#SheHulk #EasterEggs #Marvel
This episode open with a first when Jen says “previously on my show” as opposed to “previously on She-Hulk” like in prior episodes. If you remember last week, Jen had this to say when the Wrecker showed up. [clip]
So perhaps Jen is now taking a more hands on approach in the “previously on segment.” And the irritated tone in her voice could be due to her knowing this one doesn’t end well. [clip, Ruffalo interview “like most Marvel movies, this one doesn’t end well for the superheroes.”]
Cut to our first scene of the series with Vincent Patillo’s Leapfrog, kind of. We actually got a glimpse of him here in She-Hulk episode 5 picking up his costume from Luke Jacobson.
In that same episode we also got our first Daredevil tease. [clip, mask]
It’s fitting that Daredevil and Leapfrog be introduced in the same episode. Afterall, Leapfrog’s first appearance was in Daredevil #25 in 1966.
Leapfrog, also known as Frog Man, is a “villain” in the comics who has gone up against Daredevil, The Defenders, Iron Man, and Spider-Man. The MCU made a good choice in portraying him as a bit of a joke because, well, he is.
Now like I mentioned, Leapfrog got his suit from Luke Jacobson. And after his rocket launchers caught him on fire [clip]
And by the way, the sound of his failing boots [clip]. Is the sound of an old biplane engine failing, and this same sound effect was used by Sound designed ben burrt for the failing engines of the millennium falcon [clip].
He is now suing Jacobson. This of course is a conflict for Jennifer being that Luke also makes her suits. But, as Mr. Holliway points out, Leapfrog has signed a conflict of interest waiver, just like Emil Blonsky did so Jen could represent him. [clip]
Here we get another mention of Jen having won the Female Lawyer of the year award. [clip]
This award was first mentioned in the previous episode. [clip]
In court we see the return of Judge Price. He of course presided over the shapeshifting lightelf case from episode three. [clip]
We then see that Luke Jacobson’s lawyer is none other than Matt Murdock [clip]
Just like Matt is Luke’s client when it comes to superhero costumes, Luke is now Matt’s client when in legal trouble.
And actually, these two have faced off in the courtroom in the comics. Most memorably, in the recent brilliant run by Charles Soule and Javier Pulido. This series takes most of its characterization of Jen from that series, and the legendary run by the brilliant Dan Slott.
In that storyline, Captain America is being sued for the wrongful death of a friend of his form the 1940s. Long story short, this was before Steve got his powers, and he’s carried around the guilt of this detah for decades. So, hew anted to be tried in court for it. So he asked Jen to be his defense attorney, and encouraged Matt Murdock to take up the case against him. Essentially, he wanted to make sure that his friend’s family got the best representation available to them.
It turns out one of the family was a Nazi, his friend’s death was an accident, and the whole thing was being orchestrated by one of Cap’s villains to ruin his repuatian-but we still got to see Jen and Matt go head to head in a legal proceeding.
Doug: So what’s going on with Matt? Is that daredevil Netflix show in the MCU, or not? Like Kingpin seemed different and super strong, and now Matt Murdock is cracking jokes when he was all serious in the netflix show [clip, him hitting kingpin i final episode].
Let me explain. I think that the Netflix Daredevil shows actually occurred in another timeline-like the multiple timelines we saw in Loki. But, the events in that universe very closely mirrored what happened in the MCU. - Кино
One thing I noticed that infuriated me and felt very telling was how Damage Control was clearly already there because they showed up with guns drawn within seconds of her hulk out. That means that even though Jen has never done anything wrong, and she was there to be honored as a normal lawyer, somebody at the event was still like, "Yeah, but let's hide a bunch of goons with guns around the corner just in case she goes crazy."
Probably was all the hulk king henchman disguised as waiters that made separate calls saying she hulk was rampaging that got them there because they knew she would and the exact time
@@Collect2Disconnect They were already there way too fast for that. I'm guessing it was a set up.
Maybe that is what all that high-fiving we see Emil/Abomination doing in the teases -- they neutralized the "threat" they faced. With Bruce off-planet, who else can stop Emil? (Maybe the cannons, but maybe not.)
I mean, she did cause some property damage (public and private) when she was superheroing with Daredevil, and Damage Control does seem to have a hate-boner for superheroes.
Daredevil was excellent in this. He was obviously more lighthearted for the tone of the show, but his writing and brief action was on point. It has given me hope for Born Again! Also, his theme returned, chills.
Same and I like that they didn't make him too comedic hes really the same man honestly and his action
His sense of humor and intelligence plus brutality is still there love what feige is doing with him
"He was obviously more lighthearted for the tone of the show" Matt's a tourist in LA, of course he's going to relax a bit, even if doing a bit of crime stopping.
@@dreadsocialistroberts They also made a more of a bad ass, not so much the punching bag anymore.
@@MLM68 come on, we like to see him bloody
The scene where Jenn is standing in front of the wrecked screen and engulfed in red light at the awards reminded me a lot of the scene in Carrie when she goes into a rage at the prom after, like Jenn, being humiliated in front of a crowd of her peers.
Her problems are nothing compared to what Bruce Banner or the other heroes has undergone in their life.
I know Mallory is supposed to be a villain on the comics, but she is my favorite characther. The way she tried to stop Jen before The breakdown was genuine consern.
I think the reason why Jen said "Previously on my show" is because she already knew people are just waiting for Charlie Cox/Daredevil to steal the show and she wants to remind the viewers that "No, this is not a Daredevil show".
LOL spot on analysis.
@@Jumpoable that's the only reason why they released the teaser video for Daredevil even before the show aired. So that the fans of the Netflix Daredevil show will jump in and watch She-Hulk. Nothing against the She-Hulk series though, I still enjoyed it.
No doubt.
I actually saw it as more of a comment on previous episodes of "She Hulk by Titania" and "Just Jen" as well as the previous episode being mostly about Blonsky and the Josh twist.
He did steal it too.
I’m Cambodian and very aware of this and I’m Very surprised when you start talking about the stolen statue. I’m Very appreciate it that you shared this information
Did anyone else notice that DODC was there instantly? I understand having normal security, but they were there specifically for her. So either HulkKing called them ahead of time to make sure they were there, or they literally follow her around to all public appearances.
On last episode Jen Walters phone got hack, so Thunderbolt order DODC arrest her on sight.
Two things that weren’t mentioned:
- It’s normal that Jen didn’t know who Daredevil was because he is a hyper local hero, just like spider man was in homecoming. People in the neighborhood knows who he is and that’s enough.
- to me the strongest scene in the episode is the last one where a post enraged she hulk looks at us as to gauge our reaction / see that we are also shocked by her actions. That mirrors Hulk’s look after his rage fit in Age of Ultron
ScreenCrush does mention it @16:02 , w an explanation exactly along those lines.
@@mghn0013 my apologies. Must have missed it
I'm not even shocked at her actions. I already know that she will do something stupid 😂
I agree that the rage shown at the end was not mentioned. Jen doesn't scream in the way she screamed in the end and then when she looked at the camera, it was like she realized that someone else took over her. Like Hulk mentioned in the first episode- you sure there is no other guy?
I think there was another person inside her that we got a sneak peak about.
@@theTORCHD agreed. For the past several episodes we’ve seen her break the 4th wall and speak to us viewers with a casual familiarity. Makes that confused look to the camera all the more powerful.
Daredevil was cracking quips throughout his Netflix run while in costume. Plus, he knows he is in no real danger with an easy mission in She-Hulk.
Yeah. Leapfrog and Kingpin are apples and oranges :).
plus he seemed to be romantically interested in Shehulk so that might’ve made him more relaxed

Surprised you didn’t mention the end how she resembled an uncontrollable Hulk before she regained control. It’s as if she got pushed too far she started to impulsively grunt. Even her face and eyes looked more menacing for a few seconds until she snapped out of it.
The more lightheartedness and joking was obviously noticeable but it seemed like it was partially bc he was flirting with her, as there was chemistry between them almost immediately
I laughed when Daredevil was doing the walk of shame because
1. He was just happy, even said good morning to the woman walking her dog
2. Usually it's the woman doing the walk of shame when they do they carry their shoes instead of wearing them like how Matt was carrying his boots
It's always nice to see Matt Happy.
Hence why I refuse to use the term "walk of shame" when it was proceeded by a good night of fun by two consenting adults.
Luke needs to work on Daredevil's boots if he chooses to not wear them when he does the walk of shame. They're not friggin stiletto's.

Doug is a national treasure and needs to be protected at all costs ^_^
Right at the end when she hulk is looking at us.. she looks so sad and horrified as if she’s looking to us for support because she realised her world came completely crashing down before her eyes.. and the full weight of her victimisation yet vilification hits her.. it’s heartbreaking 😔

What got me is everyone's all upset that she broke some tvs but earlier she threw a crazy expensive car at daredevil like it's no big deal
Bruce's words, "once they see you as a monster...", hit right there. Felt so bad for her 😞
@@The_Infamous_Boogyman I think it was more how the crowd directly perceived her as a threat that counted in that case - I know that if someone got angry around me, versus heard that someone got angry secondhand, that the former would definitely impact me more.
Daredevil isn't just Batman, Doug. There's plenty of moments throughout the Netflix run where we see Daredevil smile and even joke around lightly with people he trusts. Now that he's around longer, he's cocky and more confident in his abilities. So now, he's a perfect interpretation of comic book Daredevil. He's serious when he has to be, but not a complete downer like Batman is around others.
Well this also depends on the Batman in question. Batman has always alternated between being comedic and grim and gritty.
Exactly
@@jeffreycarman2185 Good point because Golden age Bats with the purple gloves had that mischievous smile
This.
Plus for once he's not fighting a bunch of human traffickers who kidnapped a child, or a crime lord who is set on ruining his life. He knows Frogman and his goons don't pose any real danger to anyone (they don't even have guns) so there's no need to take it so seriously.
I like how her friend hinted to Wolverine with the makeup brushes 🤣
I hope he is in the finale
Is it just me or is the damage controls ultra fast reaction time suspicious?
Glad someone else noticed that!!! 🎯
Oh they've been keeping tabs on Jen's activities. And for such a public event like this awards gala, the DODC would be parked nearby.
Were they casing her, who’s really running the website? Could be the government?
I think Sharon Carter is involved. What does a female villain hate most, a female superhero.
Exactly, there is something off about them in the MCU. They act more as villains than protecting people. Especially when they grill the suspects.
They shot Peter Parker when he lost Aunt May, then went after Kamala who wants to be a hero in training. In the beginning, they took Vulture's job which lead to his life of crime. Used the drones confiscated in No Way Home on Kamala. The list will probably go on later in the MCU.
One thing for certain, Tony made a mistake when he died. If only a villain like Kang decided to unravel their earth and the multiverse. Damage Control needs a taste of the Madness from the Doctor Strange incident. Luckily monsters and the supernatural are being introduced further by Werewolf by Night. Let's see how they can process vampires and werewolves who would be looking for a midnight snack. Or Egyptian mythology seeking justice for those who have committed actual crimes. Hoping Moonknight or someone like him tracks down Mysterio on the destruction he and his henchmen caused if he is alive.
Lastly, someone needs to sue Damage Control for the damage they have caused when trying to capture these “fugitives.” Especially how they treat them in public like in Ms. Marvel. Civilians almost got hurt by their arrogance.
Just a thought.
Thanks to anyone who reads this.
Those witty, random references like Sir Mix-a-lot in this ep is one of the reasons why I love Screen Crush 😆
I really like that you guys keep your Easter egg videos relatively neutral and no matter how bad or good the episode or show you stick to the observations. Kudos keep up the good work!

The look on her face in the final moments when she looked at the camera really got to me. Like even in fourth wall breaking, she's apologizing to us for what she just did.
Or pleading for help...
even though i somehow agree with "critics" saying the show's writing is bad, i genuinely felt bad for her in that scene.
@@joshuacrisanto7419 the good thing is, this might be its only season, and not being stretched out like some series on the CW
@@captainobvious90 eh? i don't watch CW. i also don't consider She-Hulk not getting another season as a good thing. i just don't mind if it gets a season 2 or not.
I don't think she was apologizing tho
Also, in the last scene, it's likely a metaphor/critique how if a woman displays her emotions (in this case rage) she's seen as a monster or looked down upon by society, regardless of what transpired. The kind of metaphor we saw in Pixar's Turning Red.
And when the Hulk shows his rage is a metaphor to what exactly? It’s not like the Hulk is looked fondly upon by humanity when he displayed his rage, people are simply scared.
And when Jen was trying to kill daredevil by throwing a car at him and destroying private property, what exactly has the metaphor for?
She is a Hulk, she is angry, she is violent. The end.

I like the way Ryan handles complex subject matter. Like the stuff about victim blaming at the end. It's direct, clear, compassionate.

In the first episode Bruce asks Jen whether she felt there was an angrier version of her inside of she hulk which she says no, but I think this personality starts coming out at the end, especially when she starts growling at the henchmen
I don't think she has an alter like the hulk, but as mentioned anger can cause you to lose control so even without an alter, being too angry and not being prepared to deal with it will cause loss of control.
Which makes sense with Jens comments, she's always having to control her anger so she has no issue with the surface level problems, but when something big like this happens it's way too much for her to handle
@@aetriandimitri190 In the comics she does eventually get a much more savage and rage filled persona like Bruce, and bulks up a lot more when using it. But it is much later in her comic run. So I do think you are right, that this is her own internalized anger coming to the surface after something huge and humiliating happening.
I think that's what Bruce was trying to tell here in the first episode, she may be in control of her anger but when she's unprepared for a situation that's out of her control, she's now gonna have to deal with that bad images that The Hulk has to deal with for so long
@@kngrzz007 yeah the conversation definitely makes sense now. Jen understandably figured she had a control of it since she always has to deal with supressing her anger, but her life has been normal, she's never had to suffer like Bruce did or have this sort of thing happen before, so obviously she's going to lose control like he did even without an alter
It's not an alter. She had a sex tape publicly leaked with her family, coworkers and peers there. Even a regular person would justifiably be pissed
Love that you caught the foreshadowing from episode 1. "When they start seeing you as a monster, that never goes away."
Melvin Potter was arrested in Daredevil season 3 after he betrayed Matt (due to FBI blackmail). We never found out what happened to him after that but I always assumed he wasn't going to be making suits for Matt anymore... so it kind of makes sense that Matt would need to find a new tailor.
Melvin in season 3 Daredevil is found dead. We see Melvin dead in the freezer along with Julie, Bullseye’s love interest. It’s really easy to miss but for those that are wondering, Melvin is dead 😔
You can see him dead in Season 3 episode 13 @ time 20:35.
@@blizb8590 I just went back and checked. I don't think that's him --- the dead guy has a full beard whereas Melvin only had a mustache and a bit of stubble. Similar clothes, though, so I'm not 100% sure... According to the show's Wiki, he was merely under arrest and in custody by the end of the season.
Oh wow. That’s embarrassing 🙈 well if Melvin is in prison, who’s is the guy that I thought was dead Melvin?
@@blizb8590 Also, after doing some digging, it turns out that may have been one of Fisk's assassins that killed Julie whilst posing as a painter in the hotel hallway. It looks like him too...
Perhaps the Sokovia Accords were repealed after Falcon and the Winter Soldier series after Captain Falcon told the government to do better.
Charlie Cox is our forever Daredevil, and I'm so down for it.
How did you guys miss the Carrie moment while She Hulk is on stage? She’s embarrassed in front of her peers but instead of blood there is red light filling the room.
good catch
It’s funny you say Carrie, I was reminded of the sequel, “The Rage: Carrie 2”. It’s at the party where they show footage of Rachel having sex with the guy and she loses it. Her heart tattoo’s vines spread all over her body (hulking out) and she massacres everyone there in her party dress. With telekinesis of course
I like it when She-Hulk gets humiliated in front of everyone. Served her right 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This. The whole scene becomes a DePalma tribute, from the colors to the circular camera movement
I also thought that light was kind of a way of making her look like red hulk before she starts rampaging
There's a parallel of Jen taking more control of the 4th wall ("previously on him!" "previously on she-hulk" and "you'd think this episode would end!"), and her gaining more control of who she is in the story of the show as well. Kind of love that.
Dude, I love the brutal take downs daredevil does. We need more of that in the mcu. Superhero takedowns
You left out the best part, at the end when She-Hulk is looking at the camera she's actually looking at something else and she looks concerned.
THIS
Yes, I hoped he would talk about that.
I feel like the look was at us and she was shocked and worried that we too think differently of her now- possibly echoing back to what Bruce said in episode 1. They (intelligencia) are trying to paint Jen as a monster and that look felt like oh no they've won- which is awful for her to think but is reflective of the struggles so many women have in being heard and belived in these situations.
Or because she just told us she was worried why the show wouldn't be over yet then the ball drops...
@@DanCarnellious nah she looked at that direction before the camera switched to make it face us bro, if it was fourth wall break she would be looking somewhere else then look right at us without a camera switch

It’s very necessary. We should call trash trash no matter if the marvel title is on it or not.
i would agree with you except that it isn't trash. both she-hulk and ms marvel have gotten ridiculous amounts of hate, and i just can't figure why that might be. 🤔 marvel is and has always been diverse, by which i mean that many different titles are as different from one another as different genres. there is a difference between trash (e.g., star wars eps 7-9 or the inhumans show) and shows that simply do not appeal to certain viewers. moreover, if it is trash, say so and move on. what i have seen in regard to she-hulk has been way over the top and for reasons that i both do not see yet understand all too well. in an ironic way, she-hulk as a show is doing exactly as you suggest, they are calling bad behavior bad behavior and many people simply cannot handle it.
@@ashenbreese My point exactly. I don't understand the hate phase 4 has gotten besides thats its more diverse and female led.

It’s really not that hard to understand. Stop blaming it on misogynistic trolls 😂 you make a meme out of yourself when you do so.
I just hope they bring Foggy and Karen back in the MCU, with the original actors of course.
What I’d really want in the future is a Hawkeye and Daredevil meet-up. (If there is one in the comics then I obviously haven’t read it.) But for the MCU it could be funny. “Hi I’m Daredevil, blind but really good hearing.” “Oh I’m Hawkeye, deaf but good eyesight.”

This episode was so badass and well worth the wait. Happy to see Murdock back in action and his chemistry with Jen was so much fun to watch
15:42 In the comics, She-Hulk was trained by Captain America, Gamora, and Black Widow. I think it would be great if we see She-Hulk getting trained to fight by Shang Chi and mentored by Daredevil at some point in the MCU 🤔
My favorite She Hulk episode and this screen crush was the icing on the cake!
So, I have to disagree at the end there. I think they were more concerned about She-Hulk going on a Hulk rage than catching one of the perpetrators. It seemed like she had slipped into a Hulk rage and the "Other Girl" got a hold of the wheel for a bit. Her facial expressions became a bit more animalistic like Hulk used to be, and you could kinda see that she realized it at the end. She became everything that Bruce had warned her about because her emotions got the better of her.
I think it was a nice callback to the first episode where she was very confident that she could be a Hulk better than Bruce could. She's now realizing that with the kind of power she now has, she can't have any slip-ups. It's no longer an inconvenience-turned-fun-alter-ego. It also calls back to her speech in the first episode about power and responsibility. This episode was throwing the concept of responsibility as helping people with both of her skills/abilities in her face, but I think it also brought home that there's another side to responsibility that she's realizing that she doesn't fully have a handle on.
All in all, it was a great episode that tied a bunch of seemingly unfulfilled plot points together into something that should make for a really good finale.
I got serious shivers down my spine when the theme of Netflix Daredevil was playing...still my favorite Marvel series to this day.
When the door in the hallway opened, I was like "no way, even a Hallway scene in this episode!"...but what bugged me, that it didn't feel a bit like in the original show, where all these fights were done as single take, which made them so spectacular and outstanding.
I seriously hope this will be better in Born Again...

Yeah I wanted the single take too

I wonder if the next episode will feature a court scene suing the perpetrators. It for sure is illegal by California state law. And it would be satisfying as hell to watch these assholes brought to justice, whether it be by the law or by "other" methods. Loved your vid as always ScreenCrush!
The “fridging” joke was also directly made by Deadpool and Korg in the Deadpool reviews Freeguy video.
So that comment followed immediately by Wolverine claws leads me to believe this was She Hulk acknowledging it. Or even acknowledging they planned on making the announcement when they did. Or could just be coincidence.
How did Damage Control get to the gala so quickly after Jen started freaking out? Only a couple minutes at most had gone by between the Intelligencia video playing and her smashing her way outside, where DC was already mobilized and in position. Were they tipped off that something was going to happen?
Just reaching
Yup the whole thing was a setup to pre-swat her knowing she would be angry from the video
Intelligencia probably reported an incident before enacting their plan expecting this to happen.
My guess is tipped off at the very least, I also wouldn't be surprised if there are some Intelligencia in DODC either.
Since Spiderman: No Way Home, Damage Control has become more aggressive, as is the case here. I believe at some point they're going to become Authoritarian and Villainous towards enhanced individuals 🤔
I really love how DD was introduced, done him justice
I don't know why people would think that any character would have to always be in the same mood or mental state, brooding forever because they went through some rough times or even a rough life up to a certain point. This Matt did not seem that different to me, or at all. He was just in a different, lighter context, and going after an idiot instead of someone who poses a real threat to him and everyone around him, i.e, the Kingpin, or Bullseye.
Todd doesn't have the gravitas to become the Red Hulk. It would be a huge disservice to the character.
We missed you Man.
Welcome back. Hope that everything is fine.
The real question is how the DODC just arrived swiftly? did someone tipped them off, or someone in intellegencia works in the DODC.
When Jen turned around after smashing the screen, and people were running and screaming, it VERY much seemed like a reference to "Carrie."
At 11:50 of She-Hulk when Matt was leaving the bar, I'm fairly certain that that's writer/former Lawyer Charles Soule in the background.
The Sokovia Accords were still im affect in WandaVision so they have to have been repealed sometime after that
I loved seeing Cox on screen again
Yes, The Incredible Hulk didn't contradict Hulk... except for the opening titles which showed a vastly different origin for the Hulk.
I'm starting to think that one of the goals of this show was not only to give us a bunch of random things from the comics, cameos and reveals,, but also for something else entirely. I think this show is meant to set the stage for showing us that there's a lot more superheroes and mutants out there that we never saw just because, well, we never saw them.
and how those lives are not always like "all action, all the time; in tight spandex". some just deal with things like traffic tickets, faking your death to get out of relationships, and finding love.
too bad they had to make it infuriating to watch
@@nickmagwood9200 nah! 😂
They translated Daredevil PERFECTLY in this! He was witty, brooding, and unbelievably charming. He honestly had great chemistry with Jen, and I liked seeing them interact. Charlie Cox was born to play Daredevil and I’m so happy he’s in the MCU now!
Also it’s good to see you back Ryan!
Ryan was out back gardening... He didn't go anywhere.
This version of Daredevil made me think Batman from the animated series I enjoyed it a lot
The past few episodes have really redeemed this series. I was just not into it at first. Granted, I'm not a big sitcom guy, so I just figured it wasn't for me, but the Titania She-Hulk episode and the goofy Asgardian shapeshifter junk were definitely difficult to get through. However, ever since the Wedding episode, I've really started to enjoy it. Jen seems to finally be coming into her own and appreciating both her identities and the chemistry between her and Matt this episode was great!
Also in the bar when Matt is just about to leave, Jen does the 4th wall break and Matt notices something about it
Loved Matt in this epsidoe, after all the emotional and Physical abuse this man has gone through in his own show, he has earned these smiles and laughs in this epsidoe. As long as they return to the darker tone for Echo and Born again I'm totally MCU Matt Murdock
Loved this episode. I'm concerned about what will become of Jen/She-Hulk as Bruce warned once seen as a monster, always seen as a monster. I mentioned in the Andor Ep 5 breakdown that SC always has great reviews, but that breakdown was a master class. This breakdown also is fantastic, and oh btw, can we PLEASE have a breakdown of League of Super-Pets hosted by Doug? Thanks!
imo was hopin she was gone go savage💯its ben SO long since we seen tha hulk jus go KRAZY😪
Im happy this episode showed that. Everyone was upset initially because she was "perfect" but the reality was she was just being cocky and stubborn . Now it's biting her in the ass. I figured they would have her lose it at some point so that they can emphasize that she still has a lot to learn.
I really don’t think so, Bruce suffers from schizophrenia Jen does not. Bruce’s warning was more about him. Hulk will be coming back, just like when Hulk kept Bruce down for two years Bruce is doing the same to the hulk. There’s also the Gray Hulk in there somewhere.
@@pheenmachine that’s what you got out of that? That’s not what I saw. I thought it was just her reaction to a male society that expects too much of her. Also she was attacked personally this came out of nowhere when it’s supposed to be her night. It all started when you see her realize she wasn’t the only woman getting an award. It All starts coming part for her right there.
The reviews are supposed to please people who do like this show.
It’s the funny thing about RUclips , the crowd goes to watch reviews that agree with them , because they are watching the review after watching the show. It’s not like the review tells whether you should watch the show, people watch reviews to validate their own opinions.
I wonder if Matt is gonna be like Phil coulson and start appearing in everything. Would be awesome
Missed Easter egg: Jenn's face when the other women's names are called for the award. This galla seemed like a big deal, and Jenn getting this award was a big deal, but when all these other women are receiving the same award with her it makes the award seem more like a meaningless participation award just for being a female lawyer, and not the big deal that Jenn thought it was going to be, like this whole thing was just some sort of sham award just to get She-Hulk to show up.
I’m very surprised you don’t think they should bring back Punisher . I loved him in the Netflix show
The thing is, we would love to see him, but we would hate to see him badly used. At the very least its going to be PG, thats a bad start.
It's not that they don't want him to return. It's that his stint on Netflix was so perfect, that anything Disney creates isn't going to come close. Especially considering the fact that it will be heavily censored to achieve a PG rating. That and they'd likely do a very poor job of trying to separate him from the toxic alt-right groups who have made him their unofficial mascot.
The Punisher is a minefield and best left to his epic self in the Netflix series.
Bruh he was saying they shouldn’t re introduce/ recast anothe punisher not that he shouldn’t be brought back… whooosh
The Man Without Fear taking the walk of shame is everything
Men do not do walks of shame. There’s no shame in our game. He would be walking with pride and not holding his boots like a woman in heels.
You can really see the lifestyles of the writers through this show, having to literally say “walk of shame” to project that because otherwise no one would think it
@@IronPsyde Not really, cause as soon as I saw him I busted out laughing and said “walk of shame”. And having a character like Matt Murdoch do it is sheer brilliance. As for men not taking the walk of shame, sorry pal, I’ve taken more than a few over my lifetime
@@IronPsyde Calling it "The Walk of Shame," is all tongue-in-cheek now, anyway. It's a joke. Shorthand for saying they're walking home after an adult sleepover. 😊 No one should be "shamed" for that in this day and age.
Tk god you are back from vacation, we missed your carisma. Love your work, tks a lot!
The ending to this one really stuck with me. Like, bravo for actually leaving me wanting more
Can we talk about what a terrible lawyer Jen was in this episode? She went into the courtroom and his caught by surprise that Leapfrog was using the suit in a way contrary to the instructions. This is something she ought to have asked him about in detail long before that point. Of course, he probably would have lied to her about it, but in that case the scene would have played out differently.
I thought so too. But she's not entirely convinced of this lawsuit, her client is a douchebag, so she's trying a different approach by calling a list of other wronged customers to set some kind of foot for a class action, but her entire frame is thrown by Daredevil's awesome smell sense, which catches that the fuel used is entirely wrong, ofc he knows this because of reasons. Also, the scene tries to place Matt's lawyering at the same level as hers, and this case is clearly of secondary priority for her, so she's more than grateful to have lost against some of the greats. Also the way he dismisses her call for the customer client list is just great, a teachable moment for she-hulk that comes to bite her in the ass at the end of the episode. Seriously, this was the best of the season so far.
I honestly wonder if the Red Hulk reference might actually be a reference to Red She-Hulk, given it's a She-Hulk series and it's been almost 15 years since we last saw Liv Tyler as Betty Ross who ironically is the only other Incredible Hulk character to not return to the MCU yet.
I’ve heard they already started casting for the role. Hooray I still have like the first 15 issues.
The original General Ross recently past away, so I think they'll stray away from that Red-Hulk. He's already in the MCU so if they are able to get Liv Tyler to return, I think that could be a huge win.
@@briansilva3344 There have been rumours about them recasting General Ross but that's also fair.
@@BlackHedgehog I personally feel like a recasted Ross turning into Red-Hulk wouldn’t be earned, in a similar way of Tim Roth turning into Abomination again after 10 years.
Personally, the only other person I would get hyped for as Ross is Sam Elliott, who would probably be game to join the MCU.
Another possible easter egg: In the end when She Hulk turns to the camera after she smashes the screens, the red lighting with that look of wild anguish reminded me of the scene of DePalma's "Carrie", where Carrie, drenched in blood, turns and stares chillingly at the viewers, before she attacks her antagonizers with her psychic powers. The frames of both look similar.
Bravo! Excellent analysis video. And including the social commentary on artifact theft was a nice touch.
This episode was much better. I wish the whole series was like this.
Great Episode! That failing engine sound was used in Temple of Doom as well, when the Laoche plane failed, and Last Crusade when Henry shot out the wings, great catch!
Man that daredevil soundtrack is so damn good!
I cannot believe how Dope Daredevil is in this. Like it obviously wasn’t as bloody as the Netflix show but that fightscene was GREAT
This episodes was actually better than the other episodes of this show can't wait for the finale to see Jen R.I.P the intelligencia to shed😂👍🏽
Yes. R.i.p them to shed. Whatever that means lol. But seriously this was an amazing episode
I think that the reason kingpin was stronger is because he got a hold of the super soldier serum, and Matt might have learned to lighten up a bit with his new suit, sort of a new beginning for him, trying to be more of a hero and less of a vigilante
No I’m gonna go with this is just a different universe and they just made them as strong as in the comic book.
@@MLM68 it would make the most sense in the grand scale of things, but they have made comments about the first Avengers movie in the show and in the punisher they talk about winter soldier in the very last episode
Maybe when she mentioned red hulk she was foreshadowing Betty Ross becoming Red She Hulk. The Hulk King could be the one who transforms her.
I love that Doug knows about SirMixalot
The entire episode i couldn’t look away. having Charlie Cox back as Daredevil not only is fan service but that role his HIS!
One question that still remains unanswered about the end. How did the DODC get there so quickly or why where they already there? Something tells me that Hulk King, whomever that turns out to be, has a mole inside of the DODC and/or tipped them off that She-Hulk was going to rage.
And would people stop referring to Matt leaving Jen's apartment as a walk of shame? Yes yes, I know, it's the term used for going home after hooking up but honestly, I hate the term. There was nothing shameful about him hooking up with Jen or the result there of. They both had fun, or at least Jen did anyway, and enjoyed themselves. Nothing Shameful about it!
Dude, Todd IS the "Hulk King"
Yesss walk of satisfaction ❤️🔥
@@Jumpoable Until it's confirmed, we can speculate all we want. Until it's confirmed, Bruce could be the Hulk King.
@@tilarium2 LOL riiiiight. Her cousin who helped Jen on her initial journey into being a Hulk, & is now away in outer space, is the Hulk King commissioning people to take sex videos of HIS COUSIN (eeeew) & trying to tear her down professionallyl & emotionally. Riiiiiight. You don't read comics or any sort of fiction much, do you?
@@tilarium2 Yeah…you didn’t think this response through at all, didja? Posting sex videos of his cousin?
Was I the only one that saw the "Carrie" moment when she was humiliated on stage, the red lights flashing, and her rage filled eyes. That was right out of the movie, before she completely snapped.
You have given a brilliant analysis of this episode. Always edifying. Thank you!
The Daredevil show was dark but that never stopped Matt from joking around in the show, it just was not heavily focused on humor like the main MCU is.
loved this video! Daredevils walk of shame was so great! I loved that he was carrying his shoes. I will admit I thought the episode was over so it was very unsettling when the fourth wall break lasted for so long and she was so unsure. a great way to foreshadow what was to come because the ending is so unsettling. Like what happens with She-Hulk now that we know theres a way she cant control her temper and FULLY HULKS OUT! I love the idea that she can control it better simply by being a woman but this is also interesting to know she can hulk out because ya know, women get upset too lol. excited for the finale. I wish there were more episodes this is actually one of my fav MCU series.
Why would he feel shame?
The whole last sequence when Jen is standing on stage looking furious gave me Carrie vibes lol, the red flashing light making her look covered in blood too! super cool 😁
16:46 Did you see the lightning in scene simply divide by frame red and green which represent daredevil and she hulk ✌✌
