Never ever put your kids on your insurance policy. When my daughter turned 16 we got her her own cheap car with her own insurance. Young people can't drive. Period. After they get in an accident your rates will skyrocket. Keep it separate. My daughter went through 5 or 6 junk cars before she got a new one. Your stupid if you by a young person a new car.

Problem is these days a decent used car is not far off from buying new.

So buying them a cheap car wont help cause it rates them on all policy vehicles.... but then I tell you the way to insure your kid cheap is to put them on a scooter? Whats the difference between the cheap car and the scooter if they are rated on all vehicles on the policy?

Could you make a video for my daughter explaining why she costs us so much?? LOL! Also, the difference between FULL & PLPD... She's not understanding me. She's paying us back for her own insurance and thinks $700 for 6 months of PLPD is alot.
So the cost of the vehicle cost is the biggest factor, then? Im thinking of giving my daughter our 2018 GMC Sierra. But like you guys said they are going to go off the higher priced vehicle we own anyways, correct?
