Does the increased boost have any impact on the fuel/air mix? To that end, does a turbo blanket require any changes to a tune, or is (for instance) the Cobb stage 1 ots map fine for a car with a blanket and little else in the way of mods?
Thanks for asking. You do not need to change anything about the tune. The blanket is simply helping with efficiency and heat management. So air/fuel control and metering will still happen with the sensors to adjust for minor changes within the calibration tables no differently than how the car reacts to changes in weather etc.
Which turbo blanket would you recommend for stock wrx turbo. Stock headers. Up pipe down pipe and turbo back are after market. And I can’t find my stock heat shield for turbo looking to keep temps down!
Thanks for tucking in the turbo! Great informative and quick video! Good work, cobb!
Love the short vids! Keep them coming!
Very informative. 👍🏼
That thumbnail though 😂😂😂😂
You guys should make one for ELH and TGV🤙🏾
