You’re welcome. I’m glad it was helpful
I really appreciate this video. Just bought my first car yesterday and I watched this video before this purchase. Thank you! Such a high quality video! Best regards.
Very informative. Erie is a highly rated carrier by consumer magazines so am glad you mentioned it as an option. A bit of a caveat: Erie is a regional carrier that only writes insurance in PA (its home state) and a few surrounding states.
Thank you for the great advice!!!!🙌🏼
You’re welcome
one minor accident one rolled through stop sign NY 23 years old driving a 2019 Nissan Kicks
Although it might a big search, Geico and Allstate are likely going to be a better fit. Maybe Travelers.
21, 3 points on Driving Record. Classified as “High Risk Driver,” quoted 600+ from the popular Insurance companies. This quote was for a Toyota Prius by the way.
Jai Rori im in the same boat haha besides i have a dodge charger 😂
Same 😂 im 23 680$ month sheeesh
First off, thank you for giving such great advice to those who need it and thank you for taking the time to respond to each and every person who asks for help.
Second, I’m 23 years old planning to buy a 2018 Challenger R/T Plus. Living in Texas, absolutely clean driving record, licensed driver for 3 years but no insurance history. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
You’re welcome. I’m glad I’ve been able to help so many people. For you, I would check Cover in the description since TX is their main state they try to get business.
I would also see if there is someone you live with that can add you to their policy. That would be the cheaper option until you have 6 months or more prior insurance.
Back up companies, Farm Bureau and Geico are the other competitive ones there
Thanks! I am 18 almost 19 and I own my car and just need insurance. I’m in the military and kinda need it when I get to my new command but when I was dumber before the military discipline I got into an accident and then I also had a few tickets so it’s really hard to find a decent price

21 (just got my license this month) mom has bad driving record so rather include just my dad if possible. 2001 Lexus GS300 California. So far, surprisingly like you said. AAA Gieco and progressive have been the best rates. I really wanted State Farm that’s what my dad has but for me they were charging a lot. Any other suggestions you got for me?
Who did you decide to go with
@@jaffescott390 I went with State Farm, they ended up being able to lower the price enough for me but I recently got in accidentally and they put 6 points on my license for a minor collision and raised my insurance to $250 a month so I’m leaving
Hello! Thank you for the video!
I just got my license, over 25, first time driver, what insurance would you recommend for mystang 2016, progressive said $930 a month.
I’m about to turn 21 and have a 2012 Ford Focus, which one do you recommend for me?

What’s the best for Texas I’m 17 no accidents just got my license I need insurance for 2019 Kia Forte they wanting 570 with State Farm on parents insurance plan what do I do?
You can do a few things. For certain you’re going to need to call several places until you find something cheaper. Make sure you have the right coverage.
You can fill out a quote on my site and I’ll have one of my guys check a few places or call farm bureau, Allstate and Geico to see if they have a better price for you.
You might have to raise your deductible to bring the risk profile for if your loan company will allow that.
19 and looking to buy a 2013 Honda Accord in eastern NC. Do you have any reccomendations?
Hello, Im 21, Im a new driver for about a year or so and i am getting my first manual. I want to see what are the best options for me in terms of insurance and the best prices possible
Best insurance in SoCal ?
I’m 20, getting a 2020 Honda Insight Ex, and I’m located in Pennsylvania. What’s the best auto insurance? I’ve been quoted $400-900
Get Progressive deductible for $1000 and pay for 6 months that will drop to $230-270
I’m from Arkansas and I have a 2008 XB release series I pay $150 for liability only
Im 20 and about to turn 21 in January, I just got a new 2020 dodge challenger and im looking for another insurance because I can just imagine how expensive it would be. I used to drive a 1998 Toyota 4runner with 230,000 miles on it and paid almost 200 for it. I also have 1 ticket in my life time which is No DL and Speeding 15 mph over the limit. I wonder what I can find for low price.
Hey I’m 22 years old and I want to get a camaro . I usually make somewhere between 2,054 on the low end a month all the way to 2,527 a month on a high end. I don’t want to bet out of my league but I want to know a few tips to get my insurance hopefully below 300/monthly. I’ve had a license since 18 and got a vehicle at 18 as well, but the car died on me. This will be my first attempt at insurance (yes that means I didn’t have any the last 4 years🙃). The final goal is to see what I need put as a down payment to afford a camaros insurance , get a 600-650/month apartment, and not be screwing myself . I have about 3-4 weeks until I have 1000 but I’ll probably put 1200-1500 down. Any help is appreciated!!!
You're probably 26 by now but if I was to tell a young driver how to get cheap insurance, I'd say drive CAREFULLY, and liability all the way, until you have something worth keeping insurance on. Also, there are websites that'll make insurance companies compete for your business. The one I use is insurify. And it's free.
Does the value of the car make a BIG difference in premiums?
ie $5,000 car vs $20,000 car??? In Texas
The value of the car does play a factor as well as the type of car. If it’s a station wagon (that’s what they label cross over vehicles) vs an Acura (most are listed as performance vehicles) even though they have similar safety ratings.
The value doesn’t change the risk but the overall possible payout a company would potentially have which will cost more the higher the value is.
So I’m 17 and just bought a 2008 F-150 and I live in Illinois. The issue is I don’t have my license but just my permit. I have no idea where to look, any ideas or suggestions?
Hey I live in New York. I am 26 and the insurance quote I got from Geico was 2,000 a Month. The cheapest quote I got was all state 565. I am a new driver
Geico is one of the more competitive companies for young drivers in NY. I would look into New York Mutual, Progressive and Travelers
i see you're still giving advice in the comments. I'm 20 years old thinking about getting a 2019 r/t scat pack plus. how do you think I should go about it and who is the best? ( i live in ga btw and have a 680+ transunion and equifax credit score and a 750 fico score idk if that helps narrow it down. ) thanks in advance.
Auto Owners and Esurance are the two I would get quotes from
I’m 19y old & I plan on getting a Dodge Challenger tomorrow not sure what year maybe 2017-18 but can’t really decide what insurance to get. I live in Columbus Ohio, not trying to pay a lot for insurance 🙄 My birthday is in 29 days so hopefully my rate will go down. I will continue to watch more of your videos for more info!
It might slightly be less. The biggest drop in price is when you turn 25. If you do need to shop Geico and Westfield are competitive in Oh.
Update? Did you get the challenger
Come on Joseph update

I like this vid. Good to know... I'm 23 and got a 2008 ford focus in TX and trying to get insurance, what would be good?? Or do I go under my parent insurance??..
It wouldn’t hurt to check a few places to get your own. Farm Bureau and Geico are the two I would look into.
getting a '18 Accord Sport soon in CA, dad has AAA but coworkers recommend geico bc of my age (22), should I go under my dad or go w the recommendation?
Christtian L it’s still likely cheaper to stay under your dads policy but it wouldn’t hurt to at least get a quote from Geico.

State Farm, Allstate and Geico are the ones I would look into
Hi! I'm 19 and live in New York. I got a traffic ticket back in January. I'm ashamed and disappointed about the dumb mistake I made. At first, the cost of my insurance was about $450 every six months with Geico. Later, it turned to $876.30 (my dad is the policyholder). I will be driving a different car now, a 2011 Lexus RX 350. My dad and I don't know if it's worth continuing with Geico or if it would be better to switch to a new insurance company. Could you please give us some insight on what would be best to do for this case? What insurance companies would you recommend?
Geico is one of the cheapest Options in New York with teen drivers. If your dad wants to re shop it I would look at Travelers and New York Central Mutual.
Think Insurance Thank you!
Turning 16, living in Minnesota and planning to get an older sedan like a Ford or Toyota around early 2000s years. What should I be expecting and what insurance
companies you recommend?
State Farm and North Star are going to be cheaper options to go with. Possibly Auto-Owners
So far the most affordable insurance I've come across was Progressive, but I keep seeing a lot of shady reviews about them. It's stressing me out because the other insurance rates were way above my budget. 26, 2015 Subaru outback. No accidents or tickets.
Vincisomething Progressive isn’t a bad company to go with. What prices are you getting and what state are you in?
@@ThinkInsurance Oregon. I was thinking of progressive, but got a little wary of some of the reviews I've seen.
It’s hard to tell because most insurance companies only get complaints. If you know what you need for coverage and you are properly protected you should be ok.
At least progressive is large enough to have a good handle on claims. You likely can call a local agent that sells progressive. If they have high ratings then you’ll get the best of both worlds. The agency I work for is 4.8/5 stars so having an agent like that may be worth it.
Even if you pay a few more $$ a month it sounds like it would be worth it to you to have that peace of mind

I’m a 21 year old from MD. My mom has Geico insurance and I plan on going underneath her plan. Do you have any suggestions for 2013 cars that won’t significantly increase her insurance?
Geico is pretty competitive for families with teens. I would check with 𝐔𝐒𝐀𝐀 and Travelers as other options
Any recommendations for the Bronx 18 years old Acura RSX type S😭 I got quoted 1600 by myself and mom doesn’t want to put me under her
From what I can see the average cost of insurance there is $300-$350/mo there 😔. I would check Nationwide, Progressive and State Farm.
That's awful but tbf you're young, have a luxury car, and a sports car(I assume), so that'll be very expensive to get insured imo. Plus I heard NY is really expensive anyways.
I’m 21 and live in Arizona, I want to buy a 2018 Honda Civic ex-t. What insurance would be the cheapest or should I just ask my mom to put the car in her name?
Safeco and Geico are 2 competitive companies there. It will likely be a lot cheaper under your mom if you go that route.
I bought my first car yesterday, a 2018 Kia Optima. A used, no accident/damage/recalls car under 25k miles. I am 24, no tickets or accidents, have had license for over 6 years. Previously driving my dads car that he sold, I was already a driver on the policy, 4 cars at $350 a month. My dealership even got my auto rate (4%) lowered bc I was supposed to add the car to our policy. Now my insurance, Elephant, wants to charge an additional $300 to add my new car! 😔 making our car insurance payment over 700 a month!! I need to obviously get my own policy. I want root insurance, but they take 3 weeks to quote 😳. I need something more immediate. I want a $500 deductible, have a 670 cc, and am in Texas. Ive gotten quoted 250 from geico, & progressive .. Do you think I could go any lower?
It sounds like Farm Bureau, and Geico are going to be the most competitive. Possibly try Erie or 𝐔𝐒𝐀𝐀 as well

Farm Bureau and Geico are who I would look into. Maybe State Farm as well
I am a 16 year old who wants a 1950s-1970s car plus I am trying to learn how to work on cars. The reason why I want a older car is the insurance quotes I have gotten have been cheaper though I only was able to get one company(The General) to give me a quote on older cars 188$ a month vs what a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee would cost me for lesser coverage which is around 275$.Is the Jeep worth the extra amount since I will be paying for my own insurance since I am not the biggest fan of newer cars since they are more complicated. Thanks in Advance!
Unnervingmute Zero If you’re not planning on putting collision on the older car almost all insurance companies will usually allow that. They might have to enter the vehicle manually since the VIN won’t pull any data.
If you do want collision I would do a quote through Hagerty. They specialize in classic vehicles.
The problem you’re running into is that classic cars typically have a higher value vs what blue book value is and if you wanted true full coverage you have to do what’s call “agreed value”. Most companies don’t offer that. They do “actual cash value”. If you don’t need full coverage then it’s typically not a problem

Leasing vs Buying won’t affect your insurance. I’m a fan of buying because leasing costs you more money overall (google it). There are a few companies that are competitive in NY right now for young drivers. I would look into Geico, New York Central Mutual and possibly Allstate

Geico and Erie are likely your best option possibly, Farm Bureau.
Be prepared for some issue with your license. Most insurance companies are designed to accept drivers under age 16 but they should be able to figure it out.

Plymouth Rock and Geico are two good options there or the Hanover
I have a tip, put your cars name under your moms and go to an agency have them look up a plan for you and do not pay their broker fee call the insurance company they find (affordable) and call them directly
So let’s say I out put the car under one of my parents name and I choose State Farm, do I call them? I’m kinda confused
I don't have a driver licence, yet. Can I still get a car insurance for my car?

I kinda fell like I got a steal cause my pops is gonna half the insurance
I live in Charlotte NC I just bought a 2010 Infiniti G37x sedan what insurance do you recommend?
I would quote Travelers first, then Progressive and Geico
I'm 20 (soon will be 21), live in Los Angeles, and looking for a 2009-14 Acura TL. I'm currently under my parent's insurance policy with Geico. Is it better to stay under parent's insurance policy or go on my own, or to find another insurance company with cheaper coverage? No speeding tickets or accidents.
More often than not it is going to be cheaper under your parents policy. Being under 25 years old is a higher risk than if your mom/dad is older than that.

I do not have a car yet but I’m trying to educate myself before I get one so I can get lower prices. Which car would you recommend and which insurance I live in New Orleans and I’m 19 .
Geico and Farm Bureau are going to be the places to start with
i AM 22 YEARS OLD AND FEMALE and just got my drivers license last week. I am saving up to buy a car by December.. i heard i would have to pay 600 a month minimum is that true? i live in upstate NY --i would be getting a small and cheap car (around 5k) just something to get me from point a to b while i finish school.
I am 20, I just brought a 2017 Honda Civic in Oregon which company do you recommend for me to look into?
I would look into Geico, Travelers and Safeco. Maybe Country Financial as well.
I’m 19 years old and looking to grab a Ford Focus Titanium 2012 or any other car in Michigan in the Lansing area. Any suggestions?
Unfortunately there isn’t an answer right now. All the laws of auto insurance in Michigan have just changed (literally days ago) and it’s hard to say who will be competitive.
The good news is, most of the laws are in your favor if you’re single, a non home owner and don’t have insurance yet because those are no longer rated against you.
I would take a guess and say Progressive is going to be a good option. Maybe AAA?
Hey, I'm 22 from Maryland, what insurance recommendations do you is best if I end up getting a 1994 lexus sc400 or 2002 lexus gs300
Erie and Geico are the two I would look at. I doubt the difference between cars will cost anything but it won’t hurt to have them run a quote with each vehicle
Question, If you get a quote online will getting the QUOTE itself raise the insurance rate of someone who lives in the same house with their own car? Also, I am 20 and probably getting an 05 Accord in NYC best Advice ?
Only if you call the same company they are with and somehow disclose you are in the same house as them AND you don’t have your own insurance they will likely add you to their policy as a possible risk.
If you’re calling around then no, there is no communication like that between companies.
The people you live will likely come up on conversation as possible drivers but no insurance company shares that type of information with another company.
I would look into Geico and Travelers and two good companies for drivers under 25 in New York
What would your recommendation be for an 18 year old looking to buy a 1996 Lexus LS400 in Maryland?
Allstate and Geico are the two I would start with
recommendations for CT 18 yrs old honda civic lx 2009?.. always so high
I would look at Geico and Progressive and possibly State Farm
Hi I’m 19 wanting to get a 2015 Toyota RAV4 in Arizona. No accidents or tickets. What do you recommend?
Check into Geico, Root and Safeco
I’m 18 and I live in California with a 2017 Chrysler 300 S Sedan and I want to get it insured, any recommendations or average cost?
If you bought it from a Chrysler dealership call then and ask if they have any affiliation or group memberships. I recall Chrysler had one years ago with 21st Century. Otherwise, try Geico or Wawanesa
I got an 2007 ford escape and I'm 20 and I also live in Hartly, delaware which insurance would you recommend?
Geico, Travelers and Nationwide are going to be good there
I'm 21-year-olds, I have an at-fault accident on my record. I currently bought a 2017 Ford Fusion and I live in Arizona. Any recommendations?
The companies I would look into are, Safeco, Geico, and American Family. Maybe even try Travelers if you want a 4th option
I’m 15 going to start driving but I am really good, 3.9 GPA, looking to drive a 2008 v6 mustang premium. What do u think I would be paying / which company’s I should look into? I live in Dallas Texas.
Geico, Nationwide and Progressive are going to likely be your best option.
Def get a quote before you buy the mustang, it's not likely going to be cheap with your age and that car
