im from india and its accurate that our bisons are modified by HAL (Hindusthan Aeronautics Limited ) to have better radar and advanced missile pay load which is depicted in the game...GOOD JOB GAIJIN.....RECENTLY ONE OF THE BISON during a dog fight took out a pakistani f16 which is amazing

Going off topic, I bought premium mirage this summer sale and i recommend it to everyone. You can take 4 missles (2 are 100% kills) and still be able to destroy 1 base. In 25 games i've researched every prop in french tech tree (from absolute 0)

Unpopular opinion: most Phantoms got a major buff recently. Not only SARH missiles are very deadly even at low altitude now, and MiG-23s got nerfed so much only a decent pilot can be somewhat dangerous in that aircraft. Needless to say, a competent migger is a rare sight.
For jet premiums, no matter how good of a deal the plane is, buying one is 200% a gamble. In a month everything will change and your plane will now be useless, then good again, and you will never know what gaijin will think of

The Harrier GR1 is awesome. I thought it's bad until i got it about a year ago but the Sraams are hilarious. Kinda the best knife fighter missiles in the game. Also you can easily shoot down an incoming frontal all aspect ir missile with it from a su25 or a10 which they love to do and then they are done. Got some absolutely ridiculous kills with the sraams due to thrust vectoring like an R73.
(my grind was GR1 to unlock everything until rank 7 top then put a talisman on the FGR1 and bomb bases while run and gunning everything in between. I was done in a week with the whole thing.

Just a small correction, the Indian Bison's engine is the best version of the Mig-21 engine and is not found in any other mig-21 in the game.
Thought there was no engine performance upgrades ?

Unless something got changed after the patch went live; this is not true, at least not in War Thunder.
I compared the thrust and TWR charts. The Bison is identical to every other bis.
@@WalvisYT thats strange, it was supposed to come with a much upgraded engine. The Indian Bisons (this standard) never used the older Bis engines, and by 2000 when this version was used, it had an engine much more on-par with newer fighters. Then again this is war thunder and the sea harriers and tornado’s havent even got a usable/correct hud.

I've seen this thing pull moves in Air RB that even the Su-30 IRL would struggle to do... It can pull ridiculous AOA and rudder yaw turns without flat spinning out of control... I've watched it pull some top gun shit and outperform a JAS-39 in a dogfight..
To be fair I've seen a number of top tier jets do similar things, but... It's just absurd that anyone could call this game anything remotely close to "realistic"

The missiles worked just fine, but not having a gun led to extrememly passive gameplay, so it just had me falling asleep midgame.
@@jojomaster7675 Yes, sadly some Bozo found documents. I really wish they were not real but, it stated that the Red tops had a Max G load of 12Gs, not 16. So the Red Tops are now worse than the Fire Streaks and the Fire Streaks are barely usable outside of 1km. So yeah. The Red Tops are worse than the missiles they were the successor of. So cool.

So, it seems like it was more of a change rather than a straight up nerf. The total changes were a 25% lower G pull and a 25% weaker engine output, but also a 50% reduce to drag and 2x faster reaction time off the rail.
This means that it's effective range (on the vixen, lightning will have higher effective ranges) increased from roughly 1.5km on deck and 2km at high alt to 2km on deck and 3km at high alt. The faster reaction time also means it's easier to lead and will have a lower minimal range as well.
However, the lower G pull combined with lower drag means that rather than dodging it with a barrel roll, like you would a firestreak, you can simply dodge it by outpulling it, like you would an AIM9B.
Seems interesting, and might actually be a buff to the lightning, but it means that playing the sea vixen will be even more dull now, as you're forced into more longer range engagements. It should still be a viable grinder, you'll just have to adjust to the new missile behaviour and switch out your gaming chair for a sofa, as you'll need a more comfortable place to fall asleep while "playing" this thing.

I also still believe the 9M is the better missile, I have used both the 73 and the 9M and I prefer the 9M
Cant believe they wanted to put this thing at 12.0. If I had a nickel for everytime gaijin tried to put an Indian vehicle at a battle rating it shouldnt be, i would have 2 nickels. Its not much but its weird that it happened twice.
I tried both the R27s T and Rs and i had way better time with the Ts
If you have a good experience with it then i can't argue with that but the r27t kinda bad tbh even r24t is better
That's fair! The only real difference between the R and the T is the missiles guidance system. If you prefer to use IR missiles, the T is a very solid choice.

I suppose it's only because of the R-Darters (one of if not the worst ARHM in the game now)
But even then it's still a 39C airframe with the crapload of CMs and 6 AIM-9Ms. But I believe you can always work around sub-par performance

@@WalvisYT why? Its second fastest plane at this br. Good manouverablity (certainly better than starfighter), good missiles. The only bad thing is placement of guns which requires getting used to them

5:55. Completely non-sensical take. The SA Gripen may be the worst of the family but its still better than the vast majority of Rank 8 aircraft and one of 2 logical options for ground battles. If somebody wants to grind UK, only plays UK, or it's their current nation of choice why would they buy something from another tech tree? Nobody buys a premium because it's the best in the game. They buy it because it's the best or only option in the nation they are playing....
1. UK Grippie is the worst C Grippie. No need to play the UK specifically for that jet alone.
2. It is never to late to actually start playing a good tech tree; saying 'what if they only play UK?' Isn't really a valid argument.
