It was in the sense of popular music. The new music on the radio was better back in the day. Fewer listening options. Everyone kind of listened to the same thing. Hands down this is by far one of the most unique and talented modern groups touring. Yussef has reignited a spark that's been missing in a lot of the music world as of late I feel and it's wonderful that he and the band are out sharing this with us live (not to mention documented/recorded as well). I can't really express how grateful I am and so many others are for this. I will most certainly continue to support & share! Thank You! 🖤🖤✨
I experienced that surfing off Cayucus, surf house Highway one. In the mid 80's. This I listen to any day of the week short board or tandem surfing on a long board.
That keyboard player is the contender for MVP in this lineup. He's supporting everyone so eloquently, and letting them shine (and letting a few good solos of his own rip from time to time). Amazing lineup.
He is a stellar, supportive musician, with some great music of his own. I was lucky enough to see his debit show with this band about two years ago in Denver. He absolutely slayed it, and just keeps getting better
Love Elijah Fox, but I love the lineup with Charlie Stacey too. I’ve seen Elijah play with them, really hope I see to see Charlie Stacey someday. I think he’s credited on most of the tracks for the latest album and there’s a lot of good live performances on RUclips with him
Charlie Stacey is unreal. I saw them play in San Francisco and the keyboard fell halfway off the stand mid solo and he didn't blink an eye and continued ripping with the keyboard hanging at a 45 degree angle, until a someone pulled it back up. Also same show, in a pause/space of silence one song, Yussef brought the entire audience to roaring laughter by the manner he playfully jabbed the toms... it was pure wizardry, never seen anything like it. Easily the best show I've seen in my life, perhaps never to be topped...
His fingers running up and down the keyboard in those little quick flourishes at various points is mind blowing to watch. I've literally never seen a person move like that. This man has tapped into some deep cosmic understanding of the keyboard few could hope to achieve.

If there's no wind or just a little breeze i think that's a sound engineer's dream to record outside in an open space like that and it gives a beautiful sound (as you can hear 🙂), let alone if recorded with high quality gear, but even with wind there are accessories or gear that do their job pretty good. You basically have zero reflection (or a natural reverb/echo if you are outside but in a place where there could be some distant surface of any kind which can reflect the sound) instead of the unpleasant excessive sound absorption of a small fully treated room but you got the natural sound dispersion/diffusion, which simply goes naturally and gradually away in the open air, like a caress lost in the sunset breeze...
Moutian steppa is one of the best songs on here...would love to hear a longer version of this track...but that keyboard player is super talented tapped into my emotions with this song....big luv to all of them..man great performance...

I have never bopped my head to someone playing a triangle before. Flawless
This is my introduction to jazz. Random RUclips rabbit hole after watching some Glass Beams sets brought me here. The sax in Tidal Wave locked me in. These guys are really special.
Definitely check out the version of Tidalwave featuring Tom misch, Yussef and Tom crush it together
Waiitttttt 7:10 that switch from the norm was crazyyyy. Rocco was really in his mood. Legend blood. Rocco fkn Palladino on the bass!

Today is December 7 2023 this just reached my suggested feed. First 30 seconds Blown Away! 🙌🔥🔥 New fan here from Philippines ❤
If it’s music on heaven, this will be playing, sounds so organic, happy to see that we can find real music, blessings to all who listen to this.
Got this disk suggested on Qobuz. I'm not a jazz listener at all. Rather progressive rock. But this one inspires me. Sensational. Only came here to express my enthusiasm.
I don't understand how this was free to watch it feels illegal my word.
Afraid to like during the drum solo
Bruh… I can’t believe what just happened. I watched another video and this just started playing. Never heard of Yussef before. I said I’ll just listen to a few seconds and see what it’s like… 😮 This was amazing! Fantastic music, location was stunning. I’m a fan now ❤
Same here!
This is what the world needs.. vibrations of positivity spreading throughout the sky. Peace and love to you all
Saw these guys live in Tunis October 2022 and they're the most professional group of musicians I've seen live. Amazing musicianship.
This takes me to Return to Forever with Airto Moreira, Cumbia & Jazz from Charles Mingus and many other gods of Jazz Fusion from the 70's. This is simply beautiful!
That boy Elijah Fox on the keys is damn talented.
What have I done to deserve such goodness? ❤❤❤This music is a reward from the universe 😊 bless you Yussef and bless your awesome team, bless all who listen too. ❤
Love this comment ❤
Exactly!
This is one of the main reasons I want a Mountain side home facing the West, with a huge deck patio. I would have paid gatherings to watch artist such as these perform just before sunset. ❤
Was blessed to see these great musicians at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall last week, the rhythms & melodies are still buzzing around fresh my mind…
I love this, It's amazing...really I haven't listening something same.
man, the fact that this dropped like a day after i introduced my partner to jaco and we spent most the day lamenting the tragedy of his later years and passing feels like some kind of message almost
amazing stuff as always, loved every minute
BEST BAND IN THE UNIVERSE!
