The German Neubaufahrzeug is a low tier premium medium tank that is sort of like the Maus, but more fun. It has the same dual cannon setup but both weapons are equally useful. It has practically no armor but a decent number of crew members, so it can be a bit tanky. I'm usually not a fan of the German tech tree, but the Nbfz is a lot of fun. I think it's in a good spot where it is, so I hope Gaijin don't move it.

My favourite noise issue is when you are desperately trying to figure out where the enemy tank is and I can’t hear it cause there are 5 planes directly over me and their engine noise drowns out the ground vehicle.
POV you paly vs US or Germany in mid tier
And yet after plane noises disappear, you still try to find enemy, but moment later he sneaks up to you because he doesn't make noises anyway. Of course, on death cam he suddenly makes more noise than dying lawnmower.
What I usually do is just move my camera a bit to the left if I think my enemy is in the right that way I can figure out which side has higher decibels
@@ArustwatDaGoat That's what I do as well, turn the camera and when the sound goes all the way to my right/left ear that means the enemy's position is 90° of my current camera position, then I keep turning the camera to follow their movement to know what way to face my hull/turret
Dude I absolutely hate the fact that there is next to no noise produced when your camera isn't pointed in the direction of the enemy, like oh yeah a 500 HP engine would totally be next to silent if you're standing 20m away from it and you're not looking in it's direction.
I believe when you fire the guns at the same time, the 37mm shell moves fast enough to hit the fence or tree first so the 75mm does not hit it.

Was playing my German BMP-1 and tested a fence with the grenade- it actually shot through. Guess they must have changed something, again.
Not even a belief. Look at the Target Cam. It shows the APHE shell not the heat. That cam shows what hits first. Also HEAT is normally pretty slow since its really just an HE shell that can control its anger.
They changed the Fences, they don't stop anything anymore so you can even shoot HESH through them.
something ive found fun about this vehicle is if you fire both guns the smaller shell goes through all the objects in the way of the big shell to clear a path

The reason you're able to shoot through those fences with HEAT is because you're firing the 37mm and 75mm at the same time. Since the APHE shell is significantly faster than the HEAT round and they're so close together, anytime you would have hit something with HEAT the APHE destroys it first.
Nah recent update the changed fences you can now shoot through them no matter what
You've always been able to shoot HE and HEAT thru those fences on that map. Gaijin is too lazy to fix it. Been like it for years

U can shoot through the metal parts but not the concrete parts
10:30 because at mid and high tiers you have to be a 1 man army, destroy the entire enemy team, cap all the points twice and just complete all the objectives all by yourself only to get a chance of having enough money to repair 3 tanks
That's why I either play arcade, or low tiers. It's more fun that way.

@@TheBananamonger It's the *exact* opposite. Arcade costs less _(lower repair costs)_ and rewards more _(more targets to shoot / 3 guaranteed spawns)._
Realistic is better for research.
That's part of it, but also you get enough experience to assess that a game isn't going well and it's not worth sticking around just to get immediately deleted by a spawn camper.
Low tier (1.0-4.0) anything is acceptable, both is very fun, mid tier which is around 5-7.0, realistic has lower repair costs so that's better
Fun fact about the M22 Locust, you can one shot a King Tiger with it's SAPHEI (32mm pen) round, on the back turret ring you can hit the ammo and ammo rack the king tiger

I love low tier heavy tanks, they are so tanky, not because of armour, but because of how much crew they have
Btw I would love it if you made a video about the ST-A3. It's not the best tank, but it's fun to kill Tigers with 90mm HEAT and an autoloader

Spookston I think you should do a gameplay video on the cm11, it’s truly a hidden Jem, it has the m1 abrams firing system, and an m48 turret mounted on a m60 body. This gives it a faster reload than the m60, it also makes up for most of the armor loss on the m48 turret by suiting it up in ERA

I’ve always been intrigued by this tank whenever I saw it on the premium tech tree for Germany, now I know how fun it can be to play
One tip I would recommend especially if you play a lot of tanks with multiple different caliber guns is to have the secondary weapons firing on a separate mouse button. Believe me it helps out especially when you want to just use a 35/37mm secondary cannon for a light vehicle and save the big shell for another tank near it.
Also, I am still asking for a Chi-Ha Long Gun video. :P

It’s not that people respawn less as they learn the game, it’s that repair costs ruin the gameplay as you get higher in tiers

Way underrated tank. This was my favorite tank when I first started playing warthunder. I've had a lot of high kills games like yourself, and despite its terrible armor, it can be surprisingly survivable. It's fun firing the smaller canon to get people to peek out of cover, thinking you're reloading, and then tag them with the other one lol
At 2:20 your smaller gun had higher velocity, so it destroyed the fence, letting the HEAT shell pass through

So far, I have learned that trusting the engine noises in WT is like trusting Your teammates that they will protect the flank - it gets You killed. Thus, naturally, I play without sound.
The respawn comment was pretty profound. I just hit 100 hours today, and today was also the first time I started to not respawn regardless of SP. If the other team is too good and there's a chance I'm just gonna get SL mined, no respawn.
Exactly. There's been times where I came back on a game I thought was a lost cause because I was trying to hit a challenge or something, and we ended up pulling it out or at least putting up a fight, but those games where you get obliterated in the first minute, the enemy has all the caps, and your team can barely get out of spawn? Yeah, not worth it.
It was actually me who did quite a lot of reports to get the Nb Fz fixed, examples are the gunner and loader were switched, the turret too slow (but as you noticed the Pz I turrets which can even freely be rotated werent made faster) the driver front plate was only 13mm thick. Engine horsepower and rpm, total speed.

Would love to see you play the Type 62 Light tank, Spookston. It's a decently mobile light tank, and the gun is great; 85mm APHE can be surprisingly effective at 6.7, and you have HEAT-FS to fall back on.

I think that the interesting thing that happened there is that your second gun destroyed fence on its way allowing HEAT shell to hit as well because it has higher speed
Would be nice to see the CV90120, its an amazing tank and has so much worth going for, especially its commander optics, yet its barely around.

The respawn bit is very true, in higher brs if you die twice without contributing anything you might want to pull out to lessen your losses. That is how I play at least. You can read that it’s a lost cause match

Neubaufahrzeug: "Noun-ified" for "Newbuild-Vehicle" even though it was a Huge Tank
Leichttraktor: "Light Tractor" but it was a Tank
FP (Füllpulver): "Fillingpowder" for Bombs but it actually was an Explosive compound
Day 5 Suggestion: try out the leopard 1, Its in a spot at 7.3 where it does very well, and in downtiers, faces WWII tanks that don't stand much of a chance, But also works decently well in upteirs against most vehicles due to the APDS or the HEATFS round it gets (I personally prefer APDS)
I'm not sure if you have before, but a video on the Crusader would be awesome. It's such a fun little goblin to play once you get the hang of it

10:30 yeah the players learn that if you do not have premium, then the game incentivises you to not play, since usually the repair cost is higher than the rewards you could get from playing the game. The higher tier you go the more problematic it gets too.
The more experienced one gets at WT, the more he learns the WarGames Principle which sums up the Cold War: The only way to win, is to not play the game.

Hey Spookston, I've been watching your videos for a while now, and think I might have a good suggestion, the SARC MkVI 6pdr. It's just .3 BR higher than the Puma, and for that you get the 6 pounder and a .50 on the roof, at the cost of some movement speed and the risk of overpressure
May you do the M10 GMC next, it has a very slow turret turning speed, so I think you will have "fun" with it.... (love your vids)

This creature was made at the start of WW2 to hunt Soviet super heavies, with the 37 while the 75 was supposed to be used as anti-infantry. Certainly shows how interesting tank design in the interwar period and very early WW2 was.

I play mainly at top tier, but I love going to low tier sometimes, it's great when people actually respawn. Games at low tier can often last the full timer and you get to use you whole lineup not just 1 or 2 things

Would be interesting to see you play the LVT 4/40, it's a rather bizarre vehicle.
Spookston, you can bind the secondary cannon to another button, for example a mouse button (I have mine bound to one of my thumb buttons of the mouse).
If you do it this way you won’t have to switch between the sights to use the guns independently.
Finally he plays the best Vehicle in the Game. No one can change my mind on that. I love it.

The big advantage of the Nbz over the other multi-turret premiums is that even with only a single gunner left, you still get use of both tank guns.
The T-35 loses it's 45mms and the Ro-Go loses it's 37mm and the primary cannon on both is worse that the 75mm on this thing.
So even if you're down to your last two crewman, it doesn't make much difference.
Press F to give respect to the poor M15 that went all "GET DOWN MR PRESIDENT!" and failed successfully.
I recommend using the newest Swedish mbt, fast, pens good, great armor too
The Turan would be a great tank to try, it’s stupidly fast both forward and in reverse, as well as having a decent heat round combined with a fast reload.

hey i love you´re videos and love to play CAS in War thuner and can tell you why you get bomb drop (except revenge kills) so often. You kill a lot around you, a lot of smoke so its more likely that plane will look there. I often kill players that are easy targets often you are in the open thats why

Just making sure Spook but you have your guns bound in both ways correct? The first way is to manually switch, meaning the primary is set to whatever gun you are on and the other way is just to bind the fire separately, ala Mouse 1 primary and mouse 3 secondary type deal without the need to switch guns. Just curious, interested in hearing other bindings people have as well!

as far as the respawn thing goes as you go up the teirs the unlocks come at longer rates because of the RP needed so its much easier to have several tanks in a lineup at lower teirs and much harder as you go up in teirs, on top of the fact that they have event vehicles at those higher tiers so many ppl have 1 vehicle for a 9.3 lineup and are still unlocking their second 7.3 vehicle :/ gaijins own unlocking system is why the players at top tiers spawn less
