The Vengeance MK II: Rebuild. No unwanted ladders, new habs, new weapons, more cargo, new style.

- This is a redesign of my 1st build video, the Vengeance.
This is a Class C Ship, utilizing the Cabot C4 Bridge as the main portion of this build.
The original build had an auto generated ladder appear between the entry point and the upper floor. This build removes that ladder using a glitch trick (credit to DeLindsay Gaming for this trick: / @delindsay )
Note: There is still part of a ladder in this build, as the ship dockers autogenerate ladders as part of their design. There is no current way to remove this.
This was by far the easiest explanation to get me though my first ship. I was so lost and confused on what to do and how. Thank you so much!!
Glad it helped! Check out some of my other builds for some different designs or manufacturer specific builds.
I've watched dozens of Starfield build videos, and yours have to be the clearest and easiest to follow. Thank you for putting in so much time and effort.
Thank you for your kind words.
XBOX TIP
I built this ship on my XBOX console and really like it.
The glitch fix described in this video works on XBOX by holding the B button and selecting the variant or flip.
Happy building!
Awesome! So the "B" button is the equivalent to the left mouse button. Got it.
Other glitch on xbox that often works is to place the peice you want above below or next the spot it will not allow, provided you cam place it in a nearby space. Duplicate the part sometimes it will place where you want. Trial and error. But using this I have able to place 8 weapons on a nova weapon mount, that only has 6 places and normally you can only use 3 or 4 depending on the weapons..
Thanks I was so lost
Great job!!! I know this is 8 months old but it's still a great build! It took me about an hour to build by following your video. I couldn't use some of the parts because my ship build wasn't level 4 yet but once I get there I'll change them out. Also, I couldn't use the glitch to cover weapons because I'm on console and they probably patched that by now but it still looks good. I like how much cargo it can hold. Keep it up
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the video and build! The glitch was patched out, but should be patched back in. You have to turn on the "Flip Merge" option in the settings.
@@TeamScorpioRI okay do you know what the sequence is that you have to do to get to work like on computer you had to hold down the key didn’t flipped it and then release the key and press escape.
@@kryptonitegaming7552 It should be Grab and hold your left mouse button, put the piece where you want it, while holding the mouse button, flip the piece (keep flipping till its back to the original position) and then release the mouse button and hit escape (cancel).
It takes practice, but you will get it. Of course now I just use the Ship Building Tweaks mod. No need for flip merging with that.
Great design, and as others have said, you really went above and beyond with the shopping trip and excellent build directions. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Awesome 😎 I love it. I just acquired an Ecliptic Claymore III I’m going to be working on. Thanx for the info…I’m fairly new at building ships and having an absolute blast. Thanx again and have a great day and a better tomorrow ✌️
Right on! The Claymore is a beast of a ship (probably one of the best stock ships, IMO), but this will be an upgrade.
I have to say, one of my favorite parts of Starfield is building ships. I am not good at it, I rush too much. Your build is my favorite end game ship! With no doubt. I will have to try the Mark III now and see what that is like. Love it!!!!
The MKIII is definitely a step up from the MK2. The flow through the ship is better and all ladders have been removed (finally).
What an amazing build! Thanks for this tutorial. I had no idea that pieces could be flipped four times to get the proper orientation, which made me not bother building my own ships as it was too frustrating! So thanks for that. :)
This is the best ship building guide I have seen! Great job. I call the system Vol 2
Thank you! I appreciate it. I called it Vol 2 in my earlier videos and got roasted for it. #Vol2Crew
There is some debate on reddit (shocking, right?) on how to pronounce it.
Loved the Vengence. It was my first real build following your design. Then I was looking at it and thought ‘she’s a bit boring looking’ after a few days so I went back in to trick her out a bit after learning some more along the way. It ended up close to your Mk II but not all the way there so now I have another project for the weekend. Thanks for the great vids.
Great to hear! Hope you enjoy this upgrade! At least this time you can color the entire ship!
@@TeamScorpioRI I think it was the wedges up top that ended up ‘annoying’ me the most. It flew and fought great and the cargo was totally fine too. After doing this ship I set myself the task of flying to each manufacturer and making a ship where I can only use their parts. It taught me a lot
Fun build to watch. I'll be starting my 3rd playthrough soon and this build is a must. Really love the smooth look, not aggressive looking, but has a punch.
Thank you! This one has been a work in progress for a while. Looking back, I would probably stick a few shielded cargo containers somewhere....
@@TeamScorpioRI Thanks for the reply. This ship has a Star Trek feel to it. Smooth elegant in design. I really like how the weapons are hidden. This will be my next ship design. BTW, I do like your other builds. Some more aggressive. I'll build those too, but this is the one I want as an everyday driver. The bridge is sick with the stairs btw.
@@NotThatBob this is my daily as well. It's a good ship, for sure. The hidden weapons came from my Raider build (which is another favorite of mine)
At least one person beat me to it. But I'll say it again. This is the most clear and easiest to follow builds I've watched and I've watched a LoOOoOT of them.
Thank you! Glad you liked it. Be sure to check out my other builds.
Hell my favorite ship builder posted again….. and I personally pronounce it
Vo-Lee. That is such a cool ship
FYI.. Your "Deimos Only Battleship" challenge build you talked about on my other video is coming up next. :-)
@@TeamScorpioRI thank you so much bro I keep waiting for you to post. This is become one of my favorite channels by far that pertains to Starfield.
Will be giving this a go loved and still using the vengeance. I pronounce it VOL2 😁. Great work looking forward to your next creation 😁👍
Thanks! This one is a bit of an upgrade for sure. #Vol2Crew
With magazines and a few maxed out skills, you can shave fuel down to 210/33mass, add 190 shielded cargo, knock 3 cargo modules down to I think 1200/250 mass, swap the 2 space rectangular caps for the curved ones, drop down to the j51 grav, overhaul the weapons, add an infirmary which also does research and you still come out with 74 mobility on 6330 engines and just over 14k in cargo capacity. Love the shape and the hab layout. Almost makes me wanna delay jumping from ng4 to ng5. Damn nicely done! My hat’s off to you sir!
I do have a good amount of the magazines, and most my ship skills are maxed. Fuel and mass is definitely something I need to watch. I normally just go with the 900t in all my builds, but I know there are better fuel to mass ratio modules out there. For the shielded cargo, I rarely use those as I don't carry much contra-ban (and if I do pick up some.. I just stop over at The Den and sell it). I have been toying with moving away from the 6330's. They are great for the big ships, but there are some Class B engines I really want to try.
Jump to NG5, grab the Mantis ship, and use that as a basis for this ship in NG5. You will then get the bonus of having pirates scared of you! lol
Great video Take the time to show your viewers a trick or two that helps when starting a build. Subscribed
Thanks for the sub!
Dude, Im an instant fan. Ive built a few Cabot based ships and this is the best layout so far. My only change was to swap the computer room and Capt quarters. Good job 🎉
Thank you! Glad you liked the ship.
Thank You Thank You Thank You 🙏🏾
This build is perfect for me, I like 3 way build of Firepower/crew and cargo and this is good 👍🏾
Rnk 134/11 crew/2560 shield/4775 mass/15160 cargo
Your instructions were excellent and slow enough for me to get! 😆 just remember to add the Xbox buttons for any glitches. I had to get those instructions from the comments.
Overall AWESOME JOB!!!!!!
Gonna swing by red Mile and get my scan hammer and shielded cargo and I’m good!!!!
Thank you! Glad you like the ship! I am working on adding Xbox commands to glitches (next video I review how to glitch before the build, with both PC and Xbox commands)
Sweet build, I pronounce it the same way Walter Stroud does in game.... vol-eye
Perfect interior build. I like the layout
Glad you like it!
I went the route of using the hopetech spine and 2 braces placing the habs in a T shape. I really liked the inside layout but I didn't use any 2x2 habs. I used 6- sal 6830's and max cargo out with 100 mobility.
Those 6830's do make a huge difference vs the 6330's.
There are a few mods out there that on Nexus that greatly enhance ship building. I can't post links as RUclips frequently removes those from comments. But the mod called "Place Doors Yourself". This mod closes all door and ladder ports on all Habs and you literally have to place a door or a ladder yourself. It goes against connector that you choose. No other ladders or doors are placed.
It gives you complete control of all connections between Habs.
I have been wanting to try some mods, but generally I keep my builds to the base game. Part of me really wants to do a huge monster ship using mods... but I know once I start building those, I'll never go back. lol
I use that mod and it works as advertised. Fantastic for controlling flow through the ship!
I use that mod along with Habz, as that has a bunch of 1x1hab variants that you can use to make ships a bit smaller, etc.
A couple other good building mods are No Reactor Limit, No Engine power Limits, Ultimate Shipyards Unlocked.
Those allow more than one reactor (so you can get more power), more than 12 power doe engines (so you need more reactors for more power). And the shipyard one puts all parts in all shipyards, including your outpost .. so you don't have to dly all over the place to gather parts (everything's available everywhere)
Damn fine ship sir, I will definitely be building this puppy when I hit 60 😁
Thank you! I hope it lives up to the hype for you
Throwing down a comment. Just built this ship and its amazing. Super immersive and feels like a lived in ship with all the habs.
Only thing I changed was I did suppressors as the 3rd weapon so I could disable and board ships.
I was able to build it at level 35 youll just have to gradually upgrade the grav and reactor as you level up.
Glad you like the ship. Suppressors as your 3rd weapon are a good choice, though if you have the targeting skill they are not needed (you can enter targeting mode and take out specific parts of the ship like engines and shields).
@@TeamScorpioRI Sometimes it hits with such ferocity that the other ships dont survive the targeting 😂
Nice ship build! Thanks!
Glad you like it!
Yes! That's a great looking ship! The only changes I made were to add a portal to the back of the Living Quarters, glitched the Grav drive in behind it, then fuel, and then the reactor. This allows me to see the Armillary inside the grave drive after I rebuild it when I board the ship the first time. I can't remember who on RUclips taught us that trick... Edit: It appears I need to rebuild the Armillary each time I access/edit the ship in the builder.
Oh nice! I like that idea. I think ShipTechnician showed that trick in a few on his videos. I haven't tried it yet. I am hoping the next update, which according to Bethesda is focused on Ship Building, will add some other good features for our ships. Maybe I will do an MK III version :-)
connect-pro docker is a door (no ladder) & it goes on a side or the front or back of your ship! try it out if you want a docker that doesn't have a ladder
I tried a version with that docker. I had the bay on one side of the hab and the docker on the other. The issue was nothing can stick past the docker at all, so the ship profile was very narrow and blocky. I tried to make that work, but just couldn't find a design I actually liked.
I known that your builds guides are mod-less but for those with nods, there's a mod on nexus that allows the outposts shipbuilder to have *all* pieces. You just have to have the money and requisites to install and use them. This makes the pre build jumps to get all unique components unnecessary.
True. There is a mod that lets you have all the parts at the outpost. It is handy for those that can (and want to) install it..... Sorry Xbox.
you can get a side docker... would negate the docker ladder. could add it to one of the wings, won't look pretty but would be functional
I did this with my MKIII version of this ship and got it completely ladderless. Unfortunately with the last patch, Bethesda patched out the flip glitch method, so you now need a mod like "Ship Parts Blending Enabled" or "Ship Building Tweaks". to build this ship.
Those captain quarters do have a couch, coffee machine and bathroom at the other end. It's a shame we can't flip them around and choose what get gutted from the doors placement as I'd rather have the lounge space in my quarters instead of the nav console.
I'd love to see an update where we can customize the interiors of the ships. The process is there with the apartments, just make it the same for Habs on a ship. This way we can have a "Blank 2x1" hab (or 2x2, 2x3, 3x1.. whichever configuration you want) and then customize it to how we want.
another great build! 🍻
VOLII system: As a fan of Turn-Based RPGs, and those from Square-Enix specifically, I just call it Vol-2. 😝
I was calling it Vol 2 as well. As a Dungeons and Dragons Online fan, there is a deity that I encounter in that game called Vol. So my brain just immediately associated that word as VOL-II.
Hey, thanks for your help that worked
No problem, glad you got it working!
Vol-eye. That's what the locals call it and I'd trust them ahead of people stuck back on Earth in the 2020s. The easiest place to hear that pronunciation is on the Neon concourse from the ads.
I'll have to go listen to that. I usually tune those out while I am running around there. There is a sizeable reddit thread on the pronunciation of this.
You can still connect a hab on the front starboard side with the pool table being removed but it still looks bad with the door so close with barely any walk room. 12:58
Imagine having mini games like darts, poker, pool with the crew from the ship. Each ship compartment to have a function you can do.
We can dream right? 😞
The battle station should always go right behind the ships hull where the pilots commandeer the ship.
Good point. So to do that and keep the shape (and my pool table), you would put the battle station where the nova galactic living quarters is (connected to the control station).. then swap the captians quarters and the computer core to where the battle station was (right side) and the living quarters would go on the left side. That could definitely work. Thanks for the tip.
you can use a port or starboard docking bay! its not the most pretty, but no ladders.
Tried that originally. Only problem with that is nothing can stick out past the docking bay. So you lose the whole shape of the ship. It becomes one long straight line.
Are you aware that you can stack those class C engines into each other and make one large engine from 2 which still gives you the power of the 2? You only need a stack of 3 attachment points. Install the first engine on the bottom two points of attachment, then use the duplicate function while the cursor is on the rear top section of the engine and presto.....the engine will install above while interconnecting with the first one. I was amazed when I discovered this. It's not a glitch. They are meant to do that.
I am actually doing that for the V3 version of this ship, which I should have a video for that coming out this Friday. I just discovered that technique as well. Its not just limited to those engines, however. You can do it with Fuel tanks as well. Really any 2 space piece that can be copied. You can even do it with side mounted engines as well (I tried it with the supernova engines)
Built this and it’s my go to ship. Tried to improve upon it but the habs don’t play nice together so I just worked on some shielded cargo given I deal in body parts now.
Adding some shielded cargo is a great upgrade. I usually just head to The Den in between loot runs. No scans there.
@@TeamScorpioRII sometimes forget what I have onboard (or what my companions drag in) so this is a little bit of insurance. I don't recommend siding with the CF unless you plan to play though again. The companions don't have a mute button. Ok Sarah, shut up already.😁 So I'm building your ship again on play through 3 once I get enough coin.
@@RB-xj4fg We definitely need a mute button for companions. Sadly, the Constellation members are the best companions, especially for ships. They are also the most annoying
@@TeamScorpioRI i got a mod that makes all constellation members space suits turn into republic commando Armour and they still talk alot but something about seeing a RC commando talk to you is pure gold and makes them less annoying
I'm surprised you don't use the Vanguard bubble shield. Lower profile and the stats are pretty dang good (Class B, 1450 health, 6% regen, 12 power). There's 1 shield with higher shield capacity but slower recharge (Assurance SG-1800, Class C, 1600 Health, 5% regen), and another with both higher capacity and regen rate but is side mounting (28T Defender, Class B, 1500 health, 7% regen)
I feel that overall the Vanguard is the better choice of shield because higher regen and side mounting bubbles suck.
I could have sworn for this version that I used the Assurance SG-1800 (at least that is what I have on my parts list). That has the best health for a shield. I do use the Vanguard shield and the 28t in builds as well, depending on what I need. The 28t is a great option if you want to hide the shield. Since it's flippable, you can glitch it into other parts.
U could use a side docker to eliminate the docking ladder...might not look as good though
I tried that. I was originally going to go with the side docker on one side of the armory, and the bay on the other side. It flowed nicely, but you could not extend any structures beyond the docker.. which meant the ship was just long and skinny. I could not get it to where I had a design I liked while using it.
I've seen a build where the designer (can't remember who, sadly) mounted the side docker on a HopeTech Hab Cross Brace, to push it further away from the side of the ship. I thought it a clever idea; one I've used successfully on my own builds.@@TeamScorpioRI
Not a bad idea. The other thing I was toying with was having the side docker on one of the rear habs that are on the wings of the ship. That might also work with this design.
I think Hopetech? Do a side mounted docker. That'd be your alternative in order to have 0 signs of a ladder. But I consider this a *no-ladder* build 100%.
Wanting to remove that little half is just pedantic lol.
I tried a design with the side docker (basically the landing bay on one side of the hab, and the side docker on the other). The problem was the rest of the ship couldn't be any wider than the docker. I just couldn't find a configuration that way that I liked.
Bethesda should make all this side caps as storage too, at least as an option for us. In real space ships (future) we won't waste this spaces :).
There is a cargo hold that is a similar shape as the side caps. The downside is it adds a ton of weight to the ship and kills the maneuverability.... Unless you have the Darkstar Mod.
Cool ship. Might have to give it a go sometime. Great tutorial.
Just a comment on the game itself and the choices the devs made. Never understood why some pieces are flippable (front to back, and side to side) but others aren't. Like the Stroud pieces @20:45... Why do the 1x1 versions flip every direction but the same elongated 3x1 don't flip upside down? Blows my mind that I have to use 3 of the 1x1 to cover the bottom.
Agreed. Every piece should be flippable in every direction. There are some great pieces that would be even better if they could be rotated like the Stroud Cap A's
@@TeamScorpioRI exactly with the case of the Stroud pieces. Don't understand why there's even a Cap C when the Cap B could just be flippable and have a variant change like the Cap A. Stupid decision on Bethesda's part. But oh well, we're stuck with it "as is" for now, until a DLC change or mod (I'm on Xbox so still can't use any yet).
I say it "Vole-ee", but that's also how it's pronounced by the Hotel Volii recording.
You should modify the razor leaf for the extra encounters
The Razer Leaf is a great choice for any custom ship build.
It seems like it would be such an easy fix for them to add a blanking plate to eliminate ladders
My wish is to have a toggle for hookpoints on habs. So you can toggle them on or off to assign ladders and doors to specific connections.... that and blank habs that we can customize ourselves.
You mentioned you wish you could replaces some furnishings. Well... now we can. Will there be a 3rd video with your own décor?
I am actually working on that right now, but with another ship design (my Celestial Saber build). I may do this one as well, since this is my most popular builds.
It's a little freaky on XBOX because when you use the glitch fix, the whole ship disappears for a half second, but then it's back with your component in place.
It does that on PC too, but very quickly. If it had a longer pause I would definitely freak out a little.
Anyone know what part you needed to be like level 53 or 54 to buy? I'm at 55 finally and I want to go back and replace the inferior part I bought with the recommended one. But now I can't figure out what part it was.
I think the reactor was a level 60 part, so I can't get it yet, but I know there was one other part and now I want to replace it...
Maybe sheild generator or grav drive? I think the grav drive need a to be level 54 to buy.
It was the grav drive.
You know for some of these ladder/door issues the problem isn't with the game but with how people try to build them. If you open the item menu with "g" while your mouse hovers over the entrance that you want to use the game will try to place each item by connecting it's default connection point with the one you have selected.
Good point. The only problem is if you want the hab layout to go in a certain shape, it will not always drop doors an ladders where you want them. It would be nice if we could select a hookpoint that is between to habs and mark it as "door/ladder goes here" or something like that.
@@TeamScorpioRI Yeah I did write to them with an idea that uses the levels of starship design to allow us to tinker with habs and layouts. My idea being that at level 1 you can select which hatches are active on a hab after building (like using the outpost editor and toggling window designs). Level 2 would allow you to move the beds/large furniture around in a hab level 3 would allow you to turn habs (and only habs) 90 degrees at a time, and level 4 would allow you to order custom habs that you can select the size and layout for based on the habs that company sells.
I think the last level would be a fantastic credits sink if each custom hab square were to cost, say 50K, because I would certainly be flying in a ship with millions of credits worth of custom habs.
Another idea I suggested was to have a 1x1x2 stairwell (up/down stacked 1x1) and a 1x2x2 staircase.
I suspect though that any changes like this will be a long time in the making though.
@@aaronwebb7090 I fully support all of those!!!
nice build
Thanks!
Excuse me, I do the same as your build, and why my mass and mobility is higher than yours? Its 84 mobility and 4776 mass. Is it alright? Thanks 😊
Most likely you used the SAL6830 engines vs the 6330's that I used in this video. I didn't have access to them at the time when build this. I did upgrade them later and it brought be up to that mobility.
FYI, I am working on a V3 of this ship now with the new custom habs. 91 Mobility, better weapons, and "technically" more cargo space (plus added shielded cargo). Should be dropping this coming Friday.
@@TeamScorpioRI can't wait !!! Thank you in advance 🙂
Pronunciation would be anyone's guess. If it's "English" then Vol-eye is most likely correct. If it's Galatic Standard then it could be wall-e or Harry for that matter:)
Apparently its Vol-Lie, at least according to characters in the game.
I thought it was VOL 2. Because there's the VOL system I thought it was a second version.
I thought the same at first. Apparently I was wrong.
I have a no latter build with this bridge as well. Would like to make and actual build video that's longer then 4min. I thought if I added the external xbox 2t memory card it would let me record longer but it seems to not let me in the settings.
I checked out your Mantis build. I like how you glitched the landers and engines together to retain the shape... As far as recording from Xbox, not sure what you need to do there. Usually I see people stream from the Xbox to a computer via a video capture card. Not 100% sure, though. I am on PC, so I just use OBS to capture.
I really wanted to incorporate the side docker on this build, that would fully eliminate all ladders. But the builder won't let you build past the docker, so the ship ended up being very long and skinny.
@TeamScorpioRI that is the down fall to the side docker I've seen people use it on builds that have the cab and bay closer to one side of the ship vs centering them. I haven't done a build like that yet but the side docker makes since for them.
@TeamScorpioRI lol thanks I glitched a good bit on that build to keep in the shape I was going for I still feel the legs wasn't far enough forward for realism even though the game dont care.
Thank you tho.
I say “voe-lie”
replace the bottom docker with a side docker like the side landing bay and i belive the stair issues will be solved ...without mods
I actually tried that as part of my original redesign. I had the side landing bay on one side like it is, and directly on the otherside I had the side docker. And It was perfect.... except that you could not put any piece on the ship beyond the side docker.. Which made the ship one straight line. So I ended up losing the whole back half of the ship. I tried to make it work, but could not find a configuration that I liked. One of these days I am going to get that perfect....
@@TeamScorpioRI replacing the habs near the engines (on the wider part) might solve the issue but that being said it cames to your preferences and if you are willing to sacrifice interior design over to functionality.
I think I did try that. If I remember correctly, the original configuration I was working with had more of a U shape to the habs at the back (wrapping around the drive section). But even then, putting anything on the side of the ship caused the error. Its seems the top/bottom dockers have more forgiveness to the placing of pieces than a side docker. I may still try and play around with something. Maybe when I do my Nova Only build.
Nice build guide =] Isn't it Vol 2? I thought the 2 ii's were meant to be roman numerals lol
Apparently not! I am glad I am not the only one who thought that. #Vol2Crew
What armor/clothing is your character wearing and where can I get it?? It's awesome and I haven't seen it before. Thanks!
oO( also, u gained a new sub )
That is the stealth armor from the Ryujin questline. Its not an exterior suit, so you have to have to option to "hide spacesuits on planets" turned on. Thanks for the sub!
It's not "VOLIE" or any of the above. It's VOL-II (2)
That's what I thought at first too.. but characters in game refer to it as Vol-LIE.
N ice a clear instructions and nice ship but (there's always a "but") the glitching doesn't seem to work any more. When you get to the stage to hit "ESC" it just puts the parts back in the build area and not attached ....
There is a new option to enable that in the game. This was added with the last patch. Its under the game menu and it's under "Controls". It should be "Flip Merge Enabled".
@@TeamScorpioRI Thanks, I didn't know about that setting; back to the ship building I guess; shame it's not possible to save a part ship build.
What with the blurred part at 8:52? Also, I’m pretty sure it’s pronounced Voll-ee serveral times in the game.
It was a part that I forgot to remove that wasn't needed. Found it after I uploaded the video, so I couldn't go back and change it. Only option from the built in youtube editor was to blur it.
@@TeamScorpioRI yeah that’s what i thought
In your parts list you have two J-52 Gamma Grav Drive. And the Volii System is pronounced as Vol-eye.
Thanks for the info. Applying a blur to one of those. First time using the editor in RUclips so hopefully it comes out correctly.
Regarding the pronounciation: almost everything related to stars/ solar systems should be pronounced with a latin pronounciation in mind, since latin was what has been used when naming stuff back then (Aquarius, Sagittarius, Cassiopeia, Ursa Major for Polaris/the Northern Star, Ursa Minor (( the big and small dipper))...).
So Volii would be a sharp W and the two "i"'s should be seperate and pronounced like the "e" in me. So Vol-e-e. (Me is not a native english speaker, but I hope you get what I'm trying to say...)
This is the rational I saw online, where it should be the Latin pronunciation. In game, both Walter Stroud and local residents of the planet pronounce it "Vol-LIE". It is probably one of those places where the pronunciation is different than what is should be. We have a city around here like that.. Spelled Worchester.. should be "wOr-Chest-er".. but its actually pronounced "wUs-Ster".
@@TeamScorpioRI Yeah...it's like that in real life and in computergames, ask three people and you get four different answers, Worchester being one exemption... remember Fallout 3 and the multitude of pronounciations for Caesar? Or the many ways english speakers pronounce german car brands?
I am level 199 and level 4 ship builder, but I can not find the Stroud Cowling 1LB PT's or Stroud Cowling 3LB PT's, I only have the A versions of them. Are the B's connected to a storyline/quest?
Nope, they are not connected to the story, they are the variation form of the 1LA and 3LA pieces. Select the 1LA-PT, and there will be an option at the bottom to change the variant (left and right arrows on PC, should be similar on xbox). Same technique when selecting the different habs.
FYI: you only need the 1LB-PT's.. for the others use the 3LA-PT's. That's my mistake and a mis-type in the video.
@@flemmingsen Weird, as I am on PC and you can see me do it in the video
Seriously I thought it was the Vol 2 system until now.
So did I. That is how I pronounced it in my first bunch of videos. Apparently it's Vol-LIE. #Vol2Crew
According to the devs... not to mention npcs that say it in the game, it's pronounced.. VOHL (as in "NO") - eye (as in EYEball)... VOHL'eye.
I'm thinking the glitch has been patched out. I'm doing what you're saying and variations thereof, but it's not working.
Unfortunately it has been patched. The most recent patch for Starfield rendered these techniques invalid. You can still blend parts, but you need the Ship Building Tweaks Mod to do it. Its downloadable for free off the creation store.
I personally prefer the hope tech hab interiors. They seem more cozy.
Hopetech definitely has that "lived in" look to them. I really like their mess hall. That little tv room is just cool.
landing gear is also plural
not gears

excellent tutorial
thx

Yes, you are right. I'll make sure to correct that in future videos.
Hmmm ... make sure that you do Dusty, make sure that you do.
:p

Tough crowd. ;)
I wish I could float inside ships to move around.
Turning off gravity would be an interesting idea.. Though they put so much crap in the ship modules, it would just be Chunk packages and random notepads and pens everywhere!
@@TeamScorpioRIyou are absolultly right. The first thing I always do the moment all the crap spawns is to pick up everything and sell 'em at the first Trade Authority Kiosk. Then you have Sarah bitching about recycled air.
They really need to move the "apartment customization" feature to the ships. On my first playthough, I got that awesome apartment on New Atlantis... and never used it. But we are on our ships constantly. Let us customize the habs there! Give us "Blank" hab configurations to customize. I would love to take a 3x3 and make that the living quarters, or have a 2x3 captains quarters. It would open up ship building so much
@@TeamScorpioRIYeah, but first we need some layout saving because everything reverts back to default even if you change the paint of the ship. I would love to save a template layout of the changes I've made. So many things that this game needs, luckly most things you can change with console commands.
I pronounce that system as VO-Lee
Excellent build, I made a few changes to it. I can't find the gamma grav drive anywhere. Is it level locked?
Yes, it is. You need to be level 54 and have your starship design at level 4 to access it. Most other class C drives should work though. The SGD 3300 Grav Drive would be a good alternative.
The ladders are a mess one time I actually fell down a ladder and broke my ankle. On my own fricken ship!!!!
I did that on my "Strongbow" build, which has an extra long ladder leading from the landing bay to the bridge (6 levels), At least it wasn't death.
NO bathrooms. The developers have an issue with so many HABitats with no bathrooms.
You can always pee out the airlock! lol... The Living Quarters Habs usually have bathrooms on them. They are really small though, like ones you find in an RV. I have moved to building my own bathrooms with a combination of empty habs and mods (mods that add more decoration pieces to the builder).
Check out my Ryujin build for ideas on that.
Volii is a latin word pronounced "Voe-Lee" ... means want or desire
This is accurate, same Latin root still in use in Italian and Portuguese for want/desire, and the root of Volunteer in English.
Do those rear facing cannons actually shoot rearward or is that just a glitch to get them into position? If so, then how do you fire them rearward? Is that what the battle station and computer is for, do the crew take control of those, or am I dreaming?
Rear facing cannons do target enemies who are behind you. They can rotate as well, but I am not sure to what degree. Unfortunately the battle stations do nothing but add crew spots to the ship. I really wish it added other bonuses... but that is a topic for another video.
Wow, that was a great tutorial. Only wish I had enough time to play long enough to get it done before it goes off the Xbox game pass😢.
They are dropping it from GamePass? That's a dumb move by them.
I could I build this on Xbox ? Or is just a pc thing with mods ?
You can absolutely build this on xBox. I don't use mods in my videos. You do have to glitch a few pieces in place (I used it to hide the weapons in the wing pods). Its an easy task to do and I explain the process in the video. Just need to translate the commands to xBox ("flip piece" and "cancel")
Nice :)
I am ashamed to say for a long time I thought that system was called Vol 11 ooops
Now that is a new one!
I mean I always assumed it was Vol-Two.....Roman numerals and all
So did I... Apparently its Vol-LIE (at least that is how Walter Stroud pronounces it in game)
I followed this to a tee, but jump range is only 26, not 30 like it shows?!?!
Do you have Sarah Morgan assigned as a crew member? She will reduce fuel cost, which will increase jump range.
Once, I heard someone saying Vol Two...
Guilty as charged #Vol2Crew
Ive heard characters in game say it Voh - Lie
I was going through the "All that money can buy" mission and that is how Walter says it. So I will probably switch to that going forward.
@TeamScorpioRI I just did that mission as well that must have been who said it, also recently did crimson fleet absolute power which takes place in neon , so it was likely said there as well.
Okay so I looked into the pronunciation a bit.
Likely one of two possibilities, depending on whether it's supposed to be Latin based, or not.
If so, then likely: Vōll-ee
Otherwise, could be: Vōll-eye
(This is what I prefer.)
*Whoever you heard saying Vol-e-eye is just a lunatic. ;) 😂
Kidding.
Could you post the stats for the ship?
Cargo: 13800
Hull: 1552
Shield: 2560
Weapons: 103, 158, 156
Crew: 11
Reactor: 40
Jump: 30 LY
Keep in mind, my Particle Beam Skill, Payload, and Shield are all rank 4, and my Engine System Skill is Rank 3. I also have Omari, Same Coe, Sarah, and Vasco on my crew. Your stats may differ depending on skill ranks and crew.
Vol-Eye is how I imagined it being pronounced. But my reading level is that of a third grader.
What helmet/suit is that in the intro?
Its the operator suit and helmet from the Ryujin questline
Really tickles the beanbag.....
Excuse me but what game is that if you dont mind sharing?
Starfield
@TeamScorpioRI thanks mate
I'm just using the mod on the door. This is a small price to pay for convenience
But . .. but how do you poop onboard the ship.? . . . Immersion broken . . . Lol
Stick your butt out the ship docker and let loose!
Okay something surely went wrong on my end cause I got 1 error saying modules aint connected but i followed your guide step by step
Edit: found it it was a stupid cowling even though it snapped the game though it wasnt connected so maybe I gotta double check things from now on more often haha maybe even triple check
Yeah, the ship builder can be fussy at times. I had one build where it kept detaching random modules for no reason. Easiest way to find the problem module is to just double click the whole ship and see what doesn't light up. Sometimes there is one stubborn piece in the whole build that doesn't want to play nice.
Glad you got it fixed.
@@TeamScorpioRI Yeah I learned that today lol I am not that good at building ships so finding this build was amazing but then a bit of glitches as well was certainly a learning curve
@@TeamScorpioRI I hate to ask but I use this ship for a crimson captain and made another character that is UC specifically Vanguard and SysDef. Do you have any ship builds that work great as a SysDef/Vanguard ship with plenty of habs to fit 8 crew (think mess hall with battle station and other amenities) and resemble like it has enough crew space for 8 people? I cant seem to come up with a nice idea for that lol
My Warchild build may fit that need. That is a full on battleship. My Jaeger build is a fun ship as well (all Deimos build). I'd check those out.
@@TeamScorpioRI Thanks I appreciate the response
But how does it hold up in combat?
Holds up just fine. Plenty of firepower to take down any standard ship. I even went against a legendary ship in it... granted I had to use a bunch of ship parts in that battle (you are not going toe to toe with one of those) but I walked away the victor.
@@TeamScorpioRI oh…I built it…it’s awesome. You did really well explaining in your video. Thanks!
So how much does it cost?
About $750k. This could differ depending on your commerce skills, or start with a different ship (that maybe has some of the parts you need already).
@@TeamScorpioRI Thanks
This will be a good. Upgrade to my smaller 3-engine. single level build.
Volii.. Interesting…. When I first saw it.. Read it as. “Vol-2”. Now Vol-eye
In my first few videos, I referred to it as Vol-2 as well (They looked like roman numerals to me) and got roasted in the comments. Took me a while to switch. #Vol2Crew
TeamScorpio there was no way to reply, but yes sound was still up just black screen
Thanks for the heads up. I deleted the old video and reposted. Something must have gone wrong when rendering it. This one should be good to go.
