Tamiya's Toyota Supra on the BT-01 Chassis - First Drive!

There is alot of buzz surrounding the new BT-01 chassis from Tamiya . This is mainly due to the versatility of the 3 different drivetrain options - front motor-front wheel drive, front motor-rear wheel drive and rear motor-rear wheel drive.
Tamiya has brought this new chassis to us with a stellar Toyota Supra body set, however the build manual has us assembling the car in a front motor-front wheel drive setup - not ideal for Supra purists.
In this video, we blast around a parking lot with our Supra, however this is after we built it in the correct front motor-rear wheel drive configuration.

It's definitely an odd duck and does perform just like you'd expect for a RWD RC car.

Looks like a nice drive apart from the friction shocks, this really should have come with cva shocks.

It's not as bad as we thought it might be, being RWD and all. But we agree, a good set of oil-filled shocks will definitely boost performance.
