I also like the black best. I also like the idea of tattoos or stickers on some just to see how they would look. Had no idea spray paint would come off silicone mold like that. Thank you Claire
How did I miss this video last night? Must be the heat melting my brain. The black background is very mood ring-ey, too, but I see the Nothern lights in them, too. (I tried seeing them in the sky over the weekend, too, but I might have been too late, they were nowhere at 2 am.)
Cool! I like the blacks better as well. If I had the thoughts of northern lights, I would use a black pen and do a row of tree silhouettes then topcoat. I'm sure all of them would be interesting backgrounds for any added focal point.😊
I agree with the Northern Lights vibe. Not crazy about the white backing. I’d like to see this done with a metallic paint. Good experiment! Thanks, Claire! 🌻
I am with you on the black background having better results. But under the light, I liked the half black half white best. It was probably the camera angle, but it looked like the northern lights in the sky and then washing down over the earth. ❤
Hi from Nebraska Claire! We all hope you are doing well also! Hang in there. Speaking as one who's been through it and come out of the other side, there is life after menopause. I just wanted to add that I have seen other resin artists use actual spray paint to color the resin by spraying it into a cup and then pouring it in. I believe Steve McDonald has a video where he does it quite successfully. Lovely outcome for your pieces in this experiment. 😊 Keep up the good work!
Great experiment Claire 👍 Loving the black much more than the white 😊If it was me I would have to put a black wolf vinyl (or something like that) and top coat it 😄
These are pretty, but I was also disappointed in the lack of luster! I am wondering if you could make the resin pendants and spray paint them after they cure? Thank you for doing this video❣️
You asked what we would do. I would grab alcohol ink markers and enhance the colors. But that's just me. I like things to be obnoxiously colorful. They came out great either way.
I was also thinking that the white ones were gonna be more ✨️ 😅 I do like the 2 on the right under the black ones.. maybe you can give them some more bling with a topcoat over them?? I have no idea, sorry.. 😁 I'm learning gel nails but I do love your videos too.. I would love to do resin too, but I don't have enough room for all.. 🤭 Thanks for sharing your ideas, and I wish I saw the northernlights.. I'm from Belgium, and I never saw them in rl.. 😘😘🥰
We were able to see the Aurora Borealis here too, my sister got a gorgeous photo but like you I was completely unaware and missed it. So gutted lol. I definitely agree your black pendants give off that vibe! Wondering if a big domed top coat would make the colors pop more? Either way, really loving your tutorials sweetheart. They are always so enjoyable to watch 😊❤
This seems no different than spray painting the resin after curing instead. With that in mind, you might get a nicer shine with a coating of transparent gloss spray. Try a batch where you pour and cure the resin and spray it the way you sprayed the mold and compare the 2 methods to each other. If there’s no difference, then maybe don’t make a mess on your mold that needs to be cleaned up. These methods rely on the painting skills of the artist. The other method you mentioned by floating the paint in water before dipping your mold allows the paint to blend more freely so gives a nicer effect without requiring any special skill or post processing.
Yes to Nothern lights kissed by Slimer! 🤪 I would probably just add one tiny silver sequin star on the black ones and maybe sprinkle some glitter on the white ones before the topcoat.
Maybe topcoat with sparkle? Even use black silhouette stickers then topcoat?
I wonder if they would pop more with a top coat. Very pretty. The black ones are my favs.
Black, yes. But I i like the last two whites because of the variety of color. I'd definitely tattoo the yellow ones.
Black background ones are definitely the best. They really do look gorgeous and might really pop even more with the top coat.
Northern lights vibe for sure..Top coating them is a great idea..likely the colors would pop!
I also like the black best. I also like the idea of tattoos or stickers on some just to see how they would look. Had no idea spray paint would come off silicone mold like that. Thank you Claire
White ones I immediately thought "washi tape" of some sort and a top coat.. black ones..... yes ! Northern Lights! 😃👍

They are beautiful. They don’t need any decoration 🥰

I prefer the black, but adding some peace signs, lightening bolts etc maybe the answer.
These do look like northern lights,Ms Claire 😍😍😍. Lovely technique and love these fabulous results 😍💜

Beautiful pieces Claire❤❤❤I think the white is nicer and brighter ❤❤❤
The black kinda look the mood rings they had when I was a kid 😂 And maybe a drizzle across the mold. Think I will try that 💞
Hi Claire you're so right about the black looking like the northern lights 🌌 love it 😍, thanks for sharing ❤❤❤ xxx
Much prefer the black - I'd probably top coat for a shiny finish - Northern Lights - Yes
the white background ones remind me of solar flares xx

Love the black ones best. Very northern lightsish

I would stamp or use tattoos. Then uv resin. I think they are lovely but I am not crazy for the neon look.
Id pull out my old nail stamping plates and put some awesome prints on them. Maybe gold or silver on the black. 🤔 🤔
I love the black. I wonder if a thin layer of clear resin would work, then spray the paints, then the blocks of colour, or vice versa?
This technique is also amazing, Ms Claire 😍. The charms look amazing 💜💜💜.Hope you are feeling good now 💜
Black is my favorite. Tattoos would be great ❤
These are pretty, but I was also disappointed in the lack of luster! I am wondering if you could make the resin pendants and spray paint them after they cure? Thank you for doing this video❣️

Hi Claire. These are all gorgeous. 😊😊 I do like the dark ones better though. 😍
I was also thinking that the white ones were gonna be more ✨️ 😅 I do like the 2 on the right under the black ones.. maybe you can give them some more bling with a topcoat over them?? If you do that technique again, try swirling the paint while it's wet.
I think they came out really cool.
I think I would do something like black temp tattoos on the white background ones

Try spraying the metallics! I wonder if that comes out differently.
Love love love love!
I think the black would pop with a top coat
Wow! These are gorgeous, Claire. 👏🏻👏🏻Sorry I missed the chat, had an appointment.
Love the pale ones 👏👏
These are lovely very different results between white n black n dnt worry I missed the lights too xx
I will rewatch it ,Ms Claire as I missed a few mins
Thanks for sharing ❤
Maybe top with a little uv resin to see if they brighten up? 😊xx
Yes to Nothern lights kissed by Slimer! 🤪 I would probably just add one tiny silver sequin star on the black ones and maybe sprinkle some glitter on the white ones before the topcoat.
I think you needed a better coating of spray paint but look at the celling action happening in them that's very interesting
I like the black too. Would a clear top coat bring out the colours?
You could drizzle eco and maybe even embellish with foils?
The ones with the black background look more like matt holographic than Northern lights too me
fantastic :) love that
Hi Claire. What do you ise to clean the paint off your moulds? Im hesitant to try this but love the look.
Would a top coat of UV resin brighten them up??
Use a black light on them
You know I've been watching your channel for a long time when I can finish your sentences before you say it
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
❤❤❤
Hi Claire, hope you are well
👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻
😊
