I know you've heard it a million times before, but you guys are seriously the next Top Gear, love this channel! You've come so far from Thomas teaching how to drift years ago
@@janeyarnold5483“just added power and some inside bits“ If you knew anything about Brabus you’d know that they are one of the top tuners in the world and modify every part of the car.. let alone the full carbon body that you must have forgotten
The power cord dangling underneath brings back memories. When I moved to BC from Alberta, I took my ‘95 Mustang into the shop for a tune up. When I got it back, the service manager says “Umm. Do you know you’ve got an extension cord wrapped up in your engine? We tried to pull it out, but it’s in there good!” 🤷♂️ None of them had ever heard of a block heater. Explaining what it’s for was like explaining dark magic to a Muggle.
I drove down to Arizona once, and a dude asked me if my truck was a hybrid because of the "extension cord" sticking out of the grill. When I explained that in Edmonton, it routinely gets down to -40F he looked at me like I was an alien.
I think the fact alone of having 6 5k dollar, 600 lb, military strength tires to survive gunshots and land mines, and STILL having a spare on the back that blocks all visibility just to look cool automatically wins any stupid contest.
I think you are a bit mistaken on the strength of these tires...😂 The wheels have run-flat inserts around the shell. That insert is what allows you to drive up to 50 (or 100, depends) miles after losing a tire.
Usually a heavy truck have only side mirrors. There is supposed to be a load behind your back. Standard today seems to be cameras in every corner. Still backing up a trailer is common practice.
I remember driving a dually f-350 and f-550 and I was always told if the mirrors fit the rear will need to be straight when you go through. If the mirrors fit the ass end will if it’s inline with the fence posts. With the wider tires you should extend the mirrors all the way out to make sure the read fits properly.
Yea the owner is a nice guy he lives right by my work so I see him every now and then and he said he just has them for fun doesn’t care if it breaks down cuz he has the money to get it back up lol
The locking diffs in the 6x6 work as follows, there are 5 diffs, one for the transfer case, one for the front axle, one for the mid axle, one for the rear axle, and between the mid and rear axles. Button 1 is for the transfer case, like the normal G-wagon, splitting the power 50% to the front and 50% to the rear except the rear in the 6x6 has 2 axles, meaning that the mid and rear axles share 50% of the power. Button 2 locks the mid axle, rear axle and the diff between them. Button 3 locks the front diff like the normal G-wagon.
The differential lock switches from left to right are: 1. front differential. This locks only the front axle differential. 2. Interaxle differential(s). This one locks the transfer case differential (splits power between the front and rear axles) and might also lock the rear interaxle diff (splits power between the middle and rear axles). 3. Rear axles. This one locks both rear axle differentials, and may also lock the rear interaxle differential if that isn't already controlled by the middle switch. Imagine that the truck is held completely off the ground, but with some friction on all 6 tires, so that when you hit the gas, the wheels spin. Having the vehicle in 6x6 with all the lockers unlocked means that only one wheel out of six will spin, specifically whichever one has the least traction (actually, depending on how the transfer case is set up, you might get one front and one rear, but anyway) Locking the center interaxle diff means one of the four rear wheels and one front wheel will spin (again, whichever ones have the least resistance). Lock the rear interaxle differential and one wheel on each of the three axles will spin, and then lock the three axle differentials to get all six wheels turning at once.
Yes, with the “standard” 6x6 wheels, but these wheels are aftermarket from Brabus and it seems that Brabus has not routed a air pressure line through the wheel hub to the tire bed. At 19:06 you can see that there is a normal “valve” sticking out of the tire. So James was right that the switches don’t actually work at the moment
At 12:15 The mega raptor had the rear suspension bolted directly to frame with a bolt 5x smaller than it should be. That thing was not built well for sure.
Dont even think those tires should be on there highly unnecessary but yep i see exactly what you talking bout none the less aint my money as long as the owner enjoys it cause ill probably put slightly smaller tires

5 diff locks is easy: -The left button's drawing shows you it controls the front diff lock, and it has number 3 on it because that's the last one you should lock up after all else fails -Middle button's graphic shows you it's the centre lock, it has number 1 on it because that's the first one you should engage when the going gets rough -Right button shows you the rear locks, all 3 of them (one for each rear axle and one for the diff between the two rear axles), and it has number 2 on the button because that's the second diff lock you should engage if only the centre lock is not enough to keep you going

I've watched only four minutes of this and I gotta tell ya folks, it's the MegaRaptor for me! It looks way more badass than the Brabus because it is!! Sorry MB, but you've been upstaged!
Brabus has been making their version of the G65 for years. They capped it at "only" 900hp and 1200Nm because apparently that's the most the gearbox can take before it just snaps.
This is amazing. Kudos to the owner of these beasts. That Ford is what I would expect to show up towing a giant as$ speed boat at poker runs here in small town Ontario.
On the standard G wagon the differential locks from left to right are: FRONT CENTRE REAR. They're numbered in the way that you're supposed to lock them in (center first...then rear....then front). Pretty sure there's something else about how you need to put it in neutral, then engage the low range gear box and then you can lock them. No idea how it works in the 6X6 though but my guess would be the center two lock together and rear two lock together?
I have watched probably hundreds of car videos, but this is honestly the only one I remember where I had a stupid grin on my face the whole way through. Thanks Throttlehouse I hate it.
The fact that this guy owned a 2 million dollar 6x6 Brabus with a KFC chicken bucket license plate and THEN decided to build a machine that dwarfs it with back lights to fuck with tailgaters is simply legendary.
The original TRex was a 6x6 during the 90's. Having two axles connected together isn't an easy thing to do. They disconnected the rear axle. That truck hauled stuff around Chelsea for years after that truck was built. Everyone loved it, no one liked driving it.
Alot of guys will just pull Rockwells out of an M35, and they all came as 6x6. The pan actually faces down and the pinions attatch at the top of the centersection perpendicular to the driveshaft.
Imagine having 2 million dollars, and spending it on a pickup truck. You could have had a Rimac Nevera, McLaren Speedtail or Koenigsegg Regera, but you bought a pickup.
You guys spent almost the whole video trashing both cars with no real test other than ridicule. I clicked on the video baited to see these monsters in some real action yet all I saw was a continual roast off against both cars and their owners. These vehicles were made to be unique and monstrous, it may not be to everyone's liking but I don't think you guys gave their sheer engineering and capability abilities any credit. Since this video was recorded in Ontario, I'm assuming you guys are Canadian and that brings me extreme surprise as I usually encounter Canadians that mostly only spread kindness and positive vibes.

Don't forget completely reliable!
Theres always Motoring TV. Get over there to shop for your new Corolla big guy.
Lmao 😆😆😆😆😆😆
Guys getting the old Top gear vibes from you, plus your doing a great job ✌🏼
I've watched only four minutes of this and I gotta tell ya folks, it's the MegaRaptor for me! It looks way more badass than the Brabus because it is!! Sorry MB, but you've been upstaged!
I love this channel! Thomas and James are the funniest car reviewers ever! Love the whole thing! 🤣👍🏼
The comparison we all were waiting on. 🤟
Happy to be a part of the Brabus family! This monster is pretty crazy. At this moment Brabus is building 900hp versions 😎👌🔥
The switches on the top of headliner in the g wagon is used to toggle between the fuel tanks and for the air compressor.
Another incredible video! The team at Throttle House continues to hit it out of the park
Lol the bird's eye view showing just how massive the mega raptor is compared to the g wagon cracks me up
Cruisin around town knowing how stupid it looks to do so would also be the first thing I’d do with these trucks 🤣
21:03 "Damn" That was HILARIOUS to me 😭
I like Brabus but this Raptor is really looking dope & a big boy!
I love customized trucks 😂 , i would love to own a brabus 6 wheeler . Its astonishing that the same guy owns both
you guys could literally make hour long videos and we would all ask for them to be longer lol
such a duo!
On the standard G wagon the differential locks from left to right are:
FRONT CENTRE REAR.
Thomas: "these trucks are cool right?....right?....right?"
Me: "uh....i think so...." 🤷🏾♂️
This was very Top Gear ;) love it, more of this stuff!!
For the custom Raptor to have kept up to the Brabus is impressive
True, but we have no idea what gearing it has, and 1000hp out of a 6.7 powerstroke is probably at least 1,500 ft/lbs of torque.
You know,
I was waiting for this,
Respect to you both and your team
Love From India
I have watched probably hundreds of car videos, but this is honestly the only one I remember where I had a stupid grin on my face the whole way through. Thanks Throttlehouse I hate it.
Should do the Hennessy TRX and Raptor 6x6 next! That would be wild
“This tires are like cockroaches” lmao 😂😂😂😂
Keep grinding guys♥️💪
Love from Nigeria 🇳🇬🇳🇬
5 locking diffs can be achieved with permutation combination with those 3 buttons.
The fact that this guy owned a 2 million dollar 6x6 Brabus with a KFC chicken bucket license plate and THEN decided to build a machine that dwarfs it with back lights to fuck with tailgaters is simply legendary.
17:50 he's so nervous in that thing
Shout out to the guy who owns these awesome yet impractical vehicles.
James's intro is the whole mood on gas prices right now

You guys spent almost the whole video trashing both cars with no real test other than ridicule. I clicked on the video baited to see these monsters in some real action yet all I saw was a continual roast off against both cars and their owners. These vehicles were made to be unique and monstrous, it may not be to everyone's liking but I don't think you guys gave their sheer engineering and capability abilities any credit. Since this video was recorded in Ontario, I'm assuming you guys are Canadian and that brings me extreme surprise as I usually encounter Canadians that mostly only spread kindness and positive vibes.
I don't care what they say, I want that mega raptor.
