Who else almost had a heart attack when he almost used the rag off of the ground?
Why would you? Lol it’s just a test panel
Go to a huge car show in October at a fairground every year as a spectator. Awful thick dust covering everything. I die a little inside every time I see someone slap a California duster on the paint and start wiping it down. Smh
Super late to the party, but after using these products for a long while, I think the liquid wax as a foundation with the spray topper seems to be the best of both worlds. Seems to last longer than just the spray, and the liquid wax product seems to fill the micro marring just a little bit more. I still think for a one and done, the spray is unbeatable but if you want to layer it and maintain with their liquid detailer you'll really see some solid performance.
My process has been to apply Hybrid Ceramic liquid wax as a base, wait for it to cure, then apply the Hybrid Ceramic spray as a spray-on sealant rather than a drying aid. After three applications of the spray over the course of a year, water still beads after at least four months. This year, I'll be stripping all layers of sealant, removing iron particles and claying the car, then do some polishing and correction to get the car back to a clean slate. Then I'll either stay with Hybrid Ceramic or try a graphene sealant.
how can you strip it besides waiting months and months or polishing? and I already know dawn dishsoap is an old internet myth that has no validity to it.@@raksh9
I like to use the liquid wax the "old school way", then use the spray wax between liquid wax uses
tru the oldschool way gives show room results
I wish you would start your torture tests with just a regular shampoo wash and see if there’s any performance change, as that’s what 99% of people will be doing throughout the year!
Joe Darley touché
Exactly BIOTCH!!!!!
Great comment. In reality regular coatumers just wash their cars with regular shampoo
The point is if it goes through the torture test , then regular shampoo will not break it down . It would be tough to replicate 100 car washes with regular shampoo in a video.
@@Spiritcr1jsher i get the point, but what will actually stand up to the torture test? i havent found anything that makes the paint pop well enough AND withstands the so-called torture test
I’m 46 and it took me a little bit to trust liquid wax sprays. my younger brother kept telling me to use spray. I just remember our dad may he Rest In Peace. Love you pops. He always use wax on the car. Just thought more elbow grease means it should work better. Great video. God bless.
just a little hint for those who have arthritis, etc - buy 50oz 'pump sprayer' to spread the Ceramic Spray Wax. Makes life a whole lot easier.....
Wth lol smh
For me the spray has been working great and it is awesome to see that I can wet-apply it like it says on the bottle and rejuvenate or even boost the beading during each wash. It takes just a few squirts and I also think using a flat fan to "spread" the product on the panel before it rinses off helps ensure complete coverage.
just a little hint for those who have arthritis, etc - buy a 50oz 'pump sprayer' to spread the Ceramic Spray Wax. Makes life a whole lot easier.....
Both products are good but in my opinion the Liquid wax is better because it’s concentrated. That means you use 4-6 drops per panel compared to 5-6 full sprays on the same panel which makes it last longer with same results. It’s more value
I used the spray on3 vehicles. One was a work truck 6 months ago still looking great today
How about detailing two halves of a car ,then drive it around for a few days on dirt roads, then see which side of the car comes cleaner with just sprayed water?
It’d be nice to something more realistic as compared to these chemical torture tests. Most of us would NEVER use these chemicals unless we are trying to get back down to pure clear coat
I applied the HCSW in the first of August. It is now near the end of December. It is still going strong. I have not applied any further wax coatings since August. I have washed it 6 times. Still going strong.
The initial coat of HCW is supposed to be rubbed in wet not dry per the instructions. The HCW is an amazing product, and can't wait to try the HC Detailer too!
will be any disadvantage doing it dry?
@@enriquedb666 scratching the surface.
@@MBCARIOTI only if you wax dirty vehicles. Not sure who does that.
Somewhere, someone with a 1978 Camaro with oxidized paint is thinking, "I'm 'on hafta git me some 'uh that."
1994 supra with fucked up paint here, and uh ... ima 'on hafta git me summa that
Ye look, sandpaper definitely works better for oxidation that's already spiderwebbing (definitely hid some though)....this shit did super help with painted plastic parts (side mirrors...thats it) that I thought I'd have to fully repaint which was nice....leaves much to be desired with hail damage though
Give it a 5/7, would not leave my car out during a storm again
Great job as Always Jimbo!
Jimbo your doing a lot for the consumer your videos have saved me hundreds of $’s what you and other RUclips detailers are doing is great these complies should be account less for what’s on label
Matt Gavin thank you
Your supposed to spray the ceramic spray wax on when the car is wet, then just rinse it off and dry the car. You can also use the ceramic spray after every wash. Looks great and couldn’t be easier
Initial base layer is spray on wet and wipe / dry off. Reapplication is spray and rinse. . Works better, spreads more even, when wiped in. Not just rinsed off.
It’s awesome and easy.
Are both of these products okay to use on (friendly to) black plastic trims?
So what do you think is better ? I’ve just bought the spray wax and love it’s ease of use .
Hey, love the spray pattern of the nozzle.....where can I get one? Or is it factor of water pressure?. Love the demo, tried both and it is easier with spray. Myth....yes
What one would you use for headlight protection
I brought this product today, and I noticed that it dryes itself and is so easy to apply and smells good too.
I too tried it today on my car and felt the same. :)
Can I combine both? If so, which should I apply first??
How long does the spray wax actually last? I've been using Prima's Epic car wax for quite a while. Easy on and off, doesn't leave a powdery residue especially on the rubber areas. It does last about 2 months depending on how much washing is done and the environment.
I like the spray because of the easy reapply. I put the foundation layer down in late fall and now that its cold and snowy here I can do the spray and rinse when I can get a wash in. Not going to be applying a liquid when its 15F out.
What type of vacuum is that the blows the air off the paint thanks man
What's more durable paste or liquid wax? Planning on applying to my wheels
Just watched Mequiars spray demo, you didn't wet the car first and then spray and then rinse, and then dry off with micro fiber towel.
True
Its has been found to work better if you apply it dry.
ruclips.net/video/s1rMMrOqGTg/видео.html
Tiger productionzz this is what I did today and it did work better dry
He did the first application which you apply it to clean surface and let it cure. Then after that you can just apply while the car is wet and dry it off to keep the hydrophobicity.
Jimbo, does the Ceramic spray wax extend drying time and help prevent waterspots like the Superior formula 4 spray wax? I'm in the central valley, 106 today and I can tell you, the formula 4 helps when drying. It's a spray, rinse, dry product. Probably zero protection but I use it to help cut water spotting!
Came from using quick wax and wet look.
Ceramic first timer. Loving the green stuff smell more than the detailer, wet look and quick wax. New favourite finish smell.
I've been cutting the spray wax about 1 in 4 with water in a separate spray bottle as a spray on, spread and microfibre off, and it works really well and lasts quite a while.
That's a really good idea. My plan is to use the liquid HCW as the base coat shd top off with spray or diluted spray between liquid applications.
I own a black colour sedan and have been using the Maguire’s liquid ceramic spray since first introduced and my question is who cares how long it lasts? I apply it every couple of washes and the car look fabulous like new all the time. Just spay when you wipe down the car, that’s all there is to it. It’s great in our Canadian winters cause the snow and ice just easily comes off. I use it on the car panels, glass, wheels. In fact I use it all over when I wash my Harley, patio sets, outside furniture, lawn mover, snowblower and so much mover. Just makes everything look like new with little future maintenance. Fantastic product. For the Harley, I also use the Hybrid ceramic green bottle when I just want to freshen up the look of the Harley before I go for a ride. First was the slice bread, then these products were invented!!
the hybrid liquid wax can be applied with a da which fast as well, so both applications are reasonably fast
Can you use them together? If so in which order?
Hey there, awesome video! What blower are you using to dry the panel, and also where can I get that cart you're using for your products? Thanks in advance! I live in South Africa.
Would you have to clay your car first before using this products or use the iron remover?
I use the spray. Works well. Beads well after second application.
The spray is effective over the liquid garbage
Keep up the great comparisons
In December, we’re happy to see double digit temps. Lol
Can you share the name of the hose knob please, thanks!
What is the best spray wax for durability, if not the one tested here!
Why did you do the ceramic coatings before the iron remover first?
I mean would you not want to remove anything that makes the paint look dirty before you put a protective coating like the ceramic products on?
I just bought the liquid yesterday and thankfully I haven't opened it yet. Will be returning the liquid tomorrow in exchange for the spray. Preciate the video.
Hi, I have been unsure whether to use the liquid wax first as a base and then use the spray wax afterwards to maintain the finish or just use the spray wax on its own? I live in a very dusty climate, not the USA, so for me the shiny silky finish finish is really important to help prevent dust collecting. Do you have any recommendations for me regarding a different product or is this spray wax the way to go? Great video, thanks in advance
This is also what I was wondering, apply the liquid wax once every six months let’s say and then top with the spray on wax inbetween like every month or so
Well after looking and looking i found your video, a DRY application of this spray, thanks....Could you tell us did you noticed anything out of the ordinary?
i was really pullin for the liquid wax but oh well. i know it says to apply the spray wax to a wet surface but i honestly hate doing that. does it make a difference too much if you spray it on a dry panel? this is the reason I was considering getting a liquid wax light the new ceramic liquid or the CG hydro wax. thanks for the advice, keep the awesome vids coming!
A number of people recommend using the hybrid ceramic spray on a lightly damp car, spraying it on and spreading it with a microfiber cloth, then buffing off the residue. This seems to produce the best results, rather than spraying it on and rinsing it with a hose. I do all applications of hybrid ceramic spray this way, and water beading continues for a few months afterwards.
Stuff works for sure . Not as glossy as a good carnuba wax but way more durable in the heat .
You should note that you can also use the spray over the liquid wax as well. And you can use the detailer over both.
Is it true the water beads bake in the sun? Leaving marks when dry
I'm an old school f11 user. I ordered nexgen and tried it on my John Deere tractor this spring. Simply amazed! Have had that tractor in the mud and washed down with just a rinse after the mud dried. Next is our Harley trike. I plan on a few coats unless you don't recommend it. Anyone interested in buying some f11 , almost two bottles left. After seeing my tractor , my Sons want NEXGEN for their bikes! Damn , I had to buy extra. They grow up , but , never move out!
Was the old" Wax as you Dry " Ceramic wax too ? I used to use this on a car I had a number of years ago.
The ceramic wax in the liquid form is awesome great finish haven’t seen how long it lasts only applied it last night but the shine and protection it gives is just beyond amazing
What is your opinion on a Maguire’s liquid ceramic vs the NXT or Ultimate was?
Quick question! 🤔 so do you need to claybar the car first and then do apply? Or could you just apply directly?
ditto
Absolutely clay first. You should not have any contaminants on your clear coat. Depending upon your current condition machine polish/compound may be in order. Wax is just covering what ever is bonded to the surface already.
Can we dilute the liquid wax and make a liquid spray out of it will it work the same
Recently started using Turtle Wax Seal n Shine based on your findings! Can't be beat for ~$10 and ease of use... and thats after having tried Collinite 845, Megs Fast Finish, & Adam's buttery wax in the past.
That ceramic
Awesome and honest comparison brother!! Im an o.t.r buzz box "reefer" hauler, and i use the bottle regularly with great success on the '19 peterbilt 579 i drive. For in between i use the meguiars wash/wax spray, and their spray wax, but i think ill add the ceramic spray as well. Ive also learnt that 'parently i use too much tho....lol the traditional i typically use on home time with a buffer, but the ceramic spray will be a great adition to my bag of weapons so to speak..proud new subber too b.t.w...
Can you use on alloy wheels aswell to stop some dirt and brake dust attaching to the wheels.
Hi Dear. Tks for the video. You said that are other products better than those. Could you tell me which one is the best for you?
I like Turtle wax and the last coat produts.
what is the blower dryer your using? didn't see it on the description
Hi, can you please tell me from your experience or opinion, how will this product " Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic hybrid Spray Wax" work or do on gelcoat, on white or colored saltwater boats (which have be normal polished and waxed before- a old school way).
Have and Would you do it on a boat or do you know somebody who have done it?
Reason is to avoid classic waxing the boat minimum 4 times per year and do it with this product 2 time per year (before and after the boating season ). I can't find anywhere who has do it on boats and how, and how long does is worth? I am thankful for any reply....
Liked your video I purchased the liquid application mainly I hope for mainly protection of the sun have you done any tests on products that protect paint from fading thx again good video
I've still got a bottle of the spray to use up. Used it only once this year and I also tried diluting some to use as a drying aid.......seems to work well.
Keith Firebird I diluted mine 10:1 for use as a detail spray. Does phenomenal at that dilution and keeps the surface freshly protected
What do u dilute it with?
I washed my car 2 days ago and its in garage now can use this prudect or I have to wash it again
What am I going to do with my Meguars Ultimate Liquidnwaz now that I have all 3 of the new hybrid ceramic wax products?
what spray nozzle are you using?
I’m still lost, all these test,I’ve seen on different channels, and still they are all about the same, one is know better than the other, not able to wash and wax like I could when in good health, unfortunately I hav to go through a car wash, but my black Caddy will be takin care of one way or another ,I know TW has changed over the years,so guess it will be the winner, thanks for the time u spent to show us this
Quick question guys, can I apply a nano ceramic 9h coat over Meguair's hybrid ceramic liquid wax for added protection and longevity? I have ordered both products and was wondering if my approach would work. I would wash/clay/compound/polish followed by applying the hybrid ceramic liquid wax and finally end with a nano-ceramic coat to seal everything ...
So they still make a liquid work so you can use with DA or orbital
Is the spray ok to use on headlights and windows?, I mean it’s gonna get on there when you do a spray and rinse right?.
Yes it is
Where can we buy that water nozzle? Please enlighten us
I think some people might be substituting a "spray wax" for a traditional wax and DA buff as their base coat. From my experiences with a lot of these products, they work best at protection, shine, and hydrophobic properties when sprayed on a vehicle that has that good base coat already put down at some point. I would not use spray waxes as my only coat of protection. That of course is just my opinion....Anyone else agree??
Do you think this spray would work on RV high gloss gel coat?
Can both waxes be applied on the PPF?
Jimbo, in this test Maguire's spray won over the liquid, however, you briefly mentioned there was another spray ceramic that you liked better. Which one do you like better? I like the ease of use of Maguire's Hybrid Ceamic Spray and have had decent results by following it with Maguire's Hybrid Ceramic Detailer. I would prefer better longevity and protection after use. What spray on(or spray and rinse) shine and protection do you recommend?
the last coat v2 and turtle wax.
What kind of spray nozzle is that ok your water hose?
Is it necessary to put spray polish on to or no
Question:
i will be claying, compounding, polishing and waxing my car. Do i need to wax (meguiars crystal wax) after polishing AND THEN apply this, or can i apply this directly after the polishing phase? thanks!
This goes on straight over your polished paintwork, so no need for the other wax this is the wax and ceramic bit in one
Thanks for the video I was wondering how to tune my blower
it's my understanding that the spray is for applying over top of ceramic or wax - such as the liquid stuff - to add protection and for quick touch up
Can you link the hose nozzle? Thanks👍🏻
This still, I’m currently looking for a good nozzle
Can i apply the meguiars spray on a recently waxed car?
Is it safe to use on new car and in white color??
Cool! it would be interesting to see how each would keep up when touching up with the hybrid ceramic detailer product after regular Meguiars soap.
Why?
Meguiar's makes a ceramic wash that boosts the hydrophobic properties after applying either the spray HCSW or the HCLW. As far as the Hybrid Ceramic Detailer goes, it is a great product, but I only recommend using it when the surface is cool or even cold. Otherwise, it streaks really bad. I have been using Meguiar's products for 41 years, and I am super happy with their hybrid ceramic products.
Question: why put so much other stuff over the wax after you applied it? Why not just leave the wax itself to get a true test of how the product works?
They hybrid spray on is supposed to be put on wet panels right???
Thank you so much for sorting this out. No more Meguiars Carnauba for this old timer. It should be better if you work harder, but it ain't!
For the liquid hybrid wax u need to have a wet surface. I have heard that you put the new ceramic wax on top of the hybrid wax
No that’s for spray aqueous wax, this is polish
Cool test demo. I just recently used the Meguires wax ceramic spray. So far so good. Definitely less is more with the product.
Thanks man!
@@autodetailingpodcast What detailing blower do you have ?
Great test Jimbo, however I'll stick with TW Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating/Sealant.
And I'll stick with a 4:1 solution of Meguiars Synthetic X-Press Wax used as a waterless wash, and nothing else.
Awesome thx for the video test. You did the work for me. I will take your advice and use the spray. Again thx your videos really do help people.
Spray and Seal is still the champ in my book.
What kind of towel are you using?
What if you apply first the liquid wax and after curing apply again the spray wax what will happen is it more protective or just use 1 wax?which one is better?
Ya you will see more durability if you do it that way.
I wanted the Hybrid Ceramic spray wax but it wasn't available ao I got the bottle of liquid Hybrid Ceramic wax. I think the liquid was a bit better in your video. It's all good B/C I always apply the product to an applicator anyway, even with detailer.
Because the spray wax gets overspray on other areas. And if it's too windy it's a real pain. The liquid can be applied with precision.
Where can I get the iron remover to get the ceramic wax off
Thank you so much for answering my question@
Are these products ok to use on motor home.
How well does this work on a gelcoat?
Like magic, I use it twice a year. Once at the beginning of the season and again in August. Boat has to be clean and free of oxidation first.
I have done a couple of dry applications of HCW and it looks great once you get a full coverage and this is noticeable on my black car. Summer time looks great and doesn’t attract dust which I like but now that we have moved into winter it doesn’t last until the next wash which is AT LEAST once a month. Hydrophobic’s are awesome on a spray and rinse application but are gone by the next wash even after a wash with CarPro Reset.
Applied TAC Systems Moonlight to my girlfriends car recently ( doesn’t get too much care)to test and without too much prep and so far I’m impressed so will be doing the same to mine.
