  • In this video I do a product review of my ‪@RoughCountryTV‬ HD Tire Carrier for the 2007 - 2018 Jeep JK and JKU after having it on and using it for a little over a year.
    Additionally, I go over the install process as I disassemble mine to make some adjustments after learning some lessons on the install process of this Tire Carrier.

    I like this one. Its what I'm looking for. I believe the extra holes you referred to at 16:50 are for mounting additional hardware like the Hi Lift Jack holder (been looking for these lately and they mount onto the existing hole locations of the OEM hinges, which align with those outer holes) and maybe the flag holder.

      RC doesn’t make any accessories for those holes, and i haven’t been able to find any built that’s the correct thread to work in them either. Everything just binds up
      But the hinges have treated me well. Not had any issues

    This one looks nice! Looking for a reinforcement tire carrier for my 37X13.50 Nitto Ridge Grappler. I feel like this one would be sturdy enough. Might purchase this one! Thanks for the review

      It has no issues holding up my 35” Procomps.
      Just make sure to space everything correctly and put it as close in and down as you can without it rubbing or hitting everything and you’ll be good

    Does your spare look like it's leaning back? Installed last week and tire is leaning. Took mount off and retightened everything but it still leans. Don't know if that's normal.

    • @bigzoffroad
      @bigzoffroad  Год назад

      No not at all. Mine sits very tight into my tailgate.
      Are you sure the hinges are aligned correctly? Is the whole tailgate leaning, or just the spare?

      @@bigzoffroad Just the spare. Just realized the tailgate is rattling. Gonna take everything off and try again.

      @@allancivitello3771 i wasn’t able to find one, also, I’ve tried extensively to figure out what that those bolt holes are… they seem to be miserably in between whats closest on SAE and Metric, so nothing fits.

    • @bigzoffroad
      @bigzoffroad  2 года назад

      You’ll need to get an aftermarket brake light of some sort. I know RC has one, but i have one that is a disk and goes inside the spare tire and has a bunch of LEDs.
