I think my favorite part of this video is that you're not trying to hide how messy crafting can be. Too many creators want to pretend to keep things tidy for the 'aesthetic', which can lead to unrealistic expectations or desires. Craft messy! Worry about the end result looking good, the process doesn't have to be perfect!
I really love the white cat with blue patterns, I don't wear rings so I would have no use for it but the shape and patterns are so delicate ! All these projects are adorable :3 I was sure you would use the "gym guy" to store cotton swabs, but tooth picks work too !
When you made the toothpick holder, I thought to myself that I would use that little guy as a toothpick holder. And that's exactly what you did! Perfect!
I’m a painter by heart but have no space to do that at the moment but creating with clay is a perfect way to get out some creative ideas! , thanks for the video!
You are very welcome! As a painter myself working on a tiny corner of my room for a couple of years I can relate! I’m grateful this can keep you creative! ❤️ thanks!
These are great ideas! I just found your channel and adore it! All these are such a great idea for spare clay, but also for when you wanna work with clay but don’t know what to make! This is so beginner friendly, and I appreciate you sharing your craft with us all!
You can revive dried up air dry clay. If you can break up the ball and submerge it in water, it will start to take in moisture it takes a little while but you can work it back to a useable piece
Paula, you are amazing! I love all of the ideas. The toothpick holder is the cutest thing. 😍 I love the idea of creating a sticker holder. Thank you for the shout out. 🥰💜
adorable, great projects. 🥰 I love them all, can't choose a favourite. 😃❣ I still have my Sticker Collection.... (from the 70's and 80's)... I LOVE stickers! 😃👍
You're welcome. 😊👍🏼awe. 🙃 I want to do a series of Videos called "Stickers and Stories"... but... I keep having technical issues that make it hard to film and edit things. *sigh*.
Hello Paula, I am sitting here and smiling. The little egg also reminded me of the little shop of horror plant, too. Just a thought .. maybe it could have been a small little plant even if it was imperfect. Just a thought. … You are such a talented artist and a delight to watch in video. Thank you for sharing your creativity. 😁 Warm regards, Martina
New subscriber here Paula. This is the first video I’ve ever seen of yours and I loved it. Before subscribing I went back and watched a couple of your older videos and I also loved these, so much that I subscribed immediately. I love watching you paint with your paint markers and all the colours you used. I hav3 a large box of paint markers, not as good quality as yours but will still do what I want well enough and they are double ended like yours. I’m now looking forward to painting quite a few things with them instead of just colouring in a book with them. I get bored quite quickly. My vision is very bad right now so using all my bright colours will give me a chance of seeing what I’ve painted properly, well I hope anyway. TFS your videos and beautiful art work with all of us. You’ve given me tons of inspiration and for that I thank you. I’m not a very good artist at all but I’m hoping the more I do the better I’ll get, like with my other craft projects. I’m from Australia and right now it’s still quite cold where I live so it gives me an interest that I can do inside the house. I can’t do a great deal as I’m disabled with chronic pain 24/7 and keeping busy helps me get through each day. I love trying new things to do and learn, which I think you never stop learning until the day you leave this world. I’m looking forward to watching lots more of your older videos and can’t wait for your new videos to come out. Sorry for such a long comment. Hope you’re having a great weekend/week whatever day it is where you are.
Hi Pamela!!! Welcome! I’m so grateful to have you here! ❤️❤️❤️ thank you for taking the time to write this comment ☺️ I’m super grateful my content has served you so much and you are now going to enjoy your markers a bit more! Much love from ecuador ❤️
I love all these ideas. I still have clay from an art craft kit and these would be fun ideas to use the clay up. I love the rainbow with cloud and you're sweet to send it to your subscriber. I'm sure Karen will love the gift. For the egg could try using the kinder egg. Wrap plastic wrap over a plastic egg and molding around. Then remove once dried and sand. You can then dremel the holes for the magnets to keep the halves. together
You're videos are truly one of a kind. You're humor is so lovely. You're straight forward and honest about the process. You're transparent about how your expectations change and also the times when you just outright hate something you create. As well as when a project fails entirely. Which is something that can be a big blow for anyone, but seeing you also remember to give yourself grace is so wonderful. Best of all, your videos remind us to have FUN while we create, and that things don't have to be perfect to be ablento enjoy them. ❤
I've watched this video a couple of times since you posted it. I absolutely adore these whimsical goodies you made, and am totally getting some clay to copy some of them. You are SO creative, I ❤❤❤ this channel! Thank you!
Thank you so much! It makes me really happy to know you like the whole channel! I hope you have your clay already! This little things are super satisfying to make!!
What a fun video! Great ideas! I hope you didn't really throw out the 'failed' egg. When you held the 2 parts together, to me, it looked like you could make it into a dinosaur head (or some kind of critter). The 2 pieces could be the top and bottom, and you could paint teeth along the edges of both. Might need to add some molding paste between the 2 pieces towards the back so the head doesn't fall off! Anyway, just an idea in case you saved those pieces!
Oh no ! I totally threw them away! Like instantly because I had on of my failure induced artistic tantrums hahaha so bad But thank you I love the idea! It’s actually much more rational than what I did!
I want to make a paint brush rest this weekend and love your ideas. I’ve also been using some of your sketchbook ideas, me and my little girl will sit and do them when watching your videos. Love your content Paula ❤
Hi Ellenore! I hope you got to make your brush rest! Thank you so much for sharing with me that you two create together! What a beautiful memory! ❤️❤️❤️
Merci beaucoup ! Je suis très content que mes créations vous plaisent ! merci d'avoir regardé mes vidéos! E pardon pour mon français! Je connais seulement un petit peu de ton belle langue ❤️
All of these ideas are so fun! I need to work on some clay creations again and try some of these ideas. I really loved yolkie lol maybe one day he’ll find a new home lol
By farrr the best group of cuties you have done in clay so far (that I’ve seen)! My favorite is the hilarious toothpick holder! I actually laughed out loud while eating. The toothpicks just made it even funnier. ALL really really good! 👍🏼 You’ve gotten better and better each time with the clay. 👏🏽
Yay thank you! I also think I’m improving but I haven’t donde something big in a while 🫣 I’m so happy you liked this bunch! They are definitely some of my favorites too!
Yay! Friday and Creative Paula! Another super cute video with more great ideas. I can't pick a favorite because I love them all and I love tiny things. Thank you again for sharing, but I have question...did you have any leftover clay and what will you make 😂😂 just kidding 😊. XOKO ❣❣❣
I would just soak the old clay in water and use it as slip if it's not usable for sculpting after water. These are cute ideas too. It's a shame that you experienced so much cracking. Luckily I don't really have that issue that a lot of people deal with. I think it depends on your climate and if it's not evenly damp that can cause this. I'd add more clay to that egg one that didn't work so it's not a complete waste. 😊
Wow thank you for all the tips!!! It was super dry the week I made these, literally my face was cracking too! But it’s really helpful to know that the climate can influence the end result Thanks again! ☺️
@bycreativepaula hehe aww bless you lovely! 🥰 No problem you're definitely welcome and thank you for your appreciation too, it was enjoyable to watch and see new things, I'd love to see more. I believe also adding a little PVA glue (can add water to it to get the right consistency sometimes if you prefer) to the clay when working with and it might also help with the cracking. And even if you do get cracks after it's dry you can go in with some slip/really thin wet clay and add in the crack until it fills it in well. Then you can smooth out any imperfections after with sanding. If you're ever stuck again I'm happy to help! X ☺️
You’re creating such darling, kawaii figures….. and then the egg dried and turned out curiously similar to Audrey II, the killer (and incredibly vivacious) blood-thirsty plant in Little Shop of Horrors. 😋
OMG. I paused the video as soon as I saw the egg, sent my comment, went back and pressed play- and you were already a step ahead of me and I feel like a dingbat… hahaha.

what if you let the egg halves dry connected using the magnets and a super thin layer of clay around the seam to help keep it closed and then just score over the seam to break the seal or gently sand it once dry.
Are 10 ideas enough? Or do you want to see more? Haha maybe with a little more clay?

Too many creators want to pretend to keep things tidy for the 'aesthetic', which can lead to unrealistic expectations or desires. Craft messy! Oh yes!!!!🙌🏻 my thoughts exactly! Thank you! ☺️
Paula Im not lying, I had dreams of working with clay last night and then you posted this! Might have to get my hands on some clay and start creating!

The tiny little ones are adorable.
When you made the toothpick holder, I thought to myself that I would use that little guy as a toothpick holder. And that's exactly what you did! Perfect!

You are right! Maybe I should have tried to make it in to the plant!! But I had an artistic tantrum and threw the eggs away 🫣

🎉hi new sub from the uk 🎉
Hi!!! Thank you so much for subbing! Happy to have you here ❤️ welcome!!!
Hi Paula, what do you use to varnish your pieces? Thanks
Hi! I use a Montana Paints spray varnish, it’s for canvas but honestly I’ve used it on everything…
what if you let the egg halves dry connected using the magnets and a super thin layer of clay around the seam to help keep it closed and then just score over the seam to break the seal or gently sand it once dry.
Oh that’s a great idea! There’s so much I need to try next time
I used to make things using polymer clay so it had to be cooked in the oven. Air dry clay was too risky! 😂
What was the clay you used. This looks like so much fun
I used regular air dry clay ☺️
What did you use to varnish these cuties?!
I used spray varnish ☺️
What brand are you using? I would like to try this.
Das clay ☺️
I'm sorry but I'm gonna steal your Idea n.2, it's so beautiful but I'm gonna draw it in my sketchbook because I'm not good at clay at all 😅
