I wish more drummers would do kit tours like this. As a drummer, I'm always fascinated by what other drummers use.

Dude talk about elaborate. Jesus Christ. Joey would be like "yeah I don't get that deep into it" lol.
I caught your stick in Kansas City with my little brother!!!! You’ve been a huge inspiration for me and him. You definitely gave me and him one of best nights of our life, thanks Ray!
He’s gotta be the most down to earth guy ever. Seems like he has a heart of gold.
Mad respect for Ray for bringing in and acknowledging his drum tech. The amount of work they do to make their boss's life easy and awesome. I drum tech'ed for Kirk Arrington (Metal Church/ Vanderhoof) for a tour of Europe and it's not an easy job. That kit looks to be a small nightmare to set up and tear down every night. Props.
That rack is absolutely outta hand in the best way possible. Beautiful new tour kit. Ray is a great drummer, and I really dug his live drum clinics. Glad to see people back on tour
My favorite drummer. Followed him since he played for army of anyone.❤
My favorite too. Saw AOA at House of Blues in Vegas. Powerhouse group, but Ray was the standout!
it's impossible not to love Ray!
One of the greatest drummers, with hands down, the dumbest haircut in metal. 🤘😁
....one of the greatest drummers?
@@gttrmgc3284 ONE of them, yeah.
Ray is such an incredible drummer, an inspiration to so many. What a set up!
Thank God he gave props to the drum tech! Cause on tour those cats work crazy, and it's like being a dish washer at a restaraunt... A pretty thankless job, and if anything goes wrong.... Your fucked!!! It's your fault, even if it's NOT your fault.. Its still YOUR FAULT! Makes me respect him.
4 kick drums and he’s really only using one. Gotta love it.
Yeah, he fooled me.
Such an amazing talent, Ray's one of those "stand out" musicians in a world of great musicians there's just that certain "something" about the way he does what he does. As far as the "tech" thing goes "God bless em all'" they've got the hardest jobs and I'd NEVER wanna be a drum tech. Ray seems like one of those guys you'd just love to meet or know. I'm a guitar player, "drummer fan boy" I love you drummers, mad respect to you all 👍
HUGE FAN OF YOUR WORK!!!!!!!!....... Whats your thoughts on CALEB H ,,,,,,, the 7 year old doin sic covers from the KNOT..... not affiliated..... just curious :-)
Awesome! Ray you're incredible drummer and such a humble person. I always enjoy your videos especially the gear nerd stuff. Thanks for taking the time. Keep up the great work and keep inspiring us drummers.
Anyone knows, how it calls the stoppers that Ray use on stands and bass drums legs? Thanks. Great video and drummer
Wow this video gives me so many ideas I love it.
I want to meet a famous drummer
Also tonight I cooked corn beef and there’s no corn it so that’s also big news
i saw you at forks drum closet a few years back. you was there with your wife/ significant other. i knew your face but couldn’t place you, or your name LMAO until one of the instructors you was talking to jogged my memory. you said hi to me, & i went on about enjoying the now old store. you have some sweet kits.
your amazing ray.. a huge inspiration to me, your drumming on this album is freakin amazing.. thank you for what you do and continue rocking
hes been in this band since 07 .. it’s obvious he home in this band
Ray earned his place in the band.
his amazing what?
@@Telepuzique His amazing ray.
@@DavidOakesMusic ray's amazing ray?
Ray, just seen you guys and the new kit in Moline il on Sat for my girls birthday. You were fucking badass dude, true showman. I loved it when you guys went from "shoots and ladders" into "one", that medley at the end was absolutely killer too man. Wish chevelles sound guy would have had them sounding better that night, everyone noticed that he had their sound all fucked up. You rock brother, hope fieldy is doing well.
Hey Ray, could you do me a favor and somehow join the Foo Fighters? Thanks in advance.
The man!! One of the best drummers in rock and metal.
He's up there with my favorite drummers of all time.
Best drummer imo
MARIO FUCKING DUPLANTIER
GOJIRA!
My new favorite drummer!
Eric Carr mention. First time I've heard a drummer mention him in a while, glad to hear he's still an influence.
Casey has also been drumming with Queensryche for several years as well so check that out too. And of course the awesome drum heads he does.
Mad respect for Ray Luzier who played with Jake E. Lee, David Lee Roth and KXM!
I'm not a massive Korn fan but this guy is an unbelievable drummer.
Nobody is a massive Korn fan...
Caught y’all in Ft Wayne a few weeks ago and as always, Korn never disappoints live, except for when Jonathan says it’s the last song.
Way to show love to the Drum tech! The unsung heroes of the road. I know he's busting his ass dealing with that kit.
I love that he mentions Eric Carr....One of the unsung heroes in the rock world, RIP buddy!
Love the shout out to Shawn, aka “Mr Sawbladehead.” Awesome man I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know since we both competed in a nation-wide competition in 2010.
Awesome !!! WOW~
sjc hoops? thats super cool. wasnt expecting that
Just seems like a good humble dude. Refreshing.
Saw you in 2021. kick ass. Humble and Grateful ....... Incredible drummer and family man. rock on!
Props for not trying to hide that you use a double kick on a single bass. I know a few metal drummers who use double kick on a single bass but pretend they use two bass drums.
yeah i wondered the same thing, but why? want to have identical bass drum sound?
@@birdyztudio One less thing to mic and/or trigger and not having the hassle of getting them both to sound the same.
@@Hairy_Melon Yes and having two for the visuals.
@@Hairy_Melon thank you i'd think so
Love the custom Pearl logo
Killer kit, thanks for sharing.
What a beautiful kit, Ray! Wow. And FWIW: one of my all-time fave drum tracks (I'm 66) is your work on #KXM, specifically.....STARS! What a fucking groove!
Experienced Ray and this kit in Manchester NH last night . INCREDIBLE !
Awesome vid 👌🏼 thanks for the setup
Why do you use DW hardware and Pear Drums? What’s wrong with pearls hardware?
Badass! I'm not a drummer, but love watching your vids.
Ray with his coffee
Awesome, Ray. You're a inspiration.
Double pedal on the right kick drum. Is the left kick just for looks? Nice looking set up for sure. I saw Ray with DLR on the Sam and Dave tour. He's good and fun to watch.
This dude is an amazing drummer, see in it in person. But, from this video, seems like a normal down to earth person who just happens to be a professional musician………refreshing to see in times like these.
Dude that rules! Love this guy. Freaking awesome drummer 🤘🏼🔥
Ray why if you have two kicks and professional sound man do you still use a double pedal vs just single pedals?
Love that instrumental of "Worst Is On Its Way" in the background. What a killer looking kit!
That kit is so bad ass Ray, you are my true hero 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great video and insight into his kit. He is a great talent and stands out among most top drummers.
Pretty Amazing how many shout outs and talent to make this happen
I’ve been using a double pedal and double bass setup for years. No more battling to tune them the same, one mic, one channel, and you can position the left pedal better and get your hihat pedal in a better spot. It just makes more sense if you’re a drummer you’ll get it. 2 nd bass is for balancing out the kit for looks on stage. It’s part of the show just like the lights and smoke. You don’t NEED them but it looks cool.
in middle school Korn scared me and I didn't understand the music too much i was more into punk but today as an adult with my knowledge of music this band fucking SMASHES.
My daughter and I saw you in Evansville last week for the 4th time. You guys put on such a great show start to finish every time. Thank you!
what Sabian ride do you use? I was gonna pick up an AAX Freq ride 21" due to the Korn esk sound it has since we play alot of covers in our house of Korn/Tool
Ray plz get back with AoA and make another album. ❤
Glad you guys are back on the road. To hell with this administration. Let’s make sure our lives, careers and performances do not get shut down again.
Awesome kit!
I would keep the huge china in the middle Ray, its basically your signature at this point in that if I see that china, I know its you just like the rev from avenged sevenfold had the 3 bass drums so when you saw that you knew it was him as it was his signature
How many sticks do you break during a gig? Did you ever try the Tommy Lee unbreakable sticks? 😅
Mad set up!
My neighbor was friends with Ray 😊 I live about half an hour from Pittsburgh one of my friends went to the same highschool he did too
Anyone else see he got two bass drums and a double bass pedal? Does he just play on one and the other is for show? Anyway he’s fucking sick!
Bad ass!🤘🤘🤘
Definitely the Rolls-Royce of drum kits! 👍 Curious as to why it said $$808 on the one skin?
did I miss something... did they discuss sizes or just promoting hardware, drum heads, drum sticks, etc
On the thumbnail it looked like you were wearing one of them little hats Neil peart used to wear. Lol. I was wrong. Lol.
What is your size of your main snare drum? Is it 14x6.5 or 14x7 snare drum?
sweet kit love the color, the hardware reminds me of exhaust on a hotrod. also that follow the leader snare is badass!
What happened to his friend that was his tech from day 1 and even filled in for him in the anniversary tour when his wife gave birth he was a young kid and a great drummer
Ray is awesome but I'm really surprised that people still listen to Korn. Good for them.
Why does he use a double pedal when he has two kicks? Wouldn't it be sound heavier with using that second kick
This has got to be a pain in the ass to get perfect every time. There're so many parts and pieces I would lose my mind.
That's the 2nd drummer I've seen now with two bass drums , but uses only one with a dbl pedal .
i would have made it through the entire thing with the music on 10%. but man that is a beautiful kit.
Translation: This is some shit you will never have or be able to afford...
I thought it was spelled KoЯn
#gigglesnortgiggle
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😇
hate to be this guy but do you actually pay anything for this kit or is this dues paid and capital gains? lol
Hammerhead! Dude is an absolute BEAST!!!!
Are you using triggers (if yes, which ones) on your kick or just the mics?
Pretty interesting to see a Pearl endorser use DW hardware but I won't disagree!
What happen to your other tech who sat in for you during the pot of gold festival
Not to take away from this but R.I.P. taylor hawkins
His signature sticks is very good for hardcore and blast beats
Suspended kick drum mic?! wow thats cool
Why have 2 bass / kick drums if you only use 1? Bit silly
Hell yea they shot this in Hershey PA, I was there that night. Pit was insane.
Yep..The Pittsburgh Thunder Storm
Why does Ray have two Bass drums behind another?
What snare is that again? Didn't catch that.
Surprised he does not use a Pearl Icon rack!
Best Regards from Czechia.
When are your dreadlocks coming in?
Cheers from Texas!
🤘😎🤘
Love the kit man! Wowww!!
Wait! Those kicks!
Double Deep, double bass drums!
So sick!!
Rock in Peace!
Michael Francis
wich song ist that in the background?
That kit is KILLER! I always loved the extended hoops and longer kick drums. Makes a hell of a difference, You've inspired me a lot over the years brother and will always b one of the greats in my book! Keep KILLIN IT man and best wishes to u and the band. 🤘
Wish I could catch one of those sticks!
Love his attention to detail not only on sizes, manufactures and sound - but nuances of COLOR too! Seems like a interesting guy -and sweet for acknowledging his tech!
I was a big Korn fan back in the day... but didn't keep track of them. Recently heard Requiem... and now I'm back on board. The drums are amazing and very clear.
Imagine if he switched to SJC
