My father was a twin. They couldn't stand each other for complicated family reasons. The first time I remember meeting my uncle I was floored by how their mannerisms and taste in clothes was exactly the same even though they hadn't spoken to each other in almost 25 years.
My dad is also an identical twin, though they have completely opposite personalities

2 of of my brothers are twins, though not identical, they act pretty much exactly the same. Out of the 5 of us brothers the twins are the only ones who can stand each other, the rest of us hate each of our 4 brothers, the twins just hate 3 brothers.

That brother to brother song makes me think of my best friend who passed away 3 years ago at 47. He had two younger brothers who passed when they were about 30. He was about 36ish. They were all tight Andi felt like their brother.
I’m glad you noticed the Stallone reference. Arnold and Sylvester love to give funny moments in their movies about each other. In demolition Man there’s a scene where they drive past the Schwarzenegger presidential library. It’s a quick scene. But Sandra Bullock explains to him that the law was changed so he could run for president. That movie came out ages before Arnold ever ran for governor, so it shows you how close they really were as friends.
Arnold had a similar thing to the biker trying to steal his case and falling, in real life.
A few years ago, he was at an Ironman charity event in S Africa.
Some protestor did a flying kick to his back and stopped cold and fell.
Arnold move about one step forward but caught himself.

Fun story about this movie: This movie was released while my parents were dating & they saw it together. Well, some time later they were at a party playing pictionary (the game where you have 60 seconds to draw a picture & guess what it is) & my mom was given the word "twins." So, she drew the image of Arnold & Danny posing like in the movie poster & no one (not even my dad) guessed that was what the image was supposed to be. It's a story that almost 40 years later still gets told at parties, family gatherings, & anytime we see a movie with Arnold or Danny in it.
It’s been decades since I’ve seen this movie. I don’t think I’ve seen it since it came out in the theaters. It was hilarious watching you guys react to it though. 😂 i’m glad you enjoyed it. Thanks guys.👍🏽
One of the funniest things about this movie is watching Arnold and Danny in the over 30 years since - refer back to it and their other movie “Jr” in interviews.
They became close friends on these sets and i Think they are currently filming the sequel to Twins called Triplets.

I always thought the cute scenes where they mirror each other were to emphasize to the audience that they really were twin brothers and there was no mistaken identity involved. I know several sets of twins and sometimes they do have similar quirks, but so far I have not witnessed synchronization. 😏
some people even refuse to watch this because of commedy arnold but to me arnie is is top notch on commedy stuff! and every oneliners are commedy gold on each of his movies thanks to his delivery. twins is just as good and a must see :D. and kelly preston dayum bless her all

Great movie! We had this movie on VHS. It brings back alot of memories because I was a kid and lots of the people around then aren't around now.

There were talks of a Sequel, titled Triplets, with Schwarzenegger and Devito were considered for retuning as the script to the film was finished. It was going to involve a long Lost third brother, played by Tracy Morgan, and filming was going to commence but it was put on hold following the death of Ivan Reitman in February 2022.
I think it was supposed to be Eddie Murphy as the third brother but I guess Tracy Morgan was the replacement when Eddie decided to move on from the potential project.

Kelly Preston in that one scene..made me realize how much i loved women , as a young boy ..... her and Tea Thompson in howard the duck the movie with her underware bed scene..Doing almost the same pose . Rip to Kelly .. really sad shes gone
There's a lot of overlooked and underrated funny bits in this movie. The chain bit had me laughing my butt off in the theatre.
I would recommend Red Sonja (1985), Bridgette Nielson is fabulous, Arnold is great and it has young Ernie Reyes Jr who is so hilarious, and it is packed full of 80s cheese!

The group HAD actually thought of plans to make a sequel called Triplets, where it turns out that Julius and Vincent have a missing triplet brother, played by Tracy Morgan. But, Ivan Reitman (who directed Twins (1988)), sadly passed away in February 2022, at the age of 75. So, no more updates came out until May in 2023, when Arnold confessed that Jason Reitman (Ivan’s son) put a stop to the project once and for all.
This is the first time Sylvester Stallone appeared as a movie poster in an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. The second will be in the 1993 film The Last Action Hero as the Terminator on a movie poster. The two would finally work together in The Expendable 2 (2012).

Interesting piece of Hollywood trivia in regards to this movie, this is the movie that made sure actors were NEVER given substantial back end points on a film ever again. Arnold had never made a comedy before this movie, so no one had any faith in its success. Arnold and Danny wanted to do it so badly they said to the Studio, "Don't pay us, we'll each just take 20% of the box office profit for the movie." The studio agreed, assuming the movie would tank and not even make back its budget. The movie surpassed all expectations and made $216 million, with a budget of only $18 million. So Arnold and Danny both got paid around 40 millions dollars. With inflation that equivalent to about 100 million dollars in 2022. Studios learned their lesson and NEVER gave up back end points above like 5% ever again, and you have to be like Tom Cruise to even get that lol
Absolutely fabulous reaction, guys. Very smart and well thought out. Nice to see someone recognizing the undertones and not just the in your face comedy. Respect to both of you. If I may suggest another Danny DeVito film called Ruthless People. I haven't seen anyone react to that one and it is one of my favs.
Junior and Kindergarten Cop are great. I love Arnold. Even his later movies. I love old Action stars. Last Stand comes to mind.

This was another great choice. There were quite a few films during the late 80's and into the 90's that were actually clever & thought out of the box. For instance, you had City Slickers, and Crazy People. There were a lot of films, that were just out to have fun. As a bonus, they were also well done & took the production seriously, while not necessarily the topic seriously. You had quite a few films during this time, that were basically Arnold in different situations. Junior is another previously mentioned film that I recommend. Now, Danny D, He's an interesting guy, and he's an entertaining actor. There's a lot more to him than Taxi. Unfortunately, his list of films isn't nearly as large as Arnold's. Also, I suppose not everyone had an idea of how to use him properly. HOWEVER, two films of his I'd also recommend are "Throw Mama From the Train" and "Other People's Money". Perhaps, they'll get recommended sometime. Enjoyed the reaction.

I've always loved this movie ever since I was a kid. But I've always hated the scene where Julius drives the car on two wheels because the stunt drivers face is clearly visible. Always annoyed me. But Schwarzenegger and Devito's chemistry is so enjoyable. Years later, Heather Graham who played their mother at the very start of the film, would get famous after her role in Boogie Nights.

That parking garage scene was filmed in the parking structure my company's Glendale, Ca office used. I parked there all the time, but the movie was filmed before I started with the company.

Can you see "Blast from the past" if you haven't yet. It's a good nostalgia movie from my childhood. The hero king of remind me of Arnold in here. Both raised in isolation.. both raised to be the best..but kind of alone. Brandon Frasier in the role.
I love that movie! It's ridiculous but carried by Brendan Frasier who always puts heart in a film. He kind of reminds me of Adam Sandler but on the action side.

It's funny, my older sisters are identical twins, and they've NEVER looked the same to ME. I can always tell them apart, even in photos when they were kids. BUT, they live in the same town and literally have people mistake them for each other all the time. I can't see how it's possible. They're SIMILAR, but not the same, at least to me lol.
It's like Chris and Curtis, if I wasn't told I'd have not assumed they were identical twins, just similar familial brothers. When you've spent your whole life seeing difference, maybe it's all you see?
Watching this in the theater, such a pleasure having a character named JULIUS! 😊.

So glad you guys enjoyed this, definitely one of the classic 80s comedies! If you'd like another 80s comedy about twins, HIGHLY recommend Big Business - Lily Tomlin and Bette Midler killing it, along with a very young Seth Green, and Mary Gross.
Another great 80s comedy, with Bette Midler and Danny DeVito this time, is Ruthless People, which also stars Judge Reinhold. Some really fun slapstick in this one.
And personally I also enjoy another Mary Gross 80s comedy, Troop Beverly Hills, with Shelley Long, a very young Tori Spelling, Craig T Nelson, and some fun cameos including (but definitely not limited to) Cheech Marin.
I'm a twin so I know what you guys are talking about but me and my twin fill each other pain and sickness it wired and cool at the same time.
Arnold really should have played Frank's brother in It's Always Sunny.

My twins used to have their own language when they were little and even though they were fraternal (1 boy, 1 girl) they used to know when something was wrong with the other. Once they got older they forgot their secret language and as far as I know they can't sense things about each other anymore. They just turned 39 last month.
You guys will love “Kindergarten Cop” with Arnold Schwarzenegger. A good mixture of comedy and action.

Vincent thought they were negotiating for thousands, not nealizing it was for millions. He was trying to get $20 000 initially, but obviously 5 million was a lot more than that.
Another movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito is called junior. If ya'll haven't seen that movie I would recommend it.
