The matchmaking really has sucked the soul from long play sessions. You can feel the game working for you then against you every three matches or so. When I don’t play well I don’t feel like I earned it, and when I do play well I don’t feel like I earned it.
It’s crippling I’m basically a casual or lvl up from casual. I play about 1:30 to 2 hrs a night and without fail you can tell the next map is about to be hella sweaty. Just cld wanna bes sliding around every corner matching needs to go back to the old style. Everyone knows it’s changed why hide from it.
I honestly never knew if I was ever getting better at the game. I couldn’t see any stats improving because of the sbmm system. It didn’t take the joy out of cod, it took the joy out of gaming altogether for me. I have been having way more fun playing other titles instead.
Section of your video where you were discussing matchmaking really hit home for me. I always play solo and it is often a very drastic change in lobbies depending on how I'm doing. The more I do well for longer, I will inevitably get absolutely smashed by a tryhard lobby and it seems like one team will have dominant players and the other will literally be sacrificed. Thank you for addressing this issue
That’s how I felt playing with my 31yo brother and 61yo father. We’d have a blast for a couple games but then the lobbies would get to the point where my brother and father couldn’t have fun at all
@@chriscreaturo8809 I myself am an older gamer and I do play with my teenage sons sometimes, and while I can hang with them without much issue, I completely understand why most lobbies would be unbearable for more casual players as things got worse. Hopefully they figure out a way to address this at some point but I'm not going to hold my breath.
@@coltonconnor112 I know not everyone is very keen on Call of Duty mobile but there's a feature in their lobbies that at the end of the match, people in the lobby can choose to stay together if they're enjoying playing together. It's completely optional but it is a way for people to stay together who are having fun. This would be a great feature to implement into future AAA titles
Engagement-based matchmaking is leading to the death of this franchise, and the disbanding lobbies to the death of the community. We used to play with the same randos FOR HOURS. They'd make our friends list after we shared the primal experience of beating the trash-talkers from the last match in a nail-biting 74-75 TDM win. This was REAL community in gaming, and I miss it dearly.
For real man. I remember in mw we met the same 3 Scottish ppl over and over again, at first we trash talked each other but after the forth match we decided to play together for the next 4h. I still have them on my friends list
@@rockendude103 not an excuse, on next gen you pay 20$ more than the Ps4 and PC!!! Ray tracing was in the marketing and I PAYED for it, is unacceptable after 10 MONTHS is not fixed! And people say “just turn it off” I should just turn off Cold war.
@@fifteen8850 yea sure but its a 80$ game, that is the BIGGEST franchises in videogame HISTORY! I can’t accept that other gamers just pass it off like something not important, then why aren’t we playing at 480p? Oh yea because IS 2022 on PS5. Is not acceptable for ME graphics are important, that’s why 60% of the budget of AAA game is Graphics (Textures, lighting, shades, raytracing ect) I prefer gameplay to graphics don’t get me wrong, but flashing shit and 144p textures is not nice on a 800$ 4K tv, bought specially for next gen graphics.👍
The irony of the scorestreak system they implemented (and you can go back and find the pre-release game showcase) is they said specifically it was done this way to promote objective gameplay. And yet as Ace pointed out playing the objective was not rewarded via actual points earned. So something went wrong and they didn’t care about making any type of adjustments over this full year.
Imo they just need objectives to play more into weapon xp and camos. Until it’s more worth it to do objectives for weapon progression then it won’t improve imo. Aka make taking a dom flag 1000 weapon xp or something. Just more xp than if you ignored it and got kills instead. While also factoring how often you can do said objectives
In regards to SBMM, I find it funny how my K/D after reaching a certain point made me go from a 1.34 W/L to a 0.80. As a solo player there’s no way I can win a game by myself.
At the beggining i had a almost a 2 K/D, i stopped playing for a month because the game crashed so hard on my Ps4 that froze everithing and broke my Ps4 hd, but after fixing it, i started to play and never had a night of pure fun again, my k/d now is 1.1 or something, i mainly focus on Zombies for the camos
@@habijjj that's a really nice strategy 👌🏼 I don't do it all the time, but when i get pissed off with bullets flying through corners and bullets not connecting to my enemy's i do it too
I mean, as a solo player, your W/L is completely irrelevant as you have very minor influence on a game’s win in certain game modes. The only game modes it matters much at all is FFA game modes and as far as I’m aware, that can’t be filtered.
When players stayed in the lobby it was great. So many good experiences come from that. I remember people who normally don’t talk or are muted suddenly turning on their mic during game 2 if the team had chemistry. Ive even added people to my friends list after playing with them for longer online. You form more of a bond with your team and opponents. Each round gets better and better. Please bring back!
My list that i started working on months ago in anticipation for the video: -I don’t think shotguns should be secondaries without using overkill/lawbreaker -Combining assists and kills on the scoreboard was really annoying. It would pad out your ratio and make you think you did better than you actually did. -Hit detection/netcode/whatever felt off to me. I don’t know whether I’m bad at the game or if I need to switch to controller but I’ve lost so many gunfights I probably would’ve won. -Weapon balance, while not perfect 100% of the time, went out the window when i went back to play in season 5 and made the game extremely frustrating. -Perk greed was powerful enough that it made the other wildcards useless in almost all scenarios. A better way to structure the wildcards would be to make Lawbreaker only let you equip two primary weapons, and make Perk Greed only give you an additional perk in one slot. -The new scorestreak system is a huge step backwards and next to SBMM it was the aspect holding Cold War back from being an even better game. In most matches the higher streaks get spammed towards the end of the match since they take so long to get. From my experience it results in players earning most of their streaks towards the end of the match regardless of whether or not they did well. It also took away the significance of getting a buzzkill, because streaks don’t reset on death. -SBMM -I don’t like the idea of the flashlights/target designators being used for spotting enemies. It feels like a cop out for instances where you can’t see players due to the environment. -Combined Arms didn’t vibe with me. It felt like a discount Battlefield that’s there just for the sake of being there. I think they could’ve used that time and resources to make some more 6v6 content. -Some of the gunsmith options were just filler and served no purpose other than to be more things to increase the grind. This is an issue I had with Modern Warfare and it continued into Cold War’s gunsmith despite being more barebones. Some examples include the cavalry lancer barrels, the large number of optics, and the speed mags. -Throwback maps are nice but Cold War was way too reliant on them. It was nice to see Zoo and Drive-In make a return, though. All in all, I think it was a mid tier game. Not the worst COD, but not the best one either.
I think its fair to say these past 2-3 years of COD have been abysmal for traditional 6v6. What a terrible streak from MW2019 > Cold War > Vanguard. Worse than the jetpack era.
@@zombiemachinery4868 I loved MW19. The gunplay, graphics, engine etc felt really good. There were literally only 3 maps I liked though so.... Vanguard is just more MW19 but with assumedly better maps overall so I'm happy. The game I really want most though is the next modern warfare. I'm hoping all of the guns from warzone become playable in multiplayer as they have all the guns in engine ready, and due to the time place it won't feel out of place.
My favourite part of cold war was dying to nothing but the LC10 for 2 months straight. This game had the worst weapon variety since Bal-27 of duty: ASM1 Warfare
Sniper rifles and LMGs being broken as fuck for months was really terrible. Any higher MMR match you were running into stacks of players using only those weapons.
There really isn’t a bad gun in the game tho, if you want to use a tactical rifle you can, you just can’t use everything like it’s a smg, even when the LC10 was meta the AK74u Ak47 XM4 MP5 Stoner RPD LW3 Pellington and I’m probably missing some, we’re still good as fuck
I think a large part of this problem is when you aim in and out using a sniper/high zoom optic. All of the textures suddenly de-render and all the problems start. I've also found that my game slightly stutters when someone else in the lobby aims down sight with a sniper.
I think the streak system is a way to compensate for the sbmm and sweatiness of the game. It's so difficult to go on a 15 killstreak with sbmm being a thing. And when you earn that killer warmachine harp combo, you just know you gonna fuck shit up.
Not to mention the 150 health. Unless you're playing hardcore or using a killstreak, you're not getting anything above a triple kill unless SBMM throws you in a complete bot lobby.
@@dillonc7955 I fail to see how that makes even the slightest of sense. Sure, it's more difficult to get the multi-kill due to the fact that you need better aim to hit more shots, but it's still the exact same situation as it would be at 100 HP. Or are you implying that peeking 3 people or more who are looking at you at the same time would possibly allow you to get a triple kill or higher in 100 HP games? Obviously not. It's not a matter of HP, it's a situational one.
@@willtheprodigy3819 Because MW, despite its terrible gameplay, will be fondly remembered for its graphics and weapon detail thanks to its new engine. Even with all its annoying doors and obnoxious footsteps, MW19 was a massive step up in terms of gun detail- and some people apparently love the “realism” that Doorfare entails.
@@willtheprodigy3819 Honestly, MW has a better multiplayer experience even in terms of gameplay. Yes SBMM, Doors and op ghost still exists, but at least it felt like a new experience while cold war feels like a clone of BO4 imo
@@andreasflodkvist6702 his MW 2019 one was 45 mins? thats wild considering his vids are usually concise and under 10 mins, might have to go back and watch it
Going over negatives is usually longer than going over positives because you describe each negative. If it was a positive, you can say something like "I really enjoyed the weapon balance of this game and I feel like it had a good foundation." And be done. With with a negative, you describe it more. "The weapon balancing, although good for the most part, suffered greatly from a few weapons. From the 3 shot EM2 and 3 shot Full Auto Tec-9, to the Marshals killing potential up close, to-" and the list usually goes on.
Idk I kinda liked the streak system, it benefits the players who aren’t as good, but doesn’t really penalize you if you are going on a crazy streak (except for the cooldowns) like if you’re not an amazing player, you’re not going to get any of the high score streaks very easily
The streak in this cod is the worst part of the game for me along side sbmm and unbalanced gun. Like ace said when you get to a point where getting a single kill is worth 10x more the caping the b flag in domination it heavily discourages objective play and leads to people just going on streaks just to keep their streak multiplier alive
My single biggest complaint with the last couple of games has been the matchmaking. I used to play with a few friends of varying skill levels from pretty much beginner/casual to well above average...we used to play for hours at a time and have fun winning some and losing some. Now the less skilled players just get destroyed game after game(which doesn't happen when they don't play with the group).
The EOMM worked so well and im glad they introduced it, it got me engaged into so many other games i never would have played otherwise. Its been a blessing in disguise.
Having come back after three years, I’m actually enjoying it more than I did at launch, but my main gripe with this game is that it lacks personality. The PR and buildup really pushed it that it was set in the 1980’s, but I don’t really feel that it’s set then. Embrace more in the music or the sound effects etc. A good Call of Duty game but by no means perfect.
The long weapon levelling was the killer for me. I play warzone mostly, and Treyarch's decision to make people really grind for the attachments, combined with Raven's decision to kill MW gun movement (in comparison) and require high level.attachments from CW guns to compete meant I basically got kicked out of Warzone as well by the introduction of CW.
as someone who did dark aether in cw, it wasnt that bad compared to vanguard. I know this is 10 months late for your comment but leveling your weapon 72 levels+ is ridiculous compared to 50 something which mw was similar with
6:21 as soon as you get on a 30 gunstreak you´re always on top of the leaderboard because it´s capped at 30k :D so unless someone else on your team also gets a nuke your guaranteed to be on the top.
Well said xclusive, i hated matchmaking so much since i would always get put into games where half the people used the tec 9 and marshalls to compensate for their lack of skill, it was beyond annoying not being able to do anything half the time since i would just be killed so fast in a game where the ttk is SLOWER than other cods.
And therefore you’re also forced to use Tec-9 because everyone uses meta guns all the time. Cannot even play with my Milano despite it’s overpowered at long range for an SMG.
Lol I remember getting attacked in the Cold War subreddit last year when I said snipers were way too strong. Looks like I’m not the only one who thought that.
*I know right now it’s trendy to say ”Everything!” only to come back 3 years later to say ”It was a good game.” but i feel like the number one thing Cold War did wrong was the Scorestreak system.* *It just hit me the other day you can’t really call them Streaks becauce they don’t reset upon death.*
Well as someone who can get a lot of kills in game but not a lot of kill chains, I absolutely appreciated this system honestly. Even then I never got all my streaks, lol.
The animation quality in this game is a MASSIVE step back for not only COD, but FPS games in general. This game looks pretty good, but the animations alone is so trash!
Cold War was the only cod I quit within a month. Every other game I hit master prestige. That’s how bad Cold War was for me. I went back to destiny 2 and had such a better year foe gaming. Now w h vanguard, I love it so far. Feels like the pros of mw2 and mw2019 and sort of cod ww2(guns and aesthetics). Shg stepped up their game this year.
I had the most fun with CW during the beta. SBMM was a lot lower, I liked the sliding and movement system better, and nobody had broken weapons. My biggest issue is, in almost every map, it's nearly impossible to move and traverse the map without someone holding down a spot with a sniper, burst, or LMG with 2.5x magnification attachments. Like MW,most of the maps cater to the type of player that doesn't like to move. I still feel heavily punished for trying to actually push and get to the enemy. When I get into lobbies where I'm better, I find it's just easier to hold down a spot and wait for the enemy to come to me. Weapon balance is a huge problem in the game I feel. For some reason there are a lot of 1 shot weapons, and the only way to counter those is probably with a similar weapon. Every game I play there's at least one or two people with dual-wield marshals. With how most of the original maps in the game are, with lots of places to hide or 3-lane corridor maps, pushing them without similar weapons isn't feasible. Explosives don't work since flak jacket is too strong. So, with my experience, I've deemed this game unplayable and I don't really care to spend much more time on it. I don't think Vanguard will meet my expectations given how Cod has been the last 3 years.
this game was so great compared to mw mechanically, really hope they don't give up on the arcadey gameplay instead of pushing the campfest with low ttks we got in mw2019
100%. I think due to the circumstances around Covid that people would've been understanding that the game was delayed and more support given to MW2019. I know MW has its fair share of haters but at the end of the day the result of rushing CW out the door was that BlOps fans got a sub par product and now have to wait for several more years before they get another go at it.
@@fifteen8850 There was clearly a Season 7 planned in the event that CW truly couldn’t make it, and maybe more. Think about it: 3 guns, 2 maps, 2 operators, and several bundles, which is the usual amount of seasonal content, plus much more leaked half-finished content from the files that could have filled another 2 seasons. Since CW ended up releasing, the finished stuff was dripfed out and the half-finished stuff was mostly cut.
I think the "streaks " were done that way because of how strong SBMM is. Snipers are annoying as always. But you are correct, its easy to snipe . To be fair, Treyarch was handed a game started by Sledgehammer, and had very little time on top of a pandemic to deal with. Just saying.
The fact that they created a COD game that triumphs Ghosts, AW, and WWII, under these conditions. Shows how good of a development team they actually are
I'm honestly surprised you mentioned snipers but not the dual-wield Marshal shotgun which literally ruined the multiplayer experience for many players. In each lobby I got into, at least half the people were rocking dual wield Marshals and running into your face and onetap you like nothing. I guess you didn't play the latest seasons much.
@@brizzle711 and how does that make it ok? It's present on a big chunk of lifecycle of the game. The video indicates the negative aspects of the title which the shotguns are. If you don't agree with me, get over it ;)
@@Unlovelywriter never said it was ok. I think your complaint is stupid, that’s it. It’s ok for sniping to one tap you with no flinch after you put about 10 rounds into them but getting close with shotguns is a bad thing? Shotguns are supposed to do that. Counter the Marshalls with the akimbo magnums.
Same as Modern Warfare. Constantly changed stats so casual players could never jump on with a familiar feeling gun. Combined with SBMM and connections with far away servers, the game was literally a gamble based win rather than a skill based win. Ultimately, trash.
The worst part of this is if your internet access is limited (e.g. using mobile internet and therefore having NAT type 3 / strict NAT type) makes it even harder to find matches which are somewhat decent…still better than BO3 where u couldn’t find any lobby with such NAT type though)
I genuinely think that people unjustly hate this game. Like more than half of the complaints in this video were carried over from modern warfare and are also going to be carried over to vanguard. This game had solid maps, really great new game modes, and (until the last two seasons) great weapon balance for a call of duty game. The zombies was more fun than ever, and it probably had the best campaign in my opinion in quite a while. The only real complaint you could give this game that is unique to Cold War is that sniping is way too easy, even to this day, and then they also added way too many easy to use 1 shot kill weapons. The matchmaking has been like this for a few years and it’ll continue to be like this in call of duty. So I dunno… I don’t know how people can say modern warfare was good and then say this game is garbage when frankly this game had a lot more good going for it…
Here’s what horrible about cold bore: Marshals No skill meta weapons Terrible sbmm Terrible mechanics Slow paced Horrible 3 lanes maps where everyone is pretty much in every lane Terrible score streaks and shouldn’t reward loser who camp for it, for example. The higher your streak the more score you get but most people do is camp head glitch, don’t play objectives, use lmg, in the pay score streaks required rushing like bo2 bo3 bo4 with the hardline less score not bad No good original maps other than season 2,3, 4, 5 launch maps terrible Aim assist is broken Nerf real time Not a lot of weapons No skill is involved just meta weapons
Meta weapons, what are you talking about? Everyone lobby I played with had such great weapon variety. I saw so many guns in the 2 months I played, the 74u, the LC10, the LC10, the LC10, a couple people were using the LC10, I saw one guy using an LC10 once, some Snipers, every once in a while you saw an LC10, Stoner pre nerf, and last but not least a handful of LC10s Weapon meta in this game didn't exist, every gun was viable! Seriously tho I quit right before they dropped the Tec-9 and Em2, I'm guessing they just took over and it was Tec-9/EM2/Sniper every game
@@InnerAwes0me but that’s the things, it’s literally lmg am74u and tec 9, I never saw anyone running the Milano, the bull frog, or even the assault rifles like the qbz
@@chucknorris6640 ace's SBMM tests on CW showed that the teambalancer was affected. It often makes the entire opposite team higher skilled, so it's not just 2 or 3 people stomping you into the ground, it's the entire opposite team. That's easly the biggest problem I had with CW
Of course you’re going to have idiots saying, “What SBMM? I never had any issues with SBMM and I hold a 3.00 k/d every match, Just Git Gud!” Even Scump himself had the hardest time holding a 2.00 k/d
I think the reason they scrapped the scorestreak system for this system is because of Treyarch seemingly unending proclivity to giving noobs free killstreaks. They made specialists a thing so noobs can get free killstreaks that they don't have to earn them. When people complained too much, they removed them but just made the specialist weapons "killstreaks" that are super easy to earn. Even noobs can earn a decent killstreak by just playing a game of hardpoint.
The biggest problem I had with the Scorestreak system is that it put backfilled players at a huge disadvantage, since you start from zero regardless (which is weird because even Field Upgrades gain some free charge based on the current duration of the match). If I join a match in progress, everyone else pretty much has a head start on their streaks. At least in previous games I could possibly kill a streaking player to reset their streak. Now I get bodied by someone's VTOL when I could have reached my Air Patrol if I was in the match from the start. Another problem with Cold War for me was strafe aiming being heavily nerfed after previous games. I could not use an AR without Stock 5 or 6 and even that didn't feel like enough at times. I know the Cartel gameplay at the start had some graphical bugs but the sky turning darker actually looked quite cool
I agree with your points and would like to add - Hitreg on m&k - Aim assist was completely fucked, always on the extremes, too strong or non-existent (I've never played on a controller before cw and I still managed to get nukes) - Bullet velocity too slow
Going up against a bunch of snipers in Search and Destroy in this game is the most annoying shit in the world. You literally can't peek or challenge any lanes and if you try to rush or flank, they just pull out the broken ass Marshalls and blow you away in one hit. So frustrating
The new streak system really killed CW for me. I like to run to run low to mid-tier streaks like UAV's and cruise missiles as I can easily and reliable keep a constant UAV and call in cruise missiles. But I CW I can't not because I am playing bad but because the game doesn't let me. And it's extremely frustrating when you are in a close match at the end, but then the enemies call in a gunship and practically guarantee them winning and it's out of your control because you can't shut down their streak.
Unfortunately, players have been given the feeling for several years that quickscoping is easy because of this type of decision, and it has become MUCH easier than a few years ago. This is the clear example... Beyond that, Vanguard is not far behind with that, there are some rifles that the only way they do NOT kill with a single shot is hitting the forearms or from the knees down. Where is the precision in that? I always used snipers and played using quickscop but to be honest the newer the games the easier it is to do it. Today, you don't have to aim, you just have to shoot where the enemy is and that's it, you have a oneshot kill.
I always knew there was a reason i could have 4 straight matches with no connection issues and then my 5th match would be lagging, high latency and ping. They throw you in lobbies for sbmm with no regards to your local connection
Before the video: SBMM still undisputed king, SBMM overruling ping, lack of content - weapons, lack of content - maps, lack of content - unique 6v6 releases post-launch, killstreak system horrendous - participation trophy, irrelevant objective play; air patrol as a streak literally ice pick 2.0. I know for a fact that there has to be more, but that's what I can think of instantly. After the video & stuff you had that I didn't/forgot: - busted sniping @ beta/launch - indeed, was a problem early on. - lack of unique weapons - don't think it was that big of a problem. - levelling weapons - agreed. - disbanding lobbies - forgot about this, but I'd say it goes under SBMM. - graphics/performance - forgot about this, Blame Truth talked about the game being 40 FPS on last gen. so bad.
As for the lack of unique weapons I don’t think it’s just the weapons, it’s probably the attachments as well. Most of them are just copy and paste across nearly all the guns so the only thing that really separated weapons was their stats.
nah the weapons were an issue. all the assault rifles n smgs felt really generic and the only real unique feeling gun was the m60. In mw, we had different attachments, ammo conversions and things like the hyper burst on the an94 or the chainsaw stock on the finn so every gun really did feel different
Disbanding lobbies is not directly due to SBMM but also possible , because Advanced Warfare is known to the first CoD which had aggressive SBMM but each lobby remained after a match without having to look for a new one. But you’re also right because EBMM(EOMM) wouldn’t work. It’s a mixed bag between SBMM and EBMM where it generally puts you into higher skilled lobbies but also into “dum-dum level lobbies” if you decide to drop your KD quite badly for a few rounds. That’s why it’s possible to play against handicapped people when exploiting that system (reverse boosting)
The thing that killed MW2019 and Cold War is simple: SBMM. Played for about 2ish months with friends. Friends stopped playing because we would get into lobbies with super sweats and most of my friends were casuals. Most of them dropped out after MW2019 and the others dropped shortly after Cold War came out. I still play some causal BR Solos from time to time but the game is dead to me for the most part. And I probably won't be picking the new one up either this time.
I'm not sure what Activision is thinking. As a business are you not losing potential revenue from skins if all your SBMM system is doing is pushing people away from playing? Again this is a Activision thing not a developer thing but they should pushing for a change. I'm all for SBMM but there needs to be more skill brackets. Atm it feels like there is noob lobbies or sweat lobbies. There's nothing for casual players who are the vast majority.
@@MR_K-RO I dont think it is pushing *most* players from the game. I think it's pushing *you* from the game, as well as people like you, which may be a problem. Players who are better than noobs but worse than sweats are not gonna have a good time. At the same time if you want to be better than sweats then it never ends.
@@MiketheNerdRanger How do you work that out when I still play multiple times a week and is sat watching a RUclips video on COD? Go and think for two seconds before throwing your sh*t about 🙄 One look on Reddit, people Playing in the regiments and friends lists shows how many have gave up on the game over the year and half but please continue to tell people how wrong they are.
The issue with league placement was addressed a week or two after it came out. It was a glitch where it flipped the placements. If you did well it placed you closer to the bottom but if you did bad it placed you closer to the top.
Cold war feels bland. Like the game is mostly solid, but it doesn't have that "spice". Call it sbmm, the reused maps, idk. But that's my biggest problem
Same problem for me. It just seemed soulless and bland, with that lack of spice you mention punctuated by tedious and annoying stuff like SBMM, optimisation (can happily run every other shooter at 120fps on highest settings except CW), one shot kill rendering slow TTK weapons pointless, dumb Treyarch skins for kids, crap guns, endless grind, and just a deep lack of anything satisfying. Only good bit was Zombies, which was good enough to justify the buy, but only just.
As a solo and zombies player, the matchmaking kept me from MP, and if I do play MP it's faceoff or nuketown. I'm by no means good but after having one of my few moments of not doing terrible, I'm immediately tossed into a sweaty spawn camping lobby. In terms of zombies, outbreak and onslaught were sorely needed to pad out the content this year, while I'm glad 3ARC is continuing zombies in vanguard, I would have like to see more round based maps or some remakes (Call of The Dead, Tranzit, Die Rise, etc.) but I have had more fun in this year's zombie than I ever have before. As for my biggest gripe, it's definitely the gunsmith, near the end they tried but most guns operate with the same build and have little to no character, it's why I loved the addition of the .410 it feels like a bad ass cowboy gun and it's satisfying getting those kills at ranges no one is expecting it, same for the tech 9, it's like a handy little carbine. Honestly if cold war had a gunsmith similar to MW I would say it trumps MW ultimately it's about on par with it.
My biggest problem, Not only did they launch with very little maps but since they added Nuketown it has its own playlist and all the sweatiest tryhards running 2 snipers and all the cheats. So the game has only one map and full of cheaters.
The Fact that most of the issues people faced in BOCW are Literally there because ATVI (or the Director of CoD or something) wanted those to be their is just so Frustrating.
At every update I was left with the thought "wow, these devs really have never played this game". Didn't look nearly as good as MW yet ran at a much lower frame rate with hitching and stuttering. SBMM made it so I couldn't mindlessly play the game after work. Every game felt like I was playing competitive. I kept wanting to love the game but then the constant bugs and lobby issues and crashing and performance issues on top of me never really enjoying anything made this game one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a call of duty. Every season I would come back. And every season I would stop playing sooner. Truly a shame because the mechanics were really solid.
I have to strongly agree with you on spreading themselves thin across all these modes. I really wish the would put their resources into fewer modes for hopefully better experiences. You log on the the main menu and while some are 24/7 Playlist there is like 20 tabs of different modes. Imo thats just too much cause i feel like most are going to the classic modes
The score streak system meant that every single game I'd get a harp or VTOL and nobody could really stop me from doing this. However the game would balance this out by giving me 0.5 kd players so that even in games I'd get 50-60 elims (tdm) I'd lose at a surprising rate. It made doing well actively not fun.
the worst thing about cw is that they brought back specialist weapons as scorestreaks and because scorestreaks are quicker to rack up it has the same overwatch abilities spam feeling as bo4.
The fact that all they added was ARs, SMGs and melee weapons and pretty much ignored other weapon classes such as lmgs, tac rifles, made the game pretty bland
Everyone forgets this game was supposed to come out this year. That being said I think the game got much better throughout the year. At first I wasn’t a fan & now I like it.
I agree that most people sleep on the fact that it should have been delayed but the problem is that cus it’s a cod game it will never be delayed. The consumers wants a good product and while the game wasn’t a bad product they released a game that was not complete because they knew they would get sales. So they sorta cared more about money and not a full game
I wish they did an overhaul like they did with WW2 and made these 3 changes; take out the perk greed wildcard, revert the score streak system back to how it’s supposed to be, and add back in normal weapon flinch
Lots of good points, Ace. Plenty more in the comments below. To avoid repetition, these are some of my gripes I haven't seen mentioned yet: + Being unable to cycle up and down through menus on the d-pad + No clear all green icons button + No way of filtering calling cards and emblems + Smoke grenade visibility inconsistencies and spam + Poorly designed camo challenges that impact gameplay negatively + Wildcard balancing
Modern warfare 3 had the best kill streak system by far in my opinion. If I’m getting shit on, I could put on support and still contribute to the team. If I’m playing well, I could put on assault and get the better streaks. I was never big on the specialist streaks but I know that was popular with some people too. There was something for everyone.
i would still rather play cold war than mw2019 and vanguard any day of the week. Cold war is gonna be the best cod until treyarch releases their new cod
The score streak system worked fine tbh in my opinion. You still relatively had to be doing well to earn a chopper gunner 8,000 score. Not every player would get 8k score in a game
My biggest issue with this game was the air patrol streak. That streak was so ridiculously stupid, I would go nuts and get the highest streak available, call it in, just to immediately have it destroyed because someone who’s 10-25 was sitting on an air patrol
Couldn’t agree more with both videos. I would say my personal biggest issue was the just the lack of character this game had. It just felt so dull and uninspired. SBMM is annoying especially since I really only play solo these days, but I have more than my good share of pubstomp games. I think overall the foundation was good and I think it’s way more fun that MW, but it just felt like it was missing something, like you mentioned.
I alway play solo and the disbanding lobbies really ruined the game for me. I didn’t play Modern Warfare so this was my first experience with this. I’ve decided to be done with CoD. I will continue to follow this channel and hope this changes one day.
Things I hated are actually many of your points in the video: - SBMM - Lobby disbanding - SBMM - Slow weapon leveling - SBMM - Score streak system - SBMM - For me as completionist - bugged challenges (e. g. I have dark matter but it doesn't give me the calling card for certain weapons) - SBMM - Stim shot is a must use. The other tacticals are nowhere usable as stim shot - SBMM - It's taking too long to find matches even though it is populated and I live in central Europe. - SBMM - Air Patrol & - SBMM Fuck you SBMM you ruined Call of Duty and btw I don't blame anyone who reverse boosts.
It's always nice to see other people who see Stim shot as too much of a crutch now. The completionist thing also resonates with me, I lost all urges to 100% this game as soon as I realized how little fun I was having shortly after launch (outside of zombies) but the bugged challenges I had to deal with over there too was just pathetic. There was a challenge for getting kills with sentry guns and other "trap" weapons in zombies that wasn't patched for literal MONTHS after launch.
It blows my mind that every single year, there are tons of complaints in the beta that the developers refuse to address for months on end after launch. This happens year after year. And it's even worse with how, for example, MW2019 and Cold War's DLC weapons are nearly always broken overpowered for months until they can sell enough bundles to nerf them. It's horrendous and anti-consumer, and it's maybe the main reason next to SBMM why I'm done with buying these games until they're addressed.
Let's be honest here...Beta's are more for marketing and for getting the word out that the game is coming soon. The development teams probably already have their next 3 months planned out for them and aren't able to deviate from that because of the hard street date that was given to them.
@@ericstahl6309 You couldn't be more right. A good example of the opposite is when Condrey got dropped off designing COD WWII, and as soon as they got the new guy in he fixed almost all the issues and made it a really damn decent game. It's obvious that if they wanted to, they could go day-by-day and fix things that need fixing, balance things that need balancing, and listen to the damn community for once. But I think you hit it right on the dot, they plan their development in advance and only do what they planned unless it's entirely gamebreaking. And then they still take their time.
So long as EOMM exists in COD, the multiplayer will never be enjoyable for me ever again, especially as a solo player. I'm only buying for the campaign and zombies at this point, and it's a good thing the campaign for Vanguard looks incredible. I'm not as hyped for zombies as I was pre-reveal though, but maybe it will be better than I expect it to be. We'll see I guess.
When you were talking about not being matched up with the same people in lobbies back to back. When ever I would play with my friends, we played a lot of VIP. we always got lobbies with the same four clans every night. It got real competitive and a lot of fun. It was actually pretty rare if we didn’t see someone we hadn’t played before.
I dont know, dude, but with all due respect, the score streak complaint sounds like such an old man traditionalist thing to me. Apologies if it sounds facetious but I can't help it. Considering that I can *almost never* get streaks in this game *even though* they don't reset, I question why people want them to be arbitrarily more difficult to do. It being "CoD magic" is, in my opinion, not a good reason at all for it to be switched back. But maybe that's just me, goes to show how much better a player you are than me.
What? Are you hunting the three biggest streaks lol it’s takes like 5 kills to get a uav like 12 total kills is a napalm lol you don’t even need a pulse to do this lol
@@kylegardiner2919 @Kyle Gardiner no. Spy Plane, Napalm Strike, Cruise Missile. Sometimes Hand Cannon, Cruise Missile, Strafe Run. Those are on the low(ish) end. Remember, you only get 50 score for any enemy you kill before getting 10 straight kills, after which it multiplies. But if you die, it gets reset to 50. I *hardly EVER* get even close to 10 kills in a row, so the whole game, even if I get over 30 kills in total, I only ever get one of those streaks. I could get a spy plane, sure, but once in the whole game *maybe.* I've only ever gotten all 3 streaks like 4 times in the whole year. So I personally can't resonate with Ace's opinion on the score streak system and would even go as far as to say there's no way in hell I want the old system back. I do agree that it doesn't encourage objective play as much as we thought it would, though.
The killstreak/scorestreak is so true for me. I love playing Cold War, but one thing that brings me back to old games at times is those huge streaks. It feels so good to get that one last kill you need to call in dogs, or a chopper gunner or whatever. It always feels like "YES, I GOT A CHOPPER GUNNER!!!". Also the heartbreak from dying one off makes you want it even more
Playing with my 7 year old, SBMM / or the engagement optimized matchmaking, this was especially brutal. I would wreck lobbies where he struggled, and then we'd get flung into a high skill lobby and both get stomped. Terrible experience.
Simple solution. Don’t play a game about killing people with a 7 year old. The fact it’s an 18/Mature rated game doesn’t just relate to content, it also correlates to difficulty.
The graphics settings are making me sick watching the match on cartel, the constant dark and light changes, the pop in, ugh it's giving me a headache. I know you're on the PS4 version of the game, but I can't tell if that's the game or just editing or something? But it's rough
I think a large part of this problem is when you aim in and out using a sniper/high zoom optic. All of the textures suddenly de-render and all the problems start. I've also found that my game slightly stutters when someone else in the lobby aims down sight with a sniper. This happens to me on both Xbox One S and Xbox Series X.
I agree with you about the score streaks. I find myself just running and gunning with no care if I die. That type of play style has crept into the way I play warzone where I get impatient and just run around like a headless chicken
Gave up on this game around Jan. I can see looking at it today that there is much more content, things to do and variety but it just fell flat for me. SBMM ruining partying up with my causal mates and the lack of maps early made it a chore to play. But the No.1 biggest issue and disappointment was easily the score streak system. Everything about it is just stupid and i hope it is never implemented in another game. Nothing more cheesy than getting killed by a Chopper or a Harp that the other player was gifted. Even when you get handed your streaks, the kills you get only replace the cheap deaths you gave away to the opponents streaks. Effectively, you just even each other out leaving a pointless feeling at the end of a match. Another major gripe was the obvious camo and weapon level progression bugs still present in the game in Jan. The devs couldn't even be bothered fixing bugs for players going for diamond but they were more than happy to add new bundles every week. Left a sour taste after you have purchased something and it doesn't even work months into its life cycle. Treyarch's last two games have been poor imo and they were my fav devs :(
What annoyed me most: there is a lot of cosmetics on the maps. Stuff you should be able do jump on / behind and use to finesse people but there is an invisible wall.
8:30 i have to say that I disagree with your point on quick scoping being way too easy bc of no flinch. The average TTK is still faster than the ADS speed of all snipers. Hard scoping an angle, on the other hand, was not balanced and that's where flinch was really needed in my opinion.
Damn u got it exactly right if someone isn’t missing the sniper isn’t going to win the gun fight with or without flinch, and if they seen you first before you were aware of them then the sniper should win the gun fight because they seen u first and hit their shot while u were caught out of position, plus the small 1 hit areas on the snipers that are the fastest to ADS as well. And exactly as u said the only thing no flinch benefited with the slow ADS speed was hard scoping.
@@crazywolf917 the problem is nobody likes to be killed by one shot weapons. Shotguns, crossbow, melee, or snipers. So they could be broken or trash but they would still say they’re OP.
i think one of the main reasons for the huge split between the mw and cw sides of the community is the split that was already there between the search/one life players and respawn players. mw's respawn experience was awful, but it feels like it was tailor made for search and destroy, which appeals to me because that's what ive always enjoyed the most. it feels like its the opposite for cold war, the maps and mechanics feel sluggish and uninteresting in search, but in respawn it flows well and is actually pretty fun even though its not really my thing. i think this is why a lot of the you tubers we saw blow up from mw snd stuck with mw, but many traditional cod you tubers moved on to cold war (or played war zone but that's an outlier). great video ace!
in my opinion cold war was a decent cod but it got plague by the short develeping time. And covid didn't help with it. Also the sbmm pushed me kind of away from multiplayer and more towordas the zombie side where i have way more time played then in mp
That double xp token point hit me harder than I expected. I was like "omg YEES" last time I couldn't find a match during my token. There's something very tilting about a clock just ticking away
There is the social bond lost with disbanding lobbies but honestly the worst loss for me with disbanding lobbies is being able to stay in lobbies with a decent connection for long periods of time.
It is important to mention that this game was pushed out a year before it was ‘scheduled’ in their 3 year dev cycle because Sledgehammer couldn’t get Vanguard done by 2020. I honestly think that is the main reason for some of the more obvious issues, like lack of content at launch and the number of remake maps.
This is my honest negatives list: 1) Lack of tactical sprint 2) Lack of content at launch 3) Score-streak system 4) Lazy gunsmith 5) poor sound design 6) very strict sbmm
i agree with all except the scorestreak system yeah it needs to rework to make and reduce the amount of cost of the rewards but i like the fact that it doesn’t reset upon death
this may be the CoD that may single-handedly destroy the zombie community that started with WaW for the sake of Warzone. They completely half assed the king standing game mode and now look to half ass it for WWII just because they have nothing else to offer
SBMM. Its implementation in this game killed the franchise for me. Its the reason I won't be buying Vanguard even though the rest of the game looks great. Really sad to see
It's my reason as well buddy. No matter how good that game may be in terms of streaks, graphics and/or gameplay, I won't buy it cause of the fuckin SBMM
SBMM in this game turned me into a zombies player. 11 days played compared to the 3 days I have on multiplayer. You'll have up to a couple good matches, then the game will constantly punish you with lobbies of people competiting in nonexistent tournaments.
@@dillonc7955 That's absolute facts. I spent so much time levelling up guns in zombies because they weren't competitive enough to play with in multiplayer at first. So I would just grind them up in zombies only to play two games of multiplayer and get over it
I hated this game. I put about 10 hours into it the first few months it was out and had no desire to ever play it again. Skill based matchmaking has really ruined the fun factor cod used to have. Playing it feels like work. It doesn't feel like a fun or rewarding experience at all anymore.
It is amazing how terrible this game looks. If even content creators are getting the muddy textures and pop-in/out nonsense, you know it’s a problem. I always thought it was just me.
I think a large part of this problem is when you aim in and out using a sniper/high zoom optic. All of the textures suddenly de-render and all the problems start. I've also found that my game slightly stutters when someone else in the lobby aims down sight with a sniper.
Yeah agreed. It’s visually dreadful and for a game released in 2020 looks about 5 years older than that. MW19 was 10x better visually on a much better level
COD should remove simple plain kill scores and only reward kills that were for the objectives and objectives themselves. Basically a spawn trap kill in DOM would earn you no scores, no xp, doesn’t count toward your streak. There, we just saved PTFO and removed spawn trap.
It really makes me sad to say, but this is the truth, I thought cw would be my favourite game, and in the beta, it was, I didn't like the scorestreak system but that was it, however I just lost passion for the game very quickly, I play on m&k and thanks to this and the possibly the region where I live, my lobbies were flooded with snipers m16s augs ksps, and I just couldn't compete not using these, the players on top of the leaderboards were always the players who only used these, and this made me not want to play even when they eventually nerfed them (although the ksp is still busted, I can't find lobbies where half the players aren't using that piece of hell). It pains me to say but there non-full auto weapon balance made me and my friends spend about 10x the time in zombies whereas before we just tried it out, but we spent max 1-2 hours in zombies each game and 8-12 days in mp.
As someone who mostly snipes in cod I would have to politely disagree (9:15) what killed this game for sniping is the terrible ads speed, the slow sprint to fire, smallest one shot hit-boxes and movement. I don’t know one person who wouldn’t trade flinch for bo4 sniping speed and damage, that would be a incredible buff 😂
Honestly it's because they are so awful to use because of those and because snipers cycle rounds so slow meaning follow up shots were nigh impossible if you missed. All of those factors made the DM ultra grind terrible it's really why I myself will only have 3 snipers with DM ultra yet because they are usable in zombies I will have 4 soon. By far though the worst offender of these is the ZRG even hard scoping it's relatively unusable. Honestly with the Vanguard beta I had fun with the snipers and could run around and quick scope which hopefully it remains that way in the full game but I don't want to touch a sniper ever again in Cold War multiplayer because of how bad they were.
@@bobjones-ub2fr the only one I think is remotely usable is the Swiss and that's really why people see it all the time. Everything else is for the most part unusable. Especially since the Swiss has the fastest ADS in class and the fastest rechamber.
when you mentioned obj play in terms of score i felt that. in games like MW3 and MW19 id hop on the obj no prob bcos i knew im either getting a bump on my specialist bonus or getting good score. in CW i could careless to cap a flag I’ll just defend with my life
@Tombra well that's your opinion. But I agree with you in terms of BF2042. Looking forward to both that and Halo Infinite more than Vanguard. But I'm still hopeful for Vanguard.
0:00 gotta love that play doh models and texture glitches, they even did a special event where you join a match and there's an eclipse sometimes, nice attention to detail, also, i love when you get a transition between rounds in snd and you can't get off or access the in game create a class, noice
Right, I can’t help but feel like the game put me in easy matches or in super difficult ones. It was game breaking for me personally
I honestly never knew if I was ever getting better at the game. I couldn’t see any stats improving because of the sbmm system. It didn’t take the joy out of cod, it took the joy out of gaming altogether for me. I have been having way more fun playing other titles instead.
@@kylegardiner2919 I play cdl playlist regularly and can confirm that I face sweatier people in pubs than cdl
Fr!
We’d have a blast for a couple games but then the lobbies would get to the point where my brother and father couldn’t have fun at all
This is exactly why I never got into this cod. I used to be able to play for hours and enjoy every minute. I can't make it past 1 hour with cold War .
Same here. Im a solo player and the rollercoaster is real. I can literally predict how my next game will be after 3 matches
So true new matching is horrible. Horrible killing any sense of competition without having to sweat my bag off in a league play match.
For real man. I remember in mw we met the same 3 Scottish ppl over and over again, at first we trash talked each other but after the forth match we decided to play together for the next 4h. I still have them on my friends list

They needed to have the score multiplier from being on a streak also apply to objective score as well.
When hit detection is as bad as cold war, the only way to implement killstreaks was to ignore deaths.🤣
@@reg1990 i was annoyed how 3x weapon streak was the same as 3 individual kills. At least for weapon xp
How is that irony?
In regards to SBMM, I find it funny how my K/D after reaching a certain point made me go from a 1.34 W/L to a 0.80. As a solo player there’s no way I can win a game by myself.
Yea same, playing solo is just unfair and NOT FUN
At least in old cods, there was a playlist for solos
At the beggining i had a almost a 2 K/D, i stopped playing for a month because the game crashed so hard on my Ps4 that froze everithing and broke my Ps4 hd, but after fixing it, i started to play and never had a night of pure fun again, my k/d now is 1.1 or something, i mainly focus on Zombies for the camos
I gotta disagree I have an actual positive W/L and K/D and that's with me leaving bullshit lobbies early and taking the L.
@@habijjj that's a really nice strategy 👌🏼
I don't do it all the time, but when i get pissed off with bullets flying through corners and bullets not connecting to my enemy's i do it too
I mean, as a solo player, your W/L is completely irrelevant as you have very minor influence on a game’s win in certain game modes.
My list that i started working on months ago in anticipation for the video:
-I don’t think shotguns should be secondaries without using overkill/lawbreaker
-Combining assists and kills on the scoreboard was really annoying.
-SBMM
-I don’t like the idea of the flashlights/target designators being used for spotting enemies.
Putting my bias aside, this game isn’t necessarily bad, just nothing special and not interesting.
Other than combined arms I agree but combined arms was my favourite I think part of it was few games and Mamia being one of the maps
Yea I seriously hate the fake k/d you get in game, where assists also count. But they did this to cater to the noobs and not make them cry.
Titan infinite warfare: *allow me to introduce myself*
There really isn’t a bad gun in the game tho, if you want to use a tactical rifle you can, you just can’t use everything like it’s a smg, even when the LC10 was meta the AK74u Ak47 XM4 MP5 Stoner RPD LW3 Pellington and I’m probably missing some, we’re still good as fuck
Am I tripping or during his 1st match on cartel the map and especially the sky was bugging out?
Cartel is bugged af on PC
Same man. I noticed that too
all the textures arn't loaded if you look

I think a large part of this problem is when you aim in and out using a sniper/high zoom optic. All of the textures suddenly de-render and all the problems start. I've also found that my game slightly stutters when someone else in the lobby aims down sight with a sniper.
I think the streak system is a way to compensate for the sbmm and sweatiness of the game. It's so difficult to go on a 15 killstreak with sbmm being a thing. And when you earn that killer warmachine harp combo, you just know you gonna fuck shit up.
Yeah they totally knew what they were doing
It doesn't feel rewarding getting streaks in this game
Not to mention the 150 health. Unless you're playing hardcore or using a killstreak, you're not getting anything above a triple kill unless SBMM throws you in a complete bot lobby.
In my opinion is extremely easy to get at least an 11 kill streaks
@@hugoruda9049 yeah unless you're on a 25 ks going for a nuke, it's not rewarding.
@@dillonc7955 I fail to see how that makes even the slightest of sense. Or are you implying that peeking 3 people or more who are looking at you at the same time would possibly allow you to get a triple kill or higher in 100 HP games? Obviously not.
@@xBezerkerrr Yeah, he has a ton to talk about in his MW video lol.
10:07 - 12:53 honestly you could just copy and paste this part for the mw2 video later this year
Idk I kinda liked the streak system, it benefits the players who aren’t as good, but doesn’t really penalize you if you are going on a crazy streak (except for the cooldowns) like if you’re not an amazing player, you’re not going to get any of the high score streaks very easily
Id love a devs under the table honesty when asked whether or not the new streak system was a good idea to implement
They’d probably answer that it was the only way for anyone to get streaks with the awful EOMM that was getting its strength increased for CW
Wow, i admire your attitude, you must be the most positive optimist i´ve ever heard of! 😅👍
2 year old comment, I know, -But I respect your opinion. I just wish connection took priority over matching you with similarly skilled players.
*I know right now it’s trendy to say ”Everything!” only to come back 3 years later to say ”It was a good game.” but i feel like the number one thing Cold War did wrong was the Scorestreak system.*
*It just hit me the other day you can’t really call them Streaks becauce they don’t reset upon death.*
Well it’s honestly the score you get while chaining kills that reset
Well as someone who can get a lot of kills in game but not a lot of kill chains, I absolutely appreciated this system honestly. Even then I never got all my streaks, lol.
I dont know, entire game just feels cheap, the graphics, sounds, animations, gameplay, ragdoll, menu, fonts, UI, definetly not a 60 dollar title
Yea especially when u take into account that mw came out a year before
As the sky is constantly changing color in this video… really can’t argue with that
$70 for current gen
The animation quality in this game is a MASSIVE step back for not only COD, but FPS games in general. This game looks pretty good, but the animations alone is so trash!
Animations and sound were terrible compared to MW2019. Just laughably bad in comparison.
the engine behind cold war is the same quality of free to play fps games on steam lmao
Nah there are def worse out there
Nah not really. Compare it to games other than MW2019, and it's literally fine. Some of the animationd feel robotic but that's it
Cold War was the only cod I quit within a month.
Ace, Do you think that the shortcomings of this game can be attributed to a short dev cycle since they had to pick up the slack for SHG?
Most of them, yes I do.
@@22spirals Truth be told, I asked the question a minute before Ace spoke on it. I jumped the gun a bit.
@@mrcraggle idk if mw would’ve been supported all the way for another year tbh. It seems like they plan all of this before the game launches

@@lm_slayer1 yeah and but in ww2 you stay in the same lobby after each round and the sbmm is less strict plus there's more to do in ww2

Sniping as been a part of CW since launch. Marshall’s was released this past season. Get over it.
SBMM wasn't strong in this game.
The worst part of this is if your internet access is limited (e.g. using mobile internet and therefore having NAT type 3 / strict NAT type) makes it even harder to find matches which are somewhat decent…still better than BO3 where u couldn’t find any lobby with such NAT type though)
@@smasherjt Im sorry what. As someone who enjoys the game, that is blatantly false lmao, the SBMM in this game is fkin cracked
@@lm_slayer1 my 2.37 kd says otherwise
Just the gameplay of the first map says enough about this game lol
So I dunno… I don’t know how people can say modern warfare was good and then say this game is garbage when frankly this game had a lot more good going for it…
Here’s what horrible about cold bore:
Marshals
No skill meta weapons
Terrible sbmm
Terrible mechanics
Slow paced
Horrible 3 lanes maps where everyone is pretty much in every lane
Terrible score streaks and shouldn’t reward loser who camp for it, for example. The higher your streak the more score you get but most people do is camp head glitch, don’t play objectives, use lmg, in the pay score streaks required rushing like bo2 bo3 bo4 with the hardline less score not bad
No good original maps other than season 2,3, 4, 5 launch maps terrible
Aim assist is broken
Nerf real time
Not a lot of weapons
No skill is involved just meta weapons
Meta weapons, what are you talking about? Everyone lobby I played with had such great weapon variety. I saw so many guns in the 2 months I played, the 74u, the LC10, the LC10, the LC10, a couple people were using the LC10, I saw one guy using an LC10 once, some Snipers, every once in a while you saw an LC10, Stoner pre nerf, and last but not least a handful of LC10s
Weapon meta in this game didn't exist, every gun was viable!
Seriously tho I quit right before they dropped the Tec-9 and Em2, I'm guessing they just took over and it was Tec-9/EM2/Sniper every game

The extremely harsh SBMM is easily my biggest gripe with CW. It's even worse than MW's
Actually I think is the same SBMM used in MW Warzone CW and vanguard
@@chucknorris6640 ace's SBMM tests on CW showed that the teambalancer was affected. It often makes the entire opposite team higher skilled, so it's not just 2 or 3 people stomping you into the ground, it's the entire opposite team. That's easly the biggest problem I had with CW
Of course you’re going to have idiots saying, “What SBMM? I never had any issues with SBMM and I hold a 3.00 k/d every match, Just Git Gud!”
Even Scump himself had the hardest time holding a 2.00 k/d
I agree with your points and would like to add
- Hitreg on m&k
- Aim assist was completely fucked, always on the extremes, too strong or non-existent (I've never played on a controller before cw and I still managed to get nukes)
- Bullet velocity too slow
Call in air patrol, you can shut it down.
This is exactly what I've been waiting for
I always knew there was a reason i could have 4 straight matches with no connection issues and then my 5th match would be lagging, high latency and ping.
After the video & stuff you had that I didn't/forgot:
- busted sniping @ beta/launch - indeed, was a problem early on.
@@MR_K-RO It’s pushing away the minority of the player base. They don’t give a fuck about us.
You’re gonna get the new one don’t lie
@@MR_K-RO I dont think it is pushing *most* players from the game. I think it's pushing *you* from the game, as well as people like you, which may be a problem. Players who are better than noobs but worse than sweats are not gonna have a good time. At the same time if you want to be better than sweats then it never ends.
@@MiketheNerdRanger How do you work that out when I still play multiple times a week and is sat watching a RUclips video on COD? Go and think for two seconds before throwing your sh*t about 🙄
One look on Reddit, people Playing in the regiments and friends lists shows how many have gave up on the game over the year and half but please continue to tell people how wrong they are.
It’s because everyone uses the exact same load out in every lobby. There’s no creativity, no diversity, it’s just bland and boring every single lobby
Bland. Perfect word.
Why are there so many textures that didn't load at all or correctly? Add it to the list of problems with this game I suppose.
At first I wasn’t a fan & now I like it.
and yet it was still $60
I agree that most people sleep on the fact that it should have been delayed but the problem is that cus it’s a cod game it will never be delayed.
To avoid repetition, these are some of my gripes I haven't seen mentioned yet:
+ Being unable to cycle up and down through menus on the d-pad
+ No clear all green icons button

+ Poorly designed camo challenges that impact gameplay negatively
+ Wildcard balancing

The score streak system worked fine tbh in my opinion. You still relatively had to be doing well to earn a chopper gunner 8,000 score. Not every player would get 8k score in a game
How was matchmaking not game-breaking for you?? Completely ruined the game for me. Sad because the gameplay was actually pretty solid😔
Things I hated are actually many of your points in the video:
- SBMM
- Lobby disbanding
- SBMM
- Slow weapon leveling
- SBMM
- Score streak system
- SBMM
- For me as completionist - bugged challenges (e. g. I have dark matter but it doesn't give me the calling card for certain weapons)
- SBMM
- Stim shot is a must use. The other tacticals are nowhere usable as stim shot
- SBMM
- It's taking too long to find matches even though it is populated and I live in central Europe.
- SBMM
- Air Patrol
&
- SBMM
Fuck you SBMM you ruined Call of Duty and btw I don't blame anyone who reverse boosts.
Tf you mean smoke is king 👑
We'll see I guess.
yo know zobies will cost extra in vagaurd. no zombie launch maps

Lol
The graphics settings are making me sick watching the match on cartel, the constant dark and light changes, the pop in, ugh it's giving me a headache. I know you're on the PS4 version of the game, but I can't tell if that's the game or just editing or something? But it's rough
I think a large part of this problem is when you aim in and out using a sniper/high zoom optic. All of the textures suddenly de-render and all the problems start. I've also found that my game slightly stutters when someone else in the lobby aims down sight with a sniper. This happens to me on both Xbox One S and Xbox Series X.
I think that’s pc gameplay on low settings and he has a ps5
Its the actual game, just horrible,
And its on the ps4 version
Sniping is too easy.
@@brizzle711 lol we disagree homie
@@treesapp22 clearly, snipers love to bitch about it like snipers aren’t OP.
i think one of the main reasons for the huge split between the mw and cw sides of the community is the split that was already there between the search/one life players and respawn players. mw's respawn experience was awful, but it feels like it was tailor made for search and destroy, which appeals to me because that's what ive always enjoyed the most. it feels like its the opposite for cold war, the maps and mechanics feel sluggish and uninteresting in search, but in respawn it flows well and is actually pretty fun even though its not really my thing. i think this is why a lot of the you tubers we saw blow up from mw snd stuck with mw, but many traditional cod you tubers moved on to cold war (or played war zone but that's an outlier). great video ace!
in my opinion cold war was a decent cod but it got plague by the short develeping time.
A game set in the "nostalgia era" makes heavy use of nostalgia by recycling old maps....shocker
Personally I liked the maps so I don’t really mind
I’m also glad they didn’t change the layout for basically all of them
There is the social bond lost with disbanding lobbies but honestly the worst loss for me with disbanding lobbies is being able to stay in lobbies with a decent connection for long periods of time.
Nothing great game classic better than mw3
It is important to mention that this game was pushed out a year before it was ‘scheduled’ in their 3 year dev cycle because Sledgehammer couldn’t get Vanguard done by 2020. I honestly think that is the main reason for some of the more obvious issues, like lack of content at launch and the number of remake maps.
This is my honest negatives list:
1) Lack of tactical sprint
2) Lack of content at launch
3) Score-streak system
4) Lazy gunsmith
5) poor sound design
6) very strict sbmm
What’s wrong with the sound design
@@ExpertAtAll I don’t like the weapon sounds, they are too generic in my opinion. Every gun sounds the same
i agree with all except the scorestreak system yeah it needs to rework to make and reduce the amount of cost of the rewards but i like the fact that it doesn’t reset upon death
this may be the CoD that may single-handedly destroy the zombie community that started with WaW for the sake of Warzone.
No matter how good that game may be in terms of streaks, graphics and/or gameplay, I won't buy it cause of the fuckin SBMM
people like to talk about a potential mw2/bo2 multiplayer remaster but we know damn well they'd throw in sbmm and make them unplayable
So I would just grind them up in zombies only to play two games of multiplayer and get over it
SBMM sucks the only reason why I night vanguard was because of the campaign and zombies
I always thought it was just me.
i think it's because he plays on PC and his graphics settings are all set to low values
I think a large part of this problem is when you aim in and out using a sniper/high zoom optic. All of the textures suddenly de-render and all the problems start. I've also found that my game slightly stutters when someone else in the lobby aims down sight with a sniper.
@@vectra8412 He plays on the PS4 version using a PS5.
Today i got my second nuclear, and that feeling made me wanna go back playing today. Imagine if the killstreak system was normal in this game.
@@generalmcterror2718 ya the snipers in Cold War were really promising at the start but the slow chamber speed makes them feel terrible too
@@bobjones-ub2fr the only one I think is remotely usable is the Swiss and that's really why people see it all the time.
