- This is a very common problem in any turbo diesel engine, no matter the size of the engine of the application of the engine.
If you hear the grinding noise coming from the turbo stop the engine as soon as you can to prevent catastrophic engine damage.
In case of a emergency or low money to tow the truck to the nearest repair shop, you can block the oil flow from the oil pressure line that goes to the turbo to prevent oil flow to the engine. This is a turbo oil pressure bypass to drive the truck to the nearest repair shop but the engine power will be reduced a 85%, this will cause low speed in hills or take off.

I would also recommend replacing the charged air cooler as all the metal from the compressor wheel ended in it and might end up in the intake side, and inspect the after treatment system as oil made its way to the DOC and DPF, SCR might be safe depending on how long the engine ran like this. What causes a dd15 2013 cascadia turbo gauge to fluctuate a lot .
So I tested drove a Cummings got back and noticed oil leakage from the front of the cac and noticed the engine a lil to loud. Liked the truck jus not that systems it had any ideas I’m going to pass on that truck

Tengo el problema de que no tiene mucho power.
Le acabo de reemplazar la transmision por una con overdrive y camboe lps diferenciales de 2.64 a 3.70 senti un poco de mejora pero aun sigo sintiendo el camion lento.
Pienso que es el turbo porque no se escucha mucho que haga ruido cuando acelero. Ademas solo me da de 4.8 a 5.2 mpg creo que es muy poco.
El turbo no se ve mal ni tira aceite ni hace ruidode que este descompuesto. ALGUNA SUGERENCIA???? GRACIAS

Hola , tengo un isx 15 y el camión solo me está dando 5.2 millas por galón cuando se supone que debería dar 6.8 -7 millas por galón , ya le cambie al actuator al turbo y el problema persiste ahora noto que el motor está consumiendo aceite un promedio de 3/4 de galón por semana , el turbo podría ser el problema del consumo de cosbustible y el que está quemando el aceite ? Gracias , no tiene ningún check engine

Maybe your exhaust manifold gasket are getting bad.

mine makes a squalling sound off and on and really does it when using the jake brake.. plus boost is a little low, like between 23-27.. sometimes it will hit 30psi but then drops right off so somewhere in the range i previously mentioned.. im set at 565 HP and the boost should be no less than 32 psi when applying full power

Hi Francisco. I had installed a turbo on my cascadia and started the truck and after 5 minuets it shoot out some oil from the turbo and the truck shut off. Can you tell me what could of happened.

Francisco Amaya Hi Francisco. It shoot out oil in the back of the turbo and also I see the oil in the turbo in between the clamps. I didn’t calibrate the actuator. I just kept the fins out so I could put them in the nozzle vents. properly and be able to clamp it. The mechanic took out the turbo in 3 peaces. Honestly the owner of the garage just wanted to raise the bill. It all started from changing the batteries cz the truck didn’t start. Is it possible that the turbo blew up cz it shoot out oil. Ty

My turbo runs fine but i just check the intake hole and it has oil in it. i also just saw my coolent tank is darker then normal look like oil or smoke in it

That could be a bad oil cooler.

@@franciscoamayaYT WOW! mine is also doin the exact same thing. turbo is fine but oil around the pipe right coming out of the turbo right before the cac. also, i have oil in my coolant but coolant is NOT in my oil the oil is perfect. just the oil is in the coolant tank. i have a 2007 detroit 14L. please help me out of both of those questions.

I will mention that on my other videos but if the amount of oil is excessive you will need to remove it and clean it.
If it is not too much oil, just do a Parked regeneration and that will be fine.
2019 kenworth x15 565 ... I was parked idling at 10000 rpm . For a 1 1/2 days cause it's -43 here .. I looked at the dash and it saved 25% derate. So I took it for a 15min drive then the regen light came on and also said high soot .. so I did a regen then let it run over night at 12000 rpm . Morning time I looked engine light was out . I drove it 100kms hr for 20mins then parked for a few hours at 11000 rpm . Dash said 25% derate with 3 hours left. But went out when i kicked it down. I shut it off .. I have an oily substance on frame coming from the back of turbo clamp .. and I'm down to the low mark on dip stick .. is it a concern to run it on the highway . Or should I take it to a shop
