      I totally get where you're coming from. It can definitely feel like insurance companies are making things harder for people, especially with how expensive it can get. But on the flip side, insurance can really help out when something unexpected happens-like a car accident or medical emergency. I think part of the problem is that some companies charge way too much, which makes it feel like a scam. But not all of them are like that. For example, Insurance Panda has car insurance starting at just $25/month, which is way more reasonable than most. I guess it's about finding the right company that doesn’t overcharge you.

    I am so frustrated and disgusted. I drive less than 1000 miles a year and have an old car. I did have fairly inexpensive insurance, but they raised it $120 per year for no reason. It's bs..they charge good drivers for the BAD drivers...ie if your area has a lot of auto accidents your rate will increase even if you are a perfect driver!!!!!

    • @couponuser
      @couponuser 10 месяцев назад

      @@rockygraziano2339 The answer lies in the response you provided. At the age of 71, and especially after turning 60, insurance carriers categorize you as a high-risk driver, akin to a teenage driver. They base this assessment on the assumption that your cognitive skills have declined, increasing the risk to other drivers. Additionally, being on a fixed income suggests you may lack the financial means to cover car repairs, potentially leading to more claims in the future. Surprisingly, having a history of no accidents or claims could be interpreted as complacency in driving, heightening the likelihood of filing a claim. The subsequent increase in premium rates serves as a subtle indication that they prefer not to have you as a customer. If in doubt, observe their response when you inquire about a senior discount.

      Insurance companies are SCAMS. Unfortunately, not many people realize that and keep paying outrageous amounts. I play musical insurance companies. When they raise my rates, I move on and can usually find a better deal. Unfortunately, I have "bottomed out." My insurance company just raised my rates for no reason. I am not happy about it, but so far, I haven't been able to find anything for less. It's just the principle of the whole thing. They raise rates because they can. They don't care a thing about customer loyalty or good driving records.

    Liberty Mutual's policy premium on my 2022 Toyota Corolla LE is $2312, for 9/2024-9/2025, No accidents or tickets. (Liability premium is $455, Collision $1447, and some small ticket items) This is a LOT MORE than the bargain that Think Ins quoted, earlier in the year. Liberty Mut has gone automated & is very hard to reach. They're slow to respond to claims & Low Mileage report. Worst of all, their monthly payment jumped $100 in Oct 2024! Will be shopping around. I didn't mean to get so much electronic overkill in this car, bought 2 months ago. So much to go wrong, like the automatic parking brake! It's tempting to get just liability ins, and when my car gets damaged, I'll buy something that's easily repaired--and take the bus more.

    I hate it when people say Yes I understand that you want it cheap, but you're not really getting enough coverage or your coverage should be in different areas and yes that will make your rate go up a little bit but it's worth it because... If I can't afford my mandatory state minimum insurance, what makes you think that I have the money to shell out for extra insurance? If I am drowning because of the cheapest payment option I have because my insurance company keeps raising their rate every renewal period for no fault of my own but just because of inflation, when my job does not pay me more because of inflation, how are you supposed to sit there and judge that I want the bare minimum for my car insurance, when I have to go through an insurance agent, and insurance agents make commission? How in the world is this a system built on reason, how is this not just screwing the consumer on every line, and how is it not the best option to save up your own emergency fund while paying the bare legal minimum for car insurance?

    • @JamieJohnson-on2jz
      @JamieJohnson-on2jz 2 месяца назад +1

      Especially because at the end of the day, if you do actually get into an accident, you will have to fight with literally any insurance to get coverage for the things that you have been paying for coverage for, while likely working the same hours that your insurance agent does, so you would literally have to take a day off from your own job, or call your auto insurance agent from the hospital if you were in a really really bad accident, just for the office's secretary to answer and say that he'll give you a call right back and then play phone tag for a week.

If they increase the price of a 100/300/100 policy 50% then it should become a 150/450/150 policy. The payout never rises with inflation. Out of 20 companies I checked 20 companies Farmers is the highest so far. Out of those 12 are Allstate just with different agents and different prices. LMAO and of course high market values are not helping one bit.

    i’ve been told only progressive will likely insure me, but it seems impossible to shop or find a start. Any help is very appreciated, thanks

      Ask if completing a safe driving course will help you get insurance.
