I was about about 90% sure on this but wanted to reassure myself and might I add this video is PERFECT for if somebody didn’t know or even did know and needed refreshed! Definitely subscribing!
So I really struggled getting that pvc t fitting onto the new inlet, i ruptured the hose that connects to the new inlet and I failed to install it. Any help?
my lly runs good on the interstate but when I turn the AC on and drive at 2k rpm for about 10 mins on the interstate in 95 degree weather it gets hot enough where the fan will turn on at 210 (the middle of the gauge). Do you think if I install this it will fix my problem? Checked for bad head gasket because upper radiator hose was not stiff the day after driving
I got this LLY just because it was a great deal. All generations have their issues, but personally I'd avoid the LB7s and the later LMM+ with all the emissions. So, LLY or LBZ is about the best run. Most people say the LBZ is the best of the Duramaxs.
Is it normal to have the tinest play when you move the inlet back in forth? Like I’m talking not even half a inch. Just wondering if I need to get a new v band if it’s not getting tight enough. thanks a lot for this video it helped a lot when installing mine!
Because it's not a positive crankcase ventilation without positive pressure from the turbo pulling the pressure out of the crankcase. Venting to the atmosphere doesn't remove enough pressure from the crankcase. The buildup of this crankcase pressure is what causes the majority of engine oil leaks and blown seals.
Wow. Good to know. I was here looking how to plug the pcv hole... Haven't found any plugs specifically for s&b. I'm a long ways from worrying about that though. Got a nice slt that needed an injector and I decided to replace them all. Feckin nightmare. They just won't come out!!!
@@MrSubaru1387 I put one on this weekend. Had difficulty getting it lined up with the pcv hole. The housing hit on the EGR tube before you could get the line to go on it. Line very stiff also. With my housing I went a little extra. I sanded out all the imperfections and casting marks and then buffed to a mirror finish. Every little bit helps right? I can hear my turbo spooling which is something I had to listen for before. Seems like it runs better too.

Thanks for the great video. Perfect installation. I'm off to install one on my 2005 Sierra. Many thanks

Absolutely great tutorial! Thank you!
i install this the other week and i’ve noticed my turbo spools slower, what should I look at

Does it take a o-ring or gasket inbetween flange surface
Very nice how to video. God work b
I want to get this for my project car, are the inlet and outlet 4 inches?
So its just a metal to metal seal ?? Any problems with leakage there

Clean your cooling stack, And do s&b mouthpiece and it will help a lot.
so the silencer doesn' t go back on?
Is there any difference between this and an lbz mouthpiece upgrade
Where did you buy the part at?
I got a question I broke the pcv tube and the pcv t tube where can I find some at
I dropped the 10mm bolt for the pcv tube and my engine ate it . Any chance anyone knows the thread pitch for that bolt
Thanks for all the great content! I have been thinking of getting a used Duramax. What Generation would you suggest?

Shouldn’t have any play at the connection to the turbo. Means there is an air gap. Poor performance plus sucking trash straight into the turbo.
Did S an B send you a Vband clamp or did you use the one off the stock inlet horn?
Reused the factory clamp.
Nice! Too bad I live in Cali And can’t get it shipped here 😒
I live in Cali too. I found one on Facebook Marketplace yesterday for a steal. I’m going to install it today!
I’ll ship you one
@@Jake-ql6ey thanks bud!! One of my buddys from nevada shipped one over for me! 🤙🏼
So why did you NOT do the pcv delete...they seem to go hand in hand.

What turbo is that? Stock?
Yes. Stock turbo, as far as I know. I haven't changed/replaced it in the time I've owned it.
Lly y branch install on 6,6 duramax 2005 GMC 3500.
Nice vídeo, thanks. I have read that after that installation, will need to reprogram the computer. Is that true? Thanks for that great job.
I haven't. Haven't had any issue. No mention of it from S&B.
So do you just eliminate the silencer?
Yes.

Does it help
Yes
Who disliked this video it’s perfect. Thank you!
Benefits?
Cures the LLY overheating issue. Stock mouthpiece chokes the truck out pulling.
