Mr Koenigsegg said in an interview that the rear wing did not really make any difference. The difference compared to the previous run was that his team now had time to set up the car for this track, downforce was not really an issue on this slow circuit but the story about the wing made good TV for BBC.

Love the styling of this car. In one glance its very modern, but at a second glance, it gives me McLaren F1 vibes or something else. Its kind of boxy, but curvy at the same time. Amazing car. Looks even better with the wing.

The wing ain’t that big so it wasn’t adding too much downforce, just enough to somewhat make it easier to control at higher speeds.

Afaik it's using a 4.6 4v modular ford with twin turbos, and the turbos sounded better than the engine in this setup. Shame.

no, this ccx was the last. CVK (Christian von Koenigsegg) has never said why, nor have the presenters, but ive never heard them asked. My guess would be insurance and limited availability. Literally, The ccx had 30 units produced and it was their most prolific production line, The Agera line had more total, but 25 was the most for individual models with the RS. It took until 2016-17 with the Regera to break 30, where they produced 80, and now with the Jesko their doing the most ever at 125 units. All their cars are also above the $1M mark by a considerable margin (Generally) and so the insurance would be mind-boggling. Not to mention how hands on Koenigsegg is with everything and how careful they are about saying speed figures and details like that, so it would make sense for both parties to go "Well, sucks we can't do an episode on it....anyway". But still, woulda been pretty sick to see Jezza James and Richard whip around at 280+ mph on the Grand Tour, but I think the same factors would apply.
