    This is great. Doing something very similar with my son for his first budget build. I haven’t had a computer apart in 20+ years. Really appreciate this video.

      That's awesome! This is hands down the best bang for the buck that you can get in the current market.

    Just picked up one of these PCs. I think I may turn it into a dedicated Linux Batocera build so it boots right into Batocera. I just love going back and seeing your earlier videos. It is so strange to see your bare arms and not the black and orange shirt that your Mom made for you that is so cool. You are a man of many mad skills. Another skill you could add is soldering. That would be such an easy fix for that very short cable. I am sure you have a ton of similar copper cable hanging around. All you would need to do is splice in about a foot of each cable, solder each side of each cable, make sure to put some heat sink wrap on each cable ahead of time for each solder, heat it with a heat gun and you are done. Then just hide the cable like you did the others. Great build BTW but I am for sure staying away from that case.

    Good video, next you should do a PSU upgrade video on this to add a better GPU to the build
    Mine has a 550W PSU and a GTX 1070

    Hey TechDweeb, this case looks amazing! I can't find anything about it online. Where do you get it? I can't see the review you mention in the other video either. Is that review still online?

    • @TechDweeb
      @TechDweeb  2 года назад +2

      Yeah it's a great case. Unfortunately I can't find it anymore. It was available on Amazon. I've bought 6 of them over the past year or so. But it's now gone from amazon so I guess they're all sold out. Hopefully they make it again. With improvements! It's a really nice looking case but it's definitely not without its problems.

      Nope not stick, just perma-dweeb-voice :P. This is actually a great way to breathe life into these old PCs. Any mATX case will do the trick I think. Best of luck!

    • @TechDweeb
      @TechDweeb  2 года назад +1

      Yup! That's a standard ATX sized motherboard, you won't have an issue. Although you'll need to use the same PSU because it's proprietary.

      @@TechDweeb i want to add aio to new cabinet +total 8gb ram and graphic card 1050ti will installed psu be sufficient for that is there any way to change psu

    • @TechDweeb
      @TechDweeb  2 года назад +1

      The included PSU may be enough, hard to say though depending on if the 1050 ti needs external power, or how much juice your AiO needs. If you are upgrading the PSU you'll need an adapter for the motherboard power connection (google "lenovo 14 pin power supply adapter" and you'll find them).

    Question: I want to upgrade an old pc I bought a while Back at my parents.
    Can I just keep the Power Supply of 180 W then? Cuz people keep telling me to get a better one if I want everything to work, but it seems like you used a 180 W Power Supply in your video just fine if I am not mistaken

    what is the USB 3.0 header adapter for?

    • @TechDweeb
      @TechDweeb  2 года назад +1

      The one linked in the description? That's for adapting the proprietary header on the motherboard to a standard 3.0 header. I didn't use this in the video.

    • @TechDweeb
      @TechDweeb  2 года назад

      The i5 4570 is much more powerful than the A10 7800, which is why you're probably getting more CPU bottlenecked than I did with this setup.
