Mojave for me. Bash it hard and dont gotta worry about a thing. Udr for scale looks and movement
Same 👍👊
I’ve seen guys with thMojave beet it for a year. One guy was borrowing it out?! Never broke anything. I want one!
Mojave yes !! UDR IS JUNK they just stay broke very fragile
You want that scale look you get a super baja rey 2.0 not some poopy udr.
🤣😂🤣
The concrete in front my place with certain tires squeals and that's a huge fun factor slamming on the breaks and hearing the tires cry or hitting a turn hard so much fun. Honestly I think the trucks are pretty matched and it comes down to personal preference.
Great video! Thanks for the comparison
How long do the batteries take to charge and when they come out of the box are they fully charged or do you have to charge them
Both beautiful trucks, I would like to ask there's a little over 3 lbs weight difference between them stock with all the upgrades are they still close in weight?
Great comparison video. really enjoyed it
Yeah I would like to see the the Mojave with silicone ear plugs in the rear diff. Then a 3rd and final round... "Out with a donut"... Lol awesome video, I really like Donut's, too, and the jumps were sweeeet, only thing, the UDR really put down the sprinkles on them dhoneis, an the Mojave & the UDR in this are both maga upgraded an super fun to watch!
That was pretty cool dude👌 personally I think I'd take the UDR but both are nice trucks.
I love the solid axle of UDR and Super Baja Rey
Loving that ramp💖
Great vid brother. Those trucks are a beast. 💯👍🏾
I’m in love with my Mojave. A damn good and fast basher. Still haven’t run it with the speed pinion. Great damn 1/7 trunk. 1/10 I’m still ultimate slash4x4 all day.
I own the Mojave and it's one of favorites.
You should pave a thin strip or use concrete. I have the ability to go get asphalt with a ton truck an 30min drive from my home. I spread it with a shovel, makes awesome roads in my woods for Simi log trucks lol. LOVE THE VIDS MAN!
I like the way you did that!!!!COOLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats a nice jump. Also I recommend silicone ear plugging the centre diff on the mojave. Defo help with getting the power down to the ground and makes it skid instead of rolling. Speaking from experience.
I actually want to do the plugs in this Mojave and the Xmaxx, just haven't got to them yet.
Exocaged RC yeah they work well hopefully they work well for you too👍
Ok i like both trucks very much. If i had to chose only one of them though i would choose the mojave because i believe it handles better, has a lower centre of gravity and it's easier to work on. :)
What wheels are you running on the Mojave, I’m guessing no more wheel ejecting with the upgraded wheels?
those are Vitavon beadlocks, should be a link in the description for them.
Can you tell me were I can get some plastic ramps like I saw in your video
I think the white had a harder time hooking but had more power
If the Mojave had a full body cage that stayed attached to the body but attached like the fireteam it would be unbeatable. I feel like I get more for my money having more depth with a full cage on the udr.
I gave it to the Mojave because of the price point it's a $100 cheaper than the UDR and just as good of a truck
I would probably go with udr just because I already have Traxxas batteries and parts and what's with the Porto Jon in ur yard
Very nice amigo 😀👍
You sir are the winner they both make a smile 😃
That Mojave seemed faster
On the ramp I built, I put skateboard grip tape on it! It's 4ft wide, 14 inches tall. 55 degree angle at top. As for which truck is better, I would like to know which one had less damage after all that. The winner would be the one with the least repair needed.
neither one broke, not even the UDR with that horrible first landing. 55 degrees is a high jump ramp for sure, I build this one for distance, so thats why its 27 degrees or maybe 37 heck I'm not sure now lol
@@ExocagedRC I have not hit my ramp fast enough with anything yet to really launch off it. Maybe when I get Arrma or a Xmaxx!
It the current spec they are both pretty epic.
Both are nice but like the udr better, it looks better and it moves better to me.
Hey exo, I currently have the Mojave but very curious about the UDR. Think its worth it to add to the fleet?
It’s a very different truck. I have both and like them for different reasons. UDR is way way more scale than the Mojave.
@@ExocagedRC for sure, thanks bro. I actually was super on the fence between the two and I went with the Mojave based on ur reviews and vids and am super stoked. but now Im thinking's, why not both lol this its worth the $?
I got both so both are the best lol two beasts
I’d take the mojave for daily bashing and fun, but a UDR for scale and looks and that real desert truck feel.
I just think comparing these vehicles is more fun than practical. Size and shape are really the only comparisons. One is scale and one is a basher. Love both but really it is easy are going to skate park and Tevin Tadpolloing it or using it on the ground like most people.
Yessir great comparison Joe 👍 tough call but im going udr ftw who doesn't love doughnuts 🍩🍩
Right on
Go for a longer speed run for the tie breaker
I'd need either another driver or camera guy for that.
Great comparison video ! Its easy for me , I already have the Mojave , so I'll be picking up a UDR now !!!!
For scale I'd say UDR I've always like the UDR but cant really bash it hard, the Mojave can be bashed hard, so I'd say both are winner in there own way. They both came really close. Either a I want both lol
I'd take the udr mainly bc you can put it into turns harder and slide. But I am a bad driver so Mojave may be better bc its durable
🤣🤣🤣
I think it has to do with the udr having lock rear diff and shorter wheel base and solid axle.
I have these and the sbr 2.0. I haven't found an area to abuse my mojave hard enough yet.
definitely need thicker oils all round on the Mojave
I'ma get both
The udr seems like it handles better it did not flip as much I like both of the but dont know what one two get
It all comes down to this, if scale realism matters a lot, then the UDR is a beautiful work of art, if none of that matters, get the mojave and have fun
I will take the Arrma all day long!
I think if i were to choose I'd get the Mojave more because of its durability from what owners of each have reported. I think the UDR looks a little better but looks are easier to change than making something more durable.
the Mojave is a very well built truck for sure
@Chris D'oulmeth im not a fan of kevs channel. I know he's popular but he's just not for me. I've seen quite a few videos about the Mojave and I'm in a few RC Facebook groups though. I feel as though I got a fairly decent grasp on what's durable and what has issues. However I don't like making judgments unless I have first hand experience. You know how it is one guy's "trash" maybe another guy's favorite RC.
@Chris D'oulmeth I love the Mojave for sure, I haven't broken anything on it but I see people posting pics of body mounts broke and other stuff with an explanation like " I was driving on 2s for 30 seconds on fresh cut flat grass and that's why the chassis is bent like a boomerang" Makes it hard to believe some people when I know what mines been through without issue.
Two totally different tires. You have the paddles on the UDR. put normal tires on and Im wiling to bet the UDR would end it in the first jump on all three. Nice Video
No no both of these trucks have Vitavon wheels and Proline Hyrax Tires so they are even on that. I have the paddles on the back cage of the UDR to keep the stock balance as much as possible.
@@ExocagedRC if thats the case use Weights
@@intentmischief7396
He is. The two tires.🤦♂️
UDR For me .I think it looks better as well.
Hahahahahahaha now those are some big skid marks!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
lol yep!!
A speed run should be the real tie breaker but besides that there just better at different things really, I have a udr and now I want both😂😂😂
UDR would kill that Mojave probly even with the paddles on. Please set that as your next show down. A with and without. Camera on the second driverTo make sure the driver is wide open. Batteries and a timer if possible. Fun lil change 😉
UDR is the winner for me because like the scale drive of the trexxas.
The scale looks of udr sells IT for me.
Udr more scale more off a desert truck. And l have that one 👍
Waiting for the mojave v2 to come out so far every arrma re stock has been a upgraded version so im guessing mojave will be no different
Well ok now you have me interested. I love the one I have now.
I thought the same and they did that plus EXB roller version
UDR is the cooler scale trophy truck... the Mojave is just a scaled up sct so it’ll handle better and be more durable beating it up. They’re so different, but I’d go UDR for the scale-ness. For bashing I would get a different class all together.
Hi, UDR for me, j prefer, look and performance, it is the best model in this category. Thank you Exocaged for comparison.
UDR is scale while the Mojave is just another repurposed modular arrma deal.
Abradolf Lincler the kraton is cheaper and can handle harsher terrain.
UDR looks a lot cooler and comes with two extra tires.
Go for it.. I will get the Mojave and build it up with GPM, Hot Racing, EXB parts etc🤙 -i already have a trophy scale truck with my built with options Losi Baja Rey Raptor 1/10 so I needed a SCT, why not have the absolute best😂
I would take the losi super Baja Rey or the tekno sct410.3 do I win? 😂😂
well considering I don't have either of those I grant you permission to have your choice of a donut. LOL
Udr..... Donuts for the win
UDR 👍🏻🇨🇦🇱🇷
Can you do a Slash 4x4 versus Senton 3s firma!
I don't have either of those two vehicles, sorry
UDR has less power so was easier to launch for run ups into the jumps.
UDR still looks cooler :D
UDR wins!
People keep saying they are fragile but Exocaged Joe just keeps on sending his truck hard 🤙🏻
And they say 100$ less for the Mojave but you get 2 spare tires and a spare driveshaft plus way more scale detail on the UDR.
I’m wanting a new basher tho, something that sends harder and handles rougher terrain than the 1/7 UDR, should I get a Mojave or a SBR 2.0 what do u guys think?
Both are winners. Grab em both if you can.
Why dont you use camera stand??? You were shooting only one angle... All in all good presentation... I personaly like udr more... Looks more stable..
I only have one camera so I have to move that with the trucks.
Udr landed better on the long jumps
UDR all year long
Traxxas UDR it is easy to get parts
I've seen the mojave take some abuse but not sure its traxxas tough
That first crash with the UDR was rough. That was literally the very first jump in recording this. I thought for a second or two this video was over lol
Which one do you prefer to drive?
UDR
Mojave needs training wheels lol
Mojave!! 1000%
ones way tougher than the other... so theres that
which one?
@@ExocagedRC traxxas themselves say the udr isnt strong enough for bashing. And ive seen bone stock mojaves taking all sorts of terrible hits and keep going.
@@kaozer666 I bashed with my UDR pretty good when it was stock, still bash with it from time to time same with the Mojave. Waterkipped it on 8s too.
I have both mojave and udr my son also has both of them and both of our udrs have been nothing but trouble the only good rc traxxas makes is the xmaxx the rest of traxxas is junk so im saying the UDR IS JUNK mojave is awsome take my word on it !!
I like my UDR. Since day one it’s been reliable and survived most of the 145 crashes I’ve put it through.
The Trx4 line is good too..but that's it lol
For this contest, the UDR. But the Mojave is the better car. That's why I bought it
Have you ever heard of punch rates or traction indexes plus suspension dampening and geometry these are a few major factors when conducting a comparison on product superiority. Just a thought
there was an easy way to break this tie , lets see them do fast hard turns and with the Mojave original tires , lets see which rolls the most ??
two of your tests were far better suited to the UDR with its locked rear diffs, the donuts and the jump starting from right on the ramp, off the mark a locked rear diff is going to give more traction , if the mojave had a locked rear diff it would have won this particular jump test,
you have some expensive mods on that UDR , i really hope the public know how fragile the UDR is out of the box and that both the Losi SBR and Mojave are better value for money !
but i must say i enjoyed your banter ;)
good points however..... the locked diff is better for donuts yes. Locking the rear of the Mojave on donuts would be better but the center diff would still reduce its effectiveness, Locking the rear diff on the Mojave isn't a stock configuration nor would it help on the launch due to the rather loose center diff sending power to the front as where the Udr has an extremely tight center diff that has almost no slip. Both are great trucks but both are very different, I didn't want the same ole same ole test we always see so I did this.
@@ExocagedRC
Thanks for that , that's exactly what I meant , your tests were far better suited to a car with a locked rear diff , I wouldn't expect you to try and lock the rear diffs of the Mojave but just to make your tests suited to "BOTH" cars , all the tests were about right off the mark power where a locked rear diff is a huge advantage, that's why I mentioned fast turns like on a race track , the only good thing for the Mojave in your tests was it was STILL the better car even with it's disadvantages but again it was amusing in your efforts and approach 😉👍
@@gatti493 🤦♂️
@@spike-- ??? and ?
Mojave is better for bashing, so mojave wins.
When u r driving fast and put it sideways udr doesn't roll easy udr for me
Annnd then it breaks.... my udr rolls over like a whore at a truck stop.
Udr definitely rolls easier. My buddy has one and I have the mojave. We switch at the camp ground and tjeynare both alot of fun
Lock diff in mojave and it's best rc by miles..I've had both udr and xmaxx keep braking and cost a fortune. Now how notorious and mojave and all I've changed is steering servo and wheel bearings.i got board and converted mojave to 8s and its insane
UDR wins.
For me its a tie. Neither rc had a clean win. The donuts fail for mojave is surprising
that open rear diff took it out, I know I've ripped some good ones but they've all been on a smooth surface, the spool in the back of the UDR won that one easily.
Mojave wins
Mojave . $100 cheaper and looks better
