the BPM during the bongos session slowly increased from around 128 to 135 while all the players were in sync, splendid.
Yeah can hear somebody shouting to speed it up. May have been Michael league.
Yeah... I notice that... I beleived i was wrong...
@@David-iv6je 4:11 Was Michael, 4:35 was Steven. (The left percussionist)
@@firephoenixmusic2 Cool!
Bongos ? I thought it was Congas
those percussionists are having so much fun
when are we not...
AwesomeThunder16 Honestly
@@Awesomethunder16 Totally agree haha
@@Awesomethunder16 when the drummer takes all the credit
deswalrus 0 nah we’re still having fun
3:03 way to segue one person's solo seamlessly into another! It's like both trumpeters shared the same idea. Snarky Puppy's musicians know how to listen to each other in a deeply respectful and creative way. These folks are interdependent... not overly independent or dependent. What a balance.
I love how much these musicians appreciate each other. Truly a "group" rather than a collection of individuals.
HOW DO PEOPLE MANAGE TO SIT IN ON THIS. I'VE NEVER BEEN SO JEALOUS
There listning to SkyRadio on there headphones ;-)
@@RogerKeulen they're* and their*
@@conzo4620 OK zoomer
@@Squirrel354 lmao good work
I really just love how every song seems to let someone in the group shine. The solos are so awesome.
Multiple percussionists, multiple guitarists, one bass player to pull it all together. Michael League is insane
I love how universal these guys are, they can take you from the Jazz from New Orleans, to a funky blues rythm from Chi town, and end up in the deepest ends of Latin America with songs like this.
More like the deepest start. This song has teu style of the brazilian Northeast region, where colonization first started. This region is the eastern extreme of all Americas.
and they nailed it
Oh god the trumpet solo parts! Amazing!
yeah! i really wonder if those two planned to intertwine their solos so perfectly together in that one moment, or if that was just an accident! lol
Michael League said this song has this name cause he has some family in belo horizonte in brazil, and his young nephew called him tio macaco, maybe uncle monkey or uncle michael.
+Victor Hugo Guinho yes, he wrote this for his niece actually
Caralho mano q dahora
Top demais
Michael League also has family in Greece, this lucky guy can vacation in the best places :p
My god the percussion on this track is insane! The whole album even, respect to Nate Werth & Co.
A great tribute to one of Brazil's signature sounds!
Most rhythmical gringos playing Latin percussion ever. Awesome.
+carlbm18 LOL
Claro!!!
+carlbm18 Nada que Giovanni Hidalgo envidiaría pero sí,... "Awesome gringos"

984,782 views, eh? I bet I can get this to a million by myself, it's such a great song.
Brazilian rhythm. Respect!
shout out to the unsung trio keeping it funky
I second that notion
you guys are all freaking great, thanks for this.
As kdjdjdjdjdjjzdkxkxxkjcndj de
You’re welcome
haha interesting to see you here, you're making great comedy content
I didn't think this band could get any better, then they added Bob Reynolds. Crazy!
I like this song because it's something a sufficiently-badass high school advanced jazz band could set their sights on performing
Excellent musicians, all of them! They play spot on, they improvise so well and: They play together so perfectly! They can give room to the other musicians and take a step back to let someone else enter the spotlight. THIS is the real quality!
Baião fusion!? It's about time you guys come to Brasil! Baita som, congrats!
That Trumpet Section and the solo at 3:33. Respect!
Whoa! I felt a Brazillian rythm in there! Awesome
I already liked Snarky Puppy before discovering THIS SONG. So Brazilian, greetings from Brazil, much love and respect to you guys from here!
Just now really getting into snarky puppy and every time I see a video from like 5 years ago I ask myself wtf was I doing and why wasn't this recommended before? This is right up my alley.
Same. Mos def.
The percussion guys look like they’re having their own party, so many multi talented musicians 👌🏻
As a brazilian, I must say I've never seen a musician play our rhytms as well as this drummer does. It's like he's from Rio de Janeiro.
Snarky Puppy just can't fail...awesome percussion solo towards the end. But 2:39-2:45 had me absolutely weak!!!!
Julio Pimentel
Brasil are proud of you guys!!!!!! Tamo junto
PROUD PAPOHA!!!! hahaha
How can anyone dislike anything made by this bunch of talented people?
Besides Nate those other percussionists are BAD-TO-THE-BONE!!!!! How could one NOT be moved by that groove!!!!!! As always Snarky Puppy is "the" band to me now!!! They're just unspeakably good! I mean GREAT!!!!
I just can't stop listen to all the entire album...!!! Thank you so much 'Snarky Puppy'!!! Long Life to you all and thank you so much for the music. You're the light at the end of the tunnel.THANK YOU 1000 times!!!
Brazil in the area , #Brasil
This whole series has been breath-taking. Excuse me while I go practice my scales.
One of the most fun pieces on this album 💯 Can't help but drum along or dance or both

Esse baião cheio de sotaque Nordestino. Parabéns 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
This is insane!!!!!!!!!!
I felt a kind of Brazilian rhythm!
Victoria Vilandez Totally, rythym from the Northeast of Brazil..
Certeza! Daonde você é? Monica Lima
+Victoria Vilandez, yes!!! This song has too much of my Brazil!
You know how I can tell this has a genuine Brazilian feel to it? I can easily picture that meme dog dancing to this
Strings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you are ALL SO BEAUTIFULLY MAGICKALLY MUZICKALLY MAGNIFICENT! xxxxxxx
It's so beautiful!!! I have to DANCE!!!!

+Natã .RS no this is forró with samba and Brazilian jazz. not salsa. tio macaco is a Brazilian title btw.
portuguese...
I have this on DVD. Big screen TV with Bose Sound System is just like being in the room with all of them.
AH-HA!!!!! Michael League digs brazillian music!!!!! Certainly digs Hermeto Paschoal!!! :D
Must say im impressed! not many outside brazil can make such nice BAIÃO!!!!
congratulation to michael league and snark puppy musicians!!! youre all top notch!!!
They produce so much good music! omg!
They can play just everything!!! I just don't want to take off my headphones...
musica nordestina...brings back good times in Fortaleza in the early 80s
ALL OF THE MOST UNDERRATED AND UNKNOWN MUSICIANS IN THE WORLD ARE IN THIS BAND. THANK YOU SNARKY PUPPY!😁 YOU ARE THE REASON WHY THE REST OF THE WORLD SHOULD STRIVE FOR WHAT YOU HAVE ACHIEVED HERE AND IN ALL OF THE SONGS THAT YOU HAVE CREATED AND TAKEN PART IN. MASTERPIECE AS ALWAYS.
That center percussionist REALLY has a good time all the time
That drummer tho! wow...
2:36
OMG I JUST LOVE THIS. How the other trumpeter comes in on the same note and then follows a beat late on the climb down. Idk if this part was planned but it sounds fricken amazing.
Even the third trumpet player was stanked out by that one, what an impeccable transition between solos
Denim shirt man!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How are people sitting down watching this ? I would be up and dancing like a complete lunatic
Brazil man!!
Whoa. Dat djembe solo. Those aux percussionists were killing it.
Finally I’m going to see you live in May 🙌🏻🙌🏻🎶🎶 yay!! 🎉🎉
All of the brass (without trombone) can do improvisations well. wow. rare to find.
Falou, rapaz!
Non Stop Binge watch Snarky!!!!
Michael you're a natural writer!
i never thought congas and bongos could give me chills
When music reaches this level, you just can't help but have a smile on your face, and movement in your body.
I just cannot believe. You took our (I’m brazilian) Baião to ANOTHER LEVEL. I would NEVER imagine something like this, because this genre is not popular outside northeast, let alone outside brazil! I’m so so glad after I heard this. Thank you.
wow.REAL MUSIC AND MUSICIANS
You have to fecking DANCE! xxxxxxxxxxxxx
thaaaaankyouuuu!!!
My goodness, y'all never disappoint, damn!
The section at 3:51 sounds like it comes right from a Disney movie. Love it!
I think its similar to one of the ompa lompa songs in Burtons version!
god i loved playing this for school. this song fucking rocks
The best MUSICIANS ever
All my respect for those percussionists !!
Som bem brasileiro, com o triângulo do forró nordestino, estilo Hermeto Pascoal. Muito bom.
Best music ever, p people must appreciate this genre
Larnell n percussion! wow! reminds me of Frank Zappa and Lou Donaldson mix!
That's Brazil! Amazing!
PERCUSSION IS AMAZING!!!!
trumpet players are so great as well
Another banger from Uncle Monkey
I'm playing this as a Bari sax at the Idaho State University marching camp!
such a stoopid brass chase
