Surprised the hell outta me never been a fan of that tread pattern but seeing is believing, like the color changes on the welcome back sign keeps things interesting. as always thanks.
I'm currently in the process of making a set of cut n shut Fusks to try on my class 3 4ws rig, replacing my baja pro xs. They're cheap enough that i'm not worried about ruining them and good enough that i have high hopes for them. Waiting on another set to arrive so i can make the 2nd pair!
Once you get the insert correct and the lugs cut, I don't think you could beat them for an all around tire. Great on wood, dirt, rock, moss, mud and plastic! @@craigpimlott204
They climb like a wet turd in my experience, the tire lugs are far too deep for rock crawling in all honesty & are designed for mud & not smooth slippery rocks of any kind.
That kinda makes me wish I'd kept the set that came on my Ryft when I got it second hand long enough to try on the rocks. But, what I sold them for paid for my used 2.2 Ruptures so I can't really complain.
The reason there's no ramp is that it doesn't test tires, it tests the ramp. I could make a ramp out of marble and no one gets past 30º. Or I could make a ramp out of 40 grit sandpaper, and the worst tire on Amazon does 60º. I've just never seen a curved ramp as a valuable indicator of crawling performance-- because I built a ramp, and virtually every rig gets to the exact same spot. Testing not the tires, but the ramp.
I have a ser of those on a ser of super g drift 1.9 coa island series rims. Had to make custom inserts for the stretch. Love the look and it performs not bad here on Maui
I found the proline inserts that came with them to be absolutely delightful, watching the sidewalls wrinkle made me smile and the squishy bounce was a lot of fun. Going to the Canyon Custom double buns made it better overall though.
I would say I have to disagree, the gozer body is a body I chose solely for it's self right capability. I think its probably dependent on the rig setup though. My truck has only half the tire width sticking out the body. I can see where a wider width would be really detrimental to the self right.
G8 is honestly probably perfect for you. I think JC green might be a little too soft for your summer temps. S1 would also do well, as would C3... if it still existed.
I have the RC4WD TSL Boggers in 2.2 with the X2 SS compound, and they are huge, 5.7" outer, which is pretty nuts. The only rig I have that they sort of fit on is the 2.2 Wraith, and they work pretty darn well on that. Especially when bashing and racing around on mud and rocks. :)
I think you might need a standardised rig test and scoring next to set the bar for these oversized tyre tests. Maybe perform the regular tyre test with yellow and the sendero on the same wheels and tyres
Love the way you tell the story to all while thinking out loud by yourself 👌🏼 Your knowledge and experience is impressive. Quistuinwhat fluid do you rub on the tire before wheel assembly and why?
That's the Canyon Standard Tire Mounting Fluid, aka 99¢ bubble juice. Some compounds put up a bit of a fight when mounting-- JC green, Vanquish red, etc. Mounting is significantly easier with bubble juice. And when it dries, it's tacky rather than slippery.
To big for a Capra but nice looking tires. Love my Pro-Lines in G8 but JConcepts green liking a little more. Love the channel and the content lots good info. Stay safe and dry my friend
Do you find that the 2.2 canyon trail looks like a monster truck tire on the trx4. Everyone keeps telling me they look like a monster truck tires on my high trail. I find they look like 35" tire, what do you think.
If you want a good bit of entertainment, try the Jconcepts Fling Kings. They are also in the green compound and have no business crawling as well as they do, but please, if you test them, run them in reverse direction. They absolutely crawl better in reverse. The tread spreads out and grabs which it doesn’t do in the forward direction.
I know you have plenty of content to video already, but I think it’s only fair that if you cut canyon trails to make them the best they can be that you also should cut the boggers and run them again on at least two of the obstacles they did worse on. It’s just the way that tire is meant to be, just like the canyon trail really shines when cut.
Three-peat HIM, test the Predator Ibex you have on him :) LOL okay maybe tiny too tall. These could go a little softer insert on this weight of rig if wanted. Good test.
Got em on my trail truck .Rc4wd ones they were complete junk till I cut out every small lug then they are now fantastic tyres .even the full size mud bogging boys cut the small lugs off because they were crap in mud .yep a mud tyre that needed cutting to make them work right in mud .you couldn’t make it up ..
You are going to have to make a rollover ramp, for the self right part of the tests This tire gets in 3rd place, 0.3 points below the Megalithics, moving the Injora Pro Comp to 4th place by 0.8 points
Impossiturtle, the best I've heard all week 😂
Boggers are quite popuylar over here, excellent in soft forests trailing
I love my 1.9 boggers
I have had really good results with the boggers. I don’t like how they look, but they grip well! Also they stretch onto 2.2 rims really nicely.
Surprised the hell outta me never been a fan of that tread pattern but seeing is believing, like the color changes on the welcome back sign keeps things interesting. as always thanks.

With all of the small lugs cut off, it is the best tire for everything! Great show!
Yep even the full size boggers were junk in mud till they cut the small lugs off ..👍

Yes cut them and you have your self a tire that performs like tank tracks in mud and sand, and claws like a tiger on rock
They climb like a wet turd in my experience, the tire lugs are far too deep for rock crawling in all honesty & are designed for mud & not smooth slippery rocks of any kind.
@@DTW-bx2vy stock they suck …cut the small lugs off and they work great on all surfaces .even one to one boggers are junk uncut
Love seeing Yella out and about so much!
That kinda makes me wish I'd kept the set that came on my Ryft when I got it second hand long enough to try on the rocks. But, what I sold them for paid for my used 2.2 Ruptures so I can't really complain.
I’ve used them for years! A great tire that got even better with a 3D Squid- SL3D printed insert!
Thanks!
5.4 Boggers are the only tires that made me say "Holy sh_T!" when testing. I have tested many tires through the years.
Susan in great form!
Yes
Ooh, the hot/crazy chart of tires👍😁👍
The original swamper sxt are excellent tires! They are small like ripsaw size but they are awesome. I dont know if i even see them for sale anymore?
Beastly tires!
Love your channel. But one thing your missing that I personally love is a test ramp for how many degrees you can climb

cool crawler my friend 🤟🚘🤟

I run these on my High Trail K10 and K5. Awesome

Those memory foams would have been REAL unhappy after that test day.
I have always liked the way the boogers look but I have never owned a set
Huh huh, booger

Damn I've been waiting to see how the ecto performs on the favtecs I have some coming in the next day or two
what compound do you suggest for southern AZ summers, and what tire for long tread life driving in sandstone, dirt, and sand. I always enjoy your videos!

Cut the small lugs of and they’ll be even better .
I absolutely love my Bogers! I didn’t always, but if you think they work well out of the bag? Wait till there’s a little mileage on em?! 👌
Inserts are available on etsy

hi- you can use the rubber seal i sent for the rear lexan edges on him to remove the angry lexan noises

Excel spread sheet with tire test results would be awesome!!!!
The hair buns I used were 5.5” jumbo!
I figured for a 5.4” tire it would be perfect….got way more than I bargained for.
They look good but I gave up on proline. Several sets of mine the side walls tear pretty quickly. 😕😕
The rc4 wd ones are tough but hard ish .but cut them small lugs off and they’re great all rounders.👍
@craigpimlott204 I've been running voodoo klr-m on my Capra for about 3 years now, very happy with them. 👍👍
I hope everything is ok at the canyon
🤩
Yeahhh, buddy

I have a spare set of 2.2 beadlocks how do I go about trying to trade you for something?
