She-Hulk episode 9 gives us one of the best Marvel TV finales, by literally going behind the scenes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Instead of giving us fan service fights between Hulk and the Abomination, and validating our silly fan theories--the show makes the show about Jen. While also still teeing up Skaar and the upcoming daredevil: Born Again.

This episode opens in the style of the classic 1978 tv series, The Incredible Hulk. [clip] Notice there are a few new additions, like Emil Blonksy’s file from the Incredible Hulk movie. And these opening credits were also replicated for the opening of that film.
This scene is effectively taking the palace of the “previously on” segment we see at the beginning of each episode. Doing this recap in the style of another Hulk tv show is foreshadowing the complete collapse of the 4th wall we’ll be seeing come the end of the episode. From the beginning of this episode, we are being reminded that this is first and foremost, a TV show. Notice that the aspect ratio has shifted into a standard definition 4:3 ratio.
In this scene we can see that when Jen transforms into She-Hulk, she is no longer Tatianna Maslani, but instead another actress. This is in reference to how in the Incredible Hulk tv show, they brought in another actor in Lou Ferrigno to play the Hulk version of Bruce Banner.
And following Jen’s arrest she was placed in the same cell we saw Blonsky’s Abomination in earlier in the series. [clip]
Now I think it’s worth pointing out that Jen 100% could have bolted and avoided being arrested. There are very few people who could take her down. But the fact that she surrendered and allowed them to arrest her shows that she knows running from the police would’ve only caused more trouble for her. Mallory reminds her of her predicament [witnesses saw a hulk]. Reminding Jen of her cousin’s words in episode 1 [people can’t unsee the monster, etc]
As a condition for her release negotiated by fellow Lawyers Mallory Book, Pug, and her best friend and paralegal Nikki. Jen is required to wear an inhibitor. The same inhibitor she negotiated as part of Blonsky’s plea deal. [clip] The inhibitor is also a kind-of callback to the comic book, where Jon got a mental block at one point that PREVENTED her from turning into she-hulk, so she wore a device that would allow her to transform. [NWH, existential crisis]
We hear Jen ask if they called Bruce to which we hear it went straight to voicemail, because he’s off planet. [clip, Pug talking about calling the Hulk].
When the press are surrounding Jen’s house this reminded us of when the press were surrounding Peter Parker’s house in Spider-Man No Way Home. As well as when the press were obsessed with She-Hulk earlier this season.
Jen is fired from GLK/H and has to move in with her parents. Something similar happens to her in the Charles Soule run, where her high-end legal career falls apart and she has to start a smaller practice. The press make sure to call her [female cousin of the hulk] because in the comics, and in society, a woman’s only defining trait is her sex and how she relates to a man. Layter hermom even calls her “girl hulk.”
And I just got to say…all of this is why Secret Identities are a good thing.
When the press is chasing her as she runs into the house and her dad sprays a water hose at them. This is a reference to the very first issue of She-Hulk. When Jen is being pursued by henchmen of Nicholas Trask. We see her cousin Bruce use a water hose to hold them off. [clip, J Jonah laughing, you serious?]
In her childhood bedroom we can see a poster of the movie Legally Blonde on her door. Legally Blonde is a movie about a young woman pursuing a career as a lawyer. And having to face constant misogyny and ridicule along the way.
And this is a poster for Julia Roberts’ movie, Erin Brockovich. Another film about a strong independent woman in a legal battle, facing diversity along the way. Constantly being underestimated. And it’s actually based on a true story.
Doug: I’m happy for her winning that Oscar, but it should’ve gone to ellen burstyn for Requiem for a dream. - Кино

I thought the 4th wall break was very in character with the comic version of she hulk.
It was HORRIBLE
Didn’t love the reveal of Skaar, but outside that thought it was great
Where do you get your screen grabs of the comics from?
To me k.e.v.i.n seemed more like g.l.a.d.o.s from portal then any other by the fact that he is basically watching them for his own purpose
The original Hulk series opening homage was pure gold
Yes, that was actually 1 of the very few highlights of this series and it was still done poorly overall.
i cheered
It was actually pretty terrible...like terrible.
@@csxanatos653 yall are so bitter LUL
@@DiabolikSilhouette cry a river
Did you miss that in the closing titles we see Blonsky putting his inhibitor on the chicken? That’s how he can turn into Abomination for those talks. And it explains how it got messed up: he accidentally touched an electric fence while chasing her around.
Woah that's awesome
Brilliant 😃
Good catch!!
Ohhhhh woooow, that's a great find! hahahahahahaha
or the chicken was wearing it when it tuched the electric fence
I think Bruce leaving near the beginning of the series and returning with his son is confirmation that there will be a movie coming, especially with Jen saying "save it for the movie". They need the movie to explain what happened during that time.
that's obvious
@@marconylara1272 It seemed obvious to me too but Ryan in the video says it means that there won’t be a movie. I was responding to that statement.
Kevin having the signature Feige hat is a touch of art
She hulk is now the most powerful character in the MCU , she has obtained THE POWER OF THE SCRIPT.
There is one more powerful, the one who wrote and created the entire marvel universe ,
Stan Lee
equipped with plot armour
Literally rewrote her own reality and affected ours too
That is not going to be a MCU world breaker at all right?! And yes I’m accounting for Deadpool as well!
@@RandomNPC001 Deadpool is literally just untouchable
Disney+ shows like She-Hulk and Moon Knight make it very obvious that Disney/Marvel Studios desperately needs to hire a lot more CGI specialists and then actually pay them all a decent wage on top of it. They also need to quit pushing all of their current employees to complete these ridiculously short CGI work schedules. I would much rather it take longer for projects to be released than to be shown a final product like She-Hulk.
I read that the guy behind the desk who makes Jen sign the NDA is the real guy who worked behind the desk at Marvel Studios who made people sign NDAs. He recently got promoted so he is in a different job, but that is what he did. I really like this episode and I think it improved the whole series. After the two years of Disney Plus I think I have learned to watch the whole series before judging it. They made a lot of things that seemed wrong turn out right.
Hm i didnt really like the intelligencia plot. The ending was weird
Good for him! I hope when he looks back on that episode, he’ll think to himself “man, I’ve come so far in my career”
I felt Jen's fight through the studio hallways was much more reminiscent of Black Widow's fight in Iron Man 2.
I know he isn't getting much chatter, but Mark Linn Baker's roll as Jen's dad was fantastic.
Since she brought up the fact that so many superheros have father issues, I hope he becomes a surrogate father to many of the MCU characters
His ability to show shock and concern on his face during the phone leak scene was impressive.
The dad was indeed very nice, both how he was written, and the actor.
cousin Larry is great.
Yeah I really wanted there to be a post credits scene with Kevin where he robo stammers, or he does it in real life to play up KEVIN.😂
Don't be ridiculous!
The Dad is quite eccentric, both parents are something I don't recognize. Maybe just quirky, definitely intersting to say the least.
Matt just dropping out of the sky and being very confused was extremely funny to me.
lol KEVIN literally just dropped him in
Plus Superhero landing!
I was a bit confused first too. There are almost no builings to drop of and how the heck did he get there without anybody seeing him in daylight.
Same. I loved that 🤣
@@Exocrime because K.E.V.I.N jus put him there, he can do anything 😂
A few extra observations- when Daredevil drops in at the end you see that he's briefly confused, because he doesn't know how he got there. Even his line delivery on 'I'm here to help' is oddly stilted, like he's reading it off a card someone just stuck under his nose. The lights on KEVIN are the colours of the Space, Time and Reality gems, and he messes with all three whilst he and Jen are 'editing' the ending.
I personally loved Titania popping up at the end, since with her social media contacts she'd be bound to have found out about Intelligentsia and you can bet they don't like her any more than they do Jen. I think the biggest unanswered question is what actually happened in the hall at the end from everyone else's point of view. Obviously somehow things got resolved (and if Todd didn't have the Hulk blood then any fight with meat-heads VS Titania, Jen and The Abomination was probably pretty short) but we don't know how. It's possible, as was hinted at in the writers' room scene, that Jen had a psychological break, imagined the whole KEVIN scene and then came back to her senses outside, but nobody is reacting as if Savage She Hulk had popped up so that seems unlikely.
Nice, I hadn't consider his eye colors.
Wow, Nice job Majere613!
Its Rgb colours, wtf
The three colors on KEVIN are red, green, blue, the colors you need to project a TV image. Just remember the closing credits of every episode of WandaVision. RGB "pixels" enlarged and creating patterns because it was all a TV show.
Some interesting points, but to relate KEVIN's lights to the reality stones is kind of shocking form me as a first take -- light projection on TV sets is based on Red, Green Blue, so, that's the first thing I thought of, and, probably what was going on with that. However, I do think this KEVIN thing is editing reality and maybe we see it again with Deadpool. It would be interesting if they use a Mojo type character to explain the 4th wall within the MCU as if it were part of the multiverse instead of just a fun twist for a few characters.
I thought the middle of She Hulk’s costume looked very dark and almost black when Jennifer Walters is human form but then realized it’s spandex so when the fibers are closer and densely packed it will appear dark and as it stretches when she hulks out the actual purple color of the material shows.
This is a cool detail if that’s the artist’s intent but it could also be that the lighting was very dark and dramatic in K.E.V.I.N.’s lair.
Thanks for the show. I look forward to it every week.
"Kevin the Robot represents Kevin the Feige" phenomenal one liner douge
I loved that so much ❤ 🐶 Doug rules
The security camera fight with the guards was definitely a twist on the Black Widow scene in Iron Man 2.
Not really, it’s just a character walking down a hall beating up guards. That’s happened a lot. Doesn’t mean it’s an homage or callback to something. Like if a character crosses the street, some people will say it’s a callback to when another character crossed a street.
That's what it reminded me of as well
At least Black Widow didn't have to sign an NDA first. LOL
It totally was, even at the end of the fight when they show all the Guards hurt was a Callback to when they show all the Guards that BW beat up
The She-Hulk finale pulled a Blazing Saddles. Super rare trope. It only happens about every 50 years.
That opening using the original TV intro is the best show opener they've done for all the Marvel TV shows so far. I used to walk the Hulk reruns with my Grandma as a little kid.
The whole K.E.V.I.N. bit was also like the antagonist from the Portal games, as well, which was before some of the other things you mentioned (like Wall-E).
Also, Blansky asking about WiFi at the end is a fun opposition to him not having/allowing WiFi at his retreat.
Yes, K.E.V.I.N. is very much like GLaDOS from the portal games, from coming out of the ceiling to being the mastermind behind all the chaos.
Yessss I thought the same thing
@@biffyqueen Exactly!!!!!
I also got a bit of a claptrap vibe from his style
@@_SYDGAMING_ that's an interesting notion I hadn't seen. But you're not wrong, the general vibe is there from construction, a bit.
Dude when Todd became a Hulk I had the same reaction as Jen. I was like this shit doesnt make any sense what is happening, and then that whole thing after was just great. And we got SKAAR!!!
I was 100% expecting Todd to die from the gamma radiation. Or to explode. Sad that he survived.
One thing you missed was that the KEVIN robot mentioned this Jen's 4th wall break was a glitch and that the robot fixed the glitch so that Jen can't do this again, nicely tying up this plotpoint.
I don't think he was talking about her fourth wall breaks in general - I think he meant they patched the vulnerability in the Disney+ UI that allowed her to travel between universes.
Hey, that’s not a Deadpool cover, it’s the cover for Black Widow #7 by Adam Hughes! Great run by Kelly Thompson and Elena Casagrande, and really gorgeous covers 😍
Robot/ camera Kevin was admittedly really funny ,and seeing Matt happy was really heart warming.
Yeah, I had high hopes for this show, I was bored till hulk and daredevil , the ending really bored me, and I really don’t like these short bits , and I enjoy the character a lot just the short settings , and that ending :/ man….plz
No it was not this was horrible! How could you like this show? Hell I was SO EXCITED for she hulk and damn if I didn’t feel like she- hulk uppercut me in the mortal kombat pit
Totally love the show, had no expectation and let them present what they want to~
@@shanecordova6970 Twice the expectation, Double the disappointment.
skipped right past that part.
The opening sequence paying homage to The Incredible Hulk was THE BEST !! I LOVED that show as a kid, I watched it every week.... when the MCU introduced us to Hulk I was SO confused as to why they changed his name to Bruce from David lol ...I wasn't a comic book reader, I had NO IDEA that his name was supposed to be Bruce lol 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah, they do the same for major comics characters actually. It's why Grant Gustin is the Flash when in the comics he's blonde. They think it checks all the boxes from a demographic and metric standpoint. You'd think at this point it wouldn't matter. That was my original gripe with Ezra, who knew nothings better than Ezra and he'd give us plenty more to lament. The black haired Barry just doesn't jive with me for some reason.
Shulkie's fight (first off Hallway fight!) at Marvel Studios reminded me more of Black Widow's hallway fight in Iron Man 2, which feels like the actual origin of the Marvel Hallway fight thing well before the Daredevil Netflix series. Also, when Jen is talking to K.E.V.I.N., the sensor looking thing behind her looks a lot like HAL 9000! Even though he was granted asylum in Kamar Taj(but never told anyone he was taking it), isn't Blosnky still a fugitive since was supposed to serve a 10 year sentence? And Mallory Book, was VERY much underused!
I get the feeling that Madisynn's demon bargain that was passed off as a joke earlier in the season is actually not a joke at all, and she's hanging out with Wong asking what his favourite drink is to get him drunk and likely fulfill her part of the bargain by stealing something from him for 'Jake'. Except, what if what she remembers as Jake is actually Jack Scratch? MEPHISTO CONFIRMED.
The actress that played She-Hulk at the beginning is the Stand in actress for She-Hulk scenes also
Yep. So glad they gave her actual screen time in the best way. Major props to them for doing that.
are you sure? because her stand in double is tall but skinny too, not bulk
I felt the hallway fight scene was reminiscent of Black Widow’s in Iron Man 2
Yes They totally missed that
Same.
I was kind of waiting for the move she (scarlet) used to do hehe.
We thought the exact same thing
@@franchescamayialmonte1303 I think the payoff was the crippled nature of the security as she left, that was right from IM2.
One thing also to note is that having Daredevil and the Hulk so close is almost an homage to "The Trial of the Incredible Hulk" Where Bruce...er I mean, David, got help from Daredevil.
That was a lot of fun. I love the ultra-meta twist, especially the call back to the comics by having her travel by moving out and in through the Marvel menu screen and going to the writer's room. Loved it.
The only Easter egg missed was as she was talking to Kevin sitting down she made a reference ideas for season 2 and that’s when he said this would be the last time she would have access to him. She-Hulk will possibly making a Round 2…
The college dance video could also be a reference to Orphan Black’s famous dance scene where all the clones dance together.
That opening '78 Hulk show parody was PERFECTION.
Also that "smashing her way through Marvel studios" scene reminded me of the ending of Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe, where...well he slaughters his own writing team. Thankfully She Hulk only beat up the guards and didn't smash heads.
Also also...I find it interesting that to smash her way into the "Avengers Assembled" tumbnail on the title screen...she swings off of the Loki thumbnail to do it. A subtle hint at a She Hulk cameo in Loki season 2? Maybe even granting Loki the power to completely break the fourth wall?
You gotta it right ... good work because you wouldn't like me angry .
The hallway fight with the security guards seems like a pretty clear reference to the Black Widow hallway fight in Iron Man 2.
The K.E.V.I.N. reveal was sort of spoilt if you had subtitles on as all the MCU writers were subbed saying it initialised.
It was an awesome finale though.
Yep. This happened to me.
The subtitles are written "K.E.V.I.N" for the writers whereas She-Hulk's subtitles are written "Kevin" before she meets with him. It had me questioning what was going on before the reveal. Great touch
I wish they hadn't done it that way. Sort of ruined the reveal
Great touch? It ruined the reveal entirely..
@@danparker3765 I stand by my opinion. You have your own, good day to you
Damn too late. Just wrote the same comment. ^ ^
I like it. I know that when I watch stuff with subtitles I have a chance of being "Spoiled" to what's about to happen before it's shown, so I didn't mind it ruining the reveal
She-hulk’s mostly reformed pop-psychology self-empowerment guru Blonski would be amazing on the Thunderbolts opposite Zemo and Walker. Particularly if they could balance him being a ruthlessly effective soldier on mission and doing his chill self-help stick when off mission
I think we might get the world war hulk movie because when Jen is talking to KEVIN, KEVIN asks her "Don't you wanna know why he went to Sakar?" then she says "Save that for the movie." By that, I assumed that they just teased about another hulk movie.
He never said that. He said "but I was about to introduce..." which for all we know could've been Skaar regardless
I kinda felt like Kevin being a robot hanging from the ceiling maintaining and manipulating everything in its influence felt very GLaDoS
It felt very Goto to me, but there's a story for every generation. I guess I'm dating myself.
the cake is a lie
His body also looked like it was made from parts of V.I.N.C.E.N.T. from The Black Hole.
All are references to HAL 9000
This version of abomination is absolutely massive. I'm intrigued to see what marvel will do with this character in the future. It's possible Wong strikes a deal with Valentina to give Emil a pardon in exchange for being on her thunderbolts team.
no its just that the hulk used to be bigger but for some reason in ruffalos hulk is tiny
@@Log-On-Line smart hulk ruffalo is small
@@Log-On-Line smart hulk is smaller. ruffalo's hulk from avengers 1 - infinity war was the same size as norton's hulk. altho he did undergo a makeover between ultron and ragnarok.
Probably, but do we need 2 calm Behemoths I wonder. I hope Kang gives the MCU an excuse to do Maestro live action.
@@Log-On-Line Its because smart hulk is smaller than savage hulk so he looked much smaller in comparison to abomination.
The Marvel studios office is located in the Frank G Wells building at the Walt Disney Studios lot directly across from the Seven Dwarves building (The executive building). The FGW building is also home to the Walt Disney Studio archives (D23), and Starbucks on the first floor, and Lucasfilm upstairs. I ran into Stan Lee and Hayden Christensen there years ago, but not at the same time of course.
"Is this what you want?" *NOPE*
I'd actually dreaded watching this episode because of ep 8's ending. I know a lot of people who've been s*xually assaulted, I escaped being s*xually assaulted, and in learning more about human trafficking for work, what happened to Jen is often how women and girls are forced into human trafficking/s*x work. So the prospect of watching her deal with that was awful. I didn't want to see that again.
So Jen getting to question this, that the story would revolve around something so directed at women, and get to redirect it, was MASSIVELY therapeutic.
There are people in my family who told me I was being "too sensitive". I didn't really tell them about when someone tried to r*pe me. I didn't want them to start telling me what to do, as if that person's choice to attack me was my fault.
I think this may help me be more open with them about what I feel and why.
Pretty sure Jen's "College Dance" video is from Orphan Black. Probably one of the scenes they shot with different actors standing in for Tatiana's many characters. In this one, she's clearly Cosima Niehaus, the scientist clone.
And the blonde is Krystal
Yes!!!! That was my first thought!
That was my first thought too!
I've been searching and haven't been able to find it though. ...yet
I had that thought too. It didn't look like they shot it for this show. It's a good riff on the AOC dance video too.
that was also my first thought.
Jen fighting Kevin’s security guards gave me more of iron man 2 Black Widow hallway fight vibe rather than thor
9:33 - "and I will die on that hill!" that just broke me 😂😭🤣
Hello fellow She Hulk fans 😎 Applause for the mind blowing and completely unexpected series finale. Talk about your serious 4th wall break. The episode went by so fast and was full of nods and winks to it's predecessors.
Hey K.E.V.I.N. - This is The Way. More She Hulk, please.
I loooved the beginning. I used to hide behind the couch after The Brady Bunch and be too afraid to even touch the TV to turn it off before The Incredible Hulk came on.
That opening was just beautiful
Nice try Jan 🧟♂️
Either they got the same guy to do the intro voiceover for the faux 1970s intro, or he's a damn good copy. I had serious flashbacks to when I watched the original as a kid.
It was a really good sound alike. The original narrator, ted Cassidy, died in '79.
I think the dance video might also be a reference to Tatian Mislany's previous show Orphan Black where she played multiple characters and there is a famous scene where she plays four different characters dancing in the same scene which was complicated and choreographed to look seamless.
Yes! Even her hairdo ressembles that of Cossima, one of her many roles on the series
15:53 I think the action figure he said was Star-Lord is actually Shang-Chi, the figure to the right of him is Xialing, and to his left are Morris and Wenwu
After seeing this episode, I wanna visit Marvel Studios and just look. at. EVERYTHING!!!!
I really dug it as a homage to Hulk shows and just TV in general. Definitely didn't expect it to go so meta but I liked it- very interesting piece of media.
Me too! It was my fav show as a tween. Having a crush on Bill Bixby got me into the show. People forget, it was a really good show, they just focus on the cheesy effects.
K.E.V.I.N saying the special effects team has moved on and then the black panther theme playing after gave me chills holy
For some reason the way Ryan told Doug to get out of his brain made me imagine someone watching him talk to his dog, but the dog doesn't actually talk back and it's all in his head so he just looks a little insane. 😂
One thing I think you missed: The video of Jen dancing in college looks a lot like one of her characters on Orphan Black!! Showing off how gorgeous Tatiana Maslany is btw!
Yeah, she had Cosima's braids.
Came to the comments to see if anyone else thought the same. I said, that's gotta be outtakes from Orphan Black! Lol. The glasses AND the braids!
@@SundayMorning91 Yes I was wondering if it was literally a scene from the series. Outages makes a lot of sense
And the blonde is Krystal!
So, if the 70's Hulk open was a dream, and Multiverse of Madness established that dreams are peaks into your life in an alternate universe, did they just establish that the Lou Ferringo and Bill Bixby Hulk-verse exists???
I love that Bruce is in Jen's phone as "Smug Hulk".
this by far the best review of the finale.
no misunderstandings. no misinterpretations.
He did misunderstand the quality of the episode, which was dreadful.
When the father repelled the reporters from his lawn, he said that he didn't care for the draught for he had water pressure for days. I believe it's a reference to episode 2 post credit scene where jennifer carried gallons and gallons of water in his house

@@TheRealSkreegle damn, I thought I finally found one easter egg that Ryan missed.
Doug's high five during this was super adorbs! Also didn't Ryan pretty much call this ending months ago? I believe he suggested she talk to the actual Kevin the Feig but still....fucking called it!
Doug - "Kevin the Feige" ...classic Doug 😂
Two things. first, I think there was a QR code on Jen‘s prison outfit. And second you alluded in one of your previous videos about how marvel shows needed to keep adding more and more when the story should be able to stand on its own, I believe you were referring to ShangShi. I think that Jen calling that out was a very positive thing.
Totally agreed that Pugs was horribly underused, met the actor a few years ago at a con and he was such a genuine guy. Him and I both nerded out about the “inconceivable” guy from princess bride at the next booth.
I disagree, Justin's drug abuse and troubles with the law ended up with him dead, sending Voight over the edge- ultimately why Jay left Intelligence
Also K.E.V.I.N. seems to be actively controlling the MCU by switching between one of three "eyes" that are the same color as the Space, Time, and Reality Stones.
ohhh nice
Interesting idea. I figured it was a reference to an old-school projection TV that used separate red, green, and blue lamps to generate an image.
I was looking to see if anyone else noticed this.
....or just the colour components on any screen. Red-blue-green
That line from Doug was hilarious 😂.. where he says.

True
The distinction between Deadpool and She-Hulk breaking the fourth wall is:
*Deadpool* breaks the fourth wall by speaking directly to the reader/audience
*She-Hulk* takes it a step further -Not only does she address the audience, but she climbs over comic page panels to get to certain locations faster, *AND* she will confront the writers in person when a storyline begins to go off the rails 🧐
So what you're saying is they're both stupid. Gotcha

Finally got to see the last episode. Not sure if anyone mentioned in the 1,500+ comments but y'all mention that K.E.V.I.N. is a callback to Otto from Wall-E. He's also appears to be a callback to V.I.N.C.E.N.T. from The Black Hole (anyone remember that Disney movie?) based on his body parts and the old analog screen. And also GlaDOS as well.
I know nothing about She-Hulk and you’re videos really help to fill her world out. I love 4th wall breaking in shows and this has been a doosey.

Those videos you're all putting together, are EPIC. There's so much stuff I would miss 😳
I didn't notice last night how the lens hood of K.E.V.I.N makes it look like Kevin Feige's signature cap brim...brilliant lol
Tatiana Maslany is the best. Her conversation with Kevin just made her my favorite.
I think this was original as hell AND will split the fan base. I loved it. Trolling of the best kind and lets real fans know Marvel does hear them but there's room for silly. That and K.E.V.I.N is good but wish they got the GLADOS voice actress...
If they wouldnt forget to hire some writers this show could be decent
The problem with that attitude is that now you are becoming what you hate. You are now invalidating people’s opinions like their concerns don’t matter and how is that any better as a whole?! Yes there are trolls and then there are people with genuine questions and concerns. You are also creating a shield around yourself were no one is allowed to question, because if you do you are a “troll”. Gender is not a personality trait and that is what writers are doing today. Tony stark and Thor for example were insufferable with their attitudes and very flawed in the very beginning, but their actions changed. My problem with the writing for me is that they keep telling us how “amazing” Jen is, but she didn’t do a “single” amazing thing. She had to be coerced in every good thing she did, she wasn’t a even good lawyer but we kept hearing how good she was. A good writing team doesn’t tell you a character is amazing they let you decide for yourself. Amazingly written women (Ripley, Sarah Connor, All the ladies in the Expanse, starbuck and so on). Harvey Birdman was a way better written show than this. Then again I’m a troll and I don’t matter!

I was looking to see if someone had corrected that. Thank you! I am looking forward to Hulkling showing up sooner or later, but as per your point of order, Teddy Altman is not related to Bruce Banner at all.
Also midsummer nights dream has a play within the play, and ends with a big 4th wall break at the end. So there’s your she hulk parallel
Yesss 👏👏👏it’s interesting every time I hear someone moaning about the 4th wall thing, that’s the first thing that comes to my mind -- “ have you seen ANY theater plays at all?!??”
Awesome video! I love the look Ryan shot Doug when he started with the Shakespeare quote. This episode started with me just being sad and by the end my face hurt because I was smiling.
I oddly got the same vibes I get from the end of The Pirate Movie.
This was probably one of my favorite shows of Marvel. It's started off strong, got a little boring in the middle, but delivered in the finale!
Really?! Were we watching the same show?
@TRReckless I really liked the switch up, I was disappointed that she referenced red hulk the previous episode which lead to nothing but otherwise it was awesome.
First few episodes were good. Pieces of each episode I could get behind. For the finale, the homage to the 70s Hulk show was good, K.E.V.I.N. was a good joke, but the rest seemed like a waste of time/money. I get that they were keeping with the spirit of the comic but I don’t feel like much was achieved in the end. This series is my Inhumans, I guess. I rank that show
above this one, in fact
Keep in mind that this is my opinion. And in my opinion, I really enjoyed it. After a lot of stress and exhastion, and college prep, this was exactly the kind of show that I needed.
@@spinjitzumasterfalcon exactly you don’t have to be on edge all the time for a marvel project this show is a good show to put on if ur bored and relaxing
Doug was really good this episode. Good high five:)
He always has the same questions I do. Thank you Doug:)
Doug is the only reason Im tolerating this channel

😂
Heavy spoilers mentioned Doug in his last vid. I think about Doug all the time.
This channel is awesome. Y’all super fast with the content. I love Ryan and Dougy
I've been saying that reese witherspoon joke all day at work.... it killed!!!! Thanks for making my day homie!!!! Tell Doug I say whats up!!!!
@ 11:25 I'm glad Jen did what she did, I was having a similar reaction, I was just about to pause the show myself lol
27:00 When he builds up the upcoming clip, I was expecting Episode IX’s best line for some reason. “…Somehow Palpatine Returned.”
Similarly, when he was building up one of the comic covers, I expected it to be "Your Mom".
But he did neither of those things. Breaking expectations, just like She-Hulk.
The video of Jen dancing in college:
1 - She seemed to be dressed as Cosima Niehaus from Orphan Black
2 - I agree about the reference to AOC's "leaked" video of her dancing and having fun in college and it being used as an attack.
@ 19:07 if you find it difficult to imagine how time-consuming CG work is, but, really want to appreciate it: DAZ studio (not a sponsor, not a rep, just a hobbyist) is a free to download CG program. It's fairly straightforward and user friendly. Take a weekend just to learn the program and try to set up a single still image of a person and make it look as natural as you can. Just one still frame, no movement. CG artists are the real superheroes, just like great actors / writers / directors are.
I LOVED the 4th wall destruction!!
also Titania going OH YEAHHHH! on the wall
K.E.V.I.N.’s lens colours were that of the reality, time and space stones which seem like the ones that would be useful for undoing and changing reality
Now this is a nice viceo, full of interesting info and details. Unlike another one I watched yesterday. SC! 🔥
Also, I press the like button at the beginning of the SC videos because I already know what to expect, and that I'll like the video! 👍
Planet Hulk/World War Hulk will probably be concurrent with She-Hulk and this will explain where Jen is during that movie
I have a theory on the cgi. As the show progresses, the cgi does get better. I feel as Jen starts to more fully embrace She-Hulk and accept that being a Hulk is now a part of her life, that's why the cgi does look better.
i never noticed the cgi problem, and i still can't see anything that looks wrong
@@kikosawa some of the earlier episodes there are some uncanny valley moments plus the clothes looking a little awkward moment wise.
Yikes! The CGI was insanely subpar.
Funny, I thought the same.
Never had an real issue with it, but you can notice changes.
Wonder if it was done on purpose.
Or because fans will hate this show more than they already do
I absolutely loved the intro. It hilariously took me back to my childhood. I watched the Incredible Hulk religiously. 😂
I don't see how everyone is so disappointed
It was a pretty cool finale imo
It's a different kind of show and they are leaning into it. I like the writers showing a bit of creativity and being unpredictable.
Creativity? Tf
I thought the finale was creative and it was great of MARVEL to take jabs at themselves and have fun with it AND drops some great clues for the future
They’re creative by not being creative enough to have a creative finale? That’s pretty lazy
just finished the finale, was waiting for the breakdown !
Loved the show! Great coverage!
Daaaaamn. The Requiem for a Dream reference. I love Doug.
