I believed this so much since I’m into scale trail trucks… so I built an MST FFX drift car since it had RWD and a front motor… it was not fun to drive lol. MR is probably the best for 1:10.
I know everyone's (in Europe) celebrating the Kadett. But this is for me the best release they do this year. I had the Supra on the TA-02 and I think the new one'll enter my collection wit the motor in the front and the drive in the rear.
Great review as always! I need you talk about the RC hobby shop’s going out of business because online sales! Me personally I love going to a shop and touch and see what I’m buying first! You reviews real help in deciding a better or worse pick! But going to a mom and pop shop is always the best! And it’s sad that they are all going away 😢
Nice! Should be out very soon. I’ve had this for weeks. Winter conditions pushed off the video work. It was great to finally get out and experience it. It was fun!
As suggested by a few people, I'm in complete agreement for a head-to-head handling comparison between all three motor position variants...especially in regards to the two RWD (rear vs front motor) configurations. Honestly, I have a feeling that few peeps will build the FWD configuration...but, a LOT of people are going to be extremely curious about the RWD handling characteristics between the rear & front motor options.
I do like the look of the BT-01 chassis, it's definitely different! Personally I prefer FWD RC cars, that's what I race, so much fun. I used to run an M07 and that was an awesome little chassis, put a big smile on my face every time I ran it. Great video!!
Great looking car, I always wanted a Supra as well. My best friends Dad had one, would give us a lift to school sometimes (tiny back seat). I always said I was going to buy it, he took incredible care of it and barely put miles on it. That never happened, haha!
That really looks nice and goes really well too. If thats still the standard silver can Tamiya motor that is included with the kit , then im really impressed with the speed its putting out. Looks great, ive subscribed to your channel ages ago but i wanted to say im also really impressed with your video on the Hot shot 2 in black 2024 model. Im getting myself one too. My family doesn't understand my hobby / addiction but ive been into this sport or hobby since i was 13 and now im in my early 50's. Cant just quit something like this that i live so much and had mist if my life. Its absolutely awesome that Tamiya hemave come back so strong in 2924. I suppose now there is a much bigger market than back un the 1989's -,1990's. Great work again my friend , you put out some too quality video work👌👍
Very nice. I have this on pre order, but too bad they did put in their old Supra body (i have 2 of them already) Tamiya should really included a new body when introducing a new chassis Greg its pre cut decals just because the Supra set is a very old Tamiya set.
That is awesome!! Do you think this is going to be a TT-02 chassis replacement? you know its impossible to keep everyone happy 😊 I am sure some will complain about the bushings I am one of those people that doesn't always use the ball bearings, especially if a model is going to be used in the rain and mud.
Hmm, don’t think it will be a replacement. I went through an angry period about the bearings. But a friend reminded me of what Tamiya is. They’re a plastic model company and they make models that you can drive. As a model maker, the builder gets to take the car to whatever level they want, detail or option part-wise. Tamiya has just provided an interesting canvas to start with.
It's amazing how far modern RC cars have come, while Tamiya is still making rebuildable hard plastic toys lol. I mean I had some 25-35 years ago, they were very similar to this, maybe slightly less advanced.
You do know that tamiya offers some of the highest quality and performing touring car chassis on the market right? They don't just offer entry level kits
of course I do. They have high end all out products like the TRF for competition. But most of their stuff are models that you can drive, as I have mentioned. They have great scale details, require some modelling skills, and these contribute to nearly half of the experience.@@buss1205
yes correct. I myself have some different ranges of Tamiya kits like the TT-02B Neo Scorcher, DT-02 Sand Viper, CW-01 Lunchbox, and BB-01 BBX.@@Papinak2
3:52 I strongly urge you to go over the instructions carefully and just change it to front motor. Ideally you'd want as less weight in the back making it easier to swing out. Plus it is a Supra right? FR all the way Love the vids 👍🏿
I like Tamiya I just don't like that there is so much plastic just supply bearing and die cut stickers a die plate is only 150 to 300 dollars even cheaper Tamiya is a bight tight.
Because they make so many different chassis and bodies. That way you can interchange them pretty easily. Only the wheelbase has to fit. Tamiya is not a rtr brand like traxxas where you can't interchange bodies so easy. It's a builders brand!
I love the way the body rolls a little bit in the corners. It looks really realistic with that supra body
As a Supra, it really needed to be built front motor, rear wheel drive.
Its time for a back to back to back comparison between the different configurations 😮
Also came to my mind, as soon as I saw the RR setup😂
Rc’s handle well overall with rear motor mount but i hear you
its not a supra though -_- its an rc car. has nothing to do with the car so doesnt matter

This definitely interests me as well friend. My birthday is coming in a few months I may gift myself one 😎
@@MitchellBolognaniRC fingers crossed Mitchell
Think I'd take the Supra over the Kadett, Just need a Silvia now
I do not need another tamiya, I do not need abother tamiya, I do not need another tamiya! Man that Supra looks so good! I want it!
Definitely looks like a great car....I think I love the fact that you can change motor positions. Pretty impressive new chassis.

I love these kits with more than one motor position. Cheers
Good to hear it's manageable in MR configuration. I really like the body and want to see what it's like FR.
Finally more info on the BT01! Waiting for this to drop! Got my Pre-ordered in.
Awesome, should be out very soon.
Ive been waiting for the pre-order for a while! Super hyped for this

Thank you for showing us this new chassis! Looks really interesting!
Thank you!
That body is sick. Might buy one for Supra body.

This kit looks great.. definitely love the scale looks and handling..
What a cool chassis, seems like it's performing well. I'm exited for future body options 😮

Love this car. Looks great . Thanks for spending the time to review.
The new NSX Racing Body set would be dope with the BT01 Chassis in MR format.
Yessss…thats exactly what im planning with their new nsx coming on the tt-02 chassis. Rip the body out and place it on the bt-01
The realistic body looks good!
I’ve been having this BT-01 on my eyes for a good while now and planning to get one but I haven’t seen them in online stores yet.
They should be out very soon.
Thank you Greg for the detailed review.. really enjoy the review 👍🏽👍🏽🤯
Thank you for that review. Seems interesting and the handling looks very good. And the body is gorgeous 👍🤝
I really like the more realistic driving withe the rear wheel drive setup. I will defenitely consider getting one of these
Totally agree with the driving characteristics.
Definitely will need to pick up the body set to keep filling out the Fast & Furious Fleet!
would this be a good first kit? i love the body and the fr layout would make it handle unique compared to my fazer mk2.
FF layout gives me hope for a rebirth of the Accord Aero
I have totally been waiting for something like this.
Looks good even with friction shocks.
Looks fantastic. Great job on the finish.
It's kind of tricky a running RC car setup like that in two-wheel drive I should know.
Screaming out for a CART/Indy Pace Car build!
Very nice. I have this on pre order, but too bad they did put in their old Supra body (i have 2 of them already)

Greg its pre cut decals just because the Supra set is a very old Tamiya set.
Colour looks amazing but why oh why are they still using body clips. It would look way cooler clipless
Much better offer with an Arrma Felony, just wish there was a Supra body for that.
Supras always been Hot. Nice build , maybe id try a hand @ building , since I'm a qualifed parts changer.
Lol.. 😂
Body looks amazing 👌
So can we have a dual motor 4wd setup?
Love the Supra! Great video👍👍👍👍
What would be a good brushless setup for this?
What paint did you use on the spoiler, as in what paint code?
That is awesome!! Do you think this is going to be a TT-02 chassis replacement?

Awesome greg, cant wait to get one on track
Yeah, I wanted to hit a track with it. But RC Madness where I go has the outdoor track put away for winter.
@@rcdriverif you get a chance, take it to the track, I’ve now done all three configurations at the carpet track and what a pleasant surprise!
Looks like a great new chassi from Tamiya 😀
No way!

Secret:tt02 can also change to f,r or 4wd
I’d love to see some white or black wheels on that!!
Ooooo White would be sick.
Looks cool! thanks 4 the vid 💯
#Mk4 is awesome! From the ford lightning, mustang cobra & now this.
Looks great 👍🏼

I ordered one of these but it's delayed. Do tt-02 hopups fit this ?
Im pumped for the new clk-gtr!
I’m working on it. 😄
Hopefully there's an affiliate like. I'm having that LoL
For years I wanted tamiya to make a proper RWD touring car.. and they make this 😂
Thats awsome
In Germany it looks like it handles well where I saw them driving it.
Not a massive Tamiya fan but, that is a very nice kit. Lovely paint work too
Cool!❤🎉
Noooo the body posts :(
Nice!🔥🔥👍
About time tt02 is getting boring this looks like a breath of fresh air
inb4 "it's RWD but it's not FR layout".
I sold my supra 6 years ago. Not sure how I feel about this lol
Oh man! 😆
Is this BT01 just another new Mchassis?
same wheelbase the generic 1/10ths, not a mini
@@IntroRC thats awesome. Thanks for the info. 👍
I would have made it with the front-mounted motor with the longer drive because that's closer to the way it is in real life.
i die inside when i see tamiya refuses to use hex screws in their chassis....
I like Tamiya I just don't like that there is so much plastic just supply bearing and die cut stickers a die plate is only 150 to 300 dollars even cheaper Tamiya is a bight tight.
They made way too many chassis, heard there is new, rally type chassis as well.
And I ask, WTF. WHY SO MANY.
Why is tamiya still making cars with body posts uggh
Because they make so many different chassis and bodies. That way you can interchange them pretty easily. Only the wheelbase has to fit. Tamiya is not a rtr brand like traxxas where you can't interchange bodies so easy. It's a builders brand!
You can easily get and install magnetic body posts, I believe there are no holes pre drilled in the body from factory
Correct, the body only has dimples.
Imagine pitching about posts. Lol
what else are they supposed to use? like what?
*Supra joke insert*
Handling like a dog 😢
