Hey Guys, welcome back to another tutorial video going over EVERYTHING having to do with setting up your brand new GoXLR Mini. In this video we will go over the ins and outs of setting up your audio devices, a rundown of the GoXLR software, setting up Discord, setting up Spotify, and finally setting up a wireless headset as well!!! Dude! I was just about to box my XLR mini up and send it back because I use a Steelseries USB headset and couldn't figure out how to get it working. This video explained it perfectly and I can now put the Hyper X set I was using back on the Xbox. Thanks!!
This is the 4th setup vid that I watched and the other 3 had me pulling my hair out and it still wasn't setup correct. This video on the other hand had me up and running correctly by the end of the video, if I could I'd hug you lol.

For some reason I can still hear myself talk. I tried to uncheck mic in routing but I could still hear myself. It only seems to work when I uncheck Broadcast Stream Mix mic input, but I need that for streaming. Help? Also if this matters, I'm using a USB headset.

Dude this has really helped me I about went nuts with Banana. Question I stream with Twitch Studio Beta do you see an issue with it being compatible? Your stream answered three of my questions - background music and usb mic and wireless headphones. Great Video.
Yea I wouldn’t personally use anything other than obs studio is the least taxing on your machine as well as the easiest and most compatible BAR NONE

Phantom… awesome tutorial this was so helpful. I’ve been trying to get consistent audio and that was definitely the hardest part.
My only issue that I ran across was in the Sound Control Panel > Recording > Line In. I’m running a two PC stream setup, and that piece shows a red arrow going down-assuming it means it’s not enabled. For a two PC stream setup, is this ok?
such a big help had no idea how to set it up for my wireless headset although i have this humming noise basicly at all times do you have any idea what that could be or how to fix it
with further investigation i narrowed it down to the line in not sure if im using the wrong cable or what not but in audio settings i had to change the balance of line in to literaly 1 to not have the buzzing so loud is there any work around or have any suggestions because otherwise ill have to just get a wired headset wich i dispise tbh
Yes there is a work around…you need what’s called a ground loop isolator. The adapter is about 10 dollars on Amazon, I actually use it myself and that should alleviate the issue entirely. Hope this helps!

The problem I'm having is istream and everything for so long that the headset dies, and if I use another wireless headset it will have no sound, even if I set it up. Then you can't just switch to your speakers or a wired headset because it's not set up at all so you get no sound. I'm trying to figure out how to have it so I can just use my wired for now
I've watched this and everything works perfect, my one question is that i've got a set of Astro A40's and i don't know how to utilise the microphone on that anymore. When plugged into the headphone jack on the XLR no line in appears. I was wondering if these are basically nil and void now as i've purchased a dynamic mic because i was still hoping to hold onto them so i could still talk through the headset during a casual conversation on discord or something when i didnt want a dynamic mic all up in my face.

How would I use this only for the mic? I have an IFI Air dac/amp that I use for sound output (headphones). I don't want to use this as sound output to my headphones.

I'm glad you found the tutorial helpful! Have you tried adjusting the settings on your GoXLR to see if that helps with the glitchy music?
I'm having problem in discord when I play music my friends telling me the audio is cutting out ?
This helped me out tremendously. My only questions is, is there a way to have it to where on some scenes in obs I can have the mic and audio muted automatically. I had it set up originally with my mic as a separate thing and the desktop audio as another and only had those on the scenes that I wanted to use them on.
If you do not have a line in connection and only have a wired headset, I am only able to use Chat Mic as my default device on the recording tab in sound settings. any idea how to help with anymore info on that or would it only be 1 thing being used in the sound setting tab of recording

yes if you have the audio setup correctly the audience on your stream will be able to hear the discord audio

question I set my astro a50 with the goxlr and i did the Line In steps that you showed on this video. my question is when i go to liine in properties and then listen tab and Playback through this device do i need to select astro a50 game or a50 voice ?? I selected the Astro a50 game and i can listen through my a50 and i can control my headset volume with the goxlr and xlr mic is working. is the astro a50 game was the right choice on the line in properties ?? sorry for all the confusion

What should I do if I don’t have source section near the faders. Because I want to assign my game sounds to the game source in GoXLR but I can’t select it, because I don’t have such section. I mean, wtf
so i set it up into stream labs and wasnt thinking and imported my settings from obs and now the stream mix isnt there in the mixer and im super confused
I'm looking at getting a goxlr mini for my stream soon and been watching so many videos on how to set it up the way I want it.
Can you set the mini up so I can have my astro a40 headset to hear game play and chat and then have a microphone to talk to my stream but have stream still hear all game play and chat as well.
Im looking at this way so I can mute game chat quickly and just talk to stream chat without disturbing my teams mates that are still in game play while im talking to stream

When I play valorant or call of duty it doesn’t pick up my mic I still can’t find out why and no one has ever made a video for it
For some reason, using your settings my microphone is being router back through my chat mix, and coming back in to my broadcast mix with a delay. So it's basically echoing itself. If I mute the chat line, it goes away. Any idea?
Is it possible to not have to use the front headphone port for a 3.5mm pair of headphones? I want to avoid having to use the front ports as it doesn’t suit my cable management, I tried the audio out port in the back of the mixer but the headphones didn’t get very loud
this audio stuff not working for me like are you having your headset pluged into your go xlr mini or no cause im using it into the usb thing to use my software thats into my pc cause im using the corsair void elite
your threshold info is wrong i set it to 0db an it picks up the controller sound an same as if i set it to -28db it made no difference.
with this set up what do you put your audio settings on for call of duty?!
I set my settings in the game itself or through my Logitech headset

Hey man, nice video. I was wondering have you ever encountered buzzing sounds through the GOLXR mic. I have a dynamic mic and it seems to be hissing / Buzzing all the time. Would you have any ideas on how to fix this? Cheers
Yea it has to do with the feed back from the unit…there’s something known as ground cable that can fix it
Turn the attenuation down in your mic settings to about 36%. Try that before buying parts you may not need.
i still need help
Okay so the problem im having is with music. Say i set itunes for example. Its output is set to music for the music slider and when i do so it doesnt control the volume for itunes for some reason. I checked this with something else like my browser. I set output of browser to music for music slider and it works. Any idea why this wouldnt work with itunes?
Hey there! That's a strange problem. Have you tried updating iTunes or checking for any settings that might be causing this?

Hey, have you attempted moving the mic further away from the keyboard? That might help!
Can you EQ the game audio (not microphone) within the software or do I need something like equalizer apo etc. Also does this have loudness equalization?
You can definitely tweak the game audio within the software, no need to bring in the heavy artillery like Equalizer APO. And yes, loudness equalization is on the menu!

Can anyone help me? I have a GoXLR Mini with a Rode Podmic connected to it, and no matter what I do, or what settings I find on the Internet, my microphone is always quieter than the game volume. My gain is set to 60db with 5db of makeup gain. I mainly use this thing for recording gameplay. One video I found was to find the "absolute volume" or whatever it's called, so I did that, and it's still quiet. Please help!

Nope, I have a brand new green screen setup I use for my videos with a dedicated DSLR camera. All things considered though with the right lighting and if you have the right equipment Nvidia Broadcast is a great alternative!

So my question is how do you separate music? Like when streaming, your music will be playing for the viewers at an already set volume but you can adjust the music volume separately that you hear in your headset so you can listen to the same music only difference would be that you can control how loud it can be in your headset. But how exactly do you do that?
I don't know that there is a simple solution to your question.
There could be a workaround by using a virtual channel just to control the music volume you want for your self. To be honest I think there are limitations with the Mini and a regular audio mixer could do all of this on separate channels pretty easily. Try it out and see if you can setup a virtual channel on the Mini.
there is a way to throw the music on a separate channel. Join my discord and I should be able to walk you through it if you're still having trouble

Your settings are okay but I can't hear the music from spotify!!!! Do i have to add the music audio in Streamlabs under Desktop Audio? What about Discord Chat Audio?

Go to sound on your start menu, and to advanced sound options and change the top drop down menu to music
@@PhantomStiltz I have done that..... works fine until I open OBS and then the volume slide down doesn't work. Have to use music and system slide at the same time to turn down the volume. Only happens when I open OBS and don't know how to resolve it

Hey man, nice tutorial. I have a question abkut crossplay. Im playing with my friends on Warzone, me on PC and they on console. While im streaming, im talking to my viewers, but when i talk to my viewers my team hears it also, is there a way to mute them for a second and do a little chat with my viewers without annoying my teammates? What program are you using for your communication with your teammates first and foremost?
Mute the Chat channel
yep go to you go xlr then go to the mixer tab in the sources category whatever channel you have mic on. switch the mic source in the mute category to mute to chat mic. now when you hit the mute button on your mic on your go xlr it will mute to your teammates while allowing you to talk to chat. once you unmute it your chat and teammates will be able to hear you again . easy peasy
does this have game eq settings? like for say warzone to adjust things like footsteps?
Nah this more or less a mixer for sound. If you had say a Logitech headset you could set a dedicated profile for that you can find through the Logitech hub but not through the GoXLR itself

Yea you can monitor it within the software when you set up the microphone

Man i am so damn confused on the simplest thing...how in the blue titty hell do i get the software opened like in all these videos...all i get is a tiny basic looking window that is a basic window that looks like its just a regular sound window in Windows 11...like ive been googling for hours and i jsut dont get..i plugged it in, drivers installed, restarted and like stuff works on it, got my audio routed through sound panel in windows but then when i got to part for software...all it brings up is jsut a basic looking windows panel....am i brain farting or something?
