Just like with every year, I like to break this into 2 parts and today we're going to be focusing 100% on the aspects of the game that I didn't like!       To be fair though there are a couple things that make up gameplay. Mechanically the game is excellent and the atmosphere is also excellent. To me, those are gameplay supporting items and they were well reviewed. However, and he's right, tons of design choices were made that directly impact the actual game flow in motion for multiplayer and those were largely steps back (and why I primarily played Ground War where some of it regarding map control and spawns were better defined). What he's really complaining about is actually more like gameflow and multiplayer balancing which then do lead to the play itself.

      @@danielendres1099 Eh, to an extent. I was actually one of the guys that kind of stopped following the series and I did like it as a way to come back in as a casual gamer. With that said, I basically only liked Ground Wars due to much of what Ace is saying. It's a mixed bag. I think the radar stuff + foot steps were a couple of the more obnoxious items as that really does lead to active strategies being hampered. But I did appreciate ground wars helping nullify some of the spawn issues and create a game type that can foster solid map control. And as far as I am aware Ground Wars didn't implement SBMM either so side-stepped that major pitfall.

    Hes so right when he talks about the friend aspect in SBMM. We argue who hosts the lobbies in our group so we can get easier games and its an insult to the host every time we choose them.

      He is right. But i think it also important to point out, that Ace pretty much carried his friends. In 6v6 it's huge. I understand "play ranked and stfu" position, but it also makes people who play alone experience even worse because if they are matched against the team without any SBMM they're f-ked. And there is no good way to fic this with so few people in each match, unless you start adding more and more modes separating players from each other. SBMM may actually be the lesser evil. Or we need need at least free modes - FFA, strict ranked, and something similar to current system, maybe a bit less strict.

      @@madzaisa to an extent I can understand your argument for the solo player. This is meant to be a social game too. Most lobbies have at least a duo in them and trust me we do get extreme SBMM lobbies when we go with a 6 man because we still lose games to teams of full ransoms. I understand the checks and balances but in reality it just makes the game less fun

      I don't think the host matters, it just averages out. My friend does worse in lobbies with me and I do better with him. It kinda makes in-between lobbies for the two of us.

      @@HNcomics Pretty sure that's the case, But that "in-between" level can be quite extreme. My friendlist have KD:s between 0.6 and 3.5. When the top and bottom players are in the same party the bottom players are doing good if they snag 5 kills and the top is cruising along at 40+. Not really a good time for everyone involved. I would say that and the spawns is the two things that really got on my nerves. (granted the below average would struggle regardless of SBMM, but there would at least be a chance of a lobby more suited to their level )

    Im so glad he mentioned the XP token bull sh*t. The fact that when you activate an XP token and time is already counting while not even in game is ridiculous...

      Why do you care about XP. You get reset anyways. In terms of ColdWar yes. But other than that. XP doesn'z matter in that game

      @AestheticV9 To me personally, something that doesn't matter isn't really annoying. But Insee what you're talking about. To me it mattered more to the Weapon XP Token. That was a shame.

      @@Predash051 it’s not so much that I care about it it’s just double xp and xp tokens have always worked one way. To have it be another way in this game indicates to me that somebody made the change intentionally, to try and fathom why is mildly frustrating is all lol. This is just one of many examples where they have things that work and are generally well received in one title then make changes nobody asked for seemingly for the sake of change.

    I absolutely love the gunplay in this game. The way the guns sound and feel is like no other CoD we've experienced. It's a damn shame this CoD plays out so horribly.

      Absolutely. This game had the highest potential for a cod game ever by far. It’s stunning. But i don’t care how good it looks and is aesthetically, if it plays badly, I won’t like it

    Honestly, the best way I can sum up MW 2019's MP experience is that you're either stomping the enemy or the enemy is stomping you. And when you get stomped, it feels like utter bullshit.

      Domination or TDM in a nutshell. All the systems intended to benefit low players are exploited by tryhards, either camped in corners or at worst in power positions. If you make a single error pushing an objective it feels like you could loose the entire match. The enemy can push up to cut off avenues of entry, lock down a point, or get that much closer to a killstreak that would prevent a gain the moment your team gets the upper hand. Compound that with bad spawn camping and your getting killed over and over before you can so much as figure out where the enemy is in general, let alone adapt.
      I love coordinating with friends, I love the gunplay, the movement, and especially routing enemies that are using cheap tactics; but to play this game I need to take it less seriously or push harder and try to play to the best of my ability anyways.

      I went against a hacker cuz I turned on crossplay lol. I spawned in the same spot 3 times infron of a hacker using a 1 shot an-94 in core, then changed to a different spawn for the rest of the magma before I rage quit to some hog using a fennec and a shield just sitting in a corner

      That's every COD. Because COD isn't designed to be a balanced game, it's meant to be a power fantasy. And there's pushback whenever COD does try to even the experience with SBMM because people want to be able to have that power fantasy

      I like Piccadilly in the campaign only. For multiplayer, it’s like a Karen talking to a manager. ZERO ENJOYMENT. However, I really liked Modern Warfare as a whole. Plz don’t hate me for it. Also I can finally use a very clean and good looking G36C in a new Cod game since MW3 and MWR

    Does anyone remember the days when we had the "Boot Camp" playlist, you know the one that you could only play in until you ranked up high enough to unlock create a class, the one thats entire purpose WAS to protect new players from getting destroyed by much higher skill player (and just regular skilled players with more weapon/attachment unlocks).

      I know I have a high SBMM lobby when they're all lvl 155. wear CDL jerseys, slip n slide bunny hop with MP5's/ shotties, and have TTV/ RUclips in their name with their 4-6mans.

      Yup I didn’t even run uav in this game. Cold War is such a breath of fresh air for the og cod players. Not saying that game doesn’t have its issues but it’s a great base.

      When I was a beginner I was naively doing objectives. Then I soon realized avoiding objectives delibrately can hide information and get more kills.

      Lol I think people don't play the objective cause streamers don't. If you watch swagg's video during the cold war beta you can see his average obj in cartel domination is 0.25 (and that includes objective defends/kills)

    You’ll know you made it to the higher skilled lobbies when everyone is slide canceling around the map and jumping up and down like they’re on meth whenever you get into a gun fight. They’ll also only be using meta weapons

Modern warfare was in the same hole with the m4 and the mp5 for the first 3 months of the release. It’s probably gonna be small nerfs until they feel its okay 🤦🏻‍♂️

      I miss the days where everyone would be talking smack, fighting against each other for hours on end in different matches and getting a rivalry going. Getting a new lobby every match in MW was really off-putting for me.

      @@deshaunhairston5652 All of it is to step down and help players who don't know how to hold a controller, to help those who can't win in their own and rely on crutches to win fights, which are probably the same players in Modern Warfare 2 that went 2 to 30 every match. Modern Warfare 2019 removed season passes and supply drops that made them a boat load of money, replacing it with cosmetic only MTX, and even made Warzone free. The catch to that was trying to get as many brain dead newbie players as possible to inflate the player count.

      nearly all my SnD friends are from random SnD lobbies from bo2 as my friends just like tdm kcon and dom. After joking round with people playing with them and against them for 4-5 games we'd add each other. MW19 just got toxic ppl mostly with one funny person every now and then and they'd be gone after 1 game

      I think that there is a reason behind it though. If you couldn't tell, the franchise was dying before MW19. The franchise was in total decay and the player-base was getting smaller. By making a new game that encourages new people substantially, they are hoping to ease a new crowd of people in. I am sure they were aware that they were alienating a specific demographic but I think it was a loss they determined was necessary and they did it because they are hoping that the new players they brought in will be able to have a better time as we move back towards the old style COD (BOCW).

      I think the reason cod is dieing is because the designers keep trying new things in the game not for the games benefit but in their own interests in winning awards for themselves , we the players want boots on the ground now we have jump shot , drop shot , ass sliding and bunny hopping , imo it does not make the game any more fun its just annoying . There is more advanced movement now than when we had the stupid jet packs . Warzone is not cod but a stand alone game and should be sold seperately which i believe will happen as well as jet packs in warzone , not to improve the game but only their attempt to win awards for themselves , but get ready for the microtransactions in cw new warzone when it arrives in december .

    BO2 was the first cod that I learned and understood spawns and map control. Your point about “knowing exactly when the flip happens” is spot on. As well as paying attention to teammates on the map and inferring that enemies will spawn within gaps in your teams position.

    Great video Ace, I think I agree with all you said in this video. One thing I think you’re missing, and maybe it’s because you don’t see it as a problem, that is the attachment balance. There are so many useless attachments in this game and you almost always see people running the longer barrels, because the downside to these are so small compared to the upside. I think the devs have done a terrible job balancing these things out. And if we take Warzone, it’s even worse. The monolithic supresser is just a part on every class setup you see here on RUclips combined with one of the longer barrels.

    The biggest SBMM thing for me is the playing with friends thing. I'm a considerably higher K/D than my friends and whenever we play together, they just get destroyed while I barely keep my head above water.
    They don't play multiplayer with me anymore. We only play Warzone together now but they still say it is so much harder when I'm there but at least we are all alive for 10 minutes before they all get wiped out by sweats.
    I hate it.

      You should try letting your lower KD friends host. My wife with a 0.7KD always hosts for me and our friends (1.2, 1.3, 1.7) and we pretty consistently get good lobbies. Not even stomp lobbies, we don’t even think about SBMM when we play honestly. Maybe we’re lucky.

    Man, I usually never comment on your channel, even in RUclips generally. You are so damn right on every aspect of your opinions to me, specially when you mentioned this SBMM while playing with friends. My friends don't want to play with me cause they got smashed in warzone and I got so frustrated when i do a super difficult 3 kills of a squad, I die, and the rest of my 3 friends get killed by a super high lvl player so we lose. Also to say you forgot to mention that hacker issue in the high lvl lobies where hackers are very smart and almost not detectable. There is almost 1/2 of games where i encounter hackers who, when I die and I watch the killcam, have 0 recoil only HS and track my face like robot even if I'm jumping. Also Wallhacks where people shoot you through walls even they cannot know you are there. That makes me doubt of everyone then in these lobbies.
    Anyway. Thanks for your awesome content always man. You are doing and incredible work and have very good opinions with solid arguments.

    I simply think this is the best feeling call of duty game I've ever played in terms of controlling your character. Everything was so fluid and natural feeling. Everything looked amazing and for the first time ever quick scoping felt doable for me personally. Just all the other stuff made it suck.

    It’s comforting to hear that I’m not crazy. Like I used to love really high skill weapons, or working with something that was super niche, but I feel like in this game not only did I have to stick to “meta” weapons, but I also felt like I was actively punished if I had a good game

      I agree. The FAL was a personal favorite and as luck it was good in core but all the handguns that weren’t the 357 revolvers were terrible. That’s why I loved hardcore because all it does is bridge that gap between the meta and niche weapons, making them all pretty viable. Because sure the meta weapons still shred in hardcore but not much harder than anything else.

      Footsteps wernt really louder than earlier cods. In COD4 you could hear someone across the map and know exactly what building and what floor based on the material sound. The main problem with footsteps is their inconsistency, echo, and how loud they were when crouching.

    My thoughts (every point he made):
    2:20 (Footsteps) - I agree and I think most do too, it’s insane how ridiculously loud footstep audio is in this game. A problem with this is there’s no balance. If Dead Silence is not going to be a permanent perk, then footsteps need to be quieter, otherwise vice versa. I understand that if it was a perk it could just be a crutch perk, but as it stands, DS is a crutch field upgrade. Footsteps can be heard from eons away and as he mentioned, it encourages “slower play”
    6:00 (Min-Map) - The mini-map is as he stated, a little annoying but I could live with it. I prefer the old one but its not game breaking
    9:43 & 12:32 (Maps & Spawns)- I feel like the map designs and spawns go hand in hand. I don’t understand how the game is released, the players hate most of the maps, you make Shoothouse, everyone loves it, and then you never really make a map similar to it again. Instead you continue to make Maps designed like the hated ones. Also, the spawns are so ridiculously awful. Everyone talks about how Shipment is supposed to be chaos but the spawns on Shipment were not this bad in previous iterations. It’s not just shipment either, Vacant, Shoothouse, Gun Runner, all of these Maos I’ve spawned directly in front, behind, or beside an enemy countless times, and when this happened, there plenty of other places safer to spawn me.
    18:18 - Why don’t kill streaks loop? He mentioned it perfectly as well as the counter argument, but it just doesn’t make sense. Also I agree that we should be able to pick point streaks or kill streaks
    22:36 (Mounting) - Having a bunch of different, unique challenges for the camos, *good*. Having a bunch of tedious annoying challenges that force the players to camp *bad*. I don’t want to spend 3/4ths of my entire day playing the game crouch mounting from a far distance, aiming for the head shortly after reloading. I want to play the game, let me play
    25:05 (Disbanding Lobbies) - We all know this is because of SBMM (as most of the other things are) but man they really don’t want us to have fun, compete, or have a good connection.
    27:30 (You know what it is) - Skill. Based. Matchmaking. The most infamous one on the list. I think it’s a nuisance and I agree that strict SBMM overall hurts more than helps. For some it can make it hard for them to tell if they’re really improving or not because the game is always adjusting and manipulating who they play. For others, I think it’s a wake up call and a hard pill to swallow. When I’m playing I can tell when the competition begins to ramp up. Their gameplay improves, as well as their movements, thought process, and more. However, I still manage to stay at the top either first overall or second. It’s highly possible I’m being carried by SBMM harder than I think I am but I hear many talk about how they have great games and then struggle to get 5 kills for the next five. I think they’re either being dramatic, or they simply aren’t as good as they think they are. Overall, strict SBMM is annoying and for us (who truly mean it when they say they don’t want to pubstomp) it ruins casual play.
    Also with this as he mentioned: THE VARIETY OH MY LORD. Honestly this alone killed a lot of the fun for me more than just about anything else. MP5 MP5 MP5, ooh a Scar, MP5 MP5, MP7. I don’t understand how a gun can be so blatantly dominant over all other guns and the devs still think its perfectly fine. A friend of mine says he only uses that gun because what’s the point of using other guns, they don’t compete, proving my point. My friends and I are playing against a team, they’re all using the MP5. I’m using the M13 can’t touch them, were getting smacked. I usually refuse to stoop that low but I switch to the MP5. It legitimately feels like I was playing the campaign on Realism, got mad and set it to Recruit, gunfights are instantly Childs play, thats ridiculous, we come back and win by a substantial amount. As a Battlefield fan, I feel spoiled and cheated. Spoiled because BF4 has like 20 different guns for each category it’s insane how many different guns you see in game. In MW I feel cheated because they have so many guns but only like 4-5 (1) are viable.
    38:31 (File Size) - My friends and I are convinced this is a tactic to force everyone to delete all their other games and only play this one, absolutely no reason it should take this much space. Optimization is horrendous. Speaking of, I’m sick and tired of the 10-20 second stutters when I am in the main menu trying to create a class and edit load outs, check my barracks, etc.
    38:47 (Seasonal Leveling) - Not going to lie, I don’t care too much about this one, I stopped prestiging in COD a while ago. I understand others like the leveling up but I don’t see the point in resetting your stats and locking everything back up just to unlock it again. To me it feels like pointless, unnecessary grinding. But to each is own I respect your decisions.
    39:43 (XP Tokens) - Stupid, this should never have been like this. Count in-game time only.
    40:17 & 40:36 Communication & Patch Notes) - Every time new patch notes came out, “eh I’ll wait a couple of day, Ace will give us the *actual* patch notes soon enough”
    43:32 (Crossplay) - I’m pretty sure on Xbox you can turn off cross play for multiplayer. Maybe it wasn’t originally in but I remember seeing it last time I played
    44:09 (Cheating) - I’ve been really lucky to not run into more than 1 cheater but I know it’s been rampant. As Ace said, it’s ridiculous how big of a company Activision is but they struggled for so long dealing with cheaters. I’m know programmer or what not so I understand it may be more difficult than you’d think, but still
    44:51 (Is this COD/Wrap Up) - I’ve said it many times and so has my friends, but this is the first game where I we can destroy the other team, I lead the lobby in most kills least deaths, most score, most captures, and still not have any fun. Overall it’s annoying because we know that the devs intentions when making this game was to focus solely on newer, lesser skilled players, but overall it’s ridiculous when you take a step back and see just how much stuff is pitted against us. Extremely loud footstep with no DS perk. Killstreaks don’t loop so if you can stay alive to do that it doesn’t matter. Killstreaks instead of point streaks to discourage objective play. Safe spaces and doors to give campers even more of an advantage. Ghost being active all the time to throw oil into the fire. SBMM to try and put the competitive players in a box. Disbanding lobbies to readjust SBMM. I understand you want to bring in newer players but it feels like you’re trying to push the veteran players out completely. And so many people have made the statement but thats because its so scarily true: the amount of potential this game had was *INSANE*. The gunsmith, the graphics, the sound design, the animations, all of this was *AMAZING*. But it was all ruined by the game design and decisions. I had some fun times and good moments here but overall, I just don’t know.

      It's very hard to do it and don't be invasive. And the cheat developer are always ahead. It takes them hours/days to update it and u need to update the game to change the addresses they use (there would be riots if they did that).

    As an aggressive player with mediocre gun skills, I heavily rely on map awareness, spawn prediction and that big picture stuff. MW took all of that away from me and just left me wondering which will be the window I'd be shot from next. I Did not enjoy the game much, although it was a well crafted game. Just not for me.

      Modern Warfare is that girlfriend who is extremely beautiful but performs horribly in bed.     16:05 This is why St. Petrograd is my least favorite map in the game. Sometimes the game will just continuously spawn my team in that one brick corner area, giving us only 2 escape routes that can easily be covered by the enemy team. It's so annoying.

    You forgot to mention that the severity of the SBMM in MW has greatly impacted and increased connection speed and ping. Never have I ever had to play with such high connection speed or wait so long to connect to a game.

    From a guy who play this game basically everyday since launch:
    I consider myself an above average or good-not-great player. Basically I played CoD 4 until BO2 and then returned to the series with this CoD. Back in my BO2 days, I always had fun in the competitive matches. The ones where the enemy team really fight back. In this game it’s like I’m the boot stomping or I’m getting stomped. This isn’t fun. It’s basically unplayable in the 6x6, and I only have fun when I’m playing the same 5 maps over and over, since every other map is trash. After all, I really liked the game for the reasons Ace put out in the good things video, but the fun factor, that always made me wanna play the game, it wasn’t there. It was like Jev said “I play this game course I hate myself”. If they put the SBMM in a ranked mode, and brought back the old matchmaking and lobbies, it would make the game 500% better.

    70% of the problems didn't needed to exist at all, like the campy map design, loud footsteps audio, fast TTK and Ghost always on just by adding the strict SBMM, the strict SBMM by it's own makes the game waaaaaay easier for low skilled players and on low skill lobbies they can do whatever they want like use underpowered guns, hide on corners, camp and etc... But the combination of strict SBMM with so many noob friendly design decisions made MW most frustrating, boring and cheesiest Cod in the franchise.
    This game is a massive wasted potential, man

      And the problem isn't the blobs getting a easier time, the problem is the impact of those design decisions on high skill lobbies... Like what do you think is going to happen with the Ghost always on when everybody is a above average player?
      And honestly getting lobbies "with similar skilled players" isn't a issue, the game makes it be a issue because it's not fun, back when i was playing ranked on Apex, i felt like a high elo lobby was fun and challenging and i also had rewards, on MW is just cheesy and annoying and it's not even justified at all.

    Gunsmith
    No more lootboxes
    Shoot house
    Multiple tabs full of skins to grind
    Variations of sights
    Different varients of ammo for guns
    But the game's bad spots are:
    All of the gameplay except basic shooting
    Maps are a campfest
    *F O O T S T E P S*
    Seasonal ranks
    Mounting promoting camping
    No red dots on minimap when no UAV or Radar
    SBMM being atrocious (Just add comp. mode FFS)

      Length of ttk is super subjective. I for example, love the mw2019 ttk, warzone's good too, faster than apex, where ttk takes almost whole magazine to kill, that is actually annoys me.

      @@vengeance160 this game’s biggest problem is how almost every core design choice encourages slow and campy play styles while punishing aggressive ones, laser fast ttk is a big reason why people play that way. You’re not gonna feel encouraged to move if you know you can get dropped in 1 frame.
      And you’re right, it is subjective, but it’s almost a fact that longer ttk games like apex have a more apparent skill curve because it actually tests how accurate you can be if you have to land a lot of shots to get a kill. I like COD because of the fast ttk too but they went overboard with this one

      @@mistahtee100 no, apex tests tracking skills, which ofc requires some accuracy, there are a lot of other skill types, such as snaps, and cod is perfect for that. About camping, for me, it seems as a problem for low KD lobbies, any other with higher KD dont have any issues with campers, they are actually quite counterable, and i am sure you are not depressed perfectionist who will tilt by just a couple of deaths by those campers.

      @@vengeance160 to me, tracking while also having to counter-act recoil from sustained fire takes more skill than being able to snap onto a target that can be dropped in milliseconds. And a lot of high KD players get that high KD by adapting their play style to the campy more conservative by the game so it’s not just a low KD thing

      I don't think the ttk is a main issue.
      For instance MW3 MW2 and Black Ops 2 all have waaay faster time to kills but they're all waaaaaayy more enjoyable due to main design decisions

    I really really really wish I could enjoy playing this game. I'd hope on with a great attitude, ready to just have fun and get some funny clips. After every single session though, I'd leave furious at the game. Every time. There are just way too many extremely frustrating aspects of this game for me to keep playing it. I haven't touched it in months at this point.

      Yeah, I still remember, one of the last games I played before I deleted it 10 months ago. It was right when shoothouse 24/7 came out and I was playing the shit out of it. I went 70-10, I was rushing, getting killsrteaks, playing the objective, and generally having a good time. The next game, I played on the sane map, with the same gun, with the same playstyle and went 5-20. That was when I was finally done. I was not going to play a game that punished me for going well

      exactly I really wanted to enjoy this game, this is the first COD game where getting a kill actually felt somewhat rewarding I dont know what it was maybe it was the sound or how the guns felt but I loved the gunplay in this game (hated the time to kill) but it felt good to get multiple kills but this game was just far too frustrating it felt like no matter what I did it didnt matter no matter how much better I got it didnt matter. I'm an above average player hovering around 2-3KD I dont sweat at all I love using random classes im just naturally decent at call of duty games I used to buy COD because it was casual I could put on a playlist or a podcast and just play on auto pilot and do relatively well I loved coming back from the gym at like 10pm hoping on for a handful of games and going to bed I cant do that anymore I have to play at 110% just to have a CHANCE at doing well in this game, I cant listen to music I have to have my headset on sound wh*ring the entire game and if I dare to get on when im a bit tired or not in the mood to sweat I can barely break even

    I also want to add that while the gunsmithing was amazing, the actual class system was terrible. Ghost and EOD dominated the perk 1 and 2 slots as there was no reason to use anything else really unless you were using scavenger and handicapping yourself with an off meta ammo conversion. A simple fix without even changing the perks would have been to simply replace Cold Blooded and Ghost in their respective slots. That way you to choose between really good survivability or really good stealth. Battle Hardened DESPERATELY needed a buff. Not only did it barely counter flashes and stuns (stuns were extremely overpowered in this game btw), but it didn't even counter gas or the sensor grenade.

      Me personally, I actually use Quick Fix instead. Being able to heal after getting a kill or capturing an objective is so handy and keeps the action going. I definitely agree with the class system not complimenting the gunsmith at all, however I do feel like the gunsmith system led to the M4A1/725 combo being so prominent cuz you can have two fully kitted guns at the same time with Overkill.

      The logic you are using here can easily be applied to pretty much the entire CoD series. Your use of "off meta" and wanting to use multiple strong perks at once just makes it clear what your mindset is like. Also, Battle Hardened is pretty good. Also I hate to say it but like I said, logic. Flak Jacket and Ghost were in the same slot in BO1, no one complained. Hacker and Ninja were in the same slot, no one complained. You talk about perks dominating certain slots but its not like other CoDs have never been like that, or have never had their own "meta". I honestly don't feel the need to use "meta" anything because of SBMM for example. SBMM has helped me get better at the game. Sure maybe I want to not try so hard every match, but if I do, I just...do it? I've always played CoD maybe *too* aggressively so SBMM really doesn't bother me that much.
      With how the CoD community acts and behaves now compared to before Jetpack CoDs, and how they are putting Cold War on some sort of second coming of Christ pedestal when it is objectively an inferior game to MW, even though it might be fun, I can't help but just not understand a lot of the issues people have with MW. Been playing the game since about season 3 and with every other comment I see talking about what they hate in this game, I just find myself wondering "why?"

More often than not they suck and they can't even react to you if you're even average. Please don't reply though if its gonna be more excuses. Rushing is not "punished" more than it has been in any other CoD when people camp. Get real. In fact I win pretty much all my matches when I play objective modes, because regardless of whether or not there are a few campers/enemy team is not as good as my team, the objective is always being pushed. Especially in Hardpoint and HQ. Honestly, I hate camping too as much as the next guy (actual camping, sitting in a corner camping. I don't consider holding down power spots in the map/choke points via buildings or otherwise to be camping, unless someone is like always pre-aiming B flag from a window or something. There's easy ways to circumvent that and people have played that way forever. Thats basic map control.), but there is never a shortage of ways to deal with it.
      If anyone hates camping but refuses to change up their playstyle at ALL, or even their class setup (like not even using flashes/stuns/smoke/thermites/molotovs/etc etc) its kinda their fault and not on the game to magically allow them to kill the camper without any effort. Mindlessly rushing is why people get killed by "random claymores" and "campers" (half the time they're not paying any attention and aren't aware at all so someone who kills them around a corner is assumed to be camping, plus no one ever fucking watches killcams ffs.) around corners or otherwise. Its happened to me in FFA before when I've been running through a building and run into a gunfight on my way out, death comms: "oh you're camping it up in there huh". Its mostly the playerbase's fault for the current situation, not the actual game. Granted, I think MW could've worked on spawns a lot more for smaller maps (shipment is garbage) but for the most part they are pretty good, and I think we should've had the option to just change killstreaks to scorestreaks instead of using Pointman, so we didn't have to give up that slot. I honestly do not mind SBMM that much, so overall there is not really many problems I find in MW. People are burned out from CoD.

The average Joe won’t be thinking about changing their play style to fight against campers that are their due to and design on map and gameplay. There shouldn’t be campers at the level there is. Someone at your level, easy, but still, they exist and affect to many. It’s like telling the mass to just git gud for a game they’re playing in their free time after a day of work etc.

    Having azhir cave and talking about bad map design was perfect! Such a well thought out video and I mostly agree with all of your arguments about this game. For me as well, it was the only cod game where I literally got so angry. Hopefully Cold War can bring back multiplayer to where players can actually have fun while grinding and leveling up.

      azhir definitely needed more holes in the cave ceiling, one lane of the entire map is indoors so avoiding streaks is very easy. Mid had too many angles and the other lane is too open.

    The gameplay and map design just didn’t work for 6v6. However, when I switched to solely 10v10, I enjoyed the game so much more. 10v10 felt more like a traditional fast-paced COD game. I will say that Warzone has been a blast and really rejuvenated this game. Perhaps, the gameplay design was always intended for Warzone?

      I think they just got lucky with warzone honestly, the reasons warzone is so popular in my opinion is the fact you can create your own load out in comparison to other games where you have to pick up loot from the floor and the fact that warzone is so much faster paced than other BR games on the market AND that the game is free, I know a lot of friends who play warzone who said they probably wouldnt have even given it a look had it been £30-£40

      The playlists were simply a mess. Modes like TDM allow 10v10 maps like Grazna Raid and Arklov Peak to be played as 6v6, which almost always lead to slow paced, time limit games. On the other hand, maps like Gun Runner in 10v10 were way too chaotic.

      @@11202 its not fast paced but in comparison to other games it is very fast paced, I'm talking about TRIO's and QUAD's, solo's is awful and honestly doesn't feel like the game was made for solo's considering how slow the gas moves

    Spot on as usual. Specially about how spawns work, ghost, dead silence/footstep audio, and doors. I have to mention that I stopped playing the game because I couldn't move around and when I did move around I could get sniped with a shotgun.
