that because people like you lack a basic understanding of how a rate is made, when a person in your area gets in a accident your rates go up.... lmfao yall really cant be this naive and not understand rates....
I mean no disrespect what I'm about to say. Let's suppose you hit my car slightly, fender bender at worst and it's your fault, I am going to get an attorney & rake up $29,000 in medical bills and demand your insurance pay the auto liability limits, normally they are $30K and it will be paid. The attorney, the doctors and I split the proceeds. Now, tell me, whose being greedy.
@@rogerbec5766you are assuming the people are just want to rip off the insurance company but my take is they do this because of the insurance companies are known for low balling or denying claims hoping the person filing the claim will accept what they are offered.
@@rogerbec5766 State Farm has a net worth of $134.8 billion dollars. 30K and 29 K is chump change to these insurers. Every time they have to pay out, they cry like a bitch like Mike Tyson just kicked their ass.
According to the speaker......Kemper. Mercury. National General. Travelers. Allstate. SAFECO. GEICO. Hartford. Progressive Direct. Liberty Mutual. Farmers. AAA.
Insurance is a scam. I have it, because my state requires it, but the company that I use DOES NOT ADVERTISE. No cute animated figures, no actors, no racecars, no boats, etc, none of that stuff that you know gets passed down to the consumer. Why pay for that?
It is a scam, for example using your credit report to unfairly raise your rates when credit score has nothing to do with driving habits. This should be illegal.
You’re not in good hands with Allstate as I was told by my Canadian lawyer. He claims they are the worst in the industry. I was a victim in a near fatal car accident and Allstate dragged the law suit out for seven years. My own insurance company told my wife and I they would have paid out in a fraction of the time whereas it was a cut and dry case as to who was at fault. This is cruel and an unjust way for conducting insurance business in terms of payouts. There needs to be laws against this sort of thing. My lawyer basically threatened to take the persons home that hit me as I was about to lose my own by default. I was no longer able to work and forced in to early retirement. Twenty years later I live with chronic pain and haven’t worked in Twenty two years. I am now sixty two years old and was only forty in the prime of my life the year of the accident. I feel cheated out of a normal fruitful life and had to close my business, a very sad situation indeed.
Damn dude thats one hell of a story I truly hope you have found a better purpose or reason to move on or has pushed you past the consequences of that accident, the system scammed you and you didn’t deserve it
That's a shame. There are laws in most places, but getting the government to go after huge, wealthy corporations is a different story. They donate lots to politicians (all parties, they don't care they just buy favors) and also have a bigger legal team than your Province (or State down here). Getting your local authorities to spend big money to punish a company on your behalf isn't easy, especially when they play golf with the insurance execs (allegedly). As much as I dislike the ambulance chasers who cause our rates to go up, I think if I were in a moderate to serious accident I would have them review my case just to protect myself. If you don't contract a lawyer pretty quickly where I live, you won't be able to if you find more serious injuries weeks later. You can't rely on them to do what's right so you have to be aggressive and open a case immediately to ensure evidence is collected and your interests are protected. I'm sorry this happened to you.
I have done more than 1k claims with USAA in the restoration industry and they’re amazing to their clients but can’t explain why you got cancelled ! Just some advice only file When you have a larger claim .
I have zero issues with them in 20 years with property and auto I pay a premium but they always pay legit claims and take care of their people. If you have USAA never leave them you'd be a f'ing idiot to.
I recently dropped USAA because I kept seeing negative comments on the internet. I did some research after the fact and saw their customer rating (1 star for the most part). I believe it was an excellent insurer in the not too distant past but allege that has changed for the worse. Before that I was with Chubb; that was reputed to be the best, though more expensive than many. Same scenario and the agent was offended at my reply when he denied knowing about the change. I have basically no claims, no address change. no violations. Will try the company I have insured with but will watch their reviews.
I was with Allstate for over 30 years, a wind storm took 68 tabs off my roof. Allstate adjuster told me we didn't count tabs on the ground and paid for only 13 missing on the roof. When I got the check for $233.00 it wasn't signed, it took almost 3 more months to get a signed check from Allstate. I called the State Insurance commission and Allstate called me once, the email address to mail in an updated claim wouldn't accept the information and photos. This company fails to be of service to its longtime customers. Oh, because Allstate didn't step up in the first place, I got ripped off by a substandard roofing company and now I we'll have to replace the roof because of too many to mention violations of code. This was a $15,000.00 lesson in life, I will never be trusting insurance companies or roofing contractors ever again. Learn from my mistakes people.
@@eddiedelzer8823 I've had to go to the state on auto claims. They came in and reviewed the claim and I got more $. My advice is never accept the first offer I'd you don't think it's fair, call the state if needed. For large homeowners claims get an attorney. We have a guy here in FL, Anthony Lopez, who is very good! We Pau these premiums like good customers, we need to hold insurance companies to their end of the bargain.
My experience is that insurance companies rely on their customers not bothering to shop around when renewal time comes. People, SHOP, SHOP, SHOP AROUND! Its very easy with the internet. GEICO screwed me with an unreasonable renewal rate increase and I had new insurance within an hour and saved $2K a year..
Good luck trying to move insurance companies when you need both car and home insurance... it's insane how different companies are rate-wise with the two. For example, one company has lower car rates, but crazy high home rates... or won't even agree to insure the home. Some have crazy high car rates and lower home rates. I've spent many hours trying to get quotes but can never find anything lower in-toto than what I'm paying.
@@Lileigh980 In an interview several years ago and according to former Fed Chair, Alan Greenspan; as long as the The Fed is charge of the money supply that will never happen.
I agree 100% about avoiding Allstate. Many years ago, when I was 26, I had moved to a new state and purchased my first car. I had been driving for years and had no violations, but this was the first auto I actually owned. I paid a visit to an Allstate office located in a Sears store (Sears owned Allstate at that time). I filled out the application and was told to return in a couple of days after their regional office located in Mississippi had a chance to review the application and approve it. There was no hint of any problem. When I came back a couple of days later, I was shocked when they told me my application had been declined. No reason was given but I had my suspicions that race had something to do with it. Within a day or so, I had secured coverage with another insurer (I think it was Liberty Mutual) with no problem whatsoever. That is the only time in my life I have ever been turned down for insurance coverage. I vowed at the time that I would NEVER buy insurance of any kind from Allstate and I have kept that vow for over 50 years. I never have, and I never will!!! My current car insurance is with State Farm and I am very happy with it and their local agent I deal with.
Allstate did the same thing to me in my 20s. I think it was purely because I was young, but it gave me the same bad taste and I avoided them. In my 40s I made the mistake of signing up with one of their subsidiaries as my daughter was working for an Allstate Agent and the price seemed good. After a year they more than doubled the renewal price despite no claims or tickets. Dumped them on the spot and won't bother trying again. I know a few people who are happy with State Farm but they've never given me a decent quote so I've not tried them. I am with Progressive now and they are ok so far. I've left and returned a couple of times as others give teaser rates for a year then raise them too much. I will still check around if there is a big jump, but it's not worth the hassle to fill everything out over and over again to save a little here and there, so I'm over messing around with all of the ones that tease with low rates. Good on you for sticking with one, so long as they take care of you why change!
It’s not just Allstate. All companies want to lower your coverage for a low cost premium. As you said, if you want to pay less, they want to give you less, then raise the cost of your premium in the very next billing cycle..
Statefarm just raised my insurance by 60.00 I also had no tickets, no accidents , nothing! The damn car is parked from Mon-Fri .. switched to local progressive for 40 bucks cheaper same coverage too!
Mercury just raised my rate $500 for 6 months. No accidents, 8 discounts, work from home 4,500 miles per year (12 miles per day highest). I have to pay for all the illegal aliens. I'm leaving Mercury Insurance when my current policy ends next month. All these companies suck.
In Arizona the State Atorney Generals Office has long referred to State Farm Insurance as "snake farm insurance" because state farm had demanded that their clients that had been hospitalized due to auto accidents be removed from hospital beds as they were not going to pay for hospitalization whether the accident was the client's fault are not. The Arizona AG office has been busy over the years, suing state farm forcing them to honor their contractual agreements.
100% untrue as far as SF ordering how medical care treatment is administered. Handled THOUSANDS of BI claims and never once made any kind of request like that. Mistakes are made and there are times when SF has dropped the ball, but this claim here is 100% BS.
@@johnc1848Your comment is invalid for two reasons. First this is social media, Lol, you could claim to have cured cancer and have no facts to prove who you are and what you’ve done. Secondly, it’s AMERICA where almost every ins agency is looking more like a scam then an agency that honours the insurance policies their consumers pay.
I would add the general as one of the worst companies to deal with, so far. They start out cheap, but raise your rates shortly after joining and the first time you get in an accident they jack your rates way up. I went from $129 a month to 250, 350, 459, 750, $1000. When I decided to cancel they want to charge me $350 to cancel. Also they have very long claims approval waiting time.
If an insurance company wanted to be fair, they would insure the driver and not the car. How hard can it be to insure a driver for $100,000.00 for liability? Facing the fact that one driver has to be insured for multiple autos is a money-maker for the insurance companies. More cars, more money! Can you drive more than one car at a time? If the insurance council had an eye for the customer, this would be the standard.
I've insured with State Farm off and on for around 20 years. I would call them a "legacy" company since my grandfather also insured with them. Their rates have been climbing around 10% every 6 months. However, they have an agent around pretty much every corner, I have an e-bike insured with them as well as my car, and they offered me a transponder to track my driving so that I'm paying a rate based on my own driving and not someone else's. I'd give them at least a 9 out of 10.
My wife and I have also had really good service from State Farm. She has survived several attacks by deer the last few years and State Farm quickly repaired the car with high quality parts. She got rear ended in Milwaukee while stopped at a RED stop light by a commercial vehicle which crunched her rear end fairly well and State Farm took over and quickly repaired her car - where the other insurance company was going to drag it out for months. Then State Farm collected from the other insurance company.
If you have a company that takes in people's money EVERY month and in return promises to pay you back some money IF....THATS IF.... something ever happens to you or your family and even then fights like hell to not even give you that. I'LL TAKE THAT DEAL ALL DAY LONG AND TWICE ON SUNDAY!! They have already lobbied the government to give them privileges with certain laws so they will always come out on top. We are definitely a slave to them and always will be!!
I was in the Army from Dec. 7, 1965 through Dec. 6 1967. From the last part of 1966 until I got out, I lived off base near Fort Bragg, N. C. I had Allstate Insurance. Didn't have any tickets, I had my address changed while there, when I came back to MIchigan, I called and let them know I was back in MIchigan. I got a letter in the mail telling me that they were cancelling my insurance because of high mileage on my car. I tell anyone that I talk to that I would stay away from Allstate!
A few years ago there was a report about Allstate where several customers with Allstate policies claimed Allstate has the highest claim denial for auto accidents, even if the other driver was at fault. Around 80% of Allstate claims are denied. Keep in mind most county police will not do a police report for an accident when private or public property is not damaged or no passengers were injured. That gives the insurance company ultimate leeway to decide fault. When they deny claim then you have to get an attorney.
Never heard this from anyone! If you have collision coverage, it does not matter if you are at fault or not…your insurer covers your car ACV less deductible, and may subrogate against the responsible party.
@@simon359 I had a major issue with Allstate 20 years ago with my auto policy. I ended up cancelling the policy. Allstate has been on the bottom of the list for a very long time.
I work in insurance, I must agree. Once reputable, but I had to fight the adjuster. One things many do not know is if you file under your coll, your insurance places you at fault. Fortunately I caught on, and I insisted that the vehicle was parked, and was hit. It is not collision b/c the vehicle was not moving. I worked for them for a short time, worst company to sell with too. The agencies must compete against Allstate online. The company does not provide any marketing to their agents and agents must pay out of pocket for their marketing sources. Not a single person lasts more than a month working there.
Have you ever been in an accident or had something major happen to your home? If you had good coverage with a good company you likely avoided having to pay tens or hundreds of thousands after paying a few thousand over the years
Of course it is a scam. Let's say your insurance premium is $3,000 a year. You paid every month on time. Guess what, you just gave away $3,000 for FREE to an insurance company just to have the right to legally drive your car. It's like you're playing the lottery every year, except you never win but when you do and you need the money, they will make it impossible for you to spend any of it. What about life insurance companies? The older you get the more they raise your rates and the best part is, if you're too old, they won't accept you at all or if you have a pre-existing condition, they will deny you completely. Insurance companies sell insurance to people who don't need and will never use it because they know they get to keep 100% of the money. The customer never receives back any sort of incentive.
If all insurance is a scam, then don’t buy insurance. Problem solved. I am fully insured, and that protects me from folks that aren’t insured. Therefore, I could care less whether other people are insured.
One of the earliest things in my life I remember was at age 5 (1955) when my Dad told me "Son, never buy Allstate Insurance". I have followed that advise all of my life. I personally have found Farmers, Shelter, and State Farm to never have any issues. The most important key is to find and have a great agent who will go to bat for you hitting a home run every time (when needed) going that extra mile for you. One example is how a Shelter agent "cherry picked" a claims person to get my roof replaced from a hale storm.
I was with State Farm for 30 years (auto, home, medical) with no claims and no traffic citations. Wthe last time the policies came up for renewal, State Farm doubled my auto and home insurance premiums with no explanation. I switched to Erie and for the past 15 years my home and auto insurance premiums have been far below State Farm and have gone up only marginally during this period. Way back when I was 16 and my father added me to his auto insurance policy with Hartford, he was cancelled despite 15 years with no claims and no traffic citations. I vowed then NEVER to buy any kind of insurance from Hartford.
I’ll stay with USAA! When you call for info and help, they are the most courteous, informative and nice to speak with. They answer all questions and when we needed repair to our car, they were quick to respond. Had an accident with a Progressive customer who backed into my car. It took six months to get everything settled. All it was is a dent in the front panel of my car. Their customer hit and ran away from my parked car. Unfortunately, for them, someone was watching and got their license place number. 😊
Farm Bureau of NC has been cheapest company I called and I called basically all the main ones. A lot of the smaller ones seem to use bigger ones for insurance.
The basic rule of insurance is to avoid a payout or at least delay it until the next reporting period. My neighbor was a long time NW agent. They paid ‘bonuses’ on basis of loss ratio. My son worked for LM and he told me that they assume people won’t switch agents, so they try to increase premiums knowing you won’t leave. And , Allstate is good hands until a claim and then arthritis sets in!
I’m tired of every 6 months I always have a higher bill they never had to pay out no tickets no accident I feel they owe me a check instead of using my money for irresponsible drivers and my rates keep going up and because were I live this is a monopoly that needs to stop!
I have been with State Farm for 25 years or so, cars and two houses, and they are very affordable. I never had a claim until last year when a huge hail storm came in... They paid for all my damage with out any fuss...I am beyond happy with State Farm and they paid out my roof claim, the first half and second half, instantly.... My agent even called me a month after my claim was closed and ask if I am happy with the repairs and offered to help if I had any concerns...Wonderful guys....
I've also had State Farm for 20 years here in Alabama. One 4-27 2011, an F-5 tornado hit Pleasant Grove, Al where I was living. For us, my wife and I, our agent really came through. Our house was a complete loss with all the contents. Everything was covered except 2 cars in our driveway which had liability only, not collision. I can only speak for my situation, but my State Farm agent, Maurice Oliver, was great.
From our ( my wife and I ), experience, your agent can play a significant role in your satisfaction or disappointment regarding an insurance co. We have had agents that, if there was a problem on our end, would speak out on our behalf and, for the most part, get the situation resolved. Also, I think agents in smaller towns tend to have more of a caring attitude towards their customers.
State farm is high they raised my insurance up another $50.00 for no reason the law needs to be changed so that you don't have to have insurance then they would be willing to lower their prices to compete with other companies
I worked for a very popular insurance company, in claims, for 6 years. I've seen hundreds upon hundreds of auto and home claims from multiple states come across my desk , and from the experience that I've seen, Nationwide Insurance and Allstate Insurance are the 2 biggest companies that will screw you out of your claims the most, by far. Nationwide is definitely the worst, especially with auto accidents. The best ones I've had experience with has been USAA and Farm Bureau
The secretary of my Insurance Agent (A friend) told me recently of a new deal with Home Owners Insurance. The "Deal"? "Two claims, and you are dropped" She said. Over how much time? No time frame She said. All Insurers are in on it. Then, if you do find coverage, you will pay out the azz for it. If you file a claim and are turned down, that still counts as an "Incident". She calls it "Two Strikes and you are out". She said a big contributor to this was homes getting a new roof after Hail Storms, often old roofs that were due for shingle replacement. Another form of cost control.
I have allstate for home and auto and had storm damage to my roof. It took me 6 months and 4 different adjustors to get my claim finalized. Were not willing to help at all....
as a liberty mutual agent, local agents haven more become Comparion agents HOWEVER when you call in you get a specific licensed agent and can get their direct number to keep the same agent. state farm 2 years and LM 8 years.
I’m with you on Progressive, and so forth. If you tell them you’re licensed they immediately hike your price instead of providing better price and coverage. When you’ve tried to use “price your own tool”, not everything you’d like to build your own policy. I can’t stand them.
Many years ago had Allstate until they left the state had Liberty Mutual they dropped me after one very minor accident neither one will ever get my business ever again all insurance is a scam unfortunately it’s an evil necessity where the consumer is the one that ultimately always gets screwed
we had Allstate for a long time. We were paying something like $4000 a year. for two cars. Full insurance. Now we got a letter that they sold our policy to some other insurance. Yearly $10,000. We dont have any accident or tickets. Crazy
Happened to us with homeowners insurance years ago. Then made one little claim after a major hurricane. They dropped us as soon as they paid. We'd been paying for 15 years though.
I was involved in two minor accidents and was not at fault in either one. Both times state farms reps called my home and upon identifying me said "we are not going to pay for this" both times. In one instance they wanted me to pay the tow bill, and have the wrecker bring the vehicle to my house for storage. And then tried to say the accident was 20% my fault. On the second occurrence basically the same thing with the exception of paying to repair the broken automatic seat adjusting motor gear box that was broken when I went flying back into the seat after being rammed from behind. In both cases I sued and got considerable sums for settlements. The truth is I would have settled much cheaper if they had tried not to cheat me. Now, the lawyer gets the call no matter what, to hell with these legalized crooks.
I previously had Kemper. Lady crashed me and left scratches and dents on my 2 passenger doors. When I filed a claim, it all happened in less than 2 weeks. Filled a claim, they sent me the money and chose my auto body repair shop.
Not to Be Named Company, first letter P, has REPEATEDLY added a 93 year old Mother, to the Current Insurance Policy and all additional policies at the same address! She used to the Insured by the P company, but She Surrendered her driver license in 2020 and no longer has a drivers license! The Agent knows her personal and knew she surrendered her license, but continued to act like, it’s normal to leave her on the policy, even though it is Increasing the Rate substantially! This more than doubled the rate for last 4 years and the Agent called Mom a close friend! Lawsuit Pending!
What's even more annoying is that many employers prefer people who can drive and have their own car. So I'm paying for insurance and maintenance for a car, and then commuting on a bicycle, but if I get rid of my car then my employers will take issue with that and finding new jobs would be even more of a pain.
I have a theory: rates are up to cover the expense of those companies paying for EVs and natural disasters. They can't have their profits impacted by anything.
I recently just moved from Michigan to Texas. Since Michigan is still a no fault state I thought car insurance would be cheaper in Texas. I was with AAA in Michigan. To get the same coverage I had in Michigan it was going to be $130 more per month with AAA. So I did some research and shopped around and State Farm is who I went with. Same coverage and same price as what I was paying in Michigan. If you have good credit, go with State Farm.
Be careful, my father-in-law had State Farm for his house insurance for about 45 years. One $30000 claim and the dropped him. In 1999 there was a large tornado in Moore, Oklahoma. State Farm was sued(and lost) for lowballing home owners for replacement and repairs. In the 1980s(before I lot of laws against this kind of behavior was passed), my sister was hit by a State Farm customer. They tried to put a fender from the the far east on her GM car. Would not even hold paint. All this, plus an article I read quite few years ago rules out State Farm, Farmers, and Allstate for me. These three companies hired a consultant to essentially learn how to cheat their customers(low balling, hard to read fine print, etc.).
I will not do any emergency tree service for a customer who has Allstate unless The customer signs a contract and pays me directly in cash when the job is done
Farmers actually sucks. I had them for years. Come a claim time, the adjuster told me they don't pay for anything. Cost me some $6,000 out of pocket. On top of that, I went from $400 a year premium cost to $900 a year for my home in just 3 years. They love adding crap to your policy that is worthless, you can't deny and get screwed paying for it.
Had a similar experience with them. They kept adding useless stuff to charge me for with no option to drop it. One claim, denied.... my cost $6,000.00. I dumped them a year later.
The only thing you can say for sure about Insurance company prices is there isnt a cheaper one. Different companies are cheaper for different people. Also their coverages are different from one another, making it difficult to compare to each other, since the policies arent identical.
Devastated hailstorm , whole town hit. I had 55% lower adjustment then lowest per Farm Bureau agents report. Also my house was the ONLY one in town that did not get ANY new siding awarded. What was my co? Well just say they are on your backside, not on your side. And I had a 2 story house faced directly into in storm.
I live in a rural area of Northwest New Jersey. Farmers auto insurance was insane in comparison to Allstate I have used Allstate for the past 2 years for home and auto. I use Milewise for my auto insurance, though I have to have an OBD data plug that monitors my driving, I pay 7.00 dollars per week for full coverage. I also bundled my home insurance and it has gone up 100.00 this year.
I had two hail damage claims on my home. Liberty Mutual paid claims with no issues. Other neighbors with other big name insurance companies did not have a good experience.
Allstate, literally told my sister that they would no longer accept her as a customer because she lapsed 3 days in the policy. That was crazy, she had to find a new insurance company. I guess she wasn't in good hands "as they claim". I've always learned, insurance companies are not your friends, you're not in good hands and they aren't your good neighbors.
Find a Citizens Insurance-agent if they’re in your state (not FL’s Citizens/carrier of last resort). They have a few programs for teen drivers that can save a chunk. Also, if you can sign up for AARP and AMAC, you get a good discount.
I like your information presented. I am looking to know if there is a central data reporting place where all cargo damages, theft, losses are reported by insurance companies for the USA? Your help is greatly appreciated.
Why is it when i purchased auto insurence six years ago, i paid the first month premium when i took the policy. I had automatic payments. I just changed companies and had four days left on my old insurance till that month ran out . My new company insurance is to start the next day. When i cancelled my old one they said i will be charged for the month. If its two days before the next month and it's cancelled, why am i being chrged again after its canceled,? My new policy is paid in advance for the month, same as my last one. The other insurane company is scamming me.
It depends on the day you started your old policy. Sometimes people change the due date as well, but that doesn’t change the renewal date. IE: if you started the policy on the 22nd but changed your payment date to the 28th, 6 years later you cancel as of the 25th, you owe 3 day still. If that’s not the case, they might be saying it’s too late to stop the payment if you cancel only a day or two before it pulls. In that scenario they would refund the payment back.
I’ve had a number of accidents here in Tucsons Az dangerous drivers area , where the people by weird coincidence happen to be Allstate insured, well my premiums went up with the insurance I had due to cost so I went shopping and decided to go with the common insurance here in Tucson, the cost was ok but not good enough so I told them my past against them and wouldn’t you want me on your side, instead of against you and they weren’t helpful so I went somewhere else
Business dealing with public 160 thousand a year for insurance. Claims all the time. New solicitor said cancel insurance. No more claims no solicitor will take a case if there is no insurance. He saves 160thousand a year
Geico is a real nightmare to adjust a claim. Who has before and after pictures of everything in your front yard. Who is going to waste time settling a claim for materials only, if you send them the receipts. Good luck getting to the claim form.
Anyone notice the insane amount of money liberty mutual Geico state farm an All state spends on tv commercials. Absolute no way they gonna give you a low quote. How could they afford to advertise that much if they did. I never would consider these insurance co....
USAA recently avoided paying me for minor hail damage by totalling out my car and then telling me the lie that my car would automatically get a salvage title FOR MINOR COSMETIC DAMAGE. It simply wasn't true. They just wanted me to get rid of my car so they could get me to buy a new one therefore charging me more for insurance. They offered me a deal, but not enough to compensate for another car, which I don't want.
I was involved in a vehicle collision I was a passenger any other driver that hit us is 100 at fault so I have two insurance companies, the primary is the other drivers, in the secondary is the drivers that I was in, the secondary is paying policy maximum limits heels and they're equal as far as the limits go. Is it a bad idea to tell the primary Insurance Company that the other underinsured secondary insurance company is paying policy limits... ...Will that put the pressure on the primary Insurance Company to do policy limits for a settlement ?
I would let the insurance companies do their due diligence and pay out based on their findings. It’s rare they pay out extra by mistake 🤓. If you’re concerned, and you think it is a mistake then it’s better to get clarification now than them asking for the money back later.
I've had Mercury and Travellers over the years, the both have been good to me. Mercury did me right on a car accident, and Travellers did a great job when my Truck was totalled and House had holes through the roof. (2016 Wylie hail storm) State Farm and Allstate SUCK!
We had truck accident. Over 45 days the adjuster hasn't looked at the truck because too far. The storage yard is threatening to sell our truck for what we owe, and we've been told by adjuster that that is our problem. They have paid recovery to vendor and towing service took 40000 lbs of aluminum to scrap ( $16000). Who does that belong to? And last, now we've been told that we didn't have our trailer insured. We have 10 cois that say we did but broker says our contract says no. Anybody
I have two auto's, one personal and one with commercial plates... along with a renter's policy, general liability policy (my company) and a third vehicle with commercial plates primarily used for my business... do you have experience with MA? this state is overly expensive to live in and insurance does not fall from that observation as well!
I only buy insurance because it's required. I buy the cheapest I can find and just drive extremely defensively. Haven't needed to make a claim for 30+ years. (Fun Fact: Statistically, an uninsured driver is safer than an insured one.)
USAA has my home insurance and It is very high, even with discounts. I had my car insured with them but then I switched to another company and they were about 40% cheaper. After I dropped them I was contacted by customer service and they said that it is the computer that caculates the figures SO I told them to keep relying on their computers for ripping off customers with great driving record. I am a delivery driver and drive over 2000 miles a week for 30 years, zero accidents. If that is not enough then what is? Geico is not exactly that bad, however, they want to inquire about specific issues that are not discount related but to increase my rate which at this point I am feeling like dropping them from my other insurance policy since I haven't gotten a discount in a while and do have in higher payments. Every employee fails to realize that if they want a pay increase companies are forced to raise prices on their products, however, like someone in this video said that we shouldn't be paying for the stupid TV commercials ( cough cough, T Mobile) or the radio. These commercials are so annoying.
Sir, Since I have all state insurance , they use after market parts on their insurance claims at their body approved shops. Always saving money on their customers. Larry
I think going with a local company is better then a branded company. Wife had some off branded insurance its less and it actually does stuff not like GEICO, Farmers, State Farm. These all suck!
“Entrance Exam” models for insurance rates makes all the common sense in the world! Though you would have to go “on-site.” Similarly to getting a drivers permit, you can study all you want but you can’t take the test at home. This idea is pure GOLD and you should run with it! Why not create your own not-for profit insurance company that actually serves its people. We are all completely over the price hikes in auto, home and medical insurance in this country of the U.S.A. It’s time for a better change, not a bitter change. Do you wonder what bitter change would be? Well I will tell it to you straight: when the people have had enough of the squeeze and the price gouging - they leave. Meaning no one uses the model of “insurance” anymore, what a sad time for all of us if that becomes true.
I love how my renewal jumped up to $70 a month extra for literally no reason. No tickets. No claims. Same address. On time payments.
Similar situation with me. Insurance spreads risk amoung a large group, so we are paying for the errors of the group.
AND ADVERTISING
Mine did the same and when asked why they say they'll check and they never get back to me
that because people like you lack a basic understanding of how a rate is made, when a person in your area gets in a accident your rates go up.... lmfao yall really cant be this naive and not understand rates....
Me too. Progressive.
I dislike car insurance companies!!! They are greedy!!! They keep raising the prices!!! 😣

No cute animated figures, no actors, no racecars, no boats, etc, none of that stuff that you know gets passed down to the consumer.

Wait until you have a claim? Or after. WHO?
depends on how much assets you have to protect.
I was no longer
able to work and forced in to early retirement. Twenty years later I live with chronic pain and haven’t worked in Twenty two years. I am now sixty two years old and was only forty in the prime of my life the year of the accident. I feel cheated out of a normal fruitful life and had to close my business, a very sad situation indeed.
Damn dude thats one hell of a story I truly hope you have found a better purpose or reason to move on or has pushed you past the consequences of that accident, the system scammed you and you didn’t deserve it
I’m so sorry brother. That’s a very heartbreaking story. I am praying for you.
USAA is the worst of the worst. 20 years in military, one claim (less than $3000.00) and I got cancelled.
I have done more than 1k claims with USAA in the restoration industry and they’re amazing to their clients but can’t explain why you got cancelled ! Just some advice only file
When you have a larger claim .
On the car insurance side, USAA has been great for me since 1981.
I’ve been with USAA since 1987 and have files 10-15 claims. I still keep them based on how good they have been.
Abolish the entire insurance industry.

Same asvice of shopping around comes from Prepper Princess!!

Lower cost means lower coverage? In what universe does this not make sense?
@nickv4073 - Right?! This person literally just asked, "I pay for less, so why should I receive less?"
The Arizona AG office has been busy over the years, suing state farm forcing them to honor their contractual agreements.
this should be good publicity for them nationwide, lol
100% untrue as far as SF ordering how medical care treatment is administered. Handled THOUSANDS of BI claims and never once made any kind of request like that. Mistakes are made and there are times when SF has dropped the ball, but this claim here is 100% BS.

I would add the general as one of the worst companies to deal with, so far. They start out cheap, but raise your rates shortly after joining and the first time you get in an accident they jack your rates way up. I went from $129 a month to 250, 350, 459, 750, $1000.
I like this idea!
Several?!

Wow..several deer attacks.

Who are you kidding, ALL insurance is a SCAM !
You're right
Have you ever been in an accident or had something major happen to your home?
If you had good coverage with a good company you likely avoided having to pay tens or hundreds of thousands after paying a few thousand over the years
Then don’t buy insurance….problem solved.
I don't think Allstate has ever been fair and I speak from experience of many years!

State Farm is one of the WORST paying claims - they do not want to pay claims.
I dumped Liberty Mutual because they wanted to raise my annual rate $500.
You are lucky that's all they raise it
The secretary of my Insurance Agent (A friend) told me recently of a new deal with Home Owners Insurance.

I have had great experience with American Family Insurance. Big part is your agent...mine is very good.
The funny thing is over the years the amount they covered you for will have far surpassed

State Farm did the same thing to me, even after taking them a death certificate. I dumped them.
I worked in auto insurance and learned over the years that the word "coverage" is also a plural and that "coverages" is often misused.
What's even more annoying is that many employers prefer people who can drive and have their own car. So I'm paying for insurance and maintenance for a car, and then commuting on a bicycle, but if I get rid of my car then my employers will take issue with that and finding new jobs would be even more of a pain.

Been with usaa for 30 years. Best company hands down.
Ive been with AAA California for 40 years no problems
I will not do any emergency tree service for a customer who has Allstate unless The customer signs a contract and pays me directly in cash when the job is done
Farmers actually sucks. I had them for years. Come a claim time, the adjuster told me they don't pay for anything. Cost me some $6,000 out of pocket. On top of that, I went from $400 a year premium cost to $900 a year for my home in just 3 years. They love adding crap to your policy that is worthless, you can't deny and get screwed paying for it.
Ugh I just got farmers cause of a buy out of met life or whoever I had I forget at the moment but the prior was good
Had a similar experience with them. They kept adding useless stuff to charge me for with no option to drop it. One claim, denied.... my cost $6,000.00. I dumped them a year later.
Was treated pretty good by allstate new roof and damage to vehicles
The only thing you can say for sure about Insurance company prices is there isnt a cheaper one. Different companies are cheaper for different people. Also their coverages are different from one another, making it difficult to compare to each other, since the policies arent identical.
its not useful when you list every company i ever heard of.
$7.00 a week in what world?. How about. 😮$100 per month or $600 per 6month premium.
@@glynnjohnson3531 Allstate Milewise..I work from home.
You mentioned USAA. I recently switched my auto coverage from USAA to Travelers. Very similar coverage for 1/2 the price.
Thanks for the good videos 😊
I had two hail damage claims on my home. Liberty Mutual paid claims with no issues.
Other neighbors with other big name insurance companies did not have a good experience.
Allstate-I received 6 different bids for home insurance. I will never use them again.
My car insurance jumped up 21 percent for the new year of 2024. With 3 teenagers the wife and me I am gonna be in the poor house.
State Farm
Mine too this month in mass
Find a Citizens Insurance-agent if they’re in your state (not FL’s Citizens/carrier of last resort). They have a few programs for teen drivers that can save a chunk. Also, if you can sign up for AARP and AMAC, you get a good discount.
I like your information presented. I am looking to know if there is a central data reporting place where all cargo damages, theft, losses are reported by insurance companies for the USA? Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks 🙏🏼. The central reporting for claims and tickets is usually with a company called Lexis Nexis
I've had bad experiences with
State Farm & National General
USAA just quadrupled my homeowners Insurance 1200$ to 5400$ recently. Allstate was a nightmare to deal with on claims.
He saves 160thousand a year
When it comes to shady adjusters and crappy overall customer service, The Hartford ranks number one.
I really need to buy an auto insurance and I reside in CA. Please recommend an affordable one and easy to deal with. Thank you.
Mercury and Wawanesa are two companies I would look into. Geico is likely the cheaper option
@ThinkInsurance that doesnt make sense to me...did you read my question?
@@OneLifeOneMillionChoicesyou should ask your agent lol
I've had Mercury and Travellers over the years, the both have been good to me. Mercury did me right on a car accident, and Travellers did a great job when my Truck was totalled and House had holes through the roof. (2016 Wylie hail storm) State Farm and Allstate SUCK!
After the last 5 years i have found out all these insurance companies suk.
Which one you recommend for Car insurance?
Hi! Please do an update video on this topic if things have changed.
💯% will. Lol, it could be daily but every few months or at least once a year I plan to
I only buy insurance because it's required. I buy the cheapest I can find and just drive extremely defensively. Haven't needed to make a claim for 30+ years. (Fun Fact: Statistically, an uninsured driver is safer than an insured one.)
Like I was told you drive good but others don't
What car insurance do you use?
Aflac is also one that is not paying claims on timely I've filed a claim 10 months ago and still no payment
Is AFLAC the company that contracts their advertising to a challenged Duck?
Thank you for the video. Blessings to you..
10 years or newer roof for a basic shingle roof sure but there's stuff that lasts way longer
Hello how are you doing which insurance is the Best for People to used ❤❤please
“Entrance Exam” models for insurance rates makes all the common sense in the world!
Though you would have to go
“on-site.” Similarly to getting a drivers permit, you can study all you want but you can’t take the test at home.
