those pro x tires are those prox tires are the ones i have ordered for my capra kit!!! i though they would look awesome on my jku wrangler, so im also getting them for my capra rock crawler rc! love the videos!
The Baja Pro-X is an excellent trail tire, not sure about on the rocks. If it's wet out they can become dirt packed and they're not great at self cleaning. Right now I've got Pro-Line 2 stage foams all around, but I may go with a single stage in the rear.
On my Capra im doing dual stage in the back and stock foams in front in my pro-line Mickey baja X. I have just cheap Amazon brass hubs up front and (4WS) knuckles in the rear
awesome video. maybe try n work a lil heat in tires on the ramp. i think some will do better. i love my baja pro x tires so far with 3brc antifoams single stages
Man thats alot of tires, round one was good, round too proved interesting too, I've had dual stage foams in just about everything lately. But if I was buying today I sure like the km3
Any reason you’re still not using the same wheels and inserts for all the tires so it’s s more apples to apples comparison? Wheel weight and offset will play as big of a role as insert and how it impacts how the tire performs.
Great test, would be awesome to see a side hill test. The 1.0 pro x have amazing forward traction but seriously lack in side hill ability from what i see, worse than boggers even, and appear to be losing forward traction as they get worn.
I've had the pro x tires for a while now and can honestly say that I agree with you completely. I've also found them to be extremely foam sensitive when swapping to a lighter truck. Way more so than any voodoo tire I've owned.
@@hindsightrc4518i can say with confidence they like to dig dirt up and make holes with a stock trx4😂 they also hate water that ruins the grip i may trybetter foams but i doubt ill see better performance wet. snow though if your slow enough they have a wide enough surface area they dont sink but the flooring it they rip through any amount like it doesnt exist
I thought about that all I have stock are trx4, gen8 and rebelcon tires, I gave away all the others as far as I can tell, gave them away to 11charlie rc.
Are the Pro-Line Baja Pros the same as the RC4WD ones? They look identical.. appear to be available in G8 or Predator. I got the G8's... wonder if I should have gotten the Predators, but these are for my Ryft not my Capra. I have Hyrax coming for it.
Ive noticed wheel speed has to do alot with traction. With HW FOC motor turning so slow. The tire has time to conform to surface and get better traction.
You know that you can take a sock and put it over the microphone and stop all that wind noise. A regular sock out of your sock drawer. We all have one that the dryer lost the other one.....LOL
yeah, though not each tire is optimized for the same kind of foam though meaning you'd have to test each tire with each foam and then make a decision as to whether you go with max performance of each tire or average, personally after seeing how good Exo is at finding the perfect match for each tire I'd say it's more accurate to how they'll perform IRL since basically every tire would make it to the top if you just slapped the softest foams you had in them so the fact he's gone and picked the foam combo that you'd actually end up using in a comp is arguably better than just using the same foam for each tire since some tires have better sidewalls than others whilst some have better tread patterns (in the case of the Baja pro X you've got a supportive sidewall paired with tall squishy lugs which basically acts as an extra foam stage with tuning rings meaning that the foam tuning you'd use with those are gonna be different to what you'd use in the KLR).
The Baja pro x are ok at best, they are not even close to any of the j concepts or proline tires. My buddy bought the Baja pro x and I got the j concept tusks. Tusks destroyed the Baja pro Xs on all terrain it wasn’t even close. Maybe they work good on the concrete ramp but that’s it.
the baja pros are on to skinny of a rim if they were on a wider rim they would have gone to the top . time to run the black mambas on a wider rim . tires need to be given a chance to run with the same foam or test is a fail from the rip . then they tires shouid have to same prep ie clean they and give a eqaul sanding to expose clean rubber on all tires .
Youre putting something in those bajas for weight!!! The rims are 85 grams, the tire 75 grams, that CI foam 15g, but yet the tire weight you weigh them collectively at is 2 lbs. That's over 2 ounces each tire, half pound for the truck. If you're gonna do a review, be honest, not bias and don't try to trick your audience.
If the deep woods actually had an even chance and some decent weighted rims like the rest it would be more fair
Love the shootout. This will weigh in on my next tire choices.
Thanks for the time
Me too.

I really hope the next round of tests you might hose down that ramp and see if the results change. It's interesting to see how each does on that ramp

These videos are super fun to watch and informative! Ty!
I have 2.2 deepwoods on beadlocks and 1.9 foams, theyre amazing, best i could get for cheap in the uk
I am running Deepwoods on my rig, love them!

한국에선 부두 klr타이어에 대해 너무 과대평가 되어졌네요

Good stuff... How about a tire comparison of stock rtr tires.

@@ExocagedRC that was a cool thing to do with the takeoffs.
Woo! Thanks for doing this again!
Wondering how much the weight comes into play. The heaviest combo did the best.
Not sure but it does seem that way.
@@ExocagedRC maybe take the bottom 3 and add weight, then challenge the winner. Would be cool to see the difference it could make.
@@rcilluminati26 I did the math, he's definitely weighting but not telling his audience
Now we need the landmines, rock beast and boomracing hustlers lol
All that work and driving, you might need to "retire" 🤣 great video and great info for us
Great video and thank you for showcasing thise tires so well. Subscribed!
These even
I really wanna see you test a set of the new klr trail spec with the anti-foams
I'm not a fan of the deep woods for rocks, but for trailing I think they are good.
They're righteous for rocks when you use Deuces Wild foams.
"Try to shield it with my gut..." LOL. The struggle is real... ;)
😂😂
Hey exo. Go double check them duratrax wheels. Mine were actually bead locks
These are awesome I need a round 3
I love videos like these keep em coming
how about hyrax proline tire, louise cr rowdy, boomracing mtx and voodoo klrm
I’d love to see some super swampers some day.
HI It will be fun if you can measure concrete temperature, and the humidity .
Amazing vid man
You need some Boom Racing Aggressor 1.9s. They are badass!

My favorite are the km3 and klr!
Surprised me nice job 👍
So the heavier and stickier compound are better for traction
You need to run the same foams at least
And the same wheels or at least they should weigh the same. I'll take my Deepwoods anytime when it comes to mixed going
This guy....
Right, I did the math on his weights, he is weighting products that are in his ear
Wicked! Weight seems to help? 👊
Ive noticed wheel speed has to do alot with traction. With HW FOC motor turning so slow. The tire has time to conform to surface and get better traction.
Would like to see RC4WD Mudslingers foamed well on this test and see how they do
I wonder if tire sauce from racing tires would help crawlers?, would be a interesting video…
I’ve got no idea on that.
@@ExocagedRC try some next time for some giggles, $13 bottle wouldn’t hurt a try..
Tire sauce? Is that like WD40 trick?
Nah tire sauce is meh for crawler tires. PB Blaster works great on crawler tires though.
@@SnarkyRC I’ve gotta try some pb blaster! Didn’t think about that!
Big like
Very good test❤
Would be interesting to see what would’ve happed if u put a thin set coating over the entire ramp so there were no seems. 🤷🏼

For me deep wood is one of cheap side and the performance was great, I now the more you use the deep wood the better they become
cut the lugs and they get even better
Awesome 👍 video super informative

This test is not accurate if every tire has different foams. Every other variable is a constant except for the foams.

@@didjterminator808 That's not how comparative testing is done. He introduced a million variables, no control, etc.
@@tjv6976 yup, he's terrible
Hugging that corner seems to get you higher than the maneuvers you were doing in round 1
Right. That right side seems to work well. I try to hit it with each tire I run
You should add hyrax into the competition
Is that your backyard? Or a actual public track?
I’m Ocala. I believe your N Florida?

Damn. I will find out soon. I just got mine but I have to test them this weekend.
Deepwoods never had a chance… being a pound lighter it really didn’t play in their favor.

Those are decent tires. I don't run them anymore. I replaced them with Boom Racing Max Grapplers.
Once again why are you comparing tires with different foams and wheels. These videos are pointless
Why not?
@@ExocagedRC Because you're trying to help people make a choice. A specific choice. If you do the job, do it right. You have troubles with that
