A nice story about what a great guy Clint is. My son was in a parking lot in the Green Hills shopping center in Nashville on a cold snowy/icy day. As he was walking across the parking lot he slipped and fell in front of a car. As he was laying there the guy got out of his car and said “Son, you okay?”, my son turned to him and said “he’ll yes, by god you are Clint Black!’ Clint gave him that famous smile as he helped him up!

This is one heck of a song by the best song writer ever. Clint Black's lyrics are laced with imagery and figurative language that simply tell a story within a story. Somebody two-step with me!!!! “And this killing time, is killing me, Drinking myself blind, thinking I won’t see…man if I cross that line, will they burry me?? Hell I might just find I’ll be killing time for eternity” ….SO GOOD!😍
My mother was in Love with this man we have been to Branson Missouri to his shows I've actually shook hands with him after his show and he would sings CDs and T Shirts what a blessing to to been in the same room with him Rip Brother see you on the other side..
The thing that makes Clint Black so awesome is he is almost always smiling when he sings. The man is genuinely happy and it shows in his music. George, Clint, Alan and so many others really set the benchmark so high in the 80's and 90's that nowadays country music, or what they think is country music sucks. I miss driving my Ford Dually on a date out listening to this awesome country music. Just made us feel good. 🎸 JR
I suspect he was told by his people to smile more. If you look at the cover of his first album he's not smiling, but he is on Put Yourself In My Shoes. Same goes for his first video, A Better Man. His smile sold a lot of records and yes that stuff matters.
That song was released in 7-15-89, and became #1 in October of 89. This is how country should sound. Simple two steppin' country music. I always sing this song when I practice my singing. Clint Black, and other artists like Alan Jackson, and Garth Brooks, and Travis Tritt were the country class of '89. That's what I like about the 80's and 90's neotraditional country era
I recall playing this song in bars, honky tonks and dance halls in the 90s. People don't go out to dance anymore do they? For a guy who played country, but grew up in the city, I never thought I'd say this, but I miss those places. Watching people dance and have a good time, very little fighting, just people enjoying themselves and appreciating a band they could dance to.
Absolutely brilliant!. The real country music, quite a change from today’s rubbish. Great musicians playing great music. Love the 6 string bass lines, power & depth.👍
July 15, 1989: RCA Records released Clint Black's single "Killin' Time" to radio. It was the second single and title track to his 1989 debut album of the same name.👍
You said it. Country music has changed in the last 15-20 years, and not for the better. No steel guitar, fiddle, mandolin, etc. It's all just a rock band with a twang now. 😢
I'm 24. I started playing guitar at 11 and learned how to play by jamming with a band my uncle was in. This song will forever be in my memory. I still play it to this day, and always will.

My Wife and I very first dance was this song Curt Powers live at the Stillwaters Saloon 1995. The night we met. Still dancing today with her and this beautiful song today. Our song!
Thank you Curt!
May you rest in peace knowing you brought so many people together with your music.
One of the best country songs ever sung. Gettin loose and killin time.
Shelby Miller agreed with you on that

Hello ✋
One of the most iconic guitar riffs in music.
I Guess you're a country MUSIC lover?
Somebody two-step with me!!!!
“And this killing time, is killing me, Drinking myself blind, thinking I won’t see…man if I cross that line, will they burry me?? Hell I might just find I’ll be killing time for eternity” ….SO GOOD!😍
Let's go baby 😂
This is the first time I hear of this song and I absolutely love it. Clint Black was so handsome and charming back then! Lovin' the song
"When I got lost in the liquor, you are the only one I find" one of the best song verses ever.
hello do you really believe in God...
Im from new Zealand but american country music is the best music ever hands down, probably why I'm so singled out here in nz haha, I love this music
If you’re watching this is 2023 I love you, and You’re definitely not alone.
My mother was in Love with this man we have been to Branson Missouri to his shows I've actually shook hands with him after his show and he would sings CDs and T Shirts what a blessing to to been in the same room with him Rip Brother see you on the other side..
@Cindy Hello pretty face, how are you doing today? Thanks for your love support ❤️
JR
George Strait dancing with his wife!
Listen to Tyler Childers and Chris Stapleton they come pretty damn close
@@lisakovacs4831 no that's Clint's older brother.
I suspect he was told by his people to smile more. If you look at the cover of his first album he's not smiling, but he is on Put Yourself In My Shoes. Same goes for his first video, A Better Man. His smile sold a lot of records and yes that stuff matters.
You got that right.
Just good ole country. Times were so different then!
I just noticed the tip of the hat nod to George Strait in the video 😂
Clint Black’s best song, IMO. Great guitar, rhythm, and those devastating lyrics. Anyone who’s been deeply in love and lost can relate.
What a man!
Love the real country
@Sandra Hello pretty face, how are you doing today? Thanks for your love support ❤️
Hell yeah!....80s 90s country still is the best...this one from Clint is damn straight some good country.
Guys I am absolute metalhead that loves to listen to Clint! Clint Black and Glen Campbell are my go to. Absolutely great music
"And if I cross that line, and they bury me. Well I just might find I'll be killing time for eternity" Don't get much more powerful than that.
My grandmas favorite artist love you Clara Padilla. I promise this music will be passed on to our future family. Hope your proud of me “mom” ❤
Damn I've haven't heard this in years. Takes me back when county music was better.
Awesome two step song for some lovers lighting up the dance floor! 🎶❤️😘
You said it. Country music has changed in the last 15-20 years, and not for the better. No steel guitar, fiddle, mandolin, etc. It's all just a rock band with a twang now. 😢
Great singer
I'm 24. I started playing guitar at 11 and learned how to play by jamming with a band my uncle was in. This song will forever be in my memory. I still play it to this day, and always will.
Hello there. Thanks alot for your lovely words, I really do appreciate it. Tell me what's your favorite album of all of my albums you have listened to so far?
If you’re listening in 2023, you’re my kind of people! Wishing you nothing but the best.

Wish music was still this good
really depends on what artist you listen too
Yeah me too! There is no such thing as country music anymore on the radio at least. It's all trash!
Try Jamey Johnson
James Johnson your wish could not be more granted
Wayne Robinson bitch that dude is a joke. There's people on the radio that are more talented than him and are just as country. Jake Owen Brad paisley luke bryan Jason aldean sam hunt and thomas Rhett to name a few

@Mary Hello pretty face, how are you doing today? Thanks for your love support ❤️
This song is one of the most important pillars of my childhood. In fact, Clint Black's concert in Silver Spring was my very first concert ever.
hello do you really believe in God..
I was born the 80s and heard alot of country but his voice is country. Nowdays nothing sounds like past days of pure country music.
Clint Black was one of the top 5 during the 5 years (93-98) when Country music was actually real good. The hell happened after that I have no idea.
I fell in love with Clint Black, Garth Brooks, and Tim McGraw all at the same time. I have NOT been that much in love since.
