I run the Duratrax deepwoods c3 tires with proline dual stage foams and I have found them to be great all around tires, mud, clay, dirt, rock, whatever.
Thanks for the video! I'm a beginner crawler/trailer, coming over from aviation. Bought a RGT86010 CJ, for an economical starter. Stretched it to 313mm, and ran a Wrangler hardbody, the whole time running imitation predators.($20 a set) You absolute are correct, when you said any of those will be an improvement over rtr stockers! Saw your older video on tire comparison, bit the bullet and bought some Predator Hyrax. I could not believe the difference!! It made my crawling experience so much more enjoyable! This video just reinforced the choice. I'm finally convinced, $ for $, it was the single most impactful addition to my truck, performance wise, in rock crawling anyway. Keep up the good advice.
I have tried so many different setups over the last 5 years. I really like my j concepts tusk tires right now(steel SSD wheels, dual stage foams), and the hyrax with dual stage are always good, even had decent luck with the Traxxas canyon trails. But I was amazed at how well the proline km3 worked on the powdery limestone I'm my area

@@RCReviewChannel guarantee u love them better than the hyrax or I’ll by u ur next set if tires😉. Crazy good crawler. More realistic. Great video also buddy. As always, love ur content and keep up the amazing work. ✌️
I have tried Ottsix KLR X4 softest, Ottsix KLR/M softest, Proline Hyrax Predator and Proline Trencher Predator. The Trencher did awesome on the first run with stock foam on my TRX-6 and will be my go to tire from now on. Now they have PL dual stage but haven't tried them yet.
keep in mind the deepwoods basically require a dual stage foam, its performance is a thousand times better with a set of lil nova 4.5's with med in the rear and soft up front, also work very well with the proline xl foams if you have beadlocks with a slot of them
I just switched to the Proline Trencher in Predator compound from the OG KLR Voodoo KLR Red compound. I'm happy with the switch for rock crawling in E.TN. Looking forward to testing mud/dirt capabilities. I'm using Hyrax G8 on my trx6. Thanks for the review!
I just got the hyrax predator compound today. I can already tell it could use some stiffer foam to help with side hilling. Guarantee it'll outperform the rest with stiffer foam.

We recently picked up the Proline Flat irons in the G8 compound and, they are also a really good "all around " tire. We live in central NY, so lots of woods aand creek's to play in. Tire choice is definitely a big deal factor!!
I run hyrax predator and love them I do recommend washing them after every run if you can keep them off the dirt and stay on clean, even wet rock they are incredible.
my TRX4 Sport for class 2 rocks Pitbull Rockbeast XL, scale looking and working great! My C1 MST CFX Unimog has Boomracing Mud Terrain TRophy, incredibly scale looking, fair grip on rocks
Proline krawlers are my favorite. They grip the super slick creek rocks in my area. I wish you would have used a set of the stock trx4 sport tires. They're a damn good tire for an rtr.
The Deep Woods tread can be siped for more traction. You should retest with every other center peg removed. I chose siped Deep Woods over the tall and short Hyrax 1.9. I did thing the Hyrax required more breaking in though but got impatient and sold both. Just like the Traxxas Cantyons can be siped too. The Deep Woods when siped work great on 3.5lb trucks with dual stage foams too. You should revisit this test with the new to 2021 Pitbull and Jconcepts tires too.

Prolines have impressive rubber tackiness and quality control. JConcepts we liked at first but when we put more supportive foam, it didn't perform. Seems like the tire likes to run flat so not much side and climbing support.
The best IMO is the stock tires cutting out every other knobby and soaking them in mineral spirits overnight then air drying. They are grippier than an ant eaters tongue and can grip better than any tire out there

The best IMO is the stock tires cutting out every other knobby and soaking them in mineral spirits overnight then air drying. They are grippier than an ant eaters tongue and can grip better than any tire out there. I guess you can do the same with the Ruptures and hyrax. Too much tread causes tires to plane the surface rather than bite it which is why removing every other knobby helps big time. I use lexan scissors then clean it with a dremel sanding drum. Mineral spirits make the tire permanently super soft and you will need a super stiff inner foam and soft outer to sidehill steep angles.
I feel like this test was done in favor of the trenches and hyraxs. Because my proline km3s in predator compound grip anything and everything. Add any amount of wetness to that corse and they hyraxs and trenches won't even touch the rocks

I need a tire that can carry some weight because my trx4 is pretty heavy or a foam insert that can carry weight. thanks
The km3 are best imo. The hyrax are very bad in sandy conditions as the km3 is good on rocks but awesome on sandy hills and self cleaning! You forgot that. The hyrax will pick up all sand and will be done there. So all terrain the km3 is best out thers

Can I ask where about in Northern California are you? I am in the Sonoma county area.
Super swampers
Hi, I'm looking for tires for my trx-4 and I need a tire that isn't too soft, I usually drive on the sand and thru mud and hard surfaces I don't do much rock crawling with it, what tire do yall think is best out of these 5 or in your opinion? I need a tire that can carry some weight because my trx4 is pretty heavy or a foam insert that can carry weight.
thanks
What about the Jconcepts landmines or ruptures
Jconcepts Scorpios outperform those two tires you mentioned.
The km3 are best imo. The hyrax are very bad in sandy conditions as the km3 is good on rocks but awesome on sandy hills and self cleaning! You forgot that. The hyrax will pick up all sand and will be done there. So all terrain the km3 is best out thers
I'm in totally agreement about how bad are Hyrax in sandy/soil... Excellent tires but definitely not for this conditions
Deepwoods are nice and soft and conform without the grip lol they were my first set of tires I think my stock trx4 cut and siped do better I think
What tire would you recommend for lots of loose dirt but still steep rock climbs? Any suggestions?
The deep woods. And for dirt and loose ground, you can cut some of the profile and it works even better.
Does anyone have recommendations for rim size and tires for trx6? I like to use it on lose dirt/gravel also big slabs of rocks or cement.... I live in Wisconsin so it's not always dry please help I would appreciate it
What about boom racing hustlers
Anyone seen a video with a comparison between the tires that come with the redcat gen8 v2 and the proline hyrax? My understanding is they improved the compound since the v1 so I'd like to know if that narrowed the gap between the stock tire and the best tire
Where do you live in Northern California?
Deep woods is what I’m running on my scx10 ii. They are very soft and are wearing fast. I wouldn’t recommend them. Proline last so much longer. Yes the deep woods are cheap, but u will be paying more in the end. Awesome vid.
No Jconcepts?
looks to me like your above 100 anti squate in the rear bro
what is up with the music I hear no voices after a couple minutes
Where in Northern Ca are you?
You forgot to add the Pit Bull Rock Beast, with Nova inserts....
What tire did you recommend for my trx 6x6 2.2??..
cant hear ya over the music that came in out of nowhere
You should have the flat iron instead of that deep woods meant fo rmud. Too late now LOL
You forgot one of the best tires the proline Krawlers
For sure
Flat iron XL
Will you test the hair bun as foam replacement one day?
Has anybody put km3 on a 6x6?
Which Proline model won the test?g8?predator?
Predator
Predator. It has the most grip. Not the greates for heavy/fast vehicles.
@@RCReviewChannel Thanks for my favorite tire in my capra
