My parents aren’t super tech savvy and every extra step is an inconvenience. I would like to be able to set up a custom “status” such as Home_1 and Home_2 where home1 mutes notifications while home and home2 allows for notifications while home. Because as it stands there’s really no difference between Home and Away.
My notification snapshot seems to be a few seconds prior to the motion activity. My snapshot is just of my front porch and driveway and not of the actual motion event. How can I get it to send the snapshot a few seconds later so that I can see in the snapshot what is causing the motion event?

My husband leaves at the same time every morning and the notification wakes me up. Is there a way to set it to not notify you from let’s say 4:25-4:45am? I don’t want to turn it off all night so I don’t want to snooze it all night. And I don’t want to have to wake up to snooze it. The motion scheduling control allows you to schedule coverage to avoid receiving alerts triggered by a regular occurrence. For example, if you know your garbage always gets picked up between 7:30 AM and 7:45 AM on Tuesdays, you can schedule your motion detection to turn off during that time so that you only receive notifications outside this timeframe. One MAJOR disadvantage is that when a sensor is triggered there is no alert sent as a text message to phones....only email. For example, water/freeze sensor is triggered by a leaking water heater...user does not immediately get a text message on phone...only 12 hours later discovers the problem when reading emails.

I recently purchased a stick up battery camera. I have it on my counter right next to my door aiming towards my door. There’s no glare. I got it because I feed stray cats and I wanted to get notifications whenever an animal or something is at my back door. Unfortunately, I am not getting any notifications only whenever I walk by. The app has the sophistication to tell you if it's a person detected, the notification settings should also have this feature where I only get chime and notification when the AI detects a person, I still want it to detect motion and log those videos to the cloud but in terms of my phone notifications I only only only only want person detection alerts.

My parents aren’t super tech savvy and every extra step is an inconvenience. I would like to be able to set up a custom “status” such as Home_1 and Home_2 where home1 mutes notifications while home and home2 allows for notifications while home. Because as it stands there’s really no difference between Home and Away.

My husband leaves at the same time every morning and the notification wakes me up. Is there a way to set it to not notify you from let’s say 4:25-4:45am? The motion scheduling control allows you to schedule coverage to avoid receiving alerts triggered by a regular occurrence. One MAJOR disadvantage is that when a sensor is triggered there is no alert sent as a text message to phones....only email. For example, water/freeze sensor is triggered by a leaking water heater...user does not immediately get a text message on phone...only 12 hours later discovers the problem when reading emails.

I recently purchased a stick up battery camera. I have it on my counter right next to my door aiming towards my door. There’s no glare. I got it because I feed stray cats and I wanted to get notifications whenever an animal or something is at my back door. Unfortunately, I am not getting any notifications only whenever I walk by. The app has the sophistication to tell you if it's a person detected, the notification settings should also have this feature where I only get chime and notification when the AI detects a person, I still want it to detect motion and log those videos to the cloud but in terms of my phone notifications I only only only only want person detection alerts.

Can you get text notifications?
Hi Julie. At this time you won't receive notifications about your Ring Alarm via text. You will receive notifications within the Ring app, via email and depending on your Ring Protect Plan and location you will also receive a call from our monitoring center when your Ring Alarm is being triggered. This was helpful. The Neighborhood feature was driving me nuts, as it encompassed an area originally with about 150,000 people. I do not need to know every time someone in my city loses their cat. So, I was able to just adjust it to my block and the few surrounding. Much better
am I able to get notifications via email?

At this time, Ring Alerts and Motion Alerts are only available within the Ring app for your phone or tablet as a push notification. You will not be able to receive notifications via email. How to trigger a loud alarm sound on my phone when Ring Alarm is tripped?

When my Ring Alarm gets tripped, I get a notification on my mobile device. The problem is, it just sounds like a text message when it hits my phone. If I'm away from home, I might completely miss it.
I want to set it up so that no matter what state my phone is set to, it overrides everything and blares a loud, unique sound... like an amber alert

I find the notifications incredibly unreliable. The bell sound works for an hour and then not the rest of the day? (nothing to do with WIFI)

I am a new user, enjoying the 30 day complimentary trial. I find the event history a very good log of motion events that happened with the short video clip. May I ask after the 30 day trial, do I have to subscribe to continue this function? Or is it included in free membership category?
