@@12venni but that’s like litterally something millions of people do every day in finland. the person that died probably had some sort of health problems, if it was really that dangerous you’d be hearing it on the news every day that people died from it
Pro tip: Don't *start* with a cold shower. Start with a regular shower, then at the end you slowly turn the temp down until you get to cold. Much easier to handle that way 😊
@@placeholderdoe wouldn't recommend that - hot showers are very easy to get used to and turning the temp down will make it feel wayyy colder. a regular shower should be where it hits ur skin and feels slightly warm, but is coldish by ur feet.
That's what I do. I start hot, and by the end of the shower, it's as cold as I can stand it. I got to the point where I can't stand having the water really hot when I start anymore, and have to have it lukewarm almost immediately.
Some of the stuff in the routine are actually good for your mental health, like meditation and journaling. The issue is the lie that this is what makes billionaires rich. Kurtis put it eloquently: this isn't a routine for people who want to become billionaires, this is a routine for people who are already billionaires.
Exactly, if it was marketed differently and delivered a little bit less pretentiously, I think it would be a perfectly fine list of thing to try to do if you have the time.
@Quark Im glad that somebody said it fr, im friends with people who are religious but they know if they talk to me about it im going to have my own opinions. In my opinion religion was created to have power over people. Those who think alike are easy to control, makes sense when you see how hard christianity pushes to "recruit" people ive literally heard PRIESTS call people of the congregation "clients" its a money and power grab that all religion is. Spirituality without a "god" at least has scientific founding with energy and everything.
so the three top to-do list thing IS actually super helpful- especially for someone with depression. it makes you prioritize better what absolutely needs to be done and helps you from freezing by seeing a huge list of things to do. whenever I do a top 3 list I always end up getting more things done and feeling more accomplished.
It is, but 3 work and 3 personal high impact tasks for a day is way too much, *especially* with depression, that should be for a week so you don't burn yourself out and then give up when you fall behind
This morning routine is close to impossible for anyone who’s actually working hard and doesn’t have four hours to mediate, journal, read, and consume a variety of drinks
Right?? Like sorry, I have actual stuff to do, like clean my house, go to my JOB and take my kids to school. I don’t have a maids and workers to do it all for me…
Test moving for 2 minutes in the morning, and drinking a glass of water. Yeah that’s just called getting ready for work. Meditation and Journaling are good. But just do it after work! Only people writing down dreams are usually artists, to use it for concepts.
Right? I probably have about 20 minutes in the morning (because I value sleep above all else) and basically all I have time for is to pee and feed my cats. I make my breakfast at work and even take my vitamins there too 😂
Yeah definitely. One of my teachers was like this and I literally didn’t know how he had time to work out, meditate, journal, and bike to school BEFORE working. And then was on the school board. And then was the best teacher I ever had. And then spent time with his kids and wife.

I took a lot of antibiotics as a baby/little kid because I got a ton of infections, and it stained my permanent teeth yellow before I'd even lost my baby teeth. It's amazing how productive someone can sound when they leave out all the employees they have to take care of mundane tasks. I believe this guy can make his own bed and brew his own tea, it's pretty simple and probably makes him feel self sufficient. But like, who's cooking dinner or buying groceries? Who's doing the laundry? Who's cleaning the bathroom? And if there are any kids, who's getting them ready for school and helping them with their homework? Probably not this dude.

I want what billionaires have, and by what they have, I mean have enough money to live a life that gives me enough time to do the sort of shit I was taught how to do by my therapist. Mental health suddenly feels like a rich person's privilege
"Mental health suddenly feels like a rich person's privilege" feel like we've all kinda known this but seeing it actually typed out made something click in my head.
Billionaires: "Just work harder" The Working Class they've stepped on to get higher: *literally working harder than any of them have in their entire lives*
Billionaires gave workers work, money, etc Workers still can run any business legally, but they choose to work on corp And so after that you are shitting billionaires for "stepping on worker" Nice work, lefty
the “working class” are often lazy and obnoxious i pity rich people because they achieved so much while most of us are just slackers who don’t wanna progress much
Hey! Billionaires work really hard to exploit the the labor power of the working class in order to extract surplus-value and generate profit. It's unproductive, harmful work, sure, but you can be certain they will do everything to maintain and prolong the mode of production in place.
It's been two years and the lines "And while that wet wet journal is up in flames, you make a to feel list, and you leave it blank. Today, you feel nothing" with the boss music inspire me to be my worst every day
I come from a Third World Country where traffic is terrible. The working class would spend an average of 2 hours of commute to go to work, and its even worse coming home... It's crazy to me that billionaires can have a morning routine like that! Where I'm from, people wake up at 4 or 5AM, get ready, do a few chores, then rush to work and pray that you get there on time. I don't have time to make tea from scratch or write in my journal or "breathe" LOL! It's a completely different world for us non-rich people.
I like how kurtis didn't google "brain smoothie" recipes to make something that didn't taste like ass and just subjected himself to an approximation of a vague description in a video
Also tbf I've never in my life called them brain smoothie's but if you do it right healthy smoothies can taste fuckin awesome, I love me an avocado banana smoothie and no one can stop me from constantly making them
I'm sure a 2 hour routine is great for people who haven't hard to put actual work into doing anything in decades, and needs something mindbogglingly tedious to help stave off the lethargy.
Exactly, first of all billionaires constantly get asked by bullshit websites "WhAt iS YoUr MorNiNg RoUtiNe?!?" so they can write yet another clickbait billionaire morning routine article, so they are constantly having to think up interesting things to say when asked this question, so a lot of it is purely made up. But yes, the biggest problems a billionaire has to contend with are boredom and apathy, so a lot of them really do have crazy morning routines like this to help with the crushing depression of being a billionaire. Movie stars do the same thing, since every challenge and obstacle is removed from their lives, they need to fill it with ridiculous stuff like this to stop themsevles going insane. Only billionaires who have *already made their money* and are living off the profits from their investements live like this, the ones that are still working every day to make even more money just eat breakfast and have a shower like everyone else.
This video actually made me feel a lot better about myself because I struggle to have a consistent routine because of my mental health and a lot of the shit I see on social media makes me feel bad about the routines I have developed. Reminder that social media really is just social media

The compilation of Kurtis stepping into the shower was comedy gold
The intro was everything. Roasting billionaires and their questionable taste is very enjoyable. Very tired of seeing those guys portrayed as role models by buisness journalists lmao. Most of them are straight up musky.
I agree making fun of billionaires but I don’t really agree with body shaming purely Cus of other people who have it for example my sister has the same eye problem as jeffy bezos and she’s pretty self conscious of it so it would effect her to see others be made fun of for it yknow (no hate)
@@indymay5760 I think the difference is that those people are portrayed as the peak of human performance, while having flaws like anyone - but they actually would have the money to fix this stuff yet look like a goon. (not bc of an eye in particular or anything, its more like the whole package with those guys - they are just goofy).
@@indymay5760 Yeah, jokes are fine, but aren’t exclusive to the people being made fun of. They still hurt others who relate to the person being made fun of.
I love how really rich people have to micromanage everything in their day, so it's not so obvious they are not doing anything. They separate some usual tasks for regular people into smaller tasks and make it seem super-duper important. And then stuff some more pointless shit there. My lifestyle is crappy, but at least I'm not pathetic to the point I have to post these "morning routines".
so true, user Yeri’s pink hair strand. it’s laughable to see those people making videos about their glamorous lifestyle but it’s just things like meditation or reading, like that’s just people’s routine, but mostly when they are not burdened by their strict job’/school’ schedules, which literally demand them to wake up at 7 and have little to no time to live healthily like that.
If you’re rich and famous you can get the best chefs trainers assistants doctors etc. If their honest that it’s unattainable without infinite resources
The problem with body shaming isn't that the person you direct it at doesn't deserve it, it's that you're insulting a whole bunch of people who look like them in the way you're insulting will feel bad without having earned it. They just have a big eye or grey teeth.
Not gonna lie, a lot of this advice is exactly what I needed to hear to improve my life. Not to become wealthy or a billionaire, but just to improve my quality of life. But the fact that these people give you these tips with the promise of wealth and success just by doing them is just a scam
I saw someone else in here make a really good point. It went something like " These types of billionaires do a good job at convincing people that doing the bare minimum in self care will make you achieve their lifestyle" and I completely agree with it. It really put the feeling they give me into perfect words
Most of these things are a part of solid routine, which is very benefitial for your health, but as you say, no way it's gonna make you billionare. And also most of the time they try to sell you shit while describing the routine. It's to seem like a "regular person" - the consumer and convince you, that you will benefit from said thing in your life.
This is a bit random, but I want to point out that the “three things I want to do” checklist is actually a really great move. In therapy I work a lot on setting very attainable goals, and making a checklist with a bunch of stuff on it is a lot more likely to be overwhelming, and not actually get done. There’s no shame in bite-size tasks.
tbh i think the “to feel” list can be a good idea!! like a lot of people i know are ashamed to feel certain feelings (like sadness or anything else) so i think it could be beneficial
massive agree, i got advised to make to-do lists for the same reason, i hope therapy is going well for you too! also i kinda like the idea of a to feel list even if it's a bit cringe lol, i find it hard to feel any emotion sometimes so aiming to do things to make myself happy might acc be a good idea? i'll try it and let y'all know if i get super duper rich 😎 note: "human beings not human doings" made me feel the emotion of rage >:(
Most of this coach bs is actually really helpful. You might make fun of them but I personally know a former procrastinator who started to get into this self help bs and his life really changed for the better, so that's when I kinda stopped laughing at this stuff. Is it ridiculous to necessarily take cold showers to start your day? Kinda, but if you're incapable of following such a basic task, you most likely won't be able to learn important skills, take care of your body and so on. These self help coaches are clearly not scientific but they don't need to. As long as they get the placebo effect going, that's all you need. Even those who preach that quantum physics is about positive thinking. It's totally bs, but if you set your mind to buy that shit, it's a perfectly fine way to cope with life and make the best of it. Will you become a billionaire? Nah. My friend didn't, but he stopped eating like a fat man and managed to get a good job in data analysis because of his self control and ability to be consistent with his studies.
i feel like a lot this is a good example of a lot of the things on this list being good advice they just executed it horribly bc they're you know... billionaires.

As somebody who interprets dreams as a hobby, I can actually help with that. It sounds like you’re stressed about sleeping in hotels rather than your own bed, with your girlfriend, in your home. Peeing in dreams can mean a lot of things (usually one of them is that you’ve pissed the bed for real) and the hotel is likely because you go on tours and do comedy shows. That was likely a dream indicating that you needed to take a break from live shows and spend more time at home!
I once had a dream i was in a supermarket and i needed to pee then i met sis vs bro then i was in time square then i didnt have shoes then my mum gave me slippers but she was mad then i woke up thinking i rlly met sis vs bro(it was 2017) then i pees in the toilet
"We're not human doings, we're human beings." Bruh you're a billionaire. You force employees to work insane hours and extract every bit of wealth you can out of them. How are you going to preach about feelings and being present in your life? You have the luxury of free time!
I’m 99% sure that the people who made the video are not billionaires and have no business telling people how to become billionaires. The narrator of that video is some guy named Jim Kwik who definitely doesn’t seem to be a billionaire from what I can tell.
Just don’t work there… get a job that accommodates your hours and a job you enjoy, nobody is forcing you to work at Amazon where they’re 9$ above the minimum wage as a storage worker or 4$ above the average job for 1st time jobs?
You know...it actually makes perfect sense that a billionaire's typical response to the working class on how to get to their impossibly high monetary level is "just keep working".
my immigrant mother with 4 kids and 3 jobs with different employers "kept working"... now she's 72 with severe arthritis collecting 900 bucks a month social security as her only form of income . Gotta love the American Dream
It’s the perfect trick, tell people to just work harder and smarter, let a few rise through the ranks, and keep the illusion the system is working and fair in any sense. this just really shows how little billionaires "work" for their money.. they truly just fucking sit around all day not working or doing anything while they steal all their money from actual workers
I agree the to-do list thing is only for if you're already rich, but for the exact opposite reason. If you're working a retail job for 8+ hours, just crossing three things off of a to-do list (like writing a chapter of your book or exercising or something) is so hard because you're so exhausted from the day, whereas billionaires don't have to worry about being drained from a day job.
@@elijahharmel8450 What he said was when you're working at a place like McDonald's you're doing way more than three things a day so you'd be crossing more off a to-do list.
I don't necessarily think it's that difficult. You're setting a goal too high if your using "Write a chapter of your book" as an example. People would typically do "Write something for the book". Many times, these goals are just 10-15 minutes from your day. There's plenty of times I'm just watching RUclips/playing video games after work that could be used more effectively. Things like "Do the dishes", "Take out the trash", or hobby-oriented goals like "Work on a sewing project for 15 minutes". The big thing is that goals can always be broken down to something more manageable.
Your right they, the rich, have all the leisure time in the world. When a worker wants time off to relax, especially in the USA, they are called lazy, slackers, or worse fired from their job. The problem has always been a rich few having all the time and money in the world while the 99% are wage slaves that are forced to work ourselves to death.

Minus the cold shower, dumbass smoothie, breathing, and “brain training,” this actually seems like a solid start to a day off. Giving yourself some time to relax and set yourself up for the day is a good idea, assuming you have the time to do that.
The thing about these productivity stuff is that you can only do it if you have time, which billionaires do cause they hire people to do other jobs for them (cleaning after them etc)
That's the thing. Us working class got no time for all that. I wake up at 6, shower, eat breakfast, shit, do some simple makeup and it's already time for me to go to work. Time is a luxury only the rich can afford
the smoothie seemed fine honestly, you just gotta add something else to it as well and don't put too much avocado and spinach. and yeah, obviously the fact this routine takes like 2 hours...
@@KP0p1437 to you as well as Space Chicken Nugget, yeah I agree. something I find interesting is that a lot of these habits have been borrowed(?) from buddhism/other eastern practices, and their original intentions are more along the lines of" being well so you're able to help your community" and helping you live a more whole, balanced life. and then these guys come along and turn them into some way to win at capitalism. what's supposed to allow you to be of service to others and live a full life is being contorted to help people's greed. there's nothing inherently bad about wanting to wake up early, meditate, journal, read, etc, because those practices can be very helpful in maintaining peace of mind, but the intention of using them to increase your own capital beyond what's necessary, is really really sad.
It's funny you say that, because I was thinking something similar. My therapist dips into many Eastern practices when it comes to mental health, it's a great jumping block if you don't know how to mentally take care of yourself. So to see these stupid billionaires parade it around like it's the key to their ridiculous wealth is incredibly upsetting.
the most baffling thing about this routine is that yeah they're all nice sentiment, but also no one with a 9-5 job who's actively in the working class has the time to do any of it. as Kurtis said, this just proves billionaires have time to goof off in the morning. also, it was kinda funny to see Kurtis expose his caffeine addiction to us with the tea thing, lol.

The thing about morning routines is that they should be what *you* need, and ideally would be built up and perfected over time. Trying to copy someone else's to a T will always lead to failure
These actually sounded like good ideas as I do watch channel like Jordan green and Cole hastings.the title of the original video probably could of been better and some of these channels do believe you have to follow what they say of your doing it wrong.as someone with autism and ADHD I felt like at one point I had to follow all of it like taking a cold shower but then realized everyone learns to do things different might as well not compare it's like apple and oranges. Sorry for the long rant btw I love your pfp
My morning routine consists of rolling out of bed, showering while half-asleep, rushing to class an hour early because if I’m not an hour early I’ll be two hours late, killing time by drinking my morning coffee and eating Franzbrötchen at the university café, and finally going to class to catch up on the sleep I did not get the night before. So yeah. I do stuff. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?
The "To Feel" list feels like it might be useful for somebody with anxiety or depression who needs to try to feel more... positive feelings. Thinking about trying it to try and get out of this depression and anxiety how I've been living in for a month.
When I was depressed, I would put “eat lunch,” “go to class,” and “drink 2 glasses of water” on my daily list, because when I crossed them off it helped me not judge myself for not utilizing every second of my day to better myself. That pressure was too much and I would ignore basic needs, so the “easy” list helped.
I feel this. When you struggle to even get up and do anything throughout the day, sometimes you need to even make getting up an accomplishment. Honestly the 'giving yourself 3 tasks to do' thing is actually something I agree with; it's just that those three things are the launching point of the day, and not all you have to do. Also journaling about that is just a little excessive for me, I just think of the three things I wanna do the next day before bed, it's only 3 things, why waste time writing them out. My issue is that my sense of time is terribly warped on how long certain tasks should take, so I put a lot of things off cause I don't 'think' I have time for them.
I honestly put “brush teeth” on my to do lists and I’m not ashamed of it. It’s easy for me to forget until like, halfway through the day and then I’m already working and can’t just stop to go brush my teeth
This. There are some (really justified) parody videos of how holier-than-you pretentious these kind of videos are - and STILL the real videos are more implausible than the real deals.
I used to work in a juice/smoothies bar and every day someone would come with an atrocious smoothie recipe like the one in the video. It would taste horrible but they were always searching for something "detox" (No juice is going to detoxify anything. You already have a whole organ inside your body doing that).
The detox fads are SO annoying 😭 Had an argument with someone that you can't detox your armpits. It's not a real medical thing just because you want to use natural deodorant. Some stuff just doesn't work for every body.
"She kept saying 'Kurtis, what are you doing, you woke me up' which is weird because she doesnt usually talk in her sleep." Absolute grade A comedy gold, ma boy.
Some people actually don’t brush their teeth. My dad only gets his teeth brushed at dentist appointments and uses flossing as a substitute for actually brushing…
This was hilarious. Reminds me not to take myself or life too seriously. But these are super helpful tips to some degree. It’s not about getting rich but living a good life.
I'm a vivid dreamer so I love hearing the weird/cool/crazy shit other people do in their dreams. Kurtis's dreams are short and simple but still great lol
I once had a dream where I was an orphan in this hella beautiful mansion like orphanage and it was winter time (there’s no snow in my country even), I was wearing a winter outfit with different light blue shades which is also the orphanage’s colors. I followed the orphan caretaker(?) one day and she was a blonde middle aged woman then she suddenly looked back at me then she chased me then I woke up in the DREAM crying cuz no one wants to adopt/love me. Then I woke up irl this time, I kinda wanna go back there cuz it was pretty af and I felt snow even though it’s just in my imagination (I didn’t know what snow felt like at the time cuz im in the Philippines but it was pretty accurate now that I felt it a week ago)
I’m case anyone needs the list: - wake up and pour red wine on your sheets - eat a sleeve of saltines - beta breathing - thomas the tank engine theme song at full blast on the tv - think about every mistake - blazing hot fire with your journal - leave your to feel list blank - make a Mountain Dew and cosmic brownie smoothie - guzzle it - play tony hawks pro skater two until you pass out from exhaustion or a heart attack ❤️You’re welcome❤️

Some of the stuff in the routine are actually good for your mental health, like meditation and journaling. The issue is the lie that this is what makes billionaires rich. so the three top to-do list thing IS actually super helpful- especially for someone with depression. it makes you prioritize better what absolutely needs to be done and helps you from freezing by seeing a huge list of things to do. whenever I do a top 3 list I always end up getting more things done and feeling more accomplished.
ESPECIALLY for people like me okay
It is, but 3 work and 3 personal high impact tasks for a day is way too much, *especially* with depression, that should be for a week so you don't burn yourself out and then give up when you fall behind

I literally read the comments for like 20 minutes looking for someone who has interpreted this dream for him! 🤣 Thanks for this.

my immigrant mother with 4 kids and 3 jobs with different employers "kept working"... now she's 72 with severe arthritis collecting 900 bucks a month social security as her only form of income . Gotta love the American Dream
It’s the perfect trick, tell people to just work harder and smarter, let a few rise through the ranks, and keep the illusion the system is working and fair in any sense. I agree the to-do list thing is only for if you're already rich, but for the exact opposite reason. If you're working a retail job for 8+ hours, just crossing three things off of a to-do list (like writing a chapter of your book or exercising or something) is so hard because you're so exhausted from the day, whereas billionaires don't have to worry about being drained from a day job.

that's.....what he said
@@elijahharmel8450 What he said was when you're working at a place like McDonald's you're doing way more than three things a day so you'd be crossing more off a to-do list.

Time is a luxury only the rich can afford

something I find interesting is that a lot of these habits have been borrowed(?) from buddhism/other eastern practices, and their original intentions are more along the lines of" being well so you're able to help your community" and helping you live a more whole, balanced life. and then these guys come along and turn them into some way to win at capitalism. what's supposed to allow you to be of service to others and live a full life is being contorted to help people's greed. there's nothing inherently bad about wanting to wake up early, meditate, journal, read, etc, because those practices can be very helpful in maintaining peace of mind, but the intention of using them to increase your own capital beyond what's necessary, is really really sad.

For real. I have to put "have breakfast" on my list because I will forget to eat.

The detox fads are SO annoying 😭 Had an argument with someone that you can't detox your armpits. It's not a real medical thing just because you want to use natural deodorant. Some stuff just doesn't work for every body.
