I want to see you put F11 to those tests!!
f11 topcoat is another one id be curious to see if its worth it.

I would be extremely curious if any company ever offered him a cash incentive to give a biased review although!?

Highlight of the week you mean
I know this is an older video, but I just wanted to say that I have used Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions on my vehicles, since viewing this (a year ago) and it is an incredible! It lasts an extremely long time and makes the finish of the vehicle feel very soft and slick. It seems to even repel dust. I told my friends, and they are using it too. Keep up the great work. It is appreciated!
Thanks, will do!
It really is great, and it even does a pretty good job at hiding very minor swirling on my car.
Agreed. The turtle wax spray does seem to last longer than the Meguiars product in my experience. Especially after rain, & in normally sunny conditions here in Australia. Beautiful shine too!
*thank you PF, bought both because of this video!
I just started using it on my car, and I'm super impressed. Definitely worth it for $15
I have been using Meguiars for a long time and so far I have not found anything better. If you have a car the size of a matchbox, then you can use any protective coating, because it’s not a very big job to put a new coating, and if you have a truck or a huge van, you won’t find better Meguiars because in order to update the protection layer All you have to do is spray onto wet surfaces and rinse with water. And this advantage cannot be beaten by any of the considered coatings. Meguiars the best
I love your non-sense style! Thank you for taking the time to go through the effort. :)
You are welcome!
Oh shit! Chef JP
So crazy to see one of my favorite RUclipsrs commenting on another one of my favorite RUclipsrs videos of a totally different genre! I love both of you guys! Hello from a year later lol!
"Non-sense" style? Did you mean "No nonsense"? Or does he have no sense?
Product CEO's worst nightmare, hearing PF saying "We're going to test that" while reading the advertising label. Great vids PF.

Could you do a video comparing 10" non stick skillets, like enamel, ceramic, teflon, stainless steel please.
This would be cool.
have your wife do it.
This! Would be cool if he included the Satake Lightweight cast iron pan. If it's avaliable across the Atlantic.
Yesss!
the correct answer is, "your grandmother's cast iron skillet." yep.
I always imagine the product engineers for the winning companies throwing a "nasa style" celebration after taking home the gold in these tests. All the effort you put into these trials and videos is more appreciated than i think you will ever know. The mass majority of us work very hard to make our livings, and it is absolutely fantastic to have such great information about the products we spend our hard earned money on with high expectations from the claims the products make. Thankfully for us, we now have you Project Farm to prove whether their claims are justified, or crap. Thank you!
You are welcome!
And the marketing department nervously biting their nails during the testing!
Some of us are pretty disconnected from work. It's not healthy to care too much about work.
@@valuedcustomer94384 yeah in some cases id agree. However, if your work is something you are passionate about in life, then is it unhealthy? Id argue the opposite. Its healthy to find pride in what you do and how you provide for yourself / your family.
@@kylewellman402 Passion is great but I think a lot of people form a personal identity that is then deeply associated with work. I've seen people fall apart after they get fired or laid off, which will eventually happen.
@Project Farm: I bought the Turtle HS Wet Wax because of your test. I applied yesterday and today I tested it because there was light rain and i needed to drive a bit. I say you were right. This is a very good product I’m fully satisfied with it! I’m glad that you tested a product that I can buy in Hungary too. 😅

I have mentioned this a couple of times before but I will say it again. This channel is a real gem in the morden RUclips. All tests and comparisons are done right in place with no BS talking for half a hour, no stupid ads, Instagram/TikTok references etc. Thanks for another super useful review! 20 years ago as an auto detailer I established Mothers as one of the best. Have used on my personal vehicles ever since. Thanks to this video, yesterday I tried the hybrid solutions product. Wow! Turtle wax hybrid solutions has taken over Mothers as my new go-to! Excellent vid. Succinct, thorough and very thoughtfully arranged. You provide all the info we need, nothing we don’t. Your channel stands as an example of how to present great content on RUclips. Thank you for all the work you put in to help your viewers a become little bit smarter for every vid we watch.

Personally I love any meguire product but ima going to try that turtle wax hybrid too
KelMaster Construction it will its one of the best as far as beading but itll still get dirty and still wont clean well in auto car wash
I do mean the touchless car wash that you drive into and sit in car while it washes but i realize they dont clean the dirt off the paint very well. I just mean that with the turtle wax stuff on the paint you would think the dirt would wash off more easily but it doesnt. I just thought the dirt wouldnt stick to the paint as well but seems about the same. Sry for the confusion

Thank you for this revealing comparison, and for the great production work. I appreciate how you did the side-by-side video comparison of before and after, for each product. Among many great things about these videos, in addition to how thorough and well thought out they are is that Todd is clearly having fun. Another bonus is no politics. We can all have fun watching and learning without the desire to cut each others throats if we disagree.

I personally use the Hybrid Solutions ceramic wax. Stuff is great. For it to last the longest, make sure to put on one layer, wait 24 hours then put on another layer. Stuff lasts for about a year. Glad to see I made the right choice!

I believe I left a similar comment on another video related to this, but here goes again. I first used a ceramic coating on my 2013 RAV4 last April, as I was tired of having wax coatings wear away too easily. Was very impressed with the results from the get go. Come late October, I wanted to protect the paint during another Maine winter. Well...the coating was still beading up water like it did in April. Heck, maybe summers were not too bad on the coating. I did a quick recoat anyway, and wished for the best. This past weekend...two days ago, 6 months after the recoat...I gave my RAV4 a nice, spring cleaning, inside and out. The ceramic from October looked like it had just been applied!! This is after a relatively mild Maine winter, but still...lots of snow, cold and salt spray from the roads. What I used last April, and still do, was the Turtle Wax one you had as number one. In a real world 'test', your results were confirmed! Thank you Todd...my 10 year old RAV4 looks awesome! As one more comment...do not skip the clay bar step. You will not believe the crud that it picks up that you can't even see normally.
You are welcome! Thanks for sharing!
The review i didn't know i needed! Even though it is an older review, it still showed up in my suggested feed and man.... talk about fantastic information! The way you do your comparison testing is second to none! I live in a very wet and rainy part of the USA making waxes and coatings a big deal. Thank you for doing this review!
As a detailer, I thought this video would be misleading or not accurate to real life abuse. But this test was extremely well done and very thorough. If you look at Adams polishes, you'll find a LOT of great durable products. Same with the new line from Turtle Wax. The game has definitely changed for the better.
Thanks so much!
Project Farm's hellish tests are why I'm subscribed. lol
I'm honestly surprised at how well Turtle did in this compared to their past products.
Turtle Wax has up'd their game over the last year or so (the Ice line of products is VERY good...even to the pros). However, he did get some help from gravity on the slickness test with the sponge/plate on a couple of the products (Ethos almost fell).
@@jeremiahbachmann3901 May have to try them again. I last used turtle wax a decade ago and it worked... less than advertised.

I knew Turtle Wax would be a top choice. I was thinking the Mother’s CMX would be best. Guess I was wrong. Another great review Todd. Thank you.
You are welcome!
Ive been detailing cars on the side for a few years now and I've been experimenting with coatings. When CMX came out, it was a game changer. Lasted decently well, and gave good protection. Gloss was left to be desired though. When put to the test however I noticed it's longevity was iffy. Definitely great compared to other products but I found I was having to reapply more often given the fact I can't wash my car often due to school. I've always been skeptical of turtle wax until they released their hybrid solutions. That stuff packs a major punch in durability, longevity, gloss and protection. Pair it with the ceramic wash they have and maintenance of the coating in incredibly easy to do. My car hasnt been washed in over 3 weeks, and still looks incredible. Definitely give it a try
Yep, I'll vouch for the Turtle Wax as well. I quite literally just threw out all my other products the other night. There's no point, all my old carnaubas and synthetic waxes are straight up obsolete. The stuff is just stupid, I haven't washed my car in at least 3 weeks, it just rained a few days ago at work, dried by the time I left, and even though it's obviously dirty from the water drying, it still has such an incredible gloss that you can hardly tell it's dirty. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed by this stuff. I applied 2 coats to each our cars like it recommended, 24 hours apart. I haven't used TW products in years, but holy cow did they ever knock this one out of the park.
...and meguiars was bought out by 3M
Whenever I’m doing any research on just about anything your channel is my first go to. Thanks a lot and hybrid solutions is definitely inexpensive and works amazing.

@@ProjectFarm @MastaFlash13 The interesting thing about this comment is most people in the car 'detailing scene' are moving to Turtle Wax Seal & Shine (improved formula / yellow stripe on bottle)
There is a video talking directly with the chemist and marketing heads of turtle wax. Seal and Shine does have SiO2 in it. The new formula adds UV protection and less streaking. But still consider the “ceramic” branded bottle to be slightly better. This is from Turtle Wax real world results may differ.

This video is the best demonstration out there hands down. Such a clever way to test the sickness and longevity of each product. Awesome job
Thanks!
Thank you. You tested products that I was trying to choose between and I was shocked at the outcome.
You are so welcome!
I’d like to see how they hold up to long term sun and weather exposure. Get an old hood and apply the products. Then put them outside and wash it once a month and show us the results.
Yeah I was somewhat underimpressed by this test. Sure we can get an indicator of the quality of the products, but a more real world test would be great. Like driving through a automated car wash and see what happens to the products.
Thanks for the video idea.
@@ProjectFarm Old hood would also a good test for how good they are at hiding small scratches and imperfections.
Was going to suggest the same thing 👍
I half agree that it wasnt a "real world test" but I doubt driving around and getting rained on every so often is going to compare to spraying your bonnet with industrial degreaser.
Mr PF: "Honey can I borrow your car?" Miss PF: "You're not gonna scratch the hood like last time right?"
Mr PF: "No hun, this time, I'm gonna wax it."
lol Thanks for watching.
In the dog house with you!
@Green Giant Dude, shut your green ass up with that sin shit.
Someone's sarcasm detector is broken.
Your reviews are on so many products are always thorough and no-nonsense.
Thanks!
Always the better of the persons to perform a comparison! Thank you sir
For anybody interested, I used the turtle wax stuff last summer (I think in July). It's now April of this year, it rained a little at our car meet last week, and I had the most impressive water beading compared to anybody at the meet! The stuff is crazy. I did two coats, which is suggested for truly long lasting results. The best part is, there's enough in the bottle that you can do two coats no problem at all!
Thanks for sharing.
very curious to try, but the amazon comments are flooded with bad reviews.
@@chasesielbeck6557 Interesting, I haven't looked at the reviews there yet. All I can say is making sure you have a good clean surface, and doing two applications works pretty well.
@@tnast I plan on thoroughly cleaning and clay barring beforehand, i may go with it since it held up very well in the video. they also have a graphene I saw and hope PF makes a video with that as well.
Good to know on the quantity. I was thinking of applying two coats too, but didn't see what kind of coverage to expect from a single bottle.
I'm going to buy turtle wax right now
Thanks for sharing!
Turtle wax Seal n Shine seems pretty good and doesn't require curing time, take a look at it too
Tried the Turtle wax, it was easy to apply and looks like a new car finish gloss.
@@hekinho1 Car Craft Auto Detailing has done a bunch of tests and compared Seal N Shine and Hybrid Solutions Ceramic. He said Hybrid Solutions is better to work with, but Seal N Shine actually protects the paint better.
Thanks Project farm! As I'm lazy and don't know much about paint, this helped me a lot!
I'll use Turtle wax from now on once a year.
It should go for atleast 10month so that's great! I'll coat the windows as well twice a year!
I love being able to come back to your previous test before purchasing
Thanks for sharing.
These are very well designed tests. Kudos PF!
Thank you!
Quality of content on this channel has gone up amazingly. I work at an auto parts store, and now I know what to recommend to people. Thanks for all the hard work!
You are welcome!
This guy spits out so much information in such a short time without pauses, uhms or anything. Never misses a beat. Amazing!
The power of editing.. it is very high effort and appropriated
Editing Trevor, it's called editing
I can't get enough of this guy and all he does.
Thanks!
You sir, are THE champion of product testing. Thank you for all you do.
Thanks and yo are welcome!
Before watching this I was procrastinating about buying a ceramic spray after a convincingly enticing ad caught my attention while on instagram. After watching this I IMMEDIATELY deleted it from my cart and got the turtle wax hybrid solutions!!! DUDE you made me dodge a bullet!!
Glad to hear! Thanks for sharing.
Hands down my favorite RUclipsr! I have been using the meguiars hybrid ceramic wax and I have been recommending this product to everyone. I have a 1999 Isuzu trooper and always have people at the car wash ask me what I use. Before watching your video I told my wife I would buy whatever product showed the best result since I am a user of meguiars and the turtle wax won the battle. I will now try their products. Love your channel and consistency in your science! Thumbs up!👍🏻
Wow, thank you!
Once again the best channel on youtube for DIYer's. I used the hybrid solutions on my 2015 Accord that has some flaws in the finish...hands down the best the car has looked since it was new. I was planning on applying a second coat but after watching this review I'm letting one coat do the job. Thanks for all the work.
You are welcome! Thanks for the feedback.
I am most impressed by the marker still showing on the hood after all those cleaning steps!
Thanks!
¿¡Do you have any idea how many smart and informed purchasing choices you've helped me make over the years?! ¡Not only do I respect the heck outa your work ethic, I appreciate it till all get out!👍
That is awesome!
Great video, you knew I was going to chime in on this. Always tune right in as soon as I get home on Mondays. Glad to see TurlteWax performing so well. We sprayed a lot of cars in their parking lot testing several of their formulations back in the early 90's. They have come a long way. Ceramic coatings are very different than waxes. Most waxes use a fugative emulsifer so they can be removed with an alkaline cleaning product. Ceramics actually cross link the silicon matrix and are much less soluble. Car detailers these days can be real artists smoothing the paint surface and making htem look like glass. There is an instrument out there, I think made by Byk Gardner that measures the water beading angle on the surface. This is used to measure the hydrophobic strength of the coatings. I love your taped off hood section test. Shows a great deal of side by side results.
Thanks so much!
Wow do I enjoy this channel! The testing methods are so excellent and enjoyable. When I can immediately go buy the winner, this sense of anticipation is like being a kid the night before Christmas. Congrats on such great work!
Buddy I’m like 15 reviews deep here on your channel… I cannot believe I made it this long in life before truly discovering your channel. I’d seen the thumbnails before but didn’t know what you were about.
I am, for the first time in who knows how long, excited that I have found a trustworthy, entertaining, and useful resource on RUclips. I had pretty much reserved myself to the fact that everyone is pandering and that’s just the way of the world, but you really do offer something wildly unique in this space. Nothing surprises me anymore in this life, but I am truly blown away by how you operate. Please don’t ever stop.
Welcome! Thanks so much!
I have two coats of the 🐢 hybrid ceramic coating on my tundra and so far it’s really easy to keep it clean, it loves the rain and car wash doesn’t affect the product I agree 100% with the results you get, Thanks for the video,
You are welcome!
Need a “We’re gonna test that!” Hoodie
Great suggestion!
@@ProjectFarm I would buy this t shirt lol
Yes please. It must include a lawn mower for the graphic though. Lol I’d buy it
@@ProjectFarm I'm in for one for sure...!
I love the time and effort putting making these type of videos. Your information is valid far as I'm concerned. I tend to share it with friends and the mighty Facebook.
Awesome, thank you!
I really love his reaction when he’s really impressed.
Lol, Thanks for sharing!
I love the creativity for finding a controlled, consistent, numerical tests, to confirm what works from worst to best!
We’re missing the “real” ceramic coatings like CarPro, Nano, etc. would be cool to see how the MUCH CHEAPER Hybrid Solutions holds up to those!
Thanks for the suggestions for future round of testing.
when I started watching this video I thought myself I’m pretty sure those are not ceramic coatings but are synthetic polymer coatings I looked it up and it’s actually kind of confusing but I’m mostly right ceramic spray waxes are infused with about 10 to 14 percent SiO2 the SiO2 that makes it ceramic doesn’t fully harden and bond to the surface mixed with that amount of polymers at such a low percentage of SiO2. Ceramic nano coatings have a SiO2 with diy 80-86% professional grade 93% I think for the first time applier 80% would be the best as it’s the most forgiving mess up and it’s a pain in the ass to get off.
If he does these I'd like to see him these super cheap "Mr Fix" ones on ebay, as well.
I saw Hydro Silex advertised as well, but you can't tell how biased the company is when they do their own demonstrations

Before I ran to the parts store to by a spray wax I search for Project farm spray wax and knew there would be a video. Ended up buying the Hybrid solutions and loved it. Thanks for making my choice easy.
You are welcome!
I feel like I’m watching a race every time I view one of these videos, “hybrid solutions narrowly takes the lead followed by ethos, wow what a showdown!!!” Lol I love project farm

Hahaha seriously! That commentary is awesome!
