i would fucking hate it without gameplay changes like whats the point of adding these jets if their sole purpose of existing isnt even in the game
New gamemodes are needed, both in Air and Ground
What tasks are we talking about?
NATO vehicles exist for corruption schemes and for selling them to fools.
What else do their tasks include, besides protecting the hangars?
this is what the newbies wanted, i always wanted a game mode where we can play top tier jets without missiles but some scrub would say go play 7.0 the whole meta of f top tier is all about missiles no relevance to jets anymore

Tbh, they should just have added early Eurofighter Typhoon and F/A-18 to the game.
Typhoon for Germany, Italy and Brits.
F/A-18 for USA, and Sweden (thro Finland).
Problem with that is Eurofighter is too advanced for the game rn and they would break it. I’ve heard that the typhoon competes against f22 when it comes to dogfights (correct me if I’m wrong). They should have added an f/a 18 for the navy line
@@-pr0vat70 Yea, Eurofighter beat F-22 in a fight even tho it doesnt have vectored engines like F-22 tho I dunno if that fight was in what range. But I would say in a solo 1v1, F-22 wins most of the time but Eurofighter has arguably better missiles, Meteor with better guaranteed kill range than AIM-120 and IRIS-T.
They could add the early typhoon and limit its armament like they usually do. But F-18 would be very nice, would give Sweden a good multirole plane too.

Eurofighter is a big step up. That would pretty much be an even newer f16C but arguably with a better airframe and systems.
Germany and UK (other than grippen) do definitely need something and this is the only thing. But I do still hope it is done properly, not just because.
@@fennoman9241 could be mixing something up but pretty sure in this scenario the eurofigher started out on the f22’s tail.
From that position it’s much harder to lose someone, even if you turn better since they can just take the inside turn.
For missiles it depends on which versions you take. The aim120 got segnificant range upgrades. Especially if they would use a D variant for example. But generally the irst is a bit better I think. Though the aim 260 should be better.
Here's what I think they should do after getting to 4.5 gens
>Adding additional vehicles they skipped over in the lower brs, especially ~rank 6 onwards, e.g. US could have the Sea Dart, Skyknight, TT Tiger, Cobra etc.
>After adding more vehicles in those BRs, decompression needs to happen, especially around Vietnam era jets onwards
>Adding additional gamemodes, team deathmatch is fun but it's stale sometimes
I think the way they make aircraft which have different iterations have different loadouts is great, and they should keep doing it as long as the BR differences are a bit more drastic, because it introduces more types of playstyles with different tiers of weapons with the same platforms
For example, I really like how there's multiple versions of the F16 in the US tree, I play both the F16ADF and the F16C because despite the similar platforms the ADF plays in the SARH meta which has a totally different playstyle compared to the C's ARH meta
Having more distinguished BRs for these metas would be nice, so despite it being the same gamemode, theres really like different stages of different gameplay instead of everyone just picking the most 'meta' types of weapons
I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the f18, su30 & eurofighter in the winter update. New top tier airframes get released most often on the winter patch and we have caught up to the technology in game.

We're close. Rafale, Eurofighter, F-18, F-2 coming this year 100%. But if Gaiji wont add Aim-9X, ARM's and other moder stuff for it, what's the point then? Just a model.
There is no way the Eurofighter or Rafale will come into the game within the next 2 years.

@@contemptordreadnought It's mostly about sikret docs access to make a proper model and avionics. So probably F-22 isnt too close, but IMHO it completely fits the game without breaking balance.
its already broken, new patch has changed meta to point where trying to lvl or spade 12.0 or 13.0 is a cancer. games are to fast. you are stuck trying to get close while being killed at 10 miles from 120's and usually games are to fast to bomb, cancer. Iam just an avg player and dont find top tier jets much fun at this point, tech gap is to big for a casual player
yea, soon enough if things stay the same the only way to spade a toptier jet is either gonna be draining your wallet to instantly unlock modifications or to be a creator that gets to test drive it
I got F15J(M) and I just did a wide angle around to a base and then attacked ground and ai aircraft. Got amraam in one evening with this method

Not the planes, it’s the game mode. Small ass maps with 32 players just hasn’t been it for YEARS and it SHOWS even worse with these more advanced Fox 3s.
@@criticalthinkingtryit been there done that, it was a little bit easier for me as i usually play sim so i just kept my radar off flew low to the ground and bombed bases once i unlocked napalms

@@anrw886 Yes I want that. The normal 104S is my most successful plane in sim, over 600 kills. I love 104s. The fact it never was "meta" doesn't mean you can't be good in it.
Theres so much they could add from WW2 and cold war era. They could even add some interwar (and maybe ww1) stuff that can be unlocked as sideways progression
How close are we to getting the F/A-18 damnit all!
We still have 4.0 generation. The F/A18A needs to be added and that can only carry Fox 1s and Fox 2s. We are trying to jump to Eurofighters when we need to start padding trees with 4.0s finishing those off and then optimizing the game so there is more to do that shoot fox 3s at eachother all day. They need to make game modes that reward objective based targets not shooting eachother down. Once you do that you can incorporate other types of aircraft that are basically useless now because the only meta is shoot eachother down.
Still wanting the F18 and F14D. If they start heading into concept planes more, would be awesome to see the ST21 (Super Tomcat 21st Century) which was supposed to be the pinnacle of the F14 design with increased range and possible super manuevering with thrust vectors
Just learned how to notch, and I can confidently say this update is a good one, it was my skill issue that caused me to complain initially
Yeah, most deaths I've had from fox 3s have been me not paying attention or just super close range hits
I dont understand why there isnt matches where tank players play their ground battle and there are locked players that only play tank or pilot but you can choose beforehand and because of player ground aa u need to play defensive and not rush to the battlefield dude thats the perfect idea

I hope we will see 4.5 by Christmas and then IRIS-T, AIM-9X, etc. in the update after that.
But after that they should take a break and instead add more of the planes in the other BRs they skipped and decompress the trees like they did with ground. Also, the next subtree is coming next year, and I'm hoping for one for Japan, even though Israel needs it just as much.
We need new game modes and in game assets. It’s cool that we have these modern pieces of equipment but I’ve been playing the same game modes since 2014. There’s so much potential but gaijin is dumb af

The eurofighter should be in this update, they could put it perfectly with aim120a and aim9l/i and it would be similar in avionics to the f16c in maneuverability and number of missiles to the su27 and engine like the f15 or a little better Also, it is from the same year as the planes in this update, it is from 2003, the same as the su25sm and the f15c msip2 is from 2005 (speaking of tranche 1 which is not even remotely a gen 4.5 Like a su35 or a f15EX)
The EF defenetly outperforms the F16C by a good bit - but I agree that the prototype or tranche 1 versions wouldn't be that far ahead in terms of technology
@@bluefox9436go see a dogfight of the f16c against the EF in dcs, I know that the dcs mod is not 100% realistic but it gives an idea, they are clearly up to the task. And what technology if it has practically the same, the radar will have the same range, the rwr, well, they are all the same in the game, the missiles are the same unless they add more modern ir missiles for All

I think the reason why they didn’t add the f-18 is because it can carry 10 aim-120 and 2 aim-9m while having the maneuvering capability as an f-5 so they went with the f-15c to test the waters of 6 aim-120s and 2 aim 9ms and the f-16 with 6 or 4 and 2 9ms and hows its looking that will be a factor when going against an f-18

They have completely forgotten about bombers since the Avro Shackleton, so hopefully we get more bombers, like the B-50's, Washington B.1 and V bombers, B-36,47 and the Tu-16/22/H-6 bombers.
Problem with a lot of those is how easily they'd be shot out of the skies

In order for the player to notice the difference between pesa and aesa, you need to introduce the mechanics of electronic warfare, otherwise there is no difference

Eurofighter's Tranche 1 maybe (it should already be in the game), JAS39D (Two-Seater) JAS39E, F-18C for USA, Sweden etc.
then we get IRIS-T, Meteors, AIM-9X, AIM-120C
5:43 Germany will get the Canadian or Swiss F-18 before the Eurofighter. Both Italy and the UK got subtree Gripens so they’ll do the same for Germany when they add the F-18A+ for the US this Christmas

we need pve missions for top tier air in realistic setting since the FOX3's are making it really hard to gain rp, so if you want to do pvp you have open the wallet and get the fox3's to be on a even footing with other ppl
F15C > F18 most likely be next but you have other nations like Germany that needs Eurofighter etc....Now that France has F16 that has somewhat bigger loadout compare to American tech tree block 15 variant, you wonder when they release F18 variant, whether loadout will be better bigger as well. I am looking forward to F18 / F18 Superhornet. F22 would be my next thing. To this day I have not made the effort to grind out air tree, only China / Japan comes close to mid / top tier unlock.

I think befor Germany gets Any Gen 4+ or 4,5 jet other nations (US and USSR mainly) will get something like that first . it's tradition for Gaijin to give Technoligies or new Kind of vehicles 1 or updates after the other Nations to Germany ( Leopard 2, F4F, Marder, Alphajet etc) . I predict in the best case a Swiss subtree for the end of the year, If they add F18. Worst case they will add nothing to German Airtree till the end of the year and the Techtree will stay no match to the other big ones.
Well, there is another tradition with gaijin to add overpowered shit for russia or us and then give the other one something similarly overpowered or more overpowered, rinse and repeat. But with the Pantsir outclassing everything we have in cas and aa systems, the EF would make more sense, especially when they add IRIS-T and Meteor missiles, maybe even HARMS so we can finally have some fun again and not get sniped from 20kms away right after spawning.... we might even see stuff like the skyranger or modern missile aa systems

Yes but it doesn't matter because all the games are usa vs usa
they are relatively easy to evade if you take evasive manuvers such as notching before you know a missile is coming for you. Always best to assume one is en route to you

@@sooryan_1018 Yes but not for the next update and not for the one after, I wouldn't mind Germany getting Swiss Hornets to get a competitive top tier but not a Eurofighter, and for the other 4.5 gen aircrafts there is literally no reason to add them.
Gaijin ruined war thunder top tier with the spamraams which make it impossible to spade without golden eagles. I hope that they either make spading easy asf or just give every mod when we get the vehicle.
All Eurofighter's up to 3 tranches (4 generations), not 4.5 or 4+. Don't confuse everyone with this video.

With upgrades it could beconsidered 4.5 gen, for example the Gripen E is considered to be a 4.5 gen aircraft becuase of the excellent communications and electronics. If it was a stealth aircraft it would be 5th gen.
It's crazy that the Eurofighter typhoon hasn't been added yet because it would be perfect for the german tech tree.

I would like to see a proper A10C with MAWS, possibly AIM9X, better mavericks and targeting pod integration as well as being able to carry the latest LGBs. It would be viable in top tier with the Aim 9x. Ive used the A10A at top tier multiple times and it only has 9Ls so its possible, just not ideal
An attack aircraft with broken missiles is not a good thing to add, early cold war jets without flares facing A10 and Su25 with undodgeable all aspect 30g missiles is already an issue in the game.
but I am not against an A10C of course just not with AIM-9Xs.
@remagdak how would that break the game in a fox 3 meta? Say you could only carry two, and that would also open the field for the tornado with the amraams to also get the asraam as it was irl
@@toxickilljoy9037 If it is at like 11.7 or 12.0, it would mean that mid cold war planes like the F5, J35, Su22 or Mig21 will face a 2000s insane thrust vectoring 60g missile undodgeable from rear aspect and maybe even from side aspect. And the A10C will be nuked by 2 amraams before even reaching a ground target. What we need is a separate PvE mode for these planes with objectives comparable to the helicopter pve mode, because honestly the roles of planes like A10s and Su25s are way more comparable to those of a helicopter than those of a fighter or a fast attack aircraft like a Mig-21 or a Tornado.

Gaijin won't add any of the eurofighters for only these 2 reasons:
1. Eurofighter would easily kill any russian aircraft ingame (gaijin needs to protect its soviet kittens)
2. It's armament and characteristics are overpowering almost any aircraft in war thunder right now, armament that eurofighter carries is:
IRIS-T, Meteor, AIM-120C-5/C-7, ASRAAM (AIM-132), AIM-9L, AIM-9X (probably) and AIM-9M
The Eurofighter is a 1994 plane. If you think theres nothing on team red that could counter it you're mistaken. SU35, J15 are just two notable mentions.

Not all versions of the plane carry the latest missiles, it is so difficult to understand that.
The first production version only has aim120b and irist or aim132 but it is compatible with the aim9m aim9l/i they could fit the EF 2000 simply with that until they put the aim9x, otherwise in technology It has nothing that other airplanes don't have
