Radar hmd is absolutely critical now, being able to fire your arhm and turn away before your opponents is the key to winning.
I’ve never been able to lock with radar hmd. Not even once

Extremely inconsistent for me, sometimes you are better of switching to ACM and setting the scan mode to vertical scan
Hmd has been reported and acknowledged, so it's likely to come soon

I disagree. HMD is quite a must at this point with ARH meta. Need to get that AMRAAM off first and defend first, 20 KM HMD is super meta rn

I do believe it also should have access to HMD. A bug report has been made about it.
For me at least it's been incredibly inconsistent and honestly not worth the trouble of using but to each their own. It'll probably get it at some point too 🤣
@@GeneralLee2000 What's been working extremely consistently for me with the MICA is HMD locking whilst practically almost notching and counting on the thrust vector to immediately turn and laser beam towards the target head-on, giving the least amount of time for the target to turn cold/notch. Had some salty Aim-120 users from this ha!

radar HMD is kind of crucial in a scenario where two people who know how to defeat missiles clash because you don't have to face your opponent directly to launch a missile.
You can lock before you turn, keep it at gimble limit and launch your missile and go defensive right away as opposed to having to point your nose on the guy that can and will get you destroyed.
It is buggy and sometimes just lock around the player, refuse to lock and etc but its usefulness outweigh the issues

Not really for or against this since it was more a joke and more in the crowd that thought the Dutch Sub tree should have been in Germany.
After the mirage 2000 could you use the F-16d(Israeli) and comment on the derbi missles.
It is lighter, but the engine was worse than the f16 and does not have hmd for radar, which is critical in wvr fight right now

For sim battles this seems to be really good, having MAW, a better flight performance, extra countermeasures, is all really great, radar HMD is really good in air RB, but for sim, is not that useful because you have to pay attention to a lot of things already, and unless you use VR or TrackIR it is not really useful.
Lee just out of curiosity, which key do you have your chaff bound to? I literally cannot find any frees keys which im not already using and think having a chaff specific key would be nice for retaining flares.
Bind a key for switching between chaff and flare so you can keep using the countermeasure button you’re used to
I use flares on N and chaff on B, don't know if N has anything by default on it but planes that have chaff don't really have bomb bays so you could use that
I personally have Flares on R, and Chaff on 4.

There is an icon that is used to close this menu. I think it was binded to "/" by default when they introduced it

?? The F-16C has Radar HMD the AM does NOT. It makes a huge difference! Sure yeah in CAS it’s got more flares and yes it’s lighter but cmon now. It ain’t that much better imo. As a matter of a fact… it’s about equal at best since most of the time you’re gonna be firing Fox-3s to begin with.

F16 is the meta. cant beat it in bvr bcuz it has the best tws radar and insane mid alt performance, if you get close you eat a 9m and if you get closer you lose the dogfight. i have like 20 sum aces in the 16c since the patch and have been basically unkillable unless im severely outnumbered or screwed up. as long as you know how to position well the 16c is by far the best in game rn at least for the current mid altitude bvr meta
AGM-65Ds are the best mavs as of right now. The got a buff and are super consistent 1 taps now. Not much reason to being the 65Gs unless you need to splash kill several AAs at once or something like that.

@@GeneralLee2000 I didn't notice. I really only played the 16C a few times in GRB this patch so I didnt test extensively. My very limited experience they've been really consistent though.
It's so bs the Italians and Taiwanese MLUs don't get 120's... If France gets F-16s, I feel like Taiwan deserves their Mirages!!
hell even the US F-16A ADF could and did fit AIM-120s - but Gaijin wants it to stay 12.0, so it stays 12.0

You know, the Taiwanese one, I could be fine with it not having AMRAAMs because it didn't have them irl for some years, so a loadout of AIM-9M and AIM-7M would be both reasonable in game and historical, and there are other planes that could fill the gap of an early Fox-3 platform, the Mirage 2000-5EI, for example.
The italian ADF is inexcusable though... Totally opposite cases imo, it's not reasonable for Italy to have exclusively an Hungarian top tier fighter

@@Notanpilot the radar makes like no difference at all, the engine I showed and talked about in the video... Block 15 still beats block 50 in a dogfight. Pod might be slightly worse but like, it doesn't really make a difference?
@@GeneralLee2000the f16c is a lot faster at altitude, and in acceleration so in a bvr fight I would take the block 50, in a dog fight I would take the block 15
