    Do not leave the ACV on your hair, make sure to wash it out with cool water. But make it more of a quick and light rinse so the pH doesn’t increase by too much.

    Absolutely love and respect your knowledge on natural hair care. My daughter is 5, I notice that after every time I do a full wash on her hair there is still A lot of build up/ lent pieces through out her hair. I seriously don’t know what to do at this point? I’ve never seen anything like this before. It’s growing BUT wash day concerns me because it’s so much shedding and lent build up. I’ve switched products and still notice the same reaction. Any tips on what to do? Is this normal hair health?

    Hey GreenBeauty! First video ever and gotta say... I'M HOOKED! i'm just curious because my hair is also in faux locs at the moment and you said conditioner would't exactly be useful after washing in this protective style. Should I then use a hot oil treatment instead after shampooing my hair? if yes, is castor oil or coconut oil any good for a hot oil treatment because that's whats available for me at the moment.

  • @melodymelody3453

    I’m so grateful for all the knowledge. My biggest issue is what to use and when. Example: Onion rinse-shampoo-conditioner-AVC rinse? Do you skip conditioner ONLY when in protective style? And how much ACV to what parts water?

    • @GreenBeauty
      @GreenBeauty  6 лет назад +9

      It's best to rinse the ACV out with cool water. You are right the water will increase the pH again. It's more of a quick and light rinse so the pH will not increase by too much.

    @greenbeauty #greenbeauty #dreadlocs Can you do a video series on using the acv rinse with tea tree essential oil in dreadlocs with dread rot/mildew? PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE.can you also include some prevention measures like how to's/pros/cons of different drying methods and any precautions when dealing with wet dreads. There's also the nuances of the specific maturity of the locs and hair typing chart to consider.
    There's a lot if information on dreadloc care but none of those videos have your approach. Dreadloc care is natural hair care that too often gets over looked so people think it's soooo easy.
    Back story: My 9 year old son dreaded his mohawk. Considering all the showers, water parks & camp pool time, he's going to bed with wet hair often. Of course they started to mildew a little. He has a gaming channel so you can see his hair if you want. YT@ josh Samson, PS4 @ dodibadazz ... I'd hate to think about losing his hair after all this time. He can almost get it in a good ponytail!!

    Taking into consideration everything you said about how a ACV rinse closes the cuticle, would it be best to do it after one does a deep conditioning? I was thinking the cuticle should be closed after as the very LAST step. What's your take on this?? You are fantastic by the way, and I really respect everything you say. Your Green Beauty protein is INCREDIBLE!! I've purchased it from you on more than 1 occassion and it's made a HUGE difference in my hair!!

    • @SageDelinquent
      @SageDelinquent 6 лет назад +2

      J Fox she uses it, shampoos the hair (which opens up the cuticle) and THEN u can do conditioning or adding acv again, to close the cuticle, like she does. so. it doesnt matter. its also not a bad thinf if your cuticles were closed the whole time (which isnt possible)

    • @GreenBeauty
      @GreenBeauty  6 лет назад +14

      If you plan on doing an ACV rinse its best that you use it as your last step. So Shampoo --- Condition or Deep Condition --- ACV rinse

      @@GreenBeauty how long does ACV rinse stay on for? should it just be done on the scalp? To clarify, is the process: Shampoo, condition (leave for a few minutes), then ACV spray onto scalp and leave it for a few minutes then rinse? or is it ACV spray onto scalp and then onto the rest of hair and leave for a few minutes then rinse?

    • @GreenBeauty

    • @GreenBeauty

      Temperature does matter. The mother like a milder temperature on the warm side. If you are having problems making the mother, try leaving the apples in for an additional month or so.
