    you should do a tutorial // breakdown of Quadeca’s music. it’s a weird mix of emo, lofi, indie rock, it’s extremely hard to describe it but i recommend listening to his album Scrapyard it’s really worth the listen. love what you do!

    This is such a great introduction to the genre! I think something that's really important that a lot of folks miss is the tambourine that these bands use to progress the intensity of a section without making it too rocky. Get yer tambos out 🏠

    This video is quite useful EXCEPT there was a major oversight… the vocals.
    While Midwest emo is often instrumental at times; the vocals play a major role in the emotion and vibe of each album when they are present.
    Classic Midwest emo vocals are sad, shouted, and sometimes screamed phrases of heartbreaking poetry that are a beautiful contrast to the sparkly instrumental background of each track.

    Quality just gets better and better
