📔 I've just subscribed after watching the most encouraging video yet. At 65 I've just discovered watercolours and I'm trying to find my style. I'm drawn to anything abstract, but it doesn't always work for me. Seeing you difficulty with the flowers has encouraged me to keep trying. Thank you so much for giving me that lift. ❤

Ok I get it, the point is for when we might be feeling stuck, afraid to push forward on a new page. Ok. But every time I hear the phrase "ways to fill your sketchbook" it triggers me. The point is never to fill your sketchbook; the point is to USE your sketchbook. Once you fill it you have to go find a new one and start a new sketchbook. Having an UNFILLED, half-filled sketchbook at the ready is a very good feeling.

Maybe i say something weird but the jenga pieces look like little presents now it makes the set so fun also.

More ideas! The strips that isn’t your favorite isn’t my favorite, but I still like it. I think maybe changing up the color would help?? I really enjoyed this video- it made me want to go play in my sketchbooks! I make my watercolor sketch books and I made one that was very rectangular-3 1/2” x 8”. For some reason, I also decided that they would be double spreads. And then I decided to go through and tint each spread with a watercolor wash. Each decision was out of the ordinary for me. I only have a couple pages left in it but it has been lots of fun. No need to reply👍😀

Paula you are an inspiration for me. Our channel is dying and it is because we have nothing unique. We are trying to learn to draw to make the pictures better for our sleep videos and others. Is it okay for us to use some of your techniques for our videos. They never come out like yours no matter how hard we try. plus we only like colored pencil.📓

Love this! I used to go art in school. I was A in art and A in maths but forced to choose because people didn't do both and maths would get me further. I've tried to get back to art but haven't really found any rhythm so I'm looking forward to trying this and see if it can get me going again. Thank you 🙏🏻

I feel so relieved that I am not the only one that goes through "artistic tantrums!" I have come across so many times when I sketch and paint something out with the best of intentions in my mind and then I get the pen/brush to paper and it just blows up! Thank you for your advice and really the best advice is exactly what you said - just keep trying and moving forward. Don't give up on the creativity! ❤

It's amazing how good your ideas are in your sketchbook and then what happens when you turn them into wall art! I can't imagine anything I'd ever do that would translate into gorgeous wall art. You are SO inspiring, even when you hate something. I appreciate how you take what you perceive as a mistake and figure out how to get through it. Not many artists would be so transparent. Love you!

📓 You're the reason why I bought a sketchbook and watercolors again and already filled it half way in two weeks. But also, that brought me to a video idea, because the colors are very cheap and I wonder if you can tell as an artist what the differences are. Maybe you could try cheap art supplies and show what you can do even though the material isn't the best. Thank you so much for your inspiring videos!! ❤

If you could only have THREE art materials to use in your sketchbook, what would they be? (For example: If you say watercolor each color counts as ONE of the things)

I loved all yo8ideas with the paint markers! Also, the Posca markers will pop out excess paint, especially when you first start using them. I've learned to avoid this by just lightly tapping the marker tip down on a surface a few times to get it flowing. 😊
