic and a hilarious movie and is one of the awesome choices you have made. Soo damn happy you reacted to this. Hopefully it gets other channels to react to it as well.
You guys should watch The Benchwarmers, it came out this same year and is similar in comedy tone. Like that early 2000's comedy vibe.
The actor that plays JP is a friend of a friend that lives in LA. He was in the wedding party for my friend back in 2009 at his wedding in Puerto Rico. That was an interesting weekend.
This is one of the most quotable movies ever!! Me and my cousin to this day call people Hookers all the time lol and anytime we do something stupid, we say "Don't judge me Monkey..." lmao
I'm glad to hear that living with your grandmother was such a pleasure for you guys. I never lived with mine but I did visit her basically every day between middle school and around junior year of HS. She always had leftovers that were the best thing ever. Literally anything she made was just delicious. We would play SkipBo and drink coffee while she told stories of her life. Around my Junior year in HS she was admitted to the hospital because she had basically fallen into a coma. 2 weeks later they found she had a blood infection but it was too late to save her. I was in school when she passed away but my mother was with her. She woke up for about 5 minutes before finally going out and my mom said she just kept saying "mom..." over and over. I miss her every day.
so the reason they had to do a close up the first time JP exited the room the way he did the actors said they were laughing too much
so they couldn't show them since technically they wouldn't be laughing
so they couldn't show it.
also the dance dance revolution part was so funny cause the guy jeff goes against for it is eric of craig and eric from drake and josh,
where they were two nerds in that
so it was funny seeing him in this.
i remembered loving this movie, but i didn't remember it being this funny!
So many classic quotes, I actually used "that's what old people do, they fall asleep" earlier today
This movie is a classic! The amount of times I've watched this....with all my buddies. We still quote this movie to this day! Glad y'all enjoyed it
First off when stoned never cook I learned the hard way like Alex.
This is such a comfort movie for me. I’ve probably watched it at least 20 or 30 times since it came out. It’s got a little bit of everything.
If you ever watch Nick Swardson's comedy special titled "Serious, Who Farted?", you will find out some funny things about this movie.
For example, according to Nick Swardson in the pot smoking scene, Peter Dante was given fake weed. Peter then decided to get his own weed. So for each retake of that scene, he was lighting up real bong hits. Swardson stated that Peter, after the takes, said he "couldn't feel his legs" and that he needed to go to the hospital.
The entire house party scene at the grandma's house was gold
I was hoping tonight's upload would be awesome and it is indeed awesome. You guys are GREAT! I'd like to suggest 2007's "The Heartbreak Kid" with Ben Stiller for a future reaction. It's a hilarious guilty pleasure of mine.
I liked as soon as I saw the thumbnail. If ever there was a movie for you two, it is this.
This movie defined my teenage years growing up hahaha. I was 16 when I watched this movie and I was like finally! something that understands me! lol
Seen this so many times and never noticed the canada must die game. When the grandma shows up to give him his lunch lol
Doris Roberts. An absolute legend.
"Yeah monkey, karate chop the elephant" may be the greatest closing line of any movie ever.
the Oven Scene when Alex burned his had me dying from a heart attack. that was I've never laughed so hard in my life.
React to Horrible Bosses
I second this.
No, God no.
@Snowflake Killer why? I thought it was pretty good.
I Thrice
This would be awesome
I love this movie. Dante is the best character
Agreed. Being raised by your grandmother is on a wholenother level. Amen.
Here's something u didn't know but Dante was actually high and so was the crew at the end of the movie but they didn't know that but had a great time until the actor of Dante told them but throughout the movie the others acted it out except for the party as well.
I lived with my grandparents and it was definitely a privilege
J.P is absolutely hilarious. He was in the movie Dodgeball aswell.. But I don't know, after 2010+ i haven't really seen him in any big comedy roles.
“Anyone want an ice cream sandwich? They’re on whole wheat with lettuce “
and
“I can hear my hair growing “
are said out of my mouth more than I would like to admit 😅
Fun fact. The game that Alex made was supposed to be an Xbox game, but sadly they dropped it and it never came to be
One of the most underrated movies ever.
There's so much to love about this movie. It's twice as funny when your high.
Dante: DUDE! Where do you get your weed from!?
Mr.Cheezle: From you Dante.
Dante: OH YEAH! What’s up Mr.Cheezle!?
😂😂😂
6:36, awww good ole 2006 where most people didn't have smart phones, and easy internet access to beat the bishop.
I watch this once or twice a month. Best movie
Used to work for EA doing QA testing ... ... can confirm this movie is 100% accurate! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😎👍
Best stoner comedy ever. So many good quotes and scenes and characters
No way this is the first time seeing this classic
Oh my God, I can’t wait for this. I freaking love this movie and you guys are going to have fun.
This movie is so goofy and hilarious. My husband and I will randomly say lines from it at each other.
True story: I lived at a 55+ community from when I was 15 until I was 23 (my dad was old) and I can't wait to move back. My mom and her friends are savages! They've all learned drinking games from their grandkids and they're really good at them. I got my ass handed to me at beer pong by an 86 year old woman who was nearly blind from cataracts.
During the early days of COVID-19, they'd meet up in the developments clubhouse, dragging a lawn chair and a cooler. Then they'd each sit in a parking space and drink, socially distanced, for half of the afternoon.
been watching this since i was a kid and can quote 70% of this movie from memory love it so much
I did QA for Midway for 7 years. This is a SLIGHT misrepresentation but it's in vicinity of representing the game industry. There was no "finding all the bugs". It was test, log bugs. Get new builds with supposed fixes and new features, regression test the bugs and test new areas, log your bugs, wash, rinse, repeated for 9 months to a year and a half depending on the game.
RIP Doris Roberts. She was awesome in everything she did.
One of the best stoner movies ever made. Fun fact, Gay Robot is a reference to one of Adam Sandler's only comedy albums from the 90s. If you can find the skit, it's hysterical.
Soon as I heard “let’s fucking rage” I went to look for the song hahaha man that song brought back some good memories and also blurry ones 😂
Yaaassss I love this movie!!! I just watched it the other night while sitting on my own cloud 😂
I was in a test audience for this movie in the theatre on the historical horses-only street in Colonial Williamsburg.
Bro i forgot how funny the 2000's were! Also shoutout to that old Resident Evil 4 poster in the movie ❤😂
Good to see this movie revisited.
Certified Classic. My favourite Adam Sandler production.
Dude I’ve been trying to find a “Canada must die” game poster since this movie came out. I love a lot of movies but Grandma’s Boy is my all time favorite movie!
11:54 the cats got into the elder's medications and overdosed on them while the one in the middle had a rat stuck in its throat because it crawled in there when it was dead and then got itself stuck LMFAO!!!
I totally agree with you dudes about the whole grandma thing. I was raised with my Grandmother. She pretty much raised me. She was everything. I love her with all my heart. She also passed away december of 2009. Christmas was hard that year. She was also the glue that held all families together. I miss her so much. She made epic dinners. And she was beyond sweet to me. I think i mentioned that, but it is worth saying again. No one else has I do believe will ever come close to her cooking other then my moms. Even though she was extremely tough on everyone else, but to me she was the sweetest kindest most nurtering human being ever to me. She loved me with all her heart. God knows I miss her. Anywho, much love. This was a good reaction.
This is one of my favorite. Movies. Ever. So glad you guys reviewed it, I can't believe it 🤯
"Yo, kid... you can't be yelling like that when the lion gets here...."
