Even though the movie is about Jim's wedding, this is Stifler's movie. Also my favorite of the whole franchise.

Stiffler’s dance isn’t even strictly good, but it’s so just darn great.
Reminded me of Chris Pratt doing a card trick. Wasn't great magic, was enormously entertaining!
That’s what I love about these movies. They can’t be beat in terms of awkwardness, while also having charm with the characters that make them appealable. There is a fourth main one that brings back a lot of the missing cast in Wedding.
Just to add on while I’m watching, you asked where Oz was. There were rumors Chris Klein declined to come back for Wedding, although he later said it wasn’t true. He insisted him not being here was part of the writing. As were Nadia or the Sherminator. All three return for Reunion, mild spoiler. Hope you don’t mind me disclosing that.
I feel like these are a slight offshoot from what I call “bro comedies with heart” but are in the same general ecosystem. I Love You, Man, Role Models, Superbad (that one’s closer to this series). The comedy is raunchy and vulgar but the overall tone is sweet.
@@MrDevintcoleman Yes. Exactly. The creativity with the comedy and how wacky it comes about is superb. At the same time, the cast come off as both likable and relatable. It’s rare to see such a great balancing act done so efficiently with mature comedies now.
I always hate that Oz isn’t in this movie, it’s the only thing that’s let’s it down for me a bit
@@NikkieTwix I know. That feeling is mutual. Really was upset thinking Klein refused to come back or there might have been an internal dispute years ago. It is welcoming for Reunion to serve as a double entendre in also reuniting the cast.
Stifler destroying that dance floor stayed with me longer than I thought it would. He KILLED it!
This one is so damn funny. It's a classic. Can't wait for you guys to watch American reunion. The whole franchise was top tier comedy.

I think the reason that I like this one so much is that so many of the laughs come from the characters, rather than just absurd situations. We know and care about them - even Stifler to some extent - so it feels like we're hanging out with friends, and going through what they're experiencing.
Stiffler may be a jerk but he does have a heart, deep down he does care.

I’d definitely recommend checking out the spin off Band Camp (either before or after Reunion). It follows Stifler’s younger brother & the actor for him is so good at acting like Steve. Worth watching for him alone I’d say!

The next one, American Reunion, is so damn funny. It's my 2nd favorite in the franchise.
Love this film, the dance battle has to be one of the best movie scenes ever lol, Stifler is amazing
i found out why some Characters were missing and here you go Chris Klein's character Oz was not in American Wedding because he wasn't invited to return to the franchise - a decision made "above his pay grade." Other characters like Heather (Mena Suvari), Vicky (Tara Reid), and Jessica (Natasha Lyonne) were also missing from American Wedding due to creative decisions and story
The wedding and its setting, along with mandatory new characters like Michelle's family, resulted in fewer returning characters - just no room. There weren't any side arcs. Finch was always Stifler's main foil, and banging Stifler's mom is obligatory so Finch is in. Kevin is there to be tied up in the chair and to get to critical mass of friends to fill the car. Stifler's Mom is there to get $100K (?) for a day's work.
The rivalry between Finch and Stifler in theses movies is so great XD

Band Camp is definitely an organic progression of "being Stiffler's younger brother." The "Naked Mile" & "Beta House" duology definitely being difficult to explain why it's so good without spoiling the plot.

In case no one else mentioned it, in the original version of the movie (and some Deleted/Extended/Altered Scenes) Jim's grandmother is terminal and dying. There was a plot to make sure the wedding happened before she passed.

Love this reaction. If you want another great movie by Sean Williams Scott in a similar character then check out Role Models. It’s basically about him and another dude having to babysit/mind some young teenagers as part of a programme. Funny as fuck and as I said it’s like Stiffler is in full character😂

The real reason why Oz wasn't in the movie, it's cause the actor wasn't invited to reprise his role, as well as others like Nadia, Sherman, Vicky and many others, but they all return in AMERICAN REUNION. please check that one out too.

Classic movie and funniest one imo. Stifler was hilarious. The guy who plays Bear i believe was the first live action Thor, in the incredible hulk series from the 70s.

Went through secondary (high) school with the first 3 and actually mean a lot, house parties, first girlfriends etc, vwry relatable, some of my favourites. Be nice to have one more main entry and maybe find Stifler some love, be nice to see him settle down. Great films.

For me and I reckon a fair few, the 2nd one on the whole fell flat but when they then made this one - it definitely recaptured that magic that made the first so funny. The 2nd one was okay but....this one like the first was really laugh out loud moments literally from beginning to end.

Lots of random facts I could tell you, but I don't want to bore you. But, a few things:
Before the script came out, the guy that played stiffer said he didn't want to get typecast, and that he'd never do another one. When his agent called him in with the script, the agent said "I know you aren't going to do it, but promise me you'll read it. And he did, and he was actually mad about how funny it was. He said there was no way he could turn it down.
Oz and the other girls from the first 2 weren't asked because they didn't have a story for them. There was a deleted scene where they talk about Oz being busy with something, and I think the girls were meantioned too,
In the original version, and even in early trailers, the grandma only had two weeks to live, and that's why they got married so fast. But they decided to take that out, I'm glad they did.

That dance off scene is absolute legendary. Like you guys say, Stifler was dialled up to a whole other level in this one. Loved this one, but it all went rapidly downhill afterwards with the spin off's and the reunion.
