I just put the Meguiars Deep Crystal Carnauba wax in my cart to try again after over 30 years of not using it anymore. I loved Meguiars Deep Crystal line up years ago. I believe they had a "three step" system in the Deep Crystal range years ago which was a compound, polish, and wax combo. It was inexpensive and made your car look like GLASS! This was back in the day of single stage paints and before clear coats became the standard of paint now days. One of the best combinations years ago was using Meguiars Cleaner Wax (which is still available in the same formula as back then) topped with the Deep Crystal or whatever wax you had on hand. The cleaner wax was great for getting rid of light oxidation, cleansing the paint, and restoring some of the shine. If you used it from day one when you purchased your car, it helped to keep your paint in good shape for the life of your car. This was long before the days of all these detailing products that are available now days. There are so many products available now it's hard to traverse the vast websites with literally THOUSANDS of detailing products ranging from every type of polisher and pads known to man, hundreds of soaps, microfibers, three buckets, grit guards, ceramic coatings, pressure washers mounted on the wall that cost thousands of dollars, and the list goes on and on. Back in the day, you could literally detail your entire car inside and out with a few different products. A can of Meguiars Cleaner Wax, followed by a coat of Deep Crystal if you wanted POP, or my winter wax go to which was Collinite Super Double Coat (a similar wax to Fusso Coat long before Fusso ever came to the USA). The cleaner wax cleansed the paint and prepped it all at the same time given it a "prime" so to speak before laying down a coat of wax on top of the Meguiars which also had wax it in but I always used that product as a cleansing stage sort of like a pre-wax cleanser is used nowadays before the word "pre-wax cleanser" became a thing. Only one brand touted a pre-wax cleanser back then and that was P21S from Germany, and believe it or not, the same formula (even packaged in the same bottle) is still available to this day. I am a big fan of pre-wax cleansing before any coat of wax or sealant is applied to my paint. It just helps for the wax to bond better. I also love using Duragloss products and they offer a product called a "bonding agent" which sort of supercharges your sealant. It's not required for their products but they do claim it extends the life considerably when used. And the nice part about Duragloss and their bonding agent is the bonding agent can be laid down and then you put the sealant over the top of it without wiping it off first eliminating another step. You can also mix the products on a 3" pad by "buttering" them onto the pad together and apply them together, letting the combo dry to a haze, then wiping off with a microfiber towel. Duragloss is some of the best values in detailing products here in the USA, at least for consumer grade products sold at stores like NAPA or Fischer Auto Parts, etc. And the nice thing about Duragloss is their products actually WORK whereas a lot of the cheaper detailing products are complete junk. Meguiars, Duragloss, and Collinite were my go to products back in the 80's.
I just used Gold Class Carnauba Plus for the first time on my two cars (BMW Arctic White and BMW Black Sapphire, both in great condition) and I found that it was the best wax I have ever used, and I have used many different types over the years. Easy to apply, decently easy to remove and the depth and gloss of both paints after waxing was fantastic. The cars looked new.
I really appreciate the way you stay on track and keep the video moving along. I didn't have to sit and look at you lecture me for ten minutes before you got to the point. I'm subscribing. Thank you for a great video.
I like the different criteria you include in your comparison tests. It’s very helpful to hear your comments on appearance, color saturation, slickness and ease of application. Some other channels seem to judge a product mainly on chemical resistance. Car owners that enjoy waxes and sealants usually are chasing the product that makes their paint look so good that you just can’t take your eyes off it.
Thank you for the review, I'm a big meguiars fan and only just did a polish and wax on 10 year old paint, the car sits in the sun every day and the polish brought it up to new and I used "deep crystal" and wow I have to agree it not only gave the car that wet look but also deepened the colour (blue) as well as making it pop, I can't stop looking at the car, it looks amazing
I just bought some Mcguire's ultimate liquid wax because I researched long lasting wax to get me through the winter. Love the stuff very happy with its eaz of use. Hopefully lasts as long as they say.
Back in the late 90's I often used Meguiar's M20 Polymer Sealant (now discontinued) before winter, and it ALWAYS made it through. When spring arrived, I'd remove the M20 and apply M26. I could still get by with just those products today.
I use Ultimate. I apply it by hand, wait about 5 minutes, or listen to one song on Pandora, then wipe/buff it off. Mostly as a hobby and just hanging out in the garage. I try to do this at least once a season and usually before winter. I'm thinking about getting a DA polisher to make the job easier and quicker. Just have to learn about what pads to use, etc...
Griot’s black finishing pads with a simple Porter Cable polisher and an SPTA 5” backing plate. That combination is about $120, and will do you right for a decade easy. Of course, that polisher is a great entry-level unit that can yield great results once you know what you’re doing.
I used to use the meguiars carnauba works great on black but couple of hours just sitting there it’s so dusty everything sticks to it I would like to see you do a dust sticking comparison with all these
I have been using NXT for years, I always thought it was very easy to apply and to buff off. I also liked how it lifted the shine of even a very shiny paint, and how long it lasted wash after wash. The very first thing that I liked about it though is that I didn't have to be careful to avoid getting it on plastic or rubber trim.
I use NXT for one main reason. It hold both its hydrophobic & protective properties (UV, bird droppings, etc) longer than the traditional waxes. Especially on the roof, trunk & hood. Also, my preference is to first apply Meguiars polish, buff off to get a nice, clean paint shine, then apply Meguiars NTX polymer sealant. Lasts 6 - 8 months. If I have time, I will use a quality wax (after the NXT) on my roof & bonnet, just for the extra protection.
The NXT is my favorite. I don't make money from waxes, I just like to maintain my own finishes. I've tried tons of stuff through the years. The NXT is hands down the most impressive. I won't say it's better than profession products because I have no reference there.
Great presentation. 15:00 - I use Ultimate on my daily driver. Has gone through a season of snow and harsh automated washes. By far, it is the most durable while maintaining a shine when it comes time to reapply in the spring. Ultimate is my go-to from now on, it is a long lasting brute that shines pretty. Though I do agree, NXT (which I have used) gives the best gloss that is car show ready, but not so durable for the long-run. If I were to enter a car for show, I would run to NXT. Another car forum I frequent, owners did a wax compare on some high end exotics. NXT took the trophy for best gloss and shine over one of the Zymol products.
after many years of using meguairs wax my choice is the ultimate range.deep crystal more for a guy who is starting goldclass as a second option but to get maximum results on ultimate wax is after using ultimate polish 👌
Personal experience with three of the waxes without proper preparation and just a wash with a strong shampoo (paste versions): Gold class - very warm look, pleasant smell, lasts a month long at max NXT 2.0 - insane wet look and slickness, i could just sit there and run my fingers on the paint all day. It also gets me the most compliments from people. Good longevity (upto 3 months easily). Ultimate paste wax - again pretty slick to the touch, great glossy look, didn't last as long as the NXT 2.0 but my observation is skewed as the Ultimate wax was subjected to insane 2 weeks of daily driving in summers (42 degrees celsius). My pick would be the NXT as the slick finish is just unmatched by anything.
Just got myself a gold class since the people at meguiars say the ulitmate wax is better for darker paint jobs. Thanks for this as ill have my expectations set when buffing out the excess.
Deep crystal is king for me . But my car is black and well maintained. Just like you said on a defect free paint , deep crystal makes it look even darker. Love your vids
I have used the Carnuba and the Ultimate Wax from Meguiars. I use a DA, so the Ultimate seems to be my "go to" now a days. Really works well with the Ultimate Polish and Compound, as a system.
I used the Ultimate polish , then Ultimate wax and was very impressed on all fronts . I've since used the Hybrid Ceramic Wax as it's supposed to last longer . It felt strange spraying it on a wet car and rubbing it in for the first coat , but it does appear to give a great shine .
My favorites list... 1) Meguiars Hi-Tech Yellow Wax #26 2) Mothers Step 3 Carnauba Wax 3) Meguiars Gold Class 4) Meguiars Ultimate (ok in direct sunlight) 5) Meguiars Deep Crystal (It's a cleaner wax, I'd rather clay, & use a non abrasive wax) *Never bought NXT, thought of trying it. Honestly thought it was discontinued.
I've been using Meguire's #26 for 23 years and lately Meguire's Gold class and ultimate. I've also tried Chemical guys and Lucas wax but still prefer Meguire's yellow or gold class.
Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax is the retail version of M26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax. Got my first bottle of Deep Crystal Wax in 1996, and my first tin of M26 in 1999. I've been a Meguiar's guy for years too!
I use for years the meguiars waxes and am very satisfied of them. Personally I use the Ultimate Wax and the (different from your test) NXT tech wax 2.0. The Ultimate is in light favor to me, maybe because I have a dark colour paint, but as said they both do please me. I also have the NXT tech wax spray version, this is very good to apply as a "service" layer. I also reccomend to first clean your paint with the Clay bar and quick detailler and then apply your wax to give it the full potential and to maximize the smooth feel and showroom shine.
Literally stood looking at all these products at my local automotive store before choosing the ultimate wax for my black Harley, which got totally abused during a recent road trip. Super happy with the results prior to seeing this well done video. Great work and I agree with your results fully. 🤙🏼💯
great video, editing and arrangement, this together with a well known car product line range, incorporating clear outcome and definition makes this channel the number one go to for car detailing and care.
With the NXT sealant, I’m wondering if it should, or would do better in terms of water repelling if a wax was applied over the top. Maybe I missed it but the costs of the products can also be an effective method of which to choose given the RRP on the Ultimate wax is $88AU v’s say the Gold Class range at $47AU. The deep crystal can be slightly yellowing on white cars with aged paint, nor does it last the cut in terms of water repelling so I wouldn’t even go there and explains why it’s the cheapest of the four products here. Surprised to learn the nxt sealant is a cheap $44AU. I’d give it a go had they scented it because I’m a girl and I prefer it smelled nice 😂 But my point being, I really cannot see the justification in such a high price for the ultimate wax, it’s literally almost double the gold class line and more than double on the deep crystal 🤨
Ive always love meg. Ultimate line up. But im have switched from them after 10 years of use to angelwax products. The angelwax wax is more costly but it is well worth it in the end due to durability and looks
Is the NXT Polymer Paint Sealant just NXT Tech Wax 2.0 under a different name for a different market? i can only seem to find the Polymer Paint Sealant on the Australian site. Technically Tech Wax 2.0 isn't a wax as it is synthetic so it would make sense, are Australia trying to enforce an industry standard for car detailing products because that would be a smart move and help the consumer a lot as it can be a bit of a headache looking for the right product.
The cleaning wax they make is good my 83 blue Toyota was blue waxed it with the cleaning wax the rag turned blue the paint is what was called midnight blue wich was a purple came out good oxidation remover wax
I’ve always been a big fan of the ultimate wax, I’ve used it on a number of cars and been very pleased with the results. There is one exception, I now own a black car, and whilst ultimate wax still looks good, good class gives a nice warm glow to it which looks amazing. It doesn’t last as long as ultimate, but as I enjoy waxing my car this isn’t an issue.
I can see where you're coming from. Last Christmas I ended up getting some wax (Ultimate and Gold). I use Collinite on my own car, I love the stuff, but it has been fun to experiment with these products on my wife's car (it's a dark burgundy color). It looked really nice after I applied Gold Class to it today - I was pleasantly surprised! I had previously experimented with Ultimate on her car, and I prefer the Gold Class look on this darker paint as well.
Good to see I didn’t do a bad job picking up the Ultimate as my first wax that I’ll apply personally to my car... I was worried it was gonna be all marketing lol
FINALLY, Meguiar's has come out with a ceramic wax. I have lived in Las Vegas since 2004 and found right away that Carnuba wax is NOT good for very hot temperatures. I smears easily no matter how well it has been buffed. So Use only synthetic wax and detailer.
Yeah, natural carnauba wax can take a real beating from lots of hot direct sun.. a montan based wax fares a lot better in that type of climate if you want to stick to natural wax. From a purely durability and protection based standpoint, synthetics are vastly superior. A graphene based product is absolutely ideal for that climate, hopefully the ease of availability will expand quickly. What do you use out there in Vegas, something like Fusso I'd guess? Lived there for 8 years, hated every second of it, but somehow I still miss it once in awhile, which makes no sense.. 🤔😁👍
@@jdisdetermined so what products would you recommend for desert sun protection? about to move to the desert and cannot find any solid answers. Thanks!
I live in FL, hot but stupidly humid alot, what do you guys think would be better for that? (im also a beginner lol trying to get into polishing and detailing and bodywork
Do like the deep crystal for ease of use, cost, slickness and shine. It is also good at removing tar spots. Does not last very long though so use paste waxes now (BH finis or BH double speed).
Really appreciate the detail and comments on the products you are testing. I am more a hobbiest when it comes to detailing my cars, and the comments and opinions are really helpful and actually very interesting. Thanks!
I have about 19 years of experience with some of these products. Very True, Gold Class takes more time 2:25 I can;t find NXT Polymer Sealant here in the USA only NXT Tecch Wax 2.0. WTF.
The original "cleaner wax" from Meguiars is still one of the best on the market I have had many car show winners with it over the years, it last about 6 weeks not very long for todays standards but it is very easy to apply and remove, it also looks good....
I'm pretty sure it was more of a polisher than waxing. It doesn't last long at all if you let your car on the hot sun like I do. I think it would be better to apply a standalone wax afterwards. :)
Great video. Even though Meguiar's puts Wax in the name Ultimate Wax, it is actually a sealant. The wax term is meant for the average joe here in the states. Also it is interesting to hear you say that NXT is glossier because Meguiar's touts Ultimate Wax to be glossier as it has newer polymers. Your video also shows exactly how NXT is designed to sheet more than bead compared to ultimate wax. Both good sealants and both nice to work with. Ultimate Wax has always been one of my favorite off the shelf sealants . Again great video.
So technically you should wax after using ‘ultimate wax’ for maximum protection?!! Given the cost of it at double the price of their other waxes and sealants, I’d expect it to have some wax in it, like a 2 in 1 product. They say you can wax after using the nxt sealant for the ultimate protection but I don’t see this mentioned anywhere for their ‘ultimate wax’, seems odd 🤷♀️
Well I appreciate you putting up this video because most people that do things themselves use these type of products...now from a professional detailers point of view you may appreciate the ceramic coatings better but from the people that have to pay someone like you to do that type of work it's very expensive and most people can't afford that. additionally I had my car ceramic-coated as well as my wife's truck and was very disappointed in its performance versus the cost. I feel that if you use common sense washing methods and apply a halfway decent wax every few months you're finish is going to be fine regardless... it's those people that want perfection go seek out professional detailers...but that is such a small percentage of people.... though I do feel that ceramic coatings are nice and they're the new fad right now I do feel that they are over marketed over hyped and it give a false sense of security on your finish. Anyway just my thoughts 😎
I have a daily driver with average black paint so gonna try the NXT and top it with some Collinite 845. Can’t wait to see how it looks. Thanks Sandro, after watching a couple of your vids with NXT I just purchased some!
I think NXT is more for cars that don't get out often not for everyday use. In saying that, I have used it and it gives a great glossy shine and feels silky smooth afterwards
I'm a big fan of " Meguiar's GoldClass wax.....& it does take a few wipe -n- buffs to remove all of the application from the area being worked on ; and the final results , to me , are amazing..!! Years ago I actually used the Simonize Paste Wax in the popular CAN THAT you COULD RE-OPEN with a quarter and after a few starts & re-waxes , I finally got the hang of it & I can tell you ; the harder the application ; & the harder the removal ( by hand) the better off the finish will be in the end.
I've yet to see a review of Simoniz original car wax (which is very similar to Johnson paste wax). A good furniture paste wax has the longest durability but is a lot of work to remove (small sections only). My dad used to put it on his car and my girlfriends used to laugh because the would slide off the car.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing question..i like to wax my car each month using deep crystal..now does a syn wax.. or polymer protect "better"..or jus 'longer" then a traditional carbnua wax? Ty..great video!
I always think that any wax test on a product should include a carwash after application. Because some waxes no matter how thinly its applied can leave holograms after a carwash
As far as ease of application / removal, for me, no amount of difficulty is worth any increased performance. Anything that is a pain gets tossed or given away. There is a reason Gloss Coat is the only ceramic coating I'll use, amd that is ease of application. Performance is great too, so long as chemical tests aren't done before the full 30 day cure time. After seven days it can be washed, but the internals don't set up for another 22 days.
I've been using meguiars number 26 liquid yellow wax since the 1990s it's getting harder to find haven't found anything that is as good or better still using it
Gold glass or even deep crystal if you have a black car, just brings the shine out with deep looking black, but if the paint has defects or swirls use nxt, also any of these products work way better if buffed on with rotary or dual action machine
Well done great video!! One finishing touch I do is to either finish with X-wax, or Ultimate wax. The two are similar, but tend to even out the finish.
I love the ultimate line up (compound/polish/wax) and have the gold class wax as well. I have used the gold class on top of the ultimate compound and polish for great results too.
That's what I am going to do for the second round on the Lexus I just bought. Ultimate compound, then ultimate polish with the gold class carnuba. Just bought a new DA policher with. 5.5 backing plate. Going to strip the last wax and do a much more though paint correction. This time. I actually really get a lot of satisfaction out of polishing and waxing. Lol.
I own nxt and it does fill minor swirls and damages as it seals them up. However i want to try ultimate to compare them. When you apply nxt, dont apply any other wax before as for it to last longer must be applied in naked paint.
Sandro, the nxt was megs 1st ever fully synthetic 'wax', they worked on it few years later to produce the ultimate. They both don't have any natural carnuba in it. So technically nxt is a father of ultimate wax. :) Forgot to mention that one change megs did in the ultimate vs nxt is to increase longevity at the expense of look and finish.
@No Name the longevity would depend on how much exposures you get. I'm in Brisbane Australia so similar to southern California. My cars are daily driven but parked in garage at night and under shade during the day. They are washed every 3 weeks.. so for me next does 2 washers before drop off and I top it up after a 3rd or applay something else because I like to play with it. Ultimate is another car wash cycle further. If you have a light coloured car and want something that you can visibly see on car after the rain go for soft 99 fuso. On dark cars it's very tricky to get the application right and if not you will notice faint streaks ( drove me mad on one of my cars for 2 month's). Lol
I’m still confused why Megs chose to name a product ‘Ultimate Wax’ that contains no actual wax and is actually technically then a fully synthetic sealant. I’ve seen/heard it mentioned (by Megs) that for the ultimate protection/longevity after using a sealant such as their NXT product, a wax can be applied over the top to extend the life of the applied product yet haven’t seen or heard that anywhere re: their ultimate “wax”. I do like Megs products but this kind of seems misleading, and the cost of the ‘ultimate wax’ (that’s not a wax lol), is daylight robbery!
Great job and progression...Without having to watch it again and take notes, it would be great if you did a short picture of a matrix showing the four products and the four or five categories and which ones were rated 1, 2, 3 & 4 in ea. Test. Appreciate your time and effort! 😅😎
I noticed when i bought the Gold Class Carnauba Plus that its quite runny, seeing it here i saw that its different it wasnt that runny, i think i might have bought something sitting in the shelf for a long time
VERY good & informative video. A million & one thanks for presenting it. The takeaway I get from it is the differences among the four are minor to minimal, & personal preferences will be the ultimate decider. I LOVE the smooth "slide" finish of NXT - reminds me of the Blue Coral rubbing compound I used to use 50 years ago (dating myself, aren't I?) on my old Sport Fury. joeinbuenosaires 😎
Best wax I've ever found is Selleys Silicone car wax. Sadly that was in the 1970's and it is no longer available. Probably because it worked well and lasted so long, that you rarely had to use it, so didn't have to keep buying loads of it. Car waxes these days are made like car wiper rubbers. Made not to last, so you have to keep going back and buying more. The industry is not going to make a product which lasts, and thereby puts itself out of business.
Sandro this is why I use anger buffing cutting the car is this enough ? This is not for show cars just for old cars after detailing and advertise to sell is this good enough cut and the polish-wax ? To get rid for the swirl marks and Protect
Carnauba wax is great for a nice shine but unless your car is garaged all the time and rarely exposed to the elements, the wax does not much to protect the car's clear coat.. Synthetic waxes give the best and longest lasting protection.
strange or interesting. for the slickness test in one of your previous videos deep crystal wax was looking super slick. and the bottle slid off the panel super fast like the bottle was free falling. but here it shows its not so much and its gripping up and not falling down all the way. any reason why? is the panel on the same angle you always put it?
No, I’ve answered this a few times in the comments. The angle is always set differently to try and best show the differences in this area. If it was always set the same for all products it wouldn’t show distinguishing differences as in some cases all the products wouldn’t side at all and in other tests they would all rocket down at high speed - so a bespoke approach helps obtain the best data for different product comparisons 🙂
You can really use any car wax or sealant after washing your car and without doing a more involved paint prep process. It’s just more so that it won’t tend to perform quite as well or you may not experience it as good as you could. But it could still work relatively well and it’s certainly better than not having any paint protection on your car.
Really good video I've love Meguiars products and have used them for years, I've always been indecisive with the waxes and this video found me in time for my latest detail session. I too really like the deep crystal Wax, especially on a black car. It definitely brings out the best in a good finish and I couldnt agree more with your views on it here. I recently corrected a black 2013 car using Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish followed by DC Wax and the finish is very very good. So much clarity and depth in the black it very very good. Thanks for a detailed review of these products
i would suggest to get the professional line of product and not the consumer line which arent as good . as example the meguiars pro line have the brown bottle , the consumer line are black bottles
That sounds great but that line is like 7-10years old when compared to consumer. I bet you the old water beading is less effective than the new nxt or ultimate polymers.
Hi Sandro Can you advise me please I have a badly dull & faded, no cracks or peeling, white (not pearl) vehicle Can i bring it back to a mirror shine? & how & what should i use Thanx

How about NXT’s durability based on your experience? Will you recommend?
Hi will nxt make my car paint look darker
I use NXT for one main reason. It hold both its hydrophobic & protective properties (UV, bird droppings, etc) longer than the traditional waxes. Especially on the roof, trunk & hood. Also, my preference is to first apply Meguiars polish, buff off to get a nice, clean paint shine, then apply Meguiars NTX polymer sealant. Lasts 6 - 8 months. If I have time, I will use a quality wax (after the NXT) on my roof & bonnet, just for the extra protection.
What do you think of using the deep crystal on top of ntx?
Or the other way around?
Personal experience with three of the waxes without proper preparation and just a wash with a strong shampoo (paste versions):
Gold class - very warm look, pleasant smell, lasts a month long at max
NXT 2.0 - insane wet look and slickness, i could just sit there and run my fingers on the paint all day.
I use Deep crystal on a 4 year old good not great maintained basque pearl red car! 👀
I have used the Carnuba and the Ultimate Wax from Meguiars. I use a DA, so the Ultimate seems to be my "go to" now a days. Really works well with the Ultimate Polish and Compound, as a system.
What a thorough comparison, well done!
Thank you. Now my baby is shining like the sun
1) Meguiars Hi-Tech Yellow Wax #26
2) Mothers Step 3 Carnauba Wax
3) Meguiars Gold Class
4) Meguiars Ultimate (ok in direct sunlight)
5) Meguiars Deep Crystal
(It's a cleaner wax, I'd rather clay, & use a non abrasive wax)
*Never bought NXT, thought of trying it. Honestly thought it was discontinued.
so would you recommend these steps?
1. wash
2. clay
3. compound ( M105)
4 polish ( M205 )
5. wax ( M26 Yellow wax )
thanks ~
Excellent, excellent demonstration comparison!
Damn dude I’m so happy to find a Aussie detailer !!
@Sea Life very funny comment 😂
ME TOOOO
@@angelina._.2868 feels so authentic and we are lucky Sandro is as real as it gets. No gimmicks here
@Sea Life for reals bro?
I’d give it a go had they scented it because I’m a girl and I prefer it smelled nice 😂
But my point being, I really cannot see the justification in such a high price for the ultimate wax, it’s literally almost double the gold class line and more than double on the deep crystal 🤨
Great video and well said " an easy and pleasurable user experience is actually at the top of the head' !!!!!!!!!!!
The NXT had amazing sheeting action when you flooded it. The panel was virtually dry.
Ive always love meg. Ultimate line up. But im have switched from them after 10 years of use to angelwax products. The angelwax wax is more costly but it is well worth it in the end due to durability and looks
Gold Class Carnauba always gives me the results I want.
I really love Meguiars Gold Class. It brings out a deep shine I’ve never seen before. Great video!
I was worried it was gonna be all marketing lol
its almost magical and although expensive, it lasts longer and you dont need much product for each application.
Anything meguiars can be trusted!
NXT smells great, goes on thin, and is easy to buff to a nice clean shine. Great product.
I thought it says in the video that the nxt is the only product tested that was unscented??
Thanks!
Megiuars Ceramic Hybird wax is the future now! Best sheeting of water on the market. Leaves a great shine too. Shawn.
Is it better than the meguiars ultimate wax?
I think from an over performance perspective HCW is better
I have about 19 years of experience with some of these products. Very True, Gold Class takes more time 2:25
I can;t find NXT Polymer Sealant here in the USA only NXT Tecch Wax 2.0. WTF.
It’s actually the other way around here, we don’t have the NXT Wax - but they may be the same protect or at least very similar
A great, thorough test of these products and very helpful to me. Thank you.
Thanx for clearing that up..i was lile wax..but it says its a synthetic

Always wanted to see the differences between these products. Thanks Sandro
Very good!!!!
Mi favoritas:
1.Meguiars NXT👍👍👍
2.Meguiars Gold 👍👍👍
Cual de las 4 es mejor para darle un mayor brillo a la pintura?
I've yet to see a review of Simoniz original car wax (which is very similar to Johnson paste wax). A good furniture paste wax has the longest durability but is a lot of work to remove (small sections only). My dad used to put it on his car and my girlfriends used to laugh because the would slide off the car.
Beautiful work. Love how you showed the difference between wax and no wax on the black panel. Thanks Sandro
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing question..i like to wax my car each month using deep crystal..now does a syn wax.. or polymer protect "better"..or jus 'longer" then a traditional carbnua wax? Ty..great video!
Once again an informative and unbiased comparision. Love your vids. From the content to the editing and music.
I can understand this method but I think you should use a slightly larger area, and maybe use a hand held micro glass might be of help
I've been using meguiars number 26 liquid yellow wax since the 1990s it's getting harder to find haven't found anything that is as good or better still using it
nxt wax no doubt haved used it for 3 years best for metallic paint! good shine awsome water habits and easy to use
Gold glass or even deep crystal if you have a black car, just brings the shine out with deep looking black, but if the paint has defects or swirls use nxt, also any of these products work way better if buffed on with rotary or dual action machine
Finally a video this important
Your video explains the differences in the products.
Well done great video!! One finishing touch I do is to either finish with X-wax, or Ultimate wax. The two are similar, but tend to even out the finish.
I live in Karachi Pakistan I like your comments send 4 month ago
Sucks NXT is discontinued. I've gotten some amazing results with that stuff.
Lol.
This is what I do also, mainly because I can’t justify the cost of the Ultimate Wax at $88, I think that’s insane for what it is!
This is a great video man....I watched it 4 times because I'm still undecided between ultimate and the deep crystal
A Honda Civic of old👍👍that car is how I learned backwards donuts in the snow🤣😂🤣
Thanks for taking the time to make this video, very interesting and thorough comparision.
I own nxt and it does fill minor swirls and damages as it seals them up. However i want to try ultimate to compare them. When you apply nxt, dont apply any other wax before as for it to last longer must be applied in naked paint.
Well done with this video with all the tests.
Lol
According to Meguairs site the NXT does have wax in it..www.meguiars.com/ingredients/1677
Crystal wax gonna be my next product.

They have even more waxes, I miss their black paste wax!
Sweet Project Cars channel said that you can apply Ultimate even in the sun, and that it doesn't leave white marks in cracks and such.
So Ultimate wax for my uncorrected paint.
I had a black Harley and Gold Class made that look flawless.
Wait, how about meguiars cleaner wax?
it's 2021 and I still come back just to see that Honda
🙂
I noticed when i bought the Gold Class Carnauba Plus that its quite runny, seeing it here i saw that its different it wasnt that runny, i think i might have bought something sitting in the shelf for a long time
Sometimes a really vigorous shake can help if it’s separated.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing ok will try that
VERY good & informative video.
This review has all of the elements that make a good video. Well done, heading to store for my deep crystal.
No te conocía pero después de ver el Honda automáticamente supe que eras confiable 😂❤
Thank you so much for your review! Very helpful!
strange or interesting. for the slickness test in one of your previous videos deep crystal wax was looking super slick. and the bottle slid off the panel super fast like the bottle was free falling. but here it shows its not so much and its gripping up and not falling down all the way. any reason why? is the panel on the same angle you always put it?
No, I’ve answered this a few times in the comments. The angle is always set differently to try and best show the differences in this area. If it was always set the same for all products it wouldn’t show distinguishing differences as in some cases all the products wouldn’t side at all and in other tests they would all rocket down at high speed - so a bespoke approach helps obtain the best data for different product comparisons 🙂
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing ahh ok. Thanks
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Would you recommend using the deep crystal carnuba wax on the surface of a car that is NOT paint prepped?
Really helpful 👍
i would suggest to get the professional line of product and not the consumer line which arent as good . as example the meguiars pro line have the brown bottle , the consumer line are black bottles
That sounds great but that line is like 7-10years old when compared to consumer. I bet you the old water beading is less effective than the new nxt or ultimate polymers.
Another good video Sandro, I would love to see a detailed video about glass correction.
Glass correction? Like fixing scratches on glass?
¿can you do a test between Meguiars Professional line M27, M26 and M21? Thanks!
I’ll add it to the list!
Excellent video what is the best wax to use like all 3 products
You haven't tested the Turtle wax ceramic graphene paste wax? I would love to see your views on it.
No I couldn’t seem to find it at the time or else I would have given it a go.
Hi Sandro
Can you advise me please
I have a badly dull & faded, no cracks or peeling, white (not pearl) vehicle
Can i bring it back to a mirror shine?
& how & what should i use
Thanx
I just realized Ive been using way to much wax. Just did two coats of Gold class nad one coat of NXT that I have to go to the garge and wipe off lol
Your reviews are always top notch keep it up Sandro
Great video I like the side by side comparisons and how you weren’t biased just gave your opinions pros and cons
