One my favorite obscure songs. Such a great voice and the play on words is brilliant.

  • @robertg7396

This was always one of my favorite songs to come out of that era of country (80's/90's). The band really captured the recognition they deserved.

Very interesting song, thanks Don for the selection and the great reaction. I'm with you on that one line - I don't get it either. Gave a great day after Christmas (we have it as Boxing Day in up here in Canada ...)

What a very emotional song. Thanks for sharing this song reaction request. Cheers! ✌️

  • @PapaFixit

I've always liked this song. The play on words, the melody and harmony is just as nice as that first slow dance with a new woman. This song just feels as good as it sounds. 👍

  • @LadyMacbeth56

He means tired of being hurt. Tired of trying. She has someone who will love her, no matter what. Someone who has loved and waited for her. Her love is safe with him.

I played this song for my dad and he fell in love with it right away. Btw you’ve reacted to Perfect Stranger previously. You reacted to their song “The Hits”

  • @PapaFixit

The line rest your love on me. I'm a safe place. There's a song from 70s or 80s maybe. ..Conway I think, rest your love on me a while, was Conways line. I think this line was a nod to that older song. If your tired,...for the rest of your life, rest your love on me....for the rest of your life.

This takes me back, these guys came to little ole Freedom, Ok for the Freedom Rodeo back in the 90's. Unfortunately they were kind of a one hit wonder with this song.

  • @JJLovesMusic87

I got a Rockin country request. Its called, if you have a right to burn my flag by creed fisher.

  • @Davidferrell1964

I had forgotten about this song… I actually have it somewhere in my stack of 45rpm records.

  • @mattd.4553

One-hit wonder. The album was pretty good.

    @jcat__  +1

The group sounded very good, the harmonies were great The song lyrics overall missed the mark because my experience has taught me that silence in a relationship is a bad thing. i also never understood the concept why a man would want another man's ex without knowing why they broke up, unless it's obvious like abuse. Men spend more time researching the cars they are going to buy then getting to know the woman they want to spend the rest of their life with So that is why I think silence is bad
