Hello. I wanted to ask if we should sharpen the image before cutting out the object from the background or should we do sharpening after cutting out?
Its like art restoration by hand. But you do it mechanically by tools. Good job !

Help!!! I have two images that I found online that I LOVE and the photoshop/printing places I have called say, if it is low res then I am SOL. I am wanting the images for art on my wall so I need them to be enlarged as much as I can. If you have any advice I would really appreciate it. The images are a little 'different' so I can't find anything like it. Thanks!!

Hey! When i change the resolution for 300, it also changes the height and width...however I want the picture to be 1080 pixels x 1350 pixels with 300 resolution...Is that possible? My picture needs to be 1080 x 1350 because its for instagram feed and the original photo (that was taken with a cannon camera) has a differente size. When i changed the original size to 1080 x 1350, it lost quality and if you zoom the picture you can see the pixels...What should I do?

you can just export your image, and it will remain same..

This option in the preference menu is not a choice in my current PS 2022 version. Also, most of the PS tutorials do not cover what workspace is selected. That choice changes the menu items and locations.

It really was increasing effects of extreme resolution to an already high-resolution image.
No need to duplicate the unsharp mask and blur layer - you converted that to a smart object, so any filter edits you do there can be adjusted. Both filters show up under that layer

I'm puzzled a bit about the brush tool and the high pass step. what does that do to the final image? to me it was imperceptible

The first step was easy to understand, but the next three steps assumed I was a level 30 grand master at photoshop so I got lost

I can do this in Corel Paintshop Pro 2021 (which is lower cost and does not require a subscription) quite easily.
Four steps my tail--everything he clicked on is technically another step in the process.

@3:25 Sir, what should we do with the "unsharpen mask?" You just said to adjust it a little bit. Do we adjust it to make the image clearer or more blurred?
Also, what is the purpose of the high pass filter? Why did you make a mask and apply it to some parts of the image only?
1. I use unsharpen mask to clear and sharp image, 2nd. I use highpass to all over image to make the image more sharpen to clear out blur from the image..

mine worked so well, just open the image on photoshop, enable detail 2.0 if needed, go to image size== change size and put 300 dpi then just hit the details 2.0 and there is a slider that you can define roughness. works pretty
I have increased the size 3000 after that nothing happens really. After Preference and preserved details... 🥲

The image you're showing as before is not that pixelated at the beginning of the video.
If you have seen any of the other videos on RUclips they all have comparisons, all have clickbait and all exaggerate the original. Now be honest you clicked on the video with the greatest difference. Everyone gotta build their brand

I was looking for this kind tutorial. I used photo taken by iPhone 12 Pro. Transferred it to MBP and I found the size of photo is only 1.9MB. For RUclips I want to add the title of video. I used Photoshop CS. I try to type largest possible font, but it is very small. I though If I made th size lager, I can use larger letters. However, on even large size, the the size of letter does not change. Could you tell me how to solve this problem? The saved photo has 5.6MB in jpg, I reopened it on PS, but I can make the letters larger at all. Thanks, Ken
By the way I found the way to solve the problem. After I increased the resolution I export it to jpg and open it by preview and export to pdf. Then I opened it by ps and added the letters. This time I could write large one.

I use Photoshop cc 2020, but you can use also Photoshop cc 2017 or later

What version of Photoshop is this? Not one time do you mention what version or which build/patch you're running? Are we just to assume it's PS 2020 or 2021? Or maybe it's CC 2019 or CS6?
I wish that you hadn't used an image that you had pixelated yourself. Usually you're dealing with much worse quality.
I'm using Photoshop CC 2017 and I don't have those options. Any suggestions?
you have to follow my steps in the preference. In cc2017 it has that feature

What is the command you did to get a 2nd layer suddenly popped out at 3:15 ?
i press right button on the mouse and then convert the layer into a smart object
