All ingredients (baking soda, starch and water) are mixed in equal proportions. You can use any pan. Evaporate the water should be on medium heat, stirring continuously. It took me about 6 minutes. After the mass should be slightly kneaded on a dry surface and dry hands. Allow to cool. After about 30 minutes you can put it to work. The mass is suitable for wall panels and similar ideas. This mass is not strong. Thin elements can easily be broken with your hands. Also the mass should not be wet with water. It can be colored with any paints.
This is great! One tip: If you make a figurine that is a bit thicker, don't try to make it dry faster with the hair dryer like I did. It will crack open. It needs to dry slowly. You can fill the cracks with more of this "clay" once the rest is mostly dry and then sand the dried pieces to give it a nice and smooth surface, but of course, this took longer than just waiting patiently. I made little painted and clear-coated cats as Christmas ornaments. They came out super nice even after I messed them up with the hair dryer. I love that when you sand this stuff, you are not producing microplastic because it's just soda and starch.
Loved this video. Brought back such memories making it 40 plus year ago with my grandmother. We use to color it with food coloring. I still have snowflakes I made with cookie cutters and a bunch of other shapes too. The skies the limit creating.
WOW! What a wonderful video!! Easily available ingredients, easy to make, gorgeous (but simple) design, & excellent results!! Thank you for sharing!! I need to share this, too!
Thank you so much for sharing this. I live in West Africa and have been looking for modeling clay forever. Eventhough you said it's not strong it will suit my needs perfectly. Thank you. 🥰😍💜💙💕💓
@@anne7121 No salt dough is not shiny enough. I make jewelry and badges holders using medicine caps. When I was in the states I used UV resin to hold the caps together. But left in a hurry because of medical issues. Haven't found resin here yet. So need alternatives.
It's a good modelling clay I have used it before to make Christmas decorations as Christmas gifts. It dries out quickly though so keep it covered while using. I found my hands went nice and smooth with the skin as I used as well as an added bonus. The recipe I had said to leave it for 24hrs before painting to dry fully. I did find that it dried out my paint quickly as well and was greedy for it. I found using a sealant as an undercoat stopped that happening too quickly.
Beautiful. Great photography, great editing, just simply a great video, not bad artistic skills either. WOW, nice. Thank you. We’re from the “Show Me State”, Missouri
Lindo trabajo gracias por compartir. Si a esa pasta que has creado le aplicas color ya no tendrías que pintarla, es decir masa de distintos colores mientras amasas vas agregando pigmento, o unas gotas de alguna pintura y listo. ❤❤❤ saludos

🤣🤣🤣 without the starch it would maybe
Without the starch, yes. I use much more water and just let it simmer. Eventually, the very burnt on stuff will float to the surface :)
