Daquan Gilsson exercise, your tongue 😁 to learn voice
Thanks for finally explaining what "tongue clench" means. That was the one thing kind of holding me back in your other lessons.
Glad to hear this was cleared up! Yay! -NYSC

EJERCICIOS
Thank you for these great notes, Luis! -NYSC

Tnx 😁
Thanks for watching, Jesse! -NYSC
I’m good with 1 2 3 and 4, some of 5, but I’m having trouble with the flexing. I was gonna do the Kermit voice, and you talked about tongue clench in the Kermit video, and told me that If I didn’t know what tongue clench was, that you made a video on it, so that’s the only reason I’m here.
Trying to do the "growl" as defined in CVT; any tips?
Is there any way to test if the exercises are ‘working’ for lack of a better way to put it, without doing the specific exercise? For example, for the back of tongue slides, is there a way to raise/lower the back of the tongue without going “eeee” or “aaaahhh” after you’ve done the exercises for say a week? Phenomenal videos nonetheless, keep up the amazing work! :)
I want to learn stitch trying starting kind of but still not perfect
thak you sir
Thank you for watching Vijay! -NYSC
Exercise 1-4 are pretty easy for me but I’m struggling a lot with #5
Any tips?
DUDE WTF
why does he have only 238K suscribed people?
he should have at least a million
Aw! Thanks! We're hoping to get there! :) -NYSC
My tongue is short. What to do about this? I can't touch my lower teeth while making the aaaaa sound with back of my tongue lowered. Please help me with this
This really helped me a lot. Thanks
Fantastic news! Thanks! :) -NYSC
With these exercises I can sound just like jar jar binks
Nice😎 -NYVC
Do these excercises help me correct uneven mewing ?
✊
✊🏻 -NYSC
Hey New York Vocal Coaching, I don’t know if you will see this comment but if you do then can you post a video of practicing that distortion where you clench the tongue and pull it back at the same time? It seems like Fozzie Bear and Ray Romano have this big distortion to the voice that’s caused by clenching the back of the tongue at the furthest of the back as possible and normal tongue clench won’t get the same distortion. Please do that eventually so I can practice making the distortion of pulling the tongue back and clenching it at the same time. I’m gonna need this to imitate certain voices
Hi Ladykiller! We'll pass this along! In the meantime, our Ray Romano episode might help you! -NYSc
The tongue is the easiest for me to control. I guess cause I tried beat boxing, but it was easy :)
That's really cool @The Nuggy Wuggy! -NYSC
I like how he makes robot nosice when the toung moves
He's a pretty funny guy @Meliodas Demon Kings Son! Make sure you subscribe so you don't miss any of his other great videos! -NYSC
Yes first again
Yay! -NYSC
exercise 2 was confusing and i dont understand what im supposed to be doing
Hi @Maja, we're sorry that you the explanations seemed confusing. We will try to explain it better here in writing. Try to make a "th" sound like at the beginning of "THis" and then transition that into an "s" like "Snake" and finally into a "sh" sound like "SHush" or "SHell". Then just reverse the order to "sh", "s" and "th". After you can do that, do these sounds as their voiced versions: "th" like "THat" to "z" like "Zebra", and finally to "j" like in "Judge" or "Judy". At the end, Brendan mentions that you can mix the voiceless and voiced to try and challenge yourself, such as "th" as in "THis", to "z" as in "Zebra", to "sh" as in "SHush". You can mix and match those in anyway you'd like. I hope that helps! -NYSC
My tongue doesn't arch from the middle like yours does, is it necessary for it to do so?
I wish I could answer your question! :( I suggest taking it to Brendan in his live chats! Check out our Community Tab for more info! -NYSC
I keep trying to do these exercises but my tongue keep going up instead of down, any tips?
Try using different vowels. "Ah", as in fAther, and "a" as in, Apple are both vowels that keep the tongue low. "Ah" will keep the tongue back and low, while "a" will keep it front and low. Try playing with those and paying attention to what your tongue does. -NYSC
Hey could you do Tony Montana from Scarface next on the Breakdown?
It's on the list! :D -NYSC
@@NewYorkVocalCoaching Sorry but for the life of i don't see it. Tere is a private video on there though. Maybe that's supposed to be it?
Oh! Whoops! We meant the list of suggestions! We'll consider this for a future episode! :) -NYSC
@@NewYorkVocalCoaching Haha okay then. Well I look forward to it
studying linguistics gave me a good advantage doing these lmao

My family think that I'm summoning a demon XD
Well, that is a predicament @BlueGhost! The noises and expressions from vocal exercises can be a bit extra but they will help in the long run :) -NYSC
