My Jeep back door was bent from trail damage, and my spare tire mount was broken, So I bought this kit over some other brands. Smittybilt company has always stood behind their products for me, so I am somewhat brand loyal. I heard many people complain about the instructions and decided to make a video with some details on the installation. The install went seamless for me, everything was well made, and the fit was just fine. The center brake light was a little bit of trial and error, as the the factory screws are too long on the bottom, and too short for the top. I drilled out the bottom so the screws had room, but shorter ones would have been a better option, the top screws I used 1 1/4” #10 sheet metal screws. The hinge is solid, and fixed my door popping sound when I would drive over bumps.
